It had been a while since Eyphah had been hunting and it had been even longer still since he'd been hunting alone. The battle with Tallulah had been a good warm up but he felt that if he were going to become strong enough to become worthy of the title of Drakeinian that he was going to have to get back to doing battles that consisted of just him against the various, dangerous elements of the world. That being said he had parted ways with the Peisio Merkein for a short time, telling him that he was going to do a few hunts on his own and that Tallulah should do the same. The two of them were going to meet up again in a week's time to see how the other had done, to see what sorts of orbs they had both gathered, and how many. It really should be fun to see who got what when it came time for them to meet up again. For the time being though it Eyphah and the Merkein had gone in completely opposite directions, Eyphah heading more inland while Tallulah said that he was going to stick to the coast for a while. It was understandable he supposed, Tallulah was a water dweller so of course he'd want to head toward the water.
Now that they had parted ways he would admit that it was a bit on the quiet side and perhaps even a bit... lonely. Not that he would actually admit to such a thing out loud. He was a strong, powerful Diabi, one that was going to become something great one day, and he couldn't really let others know that traveling on his own after so long traveling with Tallulah was so lonesome. The last thing he wanted was to get teased for such a thought, one that he saw D probably mocking him for were he to run across that big headed, overly smart Firani again. He was the sort that Eyphah would want to strangle on a normal day... were it not for the fact that he wanted the guy to join his group and become the strategist for it. Well, when he actually put together his own clan that was. Normally it was led by a female, someone powerful and amazing like Eyphah's own mother, but he felt that he would be able to do it himself. He just had to find all the right people to become a part of his clan was all. Thus far he knew he wanted Tallulah and D there, as for other possible members he wasn't quite sure yet. It would be interesting to add Kioda, that he knew for sure, but as for others... who knew.
Shaking his head the Diabi attempted to force himself to focus, "No, wake up Eyphah, this is no time to be thinking about things like that." He scolded himself quietly. He shouldn't be worrying about putting together a clan right now. He'd already vowed that he wasn't going to do such a thing until he had the power to protect the clan that he put together and to become as powerful as he felt a clan head should be he was going to have to become Drakeinian. To do that he needed orbs, to get orbs he needed to hunt dragons, and to hunt dragons he needed to focus on hunting dragons! After saying that a few times over in his head like a mantra he found that he was finally able to focus again before he trotted on ahead, still seeking out the ones that he was looking for, the deadly Firani dragons, and when he spotted a trio of them he couldn't help but to grin, "Oh yes, there you beauties are." He purred, teeth barred into a smile, before he went charging ahead toward them. He was going to take these ones down, get more of those fiery red orbs, and then he would make a meal of their delicious corpses... or at least what he could cut off of them before they vanished he thought to himself.
At least that had been the plan but much to his shock after he leapt on one of them, teeth sinking, blood filling in his mouth in a delightful manner, he got himself thrown off... and the three Firani seemed to be retreating. The Diabi stood there in utter shock, having no idea what was going on, and then he thought about it. The red orbs that he'd gathered before, five of them in fact, had the other Firani learned about that? What if they knew about what he and Tallulah had done... did that mean that they were going to make themselves scarce? The idea that it might be all that much harder to get to sink his teeth into a tasty dragon actually upset the Diabi a bit. He wanted to get his meat and his orbs, damn it! The Firani weren't supposed to retreat just because he and Tallulah had killed a group of them! That wasn't how this worked!
The now huffy Diabi sat down in the warm sand, licking the thick, spicy tasting blood from his maw, and decided that he might need to rethink his manner of doing things. Did this mean that he... that he needed to plan again? The idea was a horrible one, he didn't want to have to think that far ahead, damn it! He just wanted to hurt and kill... but he supposed that if push came to shove ambushing would have to come into play. Nodding his head over that though he pushed to his feet and started forward once more. The dragons could run all they wanted but he would continue to dog their steps until he got what he wanted...
