After an afternoon of hunting, doing a lot of progressively tighter circles around the area that he was almost certain the Aiskala was going to be he finally spotted the dragon. It was half buried in the snow, likely having done so in hopes that the Diabi wouldn't spot it, and he was pretty sure that a less aggressive hunter would have. Not to mention that a less aggressive hunter wouldn't have given up by now so that they could go off and find other prey instead. Eyphah wasn't like that though, he was to the point of being obsessive when it came to finding what he considered his and that dragon's orb was his. It was just the fact that the stupid dragon carrying it wasn't yet aware of that important fact. It would know soon enough though he thought to himself as he dove down, landing in a fairly graceful manner for someone as vicious as he was, and he was instantly charging toward the dragon. He was already upon the wounded beast, his scythe like claws digging in, before it had really even seemed to realize that it had been found.
Eyphah would bet anything that a big part of the slow reaction time was the wound that he had given it earlier, it must have slowed it down, and without proper time to recover he'd been able to get the drop on the prickly dragon. The battle was fierce but it was also quick, with the Diabi Drakein finishing his prey off in very few move, even able to score himself a good chunk of meat along with the orb that was left behind. Grinning happily he trotted over, starring down at the orb, and he scooped it up in one blood coated forefoot, "Hello beautiful, it's about time that you stopped being so elusive. Time for you to join the other two of your kind that I have gathered thus far." He purred at it before he grabbed up the meat and headed on his way. It was time he find himself a temporary place to bed down, he wanted to get rested up for the next day and lots more Aiskala hunting after all.
