Another swift attack was in order it would seem as his prey, his delicious, delicious Ysali pretty, was close at hand once more. It may have escaped him last time but each time he caught up with the squealing creature he got to attack, getting a good mouthful of the Ysali's delicious taste. It really was a complete and utter waste that they crumbled so he figured that this was the only way that he could enjoy their taste, bit by savory bit. He would continue to savor them too, until he was strong enough to finally down another one and steal their precious orb. It really was a toss up what was better, probably the orb given what it's power meant to him and his future. Still, he enjoy everything about his hunts even if they weren't exactly perfect. He could enjoy everything about the hunt, use them as a learning experience as far as perfecting his skills went. So much to do with these cowardly greens, so little time he thought to himself, giving a little purr.
As soon as he spotted the one that he was following along after he crouched down, shuffling along toward them, tail lashing in a gleeful manner. He so loved the Ysali, the way that they squealed when you jumped on them, it was wonderful! He stuck to the shadows as he moved along, crouching lower, waiting for it, looking for his time to strike, and then he was suddenly lunging forward to land on the back of the Ysali that he had already been chasing until this point. The creature gave an annoyed, frustrated sound, barred its teeth, snarled, and set to shaking violently to knock the Diabi from its back before flee as fast as he could from the snappy Diabi.
The moment that he was shaken off the Drakein landed on his feet, hopped backwards a few steps, then burst into peels of laughter as the other dragon ran off. He shook his head, "Silly, stupid beast." He said, sounding far to amused at the way that the Ysali vanished so quickly. Pushing up to his feet he stretched out all over, fluttered his wings, then trotted forward, following after the trail of blood that the creature was still losing. It really was making it far too easy for him but he didn't mind too much. The hunt was fun enough, he'd continued to hunt this one as long as it took before it finally gave up and just let him have what he wanted, that being that beautiful, glittering orb of power that he wanted so badly.
