User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Name: Lysander Cadwell

Nicknames: Ly, Caddie

Gender: Male

Age: 23

Birthday: October 31st

Sign: Scorpio

School: Azure Valley

Fav. Food: Artichoke hearts dipped in lemon-herb butter (which is impossible to get in a school cafeteria I'll have you know!)

Hated Food: Chocolate. Even more so -filled- chocolate. Ruining perfectly good filling flavors by stuffing them in nasty ground seed paste.

Hobbies:

  • Scrabble -- Totally not a 'cool' hobby but that doesn't change the fact that he's got three different editions of the official Scrabble dictionary tucked away in his room. He always liked words and got into competing in spelling bee's as a child. Once he was old enough to not chew on pieces or loose them his parents introduced him to the wonderful world of Scrabble and he's been addicted ever sense. He played in tournaments while in high school but has had to take a break from that because of preparing for collage. It's more important to him to focus on his schoolwork than scrabble tournaments. He does still like to play tournament style when he plays just for the extra challenge.

  • Psychology -- After you've written a thesis paper on a subject you'd call it a hobby too >( (and no don't ask why he wrote his thesis already. He's not a freak, really). Lysander wants to be a Psychologist when he's done with college and absolutely loves the subject. He's fascinated by how people's minds work and with how complicated the human mind can be. He likes studying how people can be influenced by outside forces on an emotional level and how nature vs nurture influences development. His classes Azure Valley are all geared toward a major in Psychology when he transfers, hopefully, to DCU. He plans on becoming a behavioral psychologist (he wrote his thesis on nature vs nurture
Note: Lysander hasn't actually written a damn thing but he likes telling people he has because their reactions to it are priceless.)

  • People Watching -- Associated with his above love of Psychology Lysander will go to the mall just to sit on a bench (with a good supply of Starbucks of course) and watch whoever happens to walk by. He thinks you can learn a lot about people by what they do when they believe everyone is watching them. He doesn't really do this officially as a study, unless he's working on schoolwork, and it's more of a casual thing. To him it's a good way to relax and learn at the same time. He prefers to spend his people watching time alone but will occasionally take a good friend or two along.

  • Fashion -- Ly -loves- fashion. Keeping up with the latest styles of anything is practically a full time job for him. He reads ever fashion magazine like it's a bible and actually spends time cross referencing them with each other to find out what -really- is the height of fashion at the time. His out of school clothes and any accessories with his uniform are tell-tale signs of his obsession (which is the plague of his trust fund). He doesn't generally stick to any one designer over another but if he -had- to pick it would be Versace.

  • Golf-- Lysander started playing golf at a pretty young age. His father figured it would be an easy way to keep an eye on the kid while he still got to play with his business buddies. He hasn't really ever taken it seriously and mostly plays for fun but he's pretty good at it. He plays on the team at Azure Valley (which his father takes as meaning he'll have business connections for life). Playing as a child, and often carrying around his fathers gear, is wear he earned the nickname "Caddie" which he hates with a passion.

Virtues:

  • "Hey Preacher Man..." Passionate -- Having been raised to believe that the only way to change something is to stand up for it Lysander is extremely passionate about his beliefs. If he'd been born in the 60's he would have been right there putting daises in loaded rifles without batting an eye. He is willing to stand up for what he believes in do or die and believes everyone else should do the same. He has no qualms about standing on the proverbial soapbox and telling everyone within earshot what is on his mind and what should be done about it. His parents taught him from a early age to stand up for what you believed in because if no one stands up nothing changes. Both of his parents were big activists involved in civil rights (making -everyone- equal and getting rid of labels based on gender, race, religion, etc), animal rights, and environmentalism. He grew up holding onto his father's leg while his father held up signs and yelled out protests. He doesn't really do much thinking about if people will follow him. Of course they will Note: See "Hubris what now?" flaw for why he thinks people will follow him.
  • "Don't you want to say you were there?" Vocal/Passionate-- Lysander was taught from an early age that you should be willing to stand up for whatever you believe in till the bitter end. He has no problems telling people what he thinks and defending what he believes with every bit of his energy. He will never back down on what he believes to be right. He is very good at speaking on issues from an emotional angle, tugging on heart strings and the like, because he believes he's right so much. His biggest gripe is Civil Rights for everyone. He's very outspoken about making everyone equal because his father was always very outspoken about the same issue. He does join protests on a regular basis when one comes through town and likes getting the proverbial soap box and making speeches to rile up the other protesters.Note: While this can make him a good leader type it also has a -major- draw back. See "Why isn't that -me-" in the flaws section for details
  • "I've been working on this for six years" Dedicated -- Once he has set his mind something he will see it through to the end no matter what the end may be. There is no half way with Lysander and he has his favorite Quote (Yoda's famous "Do or Do Not, there is no Try" tattooed round his ankle. He truly believes in the motto too. He never 'tries' something. He does it and he does it until he's gone as far as humanly possible. Currently this is focused on his desire to become a psychologist.

Flaws:

  • "Hubris what now?" Obstinate -- Lysander thinks he's right. All the time. What's the point of believing or doing something if it's not right, right? He tends to trample over other people's opinions if they don't agree with him or just outright ignores that they had an opinion at all. This usually results if others not sharing their opinion with him and letting him run himself straight into trouble hoping (vainly) that it will teach him a lesson and make him change his mind.
  • "Why isn't that -me-"." Jealous -- If you have it and he doesn't Lysander wants it and most likely hates you for it. He has been known on occasion to take time out of his day to find ways to take whatever someone else has gotten away from them. Case in point, he lost a golf match once and planted specially weighted balls in the winners bag and got them disqualified for cheating. He wants to be the one in the spotlight and hates it when other people are recognized over him. He -hates- loosing more than anything else and he takes competitions to the extreme. Note: This effects Sailor Arachne's ability to work in a team environment. He will not take being 'second banana' to anyone and if he's not in charge well you can just forget him helping or listening to you.
  • "Temper, temper." Anger Management needed -- When Lysander gets angry, and he can get that way pretty easily, he is a force to be reckoned with and not in a good way. His anger makes him completely irrational and he is prone to lash out (mostly verbally) against those around him including friends if they're in the wrong place at the wrong time. Once you make Lysander angry it is -very- hard to get him to forgive you. He just does not take anything lightly and will hold onto a grudge well past when it's necessary. Generally once you've aroused his anger he seethes quietly behind a smile and plots your demise. He gets so attached to his views and ideals that seeing someone going against those views grates against his temper. Note: This heavily effects Sailor Arachne. Loosing in battle = humiliation to Lysander and if/when he meets that opponent again he is very likely to make stupid decisions in trying to avenge his defeat

Fashion:

At Home: Cargo pants and light t-shirts that are battered to the the point of being fluffy and soft and nothing he'd ever be seen in public in (They're not fashionable and he's not allowed to look frumpy in public).

At School: Neat and trimmed. He irons his uniform -every- morning without fail. He does like to add his own touches with flashy watches and simple yet decorative rings.

At Play: Whatever happens to be in fashion at the time. He keeps up with the heights of fashion like a maniac and always has a new outfit and new shoes and new -everything-.

Sailor Scout: Clean lines, slick, and debonair. Oh, did we mention he -loves- Victorian era clothing? No? Well now you know.

Tidbits:
  • The Devil's Hand -- Lysander is left-handed and while he refuses to 'learn' how to be right handed he counts it as a curse more often than not. He's always getting ink on his hand (he prefers writing with gel/liquid ink pens), always bumping into people when he has to sit next to someone at a table, and always backwards when trying to learn how to do something with his hands.

  • "Flirting? Nah, it was just to get a reaction out of you" -- Lysander is a -horrible- flirt, or at least that's what most people will tell you. He on the other had is adamant that he only does it because the reactions people have are -priceless-. He doesn't really actually hit on people but if there is the option to make a comment dirty he'll be the first one to do it (and he doesn't care if you're a guy or girl). He'd be the sort to start a "... in my pants" joke (though he does try to keep a -little- class in his comments)

  • Man, Woman ... wtf we're all human --Lysander never has, and never will, pay attention to things that are meant to be 'boy' things and 'girl' things. He was not raised in a home where things were 'boy' and 'girl' so he's never really understood why people seem to conform to that. It seems to him to be a lot easier, and cause less pointless issues, to just go with what you want and what feels comfortable to you.

It is also an issue that he's very outspoken about. He believes firmly that if people stopped paying attention to 'man' and 'woman' that everything would work a lot smoother. There wouldn't be men thinking that women couldn't do things just because they're women and there wouldn't be any women complaining about men holding them back. Everyone would be the same and get treated the same. Bye Bye sexist issues of any type

  • Are you crying? -- Lysander has a powerful, and often overbearing, personality and the reason for this is because he attaches strong emotions to everything. His parents have often explained his emotions like a volcano. Calm and cool on the outside but there is always the lurking danger of an eruption and you -never- know when it's going to happen. While he is never really outwardly calm and collected, he likes to shove his opinion in people's faces way too much for that, he can keep his explosive temper mostly under wraps. Most of his 'explosive' outbursts in public usually happen while he's protesting so they do not seem -too- out of place. He has been known though to lay into others at school who try to stand against his opinion.

  • "The path to heaven often leads through Hell!" -- Lysander's nature leaves him very vulnerable to straying down the wrong path in the name of good. Kill a few innocents and world peace comes about? Well it's for the greater good right? And if you're going to believe in something and stand up for it you -must- be willing to do whatever it takes to accomplish your goal. Another individual with a personality similar to his who is very good at being manipulative could stand a chance of swaying Lysander (or Sailor Arachne) to the 'dark side' if they worded things correctly. Note: This is a future possible plot point/character development issue for Lysander.

  • Lysander has a part-time job working at Phina Fiona's, an upscale boutique in town. He loves his job since it means he gets to practically wallow in clothes and his boss is amazing and gives him a discount on stuff. It's like a dream come true

Challenge: The only thing you have to fear .... is me!

Attack #1 - Arachne's Venom!
[Arachne cups his hands over each other and a ball of violent green energy starts to grow between his palms. Once enough energy is collected the orb is throw at an enemy. Once struck the enemy takes the effect of the harsh acid burning into their skin and clothing ((Note: The balls can only get about the size of a baseball. They work on the same basis of an Orb of Acid spell in dnd and strikes that connect burn so long as the acid is still on skin or clothing. The acid can burn through clothing/fabrics and cause 1st degree burns if it contacts skin.))]
  • Duration: Instantaneous, the orbs must be thrown within one post or Arachne risks burning himself.
  • Avoidable: Yes. Arachne must throw the balls himself so they're only as good as his aim.
  • Downside: If Arachne can't throw the ball within a post of it's creation the acid orb will begin to burn his own hands

Attack #1a - Arachne Venomous Wish!
[Arachne cups his hands over each other and a ball of violent green energy starts to grow between his palms. Once enough energy is collected the orb is throw at an enemy. Once struck the enemy takes the effect of the harsh acid burning into their skin and clothing. ((Note: The balls can only get about the size of a softball. Now the acid can not be removed from whatever surface they strike and continue to cause burns. The orbs can also now cause splash effects. Near-by targets (enemies and allies take a weaker form of damage equivalent to the weaker version of the attack. This attack can be done twice per battle then Arachne is reduced to his base attack.))]
  • Duration: Instantaneous, the orbs must be thrown within one post or Arachne risks burning himself.
  • Avoidable: Yes. Arachne must throw the balls himself so they're only as good as his aim.
  • Downside: If Arachne can't throw the ball within a post of it's creation the acid orb will begin to burn his own hands. The orbs splash effects can also harm allies if they are close to the point of impact

Locked

Attack #2 - Widow's Kiss
[Arachne holds his hands out in front of him and the misty form of a spider appears in his hands. The spider drops from his hands and skurries across the battle field toward his enemies intent on sinking it's fangs into their flesh.. Enemies are poisoned by the spiders venom and suffer it's effects for one minute. ((Note: Arachne can only hit one target with the attack. The ethereal spider disappears once the attack has taken effect)
  • Duration:One minute. Effects slowly get worse off as the time lapses. Can only be done once per battle.
  • Avoidable: Only if you can knock him out before the spider gets you (it disappears if he looses consciousness/stops concentrating). The spider is incorporeal.
  • Downside: Arachne must concentrate to keep the spider on the battlefield. If he is knocked out or looses focus the spider vanishes and his attack is wasted
  • Venom Effects:For the first few seconds enemies are unaware of the effects of the bite. The venom slowly drains enemies abilities, sapping their strength and magic energy, while under it's effects. Attacks slowly become harder to maintain or impossible, in the case of attacks that need large amounts of energy, until the venom renders the effected opponent useless magic wise. Note: The effects are not permanent and wear off over time. They retain enough to keep powered up but are generally out of power to do more than physical attacks. Stronger opponents (Eternals/Generals/Prince/ss'/GK/Q's) may still be able to get off weak attacks. The total effects last for about 5 minuets before the opponents powers begin to return

Friends, Foes & Connections

Human

  • Rikard - Boyfriend. Adorable and cute in so many ways though he does have abandonment issues
  • Addison - Went to prom with her after she told him he was going as her arm candy. Nice girl who's got just the right sort of bite to back up her bark.
  • Cordelia - Rik's ex (from forever ago) but fun none the less. She enjoys a good shopping trip.
  • Lucien - Probably can't get any more shy. Totally cute but slightly obnoxious.

Senshi

  • Chaonis - Rude, but saved Lysander from a Youma before he awoke as a Senshi so he's got to have some credit.
  • Pollux - Bit boss of the Mercenaries. He respects the other guy ad likes what he's doing.
  • Thisbe - First member of his Team. She's not well versed on being a senshi but she's learning and they work well together.
  • Corvus - Thinks a bit too much of herself and her abilities. Doesn't work well with others.

Negaverse Agents

  • Scheelite - Negaverse Boyfriend. Arachne discovered Scheelite is terrified of spiders and now gleefuly torments him whenever he can catch him.
  • Benitoite - Negaverse Boyfriend #2. Arachne started talking to the blond and managed to snog him in the doorway of a clothing shop. How could he resist someone else who appreciates a good outfit?
  • Fluorite - Attacks first and asks questions later. Arachne would rather not run into her again unless someone's taken the knives away first.
  • Richeterite - Negaverse Boyfriend #3. Got to kiss him on his birthday. Good for snarky banter.

Cats

  • Chloe - .... did we mention her skirt is -really- short?

Solo // A Cat of All Things

If someone had ever asked him what sort of thing he’d expect to waltz into his life and change it completely he wouldn’t have -ever- said a cat. Cats were supposed to be cute little things that people got because they wanted something small and fuzzy to curl up in their lap that didn’t yip all the time. They weren’t supposed to talk and turn your life upside down and tell you that you were something more than a normal teenager. At least the cat had been cute which didn’t really make things better but they certainly didn’t make it worse.

It did mean though that he wouldn't have to worry about those creepy monster things attacking him and not being able to defend himself. Doing that once was enough for a lifetime. He still wasn’t sure he understood everything though. Super powers, connection to another world, something about being reborn, protecting the universe … it was all complicated and it didn’t seem like anyone really had all the answers. This pissed him off a bit in various ways. If you were going to do things like this to innocent kids then you should at least make sure you have the answers.

They hadn’t even given the authorities the answers either. There were still news reports every night about sightings of the terrorists and the damage they or the monsters caused. Now he was one of them too. He hadn’t been sure what to think of the reports, whether they really were terrorists or something else was going on like the conspiracy nuts at school liked to say, and here he was now shoved directly into the mess of it all. Someone should have at least told the government what was going on so they could do one of their wonderful little cover-ups or –something-.

But they hadn’t been told. No one had been told. They’d just been left in the dark wondering when some monster would crash into their home or into their lives and take away their sense of balance in the world. He’d been like that too. Thinking that ‘oh it won’t happen to me’ until one of those monsters had tried to eat him in the street and some guy in a weird outfit had shown up and dusted it.

His life had been perfectly normal until that day and then it had happened again only –he- was the guy in the weird outfit protecting himself and there was no one around who could really give him answers. There was just a city full of people who, if they knew, would clamor for him to go to jail or worse and wouldn’t believe him that a cat had done this and it was for their protection.

It was bullshit.

Bullshit that someone should do something about. That meant he should do something about it since no one else had yet which probably meant that no one else was going to.

That was it then. He’d just have to find a way to turn the ‘terrorist’ into the super hero’s they were supposed to be.

That was something for a later day though. For now he had to deal with his own preconceptions about this Senshi business.

He lay back in his bed and twirled the small dark green pen that the feline had given to him. It was neat looking at least. The color was nice and there was a spider etched into the gold on the top. The feline had shown him how it worked, and what it turned him into, and then left. “Sailor Arachne huh …. Well at least I still have absolutely ******** amazing fashion sense even like that.” Of course the first thing he’d done, once out of danger at least, was check over the ‘costume’ that he’d appeared in.

He laughed softly to himself as he continued to twirl the pen. “Guess that makes me the real spiderman too. Who’d have thought?" His smirk widened as he balanced the transformation pen in his hand. Lysander Cadwell wasn't the sort of person you'd think of first when casting for someone to save the world. Which, oddly, was something that happened a lot in comics but he wasn't even -that- sort of 'not right person'. Sure he stood up for a lot of things, world peace included, but he'd always been on the non-violent end of it. He didn't like fighting (it was so much more fun to 'love' people) and now he was supposed to fight hideous monsters and who knows what else to protect the universe.

Okay maybe that was a lie.

He'd gotten violent a few times but generally he kept his nasty outbursts to verbal things than physical fighting. He might mess up his pretty face ...

"... Oh god ... that's going to happen a lot." He groaned and rolled over to bury his face into the pillows he'd been laying on. "I'm so going to kick whoever's responsible for this when i find them." He grumbled to himself. He was going to have to fight things and that would mean he'd get battered and bruised.

How would he explain that to his adoring fans?

Well he was amazing so he'd just have to think of something. Or he'd have to find others to work for him to get beat up so he didn't have to. You couldn’t change the world looking like the victim of horrible violence, well maybe you could but HE wasn’t going to do that. If his face was going to end up in the newspaper or in magazines it was going to look amazing.

“Getting ahead of myself though. First it should be looking for those ‘others’ who can take hits for me and who can tell me what the hell is going on.”

Solo // The Ups and Downs of Being a Hero

He’d really really tried to avoid doing cliché facebook pictures for anything and yet over the last month he’d been reduced to doing it more and more often. He –so- wasn’t leaving his phone or a camera around anywhere while he stalked youma hoping that no one would take it. It was almost sad though that he couldn’t post them on his facebook. Some of them were damn good shots if he had to say so himself. Which was saying a lot if he had any voice in the matter considering half of them were taken while running away from some bizarre looking abomination and trying not to get eaten at the same time.

He’d been all ready to have another picture to add to the list he was going to be depressed about not being able to upload too. It would have been perfect if the sound of the phone snapping the picture hadn’t coincided with something warm and slightly sticky wrapping around his ankle and pulling him off his feet.

“s**t!” His arms cracked against the sidewalk, jarring pain up the entire length of both of his arms, as he was pulled off balance and drug back toward the youma. Scrambling to roll himself over and try to kick at the tentacle at the same time he just managed to miss his chance to grab a passing park bench. It was a shame too as now he was being drug toward a rather impressive set of teeth.

“Tic tac’s … someone invented tic tacs for just this reason. You –reek-.”

With a rather impressive kick to the tentacle, tongue, whatever, that was wrapped around his leg (and what would end up being a hugely impressive bruise on his own ankle) he managed to skewer the appendage with a heel causing the youma to pull it back with a loud whine.

Cursing, and half limping, he scrambled to his feet and a away from the youma while it nurses its wound. He doubted that would stop it at all but at least it meant that the tongue-thing was probably out of commission for a while. He shook his ankle out, trying to ignore the pain, before straightening up.

“Alright you ugly … I’m going with camelion-dog … lets try that again.” He dusted his hands off as the creature swiveled it’s eyes back at him and hissed.

Claws scraping along the sidewalk, rear ones tearing up the grass, the youma charged at him teeth bared still determined to eat the senshi despite the earlier failure.

He was having no part of that and ducked out of the way as the creature took a dive at him. It would have been a brilliant move if he’d paid attention to the stupid things tail which made perfect contact with his side and sent him tumbling across the grass.

Groaning he pulled himself up and turned to face the thing again. “Damn you ******** hit hard.” Shaking his hair out of his face he held his hands up and smirked. “Lets see how you like the taste of this.” The neon glow began between his palms as the youma lined up again for another pass. When he was sure he had enough energy stored and its mouth was open wide enough he reeled back and tossed the glowing ball straight down the youma’s throat. It wasn’t a hard task considering how big the damn things mouth was.

The youma looked for a moment like it was going to completely ignore his attack. Cursing he scrambled out of the way just as the thing clawed itself to a stop with a vicious, and rather pained sounding, wail. The youma thrashed around in the grass, clawing at its own throat, before exploding into a pile of ash.

Taking a deep breath he let his shoulders relax …

“jesus ******** .. .god damn, s**t that hurts.” Glad there was no one around to see as he grabbed his ankle and hopped backwards until he hit a tree he could lean against.

At least now he knew why it was a good idea to never get kicked by a girl in high heels. Those bitches hurt! Leaning his head back against the tree he powered down and yanked off his converse (which took a lot less effort than trying to take off Arachne’s boots) to look at the damage.

“God I won’t be able to wear shorts for a week at least.” His ankle bone was already turning a nice shade of purple which went lovely with the red welt in the shape of the back curve of the boot’s heel. “This is so not how being a dashing super hero is supposed to go you know.” Maybe a few strategic cuts and bruises were in order but not the crap he’d had to put up with so far. It was a damn good thing his parents weren’t over bearing or he’d never be able to hide the bruises. He wasn’t even going to think about what that was going to do to his dating life.

Wincing he pulled his shoe back on and hobbled over to kick at the dust spread in a pile next to the sidewalk.

“Good riddance.” Calling up his phone again he checked the picture he’d managed to take. It was a rather nice shot of his face and shoulder but the rest of it was spoiled by the slobbering thing behind him and the obvious intent of its tongue. “Oh well … at least it’s visible and it counts.” He shook his head and sent the picture off to the short-skirted hottie who was running the contest

Solo // Not Getting Left Behind

Disney. Disney

He couldn’t believe them. They’d all just flounced off without even bothering to mention to him that they were going on vacation. He could almost forgive not inviting him to come along, maybe, but to not even -tell- him? What sort of friends did they think they were? It was criminal. Well Rik had vaguely told him that he was going somewhere but Demetri hadn’t said a thing and Rik hadn’t said they were going to Disney World of all places. Plus if Demetri’s Facebook was anything to go by Cordelia was going along and he’d seen pictures of her.

Bastards.

He had almost let them get away with it too until he realized that Demetri had started updating where he was and what he was doing on an almost hourly basis. So he’d gotten on the phone with his families travel agent as soon as the idiot blond had said what room he was in and talked the poor girl into getting him the exact room number he wanted at the hotel. He knew he really should pull strings like that but given how often his parents traveled they’d probably paid that girls salary three times over. It had taken a bit more money than he wanted to spend (hello shopping in Florida?) but it would be worth it when he surprised them all.

The airport wasn’t doing him any favors though. Of course when he’d wanted to leave there was a delay so he was stuck waiting for his flight to get ungrounded. At least they had a starbucks and he’d been able to grab an espresso to tide him over. He’d been texting Rik and Demetri too amazingly without lying to them since so far he’d just mentioned being bored.

There wasn’t a whole lot to do while he was waiting on the flight except poke at his phone or tablet and watch the various people coming and going. It was pretty interesting that day given his love of trying to guess anything and everything about a person. It was obvious which ones were tourists heading home from vacation (horrible clothes and overly heavy suitcases), which ones were business people (way to neat clothes and a phone glued to their hand), and which ones were visiting family or leaving family (either expressions of dread or relief respectively).

He kicked back in the chair and pulled open the Disney website on his tablet. He hadn’t been to the park since he was a little kid and could only remember some of the rides and attractions. If the site was anything to go by they’d added a ton of things since then and he had no idea where to even begin with the list of things he wanted to do. Shopping was at the top of the list of course but that was a given so he wasn’t even sure it should count. Since his flight had been delayed he would have to give his boytoys extra time to themselves before he crashed the party so they would have plenty of time to get whatever they wanted to done.

He ticked off a few things on an itinerary that he knew he wanted to get done before he heard an announcement that his flight was finally boarding.

Grin plastered on his lips he tucked his things away and grabbed his carry-on before heading toward the gate.

Disney World better look out.

Solo // Existential dilemma's about home

The barren wasteland of his ‘home world’ had thrown him for a loop the first time he’d visited. It was disconcerting to be told somewhere was the home of your soul and then to find out that there was nothing there but rocks, dirt, and the ruins of another life. He hadn’t really felt attached to it since he had no real memories of anything that could have happened there but the feeling was still strange all the same. He’d felt like he was being shown something he should care about and knew that there were memories there but he couldn’t get at them. He was sure he would have a whole new appreciation for how Alzheimer’s patients felt after the experience.

After the first time he’d even told himself he wouldn’t come back but he found himself there again and again. Sitting on a dusty rock with any other life hundreds of thousands of miles away he could tell himself that it hadn’t always been like that but it was hard to see through the decay of centuries. The second time he’d come out to the asteroid he had explored what he could and eventually found the ruins of what must have been the major city. The third time he had refused to go anywhere near it but instead wandered around out over the rock face of his ‘home’.

He was used to looking at things from different angles and trying to figure out what the motivations behind others and his own emotions were but this one escaped him.

Seeing the wasteland of what he had been told was once a thriving civilization just made him angry and he wasn’t exactly sure why.

It had no connection to him really, not to the ‘him’ he knew, yet to know that something had destroyed this got under his skin. From the little bits of things he’d heard and picked up the world that the Senshi had originally hailed from hadn’t just fallen to something better it had been ruined. Yet whatever ruined it hadn’t created a better civilization. He didn’t understand any of it and wasn’t even sure he actually cared.

He wasn’t supposed to have misplaced emotions and yet that’s exactly what he felt like the ones he had for the broken down city were. Emotions he wasn’t supposed to have. Feelings tying him to some place he’d never been to before and to a life he couldn’t remember living.

It reminded him of how people in movies with amnesia said they felt. They could be told until people were blue in the face that something was the truth and that their lives were a certain way but they couldn’t tell themselves if it was the truth or not.

This was where he’d come from. This was where his soul called home and where his powers were granted to him from. Without it he would just be another normal kid living a normal life and he still couldn’t make sense of it. It was completely different than when his parents had taken him to Europe to see the ‘family history’. He hadn’t felt any connection to anywhere there but here on a cold hunk of rock hundreds of thousands of miles away from earth he did feel something.

The unsettling feeling had kept him from returning to the asteroid for weeks.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sitting on the still slightly vertical end of a column that had been broken in half centuries ago he thought back to what he’d told himself last time he’d come out there. He’d told himself that he wasn’t going to bother anymore, that there wasn’t a point in it, and yet here he was staring out over the city’s ruins and into the black expanse of space. The remains of the city stretched out around him in all directions and out there among the stars there were dozens, possibly hundreds, of places just like it moldering away lost and forgotten. Yet despite the places being lost their guardians, or whatever the senshi really were, had started to be reborn onto another hunk of rock where they weren’t even wanted.

He didn’t know what it all meant or if it was even supposed to mean anything.

What were you supposed to feel when coming face to face with the fact that you were among the last remnants of what had been a glorious civilization? He knew he was angry about it but who was there really to be angry at and why should he even be angry in the first place? He didn’t know who’d done it or what had done it or why they’d done it. The exact circumstances could mean a lot in the end. If it had been the fault of the people who’d once lived here that they’d been relegated to the back pages of history then he didn’t have any reason to be upset about it. It shouldn’t really mean anything to him. Sure he might have had the same soul as some guardian of this broken down place but he wasn’t from here. It wasn’t his home.

Yet even though it felt slightly disconnected to him it also felt like it was his home. Some part of him, some part of Arachne, knew why he felt like this but it was out of his power to figure out what it all was. There were gaps, pieces missing, and he was left standing on one side of the bridge while the answers waved at him from the other side refusing to help him get any closer.

He knew there had to be other Senshi who’d had the same thoughts but the idea of a bunch of teenagers in outlandish costumes sitting around in a circle talking about their past was just absurd. They didn’t exactly seem to be all that friendly anyway, at least not the few he’d met, so he would bet they wouldn’t even want to talk about it. Some of them might not even care about what had happened to their lives before. He hadn’t even really cared before. Everything had just been something someone else said about where the senshi had come from until he’d actually come out here himself to see.

Talking about it still wasn’t even really anywhere near the top of his list of things he wanted to do. It would have been much easier if someone could just tell him if it actually mattered or not what had happened to this place. If it was just another causality of the same war they were still fighting then it didn’t really mean anything. There wasn’t anyone to give him that answer though.

The only answers he’d gotten (not that he’d really looked for any) seemed to just point him in the direction of this being pointless. Most of the population of Destiny City hated the senshi or agreed that they should be put in jail which ruined the whole joy of being a real super hero.

Even dusting the youma had been tainted. It had been so easy before. Find a monster, kill it, and rejoice. Now he’d found out that the youma used to be people. Had he not been awoken into whatever this life was he might have become one of them one day. Some pour soul who’d had everything drained out of them until they were just a husk.

The knowledge hadn’t really stopped him from dusting the things but coming to terms with what almost amounted to homicide wasn’t something a seventeen year old should have to deal with.

Sliding off the top of the column he landed on the remnants of a street with a small puff of dust. His fingers slid along the cold stone as he turned to walk deeper into the ruins lost in the thoughts of what had become of his life.

He didn’t pay much attention to it at first but as he walked it was almost like he could see another world on the edges of his vision. It seemed like buildings manifested themselves -just- as they were heading out of his sight but his mind wasn’t really paying attention to it. He’d seen plenty of movies about ancient Greece and Rome so it wouldn’t be odd to imagine that he could see what the buildings looked like.

A house here, shops there, and maybe even a theatre or two lined the roads. It was easy enough to pretend he knew what things had looked like and to pretend what he was just barely seeing was his own imagination.

The street he’d been following eventually turned into a city center, or at least something that had once been important, and wrapped around the base of a huge dais. There were remains of something there and he reached out to pick up a piece of white marble. Whatever it was hadn’t just fallen apart it had been destroyed, smashed into thousands of pieces.

“Just like this whole damn place.” He shook his head and wrapped his fingers around the piece of rock before taking himself back home.

Regular // Happy Birthday To Us

Once he'd left the halloween party he powered down and shoved himself back into being Lysander instead of Sailor Arachne. He headed home, telling his parents he wouldn't be there for long, and got a shower before putting on something impressive. He checked his phone to make sure he hadn't goten another text from Rik before snagging his wallet and heading back out. He still had the text with the time and place saved and if he was lucky he might even beat Rik there and get to surprise him a little

He, on the other hand, had headed straight for the hotel room that he had booked. He had planned things well enough to know how much time he had to play with and had left the clothes he'd planned on changing into in the room. He got a quick shower before changing, making sure that his hair was dried decently enough before slipping into his jacket to head downstairs to meet Lysander in the restaurant for dinner.

He got a couple funny looks on the way in (teenager not in crazy cloths?gasp) but ignored them. He had a date with his adorable ... okay if that was Rik standing there by the restaurant door make that hot, boyfriend. Usually his birthday involved a giant party with everyone he knew, friend or not, but this one would be good, probably better.

They had tossed the idea of having a big party around back and forth, but in the end somehow they'd wound up making the adult (haha) decision; a nice, quiet night to celebrate just between the two of them.

He ran his fingers slowly back through his hair, trying not to blush as his mind drifted, hoping that he wasn't too early... And at least partially that Lysander wouldn't be able to magically tell he'd been kissing someone else.

"You know. I'm so glad this is my birthday because otherwise i'd have to wonder who's bright idea it was to wrap up something so nice and give it to me." He grinned as he walked up and let his eyes wander over Rik. Okay sure the Negaverser had been cute but Rik was Rik. There was just no replacing that.

"You know... I'm glad this is your birthday because otherwise -I- would have to wonder what I was doing standing around here waiting for someone that uses such -cheesy- lines." He smirked as he hooked his thumbs into his pockets, eyes dancing as he held still for inspection.

"Yea bvut you love them anyway." He grinned brightly. "or maybe me and put up with the bad lines occasionall for it. Either way it works."

"Let me think on it and I'll get back to you with a response?" He laughed softly. "Or maybe I'll just treat you to dinner."

"Dinner sounds amazing.I've been looking forward to it all day"

"Mm... Do you know what I've been looking forward to?" His brow lofted slightly as he stepped forward, taking Lysander's hand in his own for a moment.

"Hm?" He smiled as he laced his fingers with the other's.

"This." He murmured as he used his hold on the other's hand to draw him closer, leaning in to catch him in a kiss.

He smiled against the others lips as he returned the kiss. Yep, there wasn't anything like kissing Rik.

He held on to the kiss for a moment before drawing back slowly, taking a brief moment to let the contentment of just being around Lysander settle in before giving him a nudge. "C'mon. I'm starving."

"best birthday ever." He grinned and followed after Rik. Despite the whole 'teenager' thing they were shown to their table quickly and given the menu and recomendations on waht was best taht night

"Just means you're going to have to make sure mine is the best tomorrow." He smirked teasingly in return, shrugging out of his coat before taking his seat across from Lysander.

"We can just blend the two of them together, Makes ure good things are happening before and after midnight."

"I can't think of anyone I'd rather be spending the time with... Even if my inner child is feeling a bit left out of the costumed festivities." He grinned.

"We so could still get costumes. Roleplay sex, it'd be amazing." He grinned brightly, mischief in his eyes. "Kinky but amazing"

"Mm, I don't know about that... I made some rather important plans with a pretty important someone tonight. I think the only person I want to be having sex with is him."

"So save the kinky stuff for another time?" He nudged the other's foot with his under the eable before looking over the menu.

"I thought we used up all of our extra kink the first time." He smirked. "Or maybe we'll just have to wait until midnight when we're both technically legal."

"The first time was kinky?" He raised a brow slightly at that. "And we so shouldn't be talking about sex at the dinner table."

"... You don't consider sex in a bathroom stall kinky?" He murmured softly, face flushed.

"Okay .. maybe a little kinky." He was sure it happened all the time so it couldn't be -that- kinky. "Not on the same level as say .. dressing up as spider man and batman while doing it"

Rik looked absolutely horrified by that comparison, his nerd showing in the way his face scrunched. "How... No. You can't just... Mix DC and Marvel like that. Ugh, Lys..."

"Nerd. Would Batman and Superman have been better? Cause our age difference isn't enough to do Batman and Robin properly"

"Superman is a d**k." He snorted at that, picking up his menu as though to say that was all he was going to say on the subject.

"Faster than a speeding bullet." He grinned as he pondered what he wanted to eat

"Doesn't change that he's a d**k... And Batman could kick his a**."

"Bruce Wayne and Harvey Dent then. They were friends at least ... untiL bruce boiled half his face off."

"Yeah, I don't think I could sleep with a guy who was missing half of his face."

"Pre Too-face dent." He smirked. "What are you thinking about getting?"

"Mm... Pondering something from a cow or seafood." He nodded as he glanced up. "You?'

"I was thinking seafood." A couple of the dishes looked good

"Shrimp, salmon or scallops?" His brow quirked as he watched the other youbng man for a moment.

"Shrimp and scallops. There was a dish somewhere on here that had both."

"Go ahead and order whatever you want." He grinned. "It's on me. Actually on me this time. No borrowed cards involved."

He smiled at that and reached over to brush his fingers against Rik's hand before the waiter came by to get their orders.

"The room, on the other hand." He coughed lightly. "If I'd stuck around the pool hall long enough to cover that I would've gotten kicked out."

"dinner's slightly more special with it being on you than the room." He grinned. "I'm perfectly okay with using your daddy's money to pay for our fun."

"Not everyone would be okay with how I got the money, though."

"As long as it doens't involve drugs or whoring in any way i'm okay with it."

"Just pool hustling." He chuckled softly before pausing their conversation long enough to place his order.

Pool hustling was okay so long as Rik didn't piss anyone off who was going to try to hurt him. So far it hadn't happened so he saw no reason to make a bit deal otu of it. It was nice though that diner was being paid for with money Rik had made instead of off his parents credit cards

"Just think... Three more years and we can have wine with dinner." He flashed the other a light smirk, letting their fingers twine once more.

“We’ll just have to go somewhere really special with really good wine.” He grinned. “Maybe somewhere not even in the country” That would be fun, getting to go n an actual vacation with Rik without anyone else around.

"We could always book one of those cruises that my parents go on but always seem to leave me out of." He smirked lightly.

“That we could.” He hadn’t been on a cruise in a long time since usually he didn’t want to spend a week trapped on a boat with his family. “As long as we could find one that wasn’t crawling with family tourists.”

"That leaves Disney out, then... But this time of year a lot of families have their brats in school so it might not be -too- bad." He paused, glancing up at the waiter with a brief smile before accepting his drink with a soft thanks.

“Disney’s doing their Halloween thing so i bet the ships are packed too.” He took a sip of his drink before setting the glass back down. “We’d have to go somewhere not expected for this tiem fo year."

"We have time to figure that out." He nodded, trying not to let it slip into his voice how long he thought three years was; how dangerous the passing of time could be given his 'secret life'. Now wasn't the time for that.

“It’ll go by faster than you think, watch.” His own life was already going by faster than he really wanted it to. Keeping up with two lives probably had something to do with it.

That was what he was afraid of, but he didn't voice that out loud, instead reaching for his glass to lift it to his lips. "I think," he murmured after taking a sip, "we should just focus on tonight for now."

“You, me, dinner and all the fun things we can do to a bed neither of us has to clean?” He grinned. “Since we do have all night and have to make sure two birthdays are perfect”

"Mine hasn't even started yet and I can assure you I know it's going to be perfect." He nodded, grinning at that. "Only unlucky is that both of our birthdays fall on weekdays so I am going to have to come up with an excuse for not showing back up at Hellworth."

“They don’t take ‘I’m sorry but it was born today eighteeen years ago and wanted to enjoy myself’ as a proper excuse?” He grinned. “Cause if not ...could always have enough fun we wear outselves otu and call it exhaustion. Isn’t that was all the famous people do these days?”

"I dont think they would, but I have gotten good enough at forging my father's signature to be able to make something up." He smirked.

“Such a bad boy.” He laughed and looked up at the waiter so they could order their dinner. Hillworth was so not good for Rik and he hoped that he could get out of there sooner than later.

"Just this last year to make it through and I'm out. Haven't really put much thought into where I want to head next, if I'm going to." Hell, if he was alive by then.

“Not even a year. Just until summer right?” He was looking forward to graduating himself too. It would be nice to get out of the public school system and go somewhere that he could really put time into his studies. Maybe the war would even by over by then and he cuold go back to just being a normal person.

"Just until summer." He nodded in confirmation after placing his order, finding himself almost eager to just get his side salad... Energy draining could sure make a man hungry, nevermind what kissing a stranger could make him crave.

“So, didn’t have too much fun eariler today without me did ya? I’d have tried to meet you eariler but my parents wanted to actually do something with me since i’m an ‘adult’ now.”

"Fun?" His brow lofted slightly before he made a face and shook his head. "Nah, I wouldn't have called it that. Did some planning, though. A bit of shopping too."

"Supposed to have fun today though" He nudged the other's foot with his. "That's the whole point of today."

"That was the whole point of -your- day. The point of mine was to make sure that I put all of the right pieces into place to guarantee you and I having a fun night." He smirked softly. "Besides, that whole costume thing? Totally overrated if you're by yourself, don't you think?"

"It's Halloween. No matter waht people are supposed to have fun today." He shook his head slightly. "And costumes can be fun by yourself so long a syou know how to enjoy yourself in them"

"Speaking from experience?" His brow lofted slightly as he took a sip of his soda. "Never said I didn't have fun getting everything ready for your birthday either. You haven't gotten to see the room yet." He grinned.

"I'm pretty sure there's pictures of me as a little kid dressed up running around the house. SO I'm sure it was experience at one point" At the second half his brow rasied. "decorate it for me?"

"No need to decorate something that looks that good already... But there might be one or two things up there waiting for you." He nodded, knowing that he'd set the gifts he'd picked out for the other on the table that could be seen just as you entered the room and he'd asked that a cake be sent up later.

"You spoil me you know, it's almost unfair." For all that Rik had said he wasn't good with people or anything he was good at this whole dating thing. "i'm sure somewhere out there someone thinks it's unfair that you give me all your attention"

“I was hoping there would be surprises. I just have no patience to wait for them.” He smiled brightly. Dinner was good though. The food was cooked perfectly and everything was nice.

"Well, I will go ahead and let you know now tht none of your surprises involve girls or women. That said, if you want to hit up a strip club this weekend, I'm game.' He smirked.

“You know. I so should have thought about that before. A strip club could be amazingly amusing just for kitch value.” He laughed. “Not that any of them have anything i really want to see.”

"Not on a school night. Bad enough I am playing hooky with you tomorrow." He grinned as he finished off the rest of his drink.

“Not bad. Perfectly good thing.” He nodded. “It wouldn’t be fun to be stuck at hillworth on your birthday and i wont stand for it. So it’s not hookey.” It was just spending time with ones boyfriend.

"It isn't fun. That's where I was last yearn on my birthday." He shook his head slowly. "I am glad I get to spend it with you this year."

“I’m glad you do too.” He reached over and brushed his fingers against the back of Rik’s hand. “For your sake and mine.”

“Y’know...” He murmured softly after watching Lysander for a moment, glancing down at their fingers, his face warm in the candlelight of their table. “Sometimes? I don’t think I deserve having someone like you.”

“I’m pretty damn sure i don’t deserve you either but i’m going to take full advantage of it while the universe isn’t paying attention.” He smiled. “I like being with you, more than i have anyone else.”

“I’ll take that as a good thing.” He laughed, smiling as he gave Lysander’s hand a light squeeze. “We should pay for dinner and head upstairs.”

“It is.” He smiled and waved the waiter down so they could pay for dinner. Upstairs would be more fun and they could actually enjoy their birthdays without other people watching.

“So what all did you wind up doing with your parents today?” His brow quirked once they were out of the restaurant, holding the door for Lysander so they could head back through to the lobby of the hotel and on towards the elevator.

“Lunch mostly. Mom making a big deal out of me not being her ‘baby boy’ anymore. Nothing spectacular.” All of which he’d ditched early saying he was meeting Rikard so eh could go have some fun powered up before meeting his boyfriend.

“At least your parents care.” He laughed. “God, I’d be lucky if there was a card from mine waiting for me back at Hellworth. Actually, I might get a text message with a photo of the two of them waving from a beach somewhere. That’s how they generally celebrate my birthdays.”

When the elevator dinged he tugged Rik inside and slid his arms around him. “Don’t worry about them. You’ve got me to spend your birthday with and i do care.”

“Wasn’t worried about them. Not really, at least.” He murmured as he leaned into Lysander’s arms, resting his head against the other for a moment before drawing back. His hand reached into his pocket to produce a key card, holding it out to the other with a flick of his wrist. “It’d only be right for you to get to open the door.”

“Oh, fun.” he grinned. “Does that mean i have surprises waiting for me? Which wont be as awesoem as you waiting for me but awesome none the less i’m sure” He brushed a kiss against the other man’s neck.

“It means that the room itself is at least part of your surprise since I didn’t really tell you anything other than I’d gotten us a room for the night.” He smirked. “Told you that I’ve already been in there. It’s your turn.”

He stepped out of the elevator so he could head to the room and get the door open. “You spoil me, i know i said it before but you do.” Not that he was complaining. He rather liked being the one spoiled for once.

"You enjoy it." He smirked as he slid an arm around the other man's middle, brushing his lips against Lysander's neck before nudging him into the room, reaching past him to flip the light on.

“I do.” He grinned as he leaned back against Rik slightly. “... you do know how to pick good places.” He could see why Rik had spent his parents money on the room There was no way even he’d have been able to afford it, even with his part time job.

"Nice, big bed. Television. Hot tub in the bathroom... and presents on the table." He grinned as he let go of his hold on the other.

He turned around so he could brush his lips against the other’s in a light kiss. “Still say the best present is you …. we should take the others to the bedroom though.” He could open them in there.

"Whatever you want, birthday boy." He grinned against Lysander's lips.

He grinned and caught Rik in a proper kiss before stepping away so he could gather up his presents and take them back toward the bed. He set them down at the foot before sitting down and motioning for Rik to join him.

He slid out of his jacket first, loosening his tie slightly before joining the other. There wAs one moderately sized gift box, a smaller one and then a gift bag. "Take your pick."

When Rik joined him he brushed a kiss against the other boy’s cheek before poking at the stuff for a bit before picking up the gift bag.

Inside the bag was a sweater he knew Lysander had eyed on their last shopping trip along with a matching hat, scarf and gloves set. Tucked at the very bottom was a little IOU card good for ice skating at the park once the rink opened for the year.

He ran his hands over the sweater for a moment before looking over at Rik. “You know im going to have to wear all of it when we go skating, as soon as i find pants that will go perfectly.” he tucked everythng back into the bag before picking up the larger gift box.

"I'd settle for seeing you in the jeans that make your a** look good." He smirked teasingly. "Thought you might apreciate the sweater more if you didnt have to buy it yourself.

Inside the larger of the two boxes was a slightly cheesy gift, meant to be more amusing than anything else. It was a body pillow folded in half and vaccum packed, growing to full size the moment the plastic was broken enough for it to breathe. On one side was a scantily clad anime girl with raven black hair making a sultry, seductive face. On the other side was a boy with white hair in much the same state. "Custom ordered."

He flipped the pillow back and fourth for a moment before looking over at Rik again. “You do realize, given my compliment of friends, this is oh so horrible right?” All he’d be able to think about was either RIk or Cordelia whenever he looked at it.

"Yeah, I know. Just dont ever let Cordelia see it with the girl side up." He smirked. "I thought you would enjoy it either way."

“Luckly, or unluckly, Cordelia doesn’t come in my room.” He laughed before setting the pillow aside so he could get the smaller box. “Is this going to be jewelry?” He rasied a brow as he carefully opened it.

He merely shrugged his shoulders at that, not saying anything as Lysander opened the box. It was, indeed, jewelry; a necklace he had caught the other eying on their Disney trip that he had swung back around to grab, sitting on it since then.

"...you've had. This tucked away since Disney?" He looked up at the other man as he picked up the necklace and ran his fingers over it.

"Yeah." He nodded, feeling his face heat slightly as he glanced away, running fingers back through his hair. "Didnt know if I should've given it to you today or waited on Christmas... Figured I might as well now so you had it before you decided to break up with me or something." He smirked teasingly as he glanced quickly in Ly's direction.

"Rik ..." he leaned over and brushed his lips against the other boys as his fingers rested againsy Riks cheek. "You've got to stop saying things like that. I'm not going to just break up with you. You'd have to break up with me first."

"I was kidding this time. Doesnt that count for something?" He murmured softly against Lysander's lips.

“Not enough, you still think it.” He reached up and slid his fingers into Rik’s hair so he could pull him into a proper kiss. He’d seen all the hurt and pain in Rik’s eyes before and wasn’t going to be someone who caused more of it.

He felt a momentary pang of guild as his lips touched Lysander's, wondering briefly if the other would still think the same way, or feel the same way, if he knew what he had been doing earlier. He let it slide, though, focusing on returning the kiss instead.

He had no room to complain about anything Rik was thinking about. He knew no matter who else he kissed when he was being Sailor Arachne wouldn't get between him and Rik. That was a different life, one he had to seperate or he'd go insane.

He drew back from the kiss as he heard a knock on the door, taking a moment to steady his breath and the sound of his heart pounding in his ears. "That would be your cake..."

"Mm you're just full of surprises tonight." He laughed softly as he got up. "I'll go get the cake and you can put my necklace on me while I do and annoy the deleviary people."

"I can get the cake." He nodded, brushing past the other to do so, fingers running lightly along the other man's side as he did so. 'No harassing people tonight. Just get comfortable."

"I like harassing people though." He laughed as he got up so he could take off everything except his boxers and tshirt.

He took the cart from the bellhop, thanking him before wheeling it back intp the room, whistling Happy Birthday along the way. There were eighteen candles glowing softly on the cake along with a bottle of sparkling cider and two wine glasses.

"You are something else." He laughed as he got up so he could slide his arms around the other. "So ... I get to make a wish and blow out the candles. Wonder what I would wish for." He brushed a kiss against Riks cheek.

"Singing would have been too much. Cake is just enough." He nodded, grinning. "I am sure when my parents see the bill they will consider this their present to me. Wish away."

He laughed softly before leaning ovedr and blowing out the candles. "Mm...wish made. Now we have to get the candles off so we cam eat it."

“I really hope taking the candles off the cake wasn’t your wish.” He grinned as he reached over to begin slowly pulling the candles off of the cake, trying not to ruin the icing.

“Nope. Can’t tell you what the wish was or it willr uin it. You know that.” He helped with the candles, licking the icing off them when he could

"Did you want a piece now, or?" His brow lofted slightly as he glanced at Lysander.

"I should. Otherwise i'm going to get all wrapped up in you and i wont eat any of it until tomorrow when it will be more your cake than mine"

"You might randomly decide you want cake after sex or something." He smirked.

"Don't tempt me to get the icing on you an lick it off." He grinned as he picked up one of the small plates. "We can slice a piece off and share it?"

"If that's what you want to do with your birthday cake." He smirked softly as he held the knife out to the other, planning on popping the cork off of the cider.

"It is." He smiled and sliced a piece off that was big enough for them to share. With that done he went to go sit on the bed againand wait for Rik

He filled the two glasses half way before bringing them over along with a fork, setting the glasses down before holding the fork out to Lysander.

He took the fork and stuck it in the cake so he could have the first bite. "Mm ... Even my favorite kind of icing."

"I pay attention to details every now and then." He nodded slowly with a soft smikr.

"You know your'e going to make this all hard to live up to." He laughed softly. "I'm not sure my plans for tomorrow compair"

"Can't help it. I'm just that good." He said with a trace of mock smuggness.

He shook his head before holding out a bite of the cake for the other manv

He leaned in, parting his lips around the fork to slide the cake off of it and into hsi mouth. "Mm."

"See, it's delicious." He smiled as he took the fork back

It's damn good cake." He nodded in confirmation after swallowing.

He set the cake carefully in his lap before picking up the two glasses and holding one uot to Rik. Once the other boy had it he held his up. "Happy birthday to us."

"Happy birthday to us." He nodded with a grin as he reached out to touch his glass lightly to the other's.

They sipped their cider and ate the slice of cake mostly in silence, just enjoying each others company and the fact that there wasn't anyone there to tell them how they should be having fun. It was perfect in a way and the only reason he even got up was so the cake could get in the small fridge so it didn't spoil. Returning to the bed he crawled up onto it, leanign over Rik slightly, and brushed a kiss against his lips. "So ... any other surprises for me?"

"Mm, no. Hadn't planned anything else." He murmured softly, leaning back on his hands for a moment.

"So the rest of the night is just whatever we decide to do." He smirked, lips just brushing against the other man's

"Something like that." He chuckled softly as he shifted to bring one hand up, fingers brushing lightly along Lysander's jaw.

"Good." He smiled before catching Rik in a proper kiss. His hands settled on the bed just outside the other man's thighs as he leaned over him

He just barely managed to keep himself from groaning against the other man's lips, eyes closing as he returned the kiss.

He held onto the kiss as it was for a moment before nipping lightly at the others lips. Tonight was going to be amazing
