Addison was standing outside the large glass doors of Destiny Dresses, cigarette burning between her fingers on her right hand; her left hand on her hip. She was wearing nothing more than a plain black t-shirt, torn skinny jeans, and a pair of neon green Converse High Tops; her blonde and teal hair was down and rather messy looking. Dress shopping was most definitely not her thing- no matter if her parents were paying her to go. The extent of her dress-wearing was her St. Magdalena's Seminary uniform skirt, and she most definitely was never pleased to wear that on a daily basis, tights or no tights.
She took one last drag from her cigarette, dropped the butt to the ground and ground it into the pavement with the tip of her shoe to put it out. Taking a deep breath, Addi pushed through the doors and entered the store, being immediately overwhelmed with the amount of people and dresses in the building. Son of a b***h... she muttered under her breath as she took a few steps forward. She had hoped that this would be a quick and easy endeavour- apparently she was incredibly wrong.
She took a few steps forward and began to finger through a rack of dresses. She felt absolutely ridiculous just being here as she looked around the store at the other girls. It wasn't often that Addison Reed felt out of place, or cared about being out of place for that matter. But in this store? She was complete and utterly out of her element.

He probably would have gotten flack for it if any of his friends from school knew he was wandering around a dress shop poking through the racks. He didn't care though. Some times he cursed being a guy because the girls got all the best clothes, really they did. The stuff in fashion this year was amazing too. The classical looks had come back and it looked like plenty of the designers were putting out things that were modern twists on classics. The only thing ruining this was that he didn't have a date yet. Which obviously had to be because he was just so good of a catch that the universe was waiting for just the right time to present his prom date to him.
So long as it didn't end up being some overly snooty girl from Crystal he'd be fine. Some of those girls just weren't worth the money they're parents spent on them. He had thought about asking one of the guys on the golf team if he wanted to go but somehow he figured that wouldn't go over well with the other guy's dad.
So here he was wandering around a dress shop, with out a date, poking through a rack and hoping that none of the store staff came to ask him stupid questions. He really didn't feel like trying to explain to someone how he was prefectly able to look at dresses without wanting to try one on himself and no he wasn't hiding thanks very much.

An eyebrow raised as Addison laid her eyes upon a guy looking through a rack of dresses a few rows away. She took a quick glance around the general vicinity of him to see if there was a girl nearby who he'd be shopping for. "Huh" she said out-loud as she realized he must in-fact be here by himself. Now that was a sight, she thought to herself.
She shrugged her shoulders and meandered on over to the stranger. "Do you always go dress shopping by yourself?" she said to him as she began to look through the rack of dresses that he was looking through, to see what on earth he found so interesting.
Addison shot a side-ways look at him and smiled. "That one matches your eyes." Her smile turned into a grin as she laughed quietly to herself and went back to looking through the rack of dresses.

Fifteen minuets. That had to be a new record of some sort for being in the girl section of anywhere and not getting bothered by staff or another shopper. Maybe he'd have to start keeping track and see how long he could go without being bothered or see how fast some places jumped on something strange like that. It was an idea he'd have to keep a hold of.
"It would match my eyes. Too bad i'm not looking for something for myself." He grinned as he looked over at the girl. Most of the girls he'd seen in here so far were the usual rich pampered princesses. This one totally wasn't that. Not in those clothes. "... let me guess. The Seminary school?"
She -had- to be from there. He hadn't met anyone from there either. Which had to be a crying shame since any girl who'd end up in there (well except maybe the violent ones) would be right up his alley.

Addison looked down at herself then back up at him. "Uh... My outfit is perfectly respectable and high-class, thank you very much! I could be one of those bitchy Crystal girls, for all you know!" She tried her best to keep a straight face as she yelled at the boy.
"Yeah, no. I'm totally kidding." she laughed and shook her head. "I do go to St. Mag's. Name's Addison, by the way. And you are, Mr. I-can-tell-what-school-you-go-to-just-by-looking-at-you? Unfortunately for me, I don't have the same mad skills."
She slid a few dresses along the rack and then picked one up by it's hanger. She held it up in her right hand and turned to face him. The dress was poofy and a weird mix of yellow, brown and green, and kind of looked like vomit. She pointed at it with her left hand, looked at it, then looked back at him. "What do you think of this one?" She held it up against herself and did a quick 360 degree spin on her tip-toes to display it.

"Lysander." He grinned. "Resident fashion guru. No Crystal girl would be caught dead in an outfit like that. Unless she was just trying to really piss off her parents but they usually can't keep themselves from giggling when they do that." Which was pathetic. At least some of them were really cute and could grow out of the whole "Princess" thing. Sadly most of the ones he'd met were the snooty sort.
He eyed the dress she'd pulled off the hanger and just managed not to grimace. "I think the designer was high if they thought that was a good color combination for anything formal. Though if you wanted to be internet famous by having your prom pictures plastered everywhere for people to laugh at go for it. I think you'd look better in something black with a splash of color"

She held the dress up in front of herself and made a face at it, her tongue sticking out. "Yeah it's pretty gross." She laughed and put the dress back on the rack. "Black and a splash of color, eh? Alright, sounds good to me- internet fame was never my thing anyway."
She smiled as she continued to flip through the rack of dresses, stealing side-ways glances at Lysander. "So I gotta ask... Since you're not looking for a dress for yourself, are you looking for one for your Girlfriend? Or Prom date? Oh and by the way, Crystal girls would kill to have my impeccable fashion sense."
Addison picked a long black dress that faded into a bright teal color off of the rack, a very intense and pensive look on her face as she stared at it to decide if she should try it on.

"Just looking. I have a .... thing for clothes." He grinned. "Now -that- dress would look amazing on you. And the teal matches your hair." Which would mean she wouldn't have to try to hide the color for prom picture, though she didn't seem like the type of girl who'd hide that anyway.
"I don't go to school with girls and none of the guys are worth taking so i don't have a date yet." And Yet was the major word there. He -would- have a date somehow. The way no way he'd miss prom and he wasn't going to let his wonderful self go to waste and not take someone with him.
"Anyway, you should try that on."

"Oh, you go to Hillworth?" she asked as she held the dress up against herself and nodded with approval. She grabbed him by the hand and hauled him and the dress over to the fitting room area. "Wait here," she demanded as she slipped into the room and changed into the dress.
"You do have a date!" she called to him as she changed. The changing room door opened and she stepped out and did a slow-motion twirl. "You're going with me." She grinned at him and put her hands on her hips.
"What do you think?" She looked down at the dress on her and instantly approved- it was simple and matched her hair, she couldn't ask for anything more from something she was pretty much forced to wear.

He sneered slightly that he'd go to Hillworth. Not only was he so not that bad but he would never be caught in green plaid pants. Not on pain of death. "Azure Valley. Someone could have to kill me first to get me in plaid pants." The last bit of his sentence was a bit jumbled as she tugged him over to the dressing rooms.
"If you're going looking that good who am i to say no?" He grinned as he walked around her. "It fits nicely too. You might want to pick up some tall heels though so it doesn't drag on the ground or you dont step on it." The only thing more tragic than stepping on your dress at Prom would be at graduation, neither of which anyone could ever live down.
Once he'd made it back in front of her he nodded. "And ... it's not too poofy or anything so it's not like you couldn't wear the dress somewhere else if you had a reason to"

Addison laughed at his comment about green plaid pants. "Azure Valley? That preppy school?" She sneered quietly as she looked him up and down. "And yet you're dissing the prissy Crystal girls?" She grinned a little.
She nodded at the mention of picking up some heels- she was definitely on the vertically challenged side, so she'd absolutely need to buy some high shoes. There's not much that would really embarrass her, so it was more about not wanting to ruin the bottom of the dress than falling on her face via tripping.
"You're damn right you can't say no!" She made a face at the idea of a poofy dress, her nose and forehead crinkling.
She shoved him off in the direction of men's clothing. "Now, prom date, you need to go find something to wear to match!" She laughed and disappeared back into the change-room behind her to slip out of the dress and back into her own clothes.
Thank goodness this shopping trip was successful on two fronts.
Dress? Check. Date? Check.
Score.
