Arachne had let Thisbe off for a few days after she outed him to Cordelia. He wanted her to have time to actually think about what she did and why it was such a big deal. He knew she'd stew over it, at least knowing she was getting a lecture, and that would be good for her in a way. She might actually get it He thought to himself as he finished off a text to her telling her where to meet him. He was sitting atop one of his favorite roofs. Perfect place to look out over the city but none of the other buildings had a sight line to where he was. It made for a good meeting place and somewhere to just stop and rest if he needed it. So it would make a good place for Thisbe to get her talking to as well. He never thought he'd be the one having this kind of talk with someone. Since when was he responsible? But he felt responsible for her. As if he should have somehow done better by her. Which made no sense.

Dinner the night she had done one of the stupidest things in her life had gone well enough that she hadn't thought Lysander was still cross with her until he'd essentially ceased communication for days. She knew he was trying to teach her a lesson, but that didn't make the wait any less horrible and she was sorely tempted to simply ignore his summons when the request for a meeting finally came. She didn't, of course. Sure, she could continue being a brat. She could drag her heels and fuss... Or she could just admit that she'd been wrong, again, even if she had made an honest enough mistake in thinking that the two people she figured were the most likely to know each other on the senshi side of things actually would. Super Sailor Arachne had said where to meet, but not exactly when. She assumed not long after she received the summons, considering the time of night, and once she made it far enough away from her flat she powered up to head across town to join the Senshi of Spiders on his rooftop.

He was poking around on his phone when he felt a powered signature coming his direction. It felt familiar enough so he figured it was Thisbe. As she got closer he sent his phone back into subspace and shifted so he was at least sitting up on his perch. She was probably going to be grumpy he wasn't just dropping the issue but she also deserved it. Some mistakes could be forgiven. Ones that could cost someone their life if said in the wrong place? Not so much.

She scaled the fire escape easily enough, pulling herself up onto the roof before making her way over to where Arachne was waiting. She hadn't really felt anxious about meeting him, somehow thinking that everything would just go back to normal by the time he decided to reach out to her again. It didn't seem that way now, though, and the sound of her heels clicking against the rooftop as she walked seemed all too loud in her ears. "Anything interesting going on tonight?" She broke the silence first, hovering just off to the side from where he was seated, not quite approaching him.

"Not so far. It's been quiet on the chaos front tonight so nothing to get distracted by." He grinned slightly before motioning for her to come over and sit down with him. There was plenty of room on the low wall he was seated on for her to make herself comfortable. "I wanted to give you time to think before I talked to you about your rather amazing mistake." He tucked a chunk of hair behind his ear as he watched her. "Which I know you know was a mistake but we still need to talk about it."

Thisbe resisted the urge to roll her eyes, knowing well enough that doing so would go over like a lead balloon. Instead she sucked in a deep breath, releasing it slowly as she settled down onto the wall next to him. "I know that I shouldn't have said it, and I know that knowing that doesn't change that I did. I just... Christ, I really thought the two of you would have told each other by now. I thought that was why you'd asked her to join us on our run."

"I asked her to join us because I am friends with her and she's one of the few people I know here anymore and my social butterfly self likes having friends." Cordelia had always been a pretty good one too. Sure he flirted with her and she always brushed him off and she tsked at him for flirting with everyone but she still let him live his life. "I figured she'd have to go to work that evening so would excuse herself and we could go patrolling." That plan had been thrown out the window though and while he'd enjoyed the night off he probably still should have gone patrolling. "Up until I decked my ex you were the only one who knew, Thisbe. I didn't tell anyone. You know the sort of s**t I get up to when powered up. There was no way I wanted the chance of that bleeding over into my regular life. I didn't want people knowing who I was and I didn't want to know who they were. Hell I still prefer it that way." It just seemed easier to not let people into his life like that. "No one needed to know unless I knew I could trust them..."

"Are you saying that you don't trust her?" Her brow lofted as she looked to him for a moment before turning to gaze out over the city. She didn't want to see whatever sort of disapproving expression he might have on his face. It was bad enough hearing it in his voice... "I trust her with my life, which is why she's the only person other than you who knows who I am outside of all of this. I don't know why, but I do. I know that we all keep our secrets for a reason, and... <********>, Arachne, there's a reason why I don't think you should get into, or onto, half of the s**t you do when you're powered up either. If--- If something happens to you then maybe I'm not the only one who should know." Her lips pursed together for a moment before she finally turned to face him again. "I didn't mean to betray your trust, or hers, alright?"

"I don't know Corvus enough to trust her. We only ran into each other a few times and that was a long time ago." Cordelia, yea he trusted her but he wasn't going to go around telling all his friends who he was. If they weren't also senshi, or knights, that would just cause problems. That was asking to be one bad date away from getting outed to the cops or something worse. "I also know you didn't mean to but you did. I understand why you did it an why you thought you could but that's really not something you can do. Even if you think someone knows." If Cordelia had been anyone else it could have ended up badly. If someone had walked by at the wrong time. If they hadn't noticed someone was watching them. There were so many ways that could have gone wrong. "I stay away from the Generals. I know better than to get in over my head. A confused corrupted sailor senshi isn't going to get the drop on me and he's the only bad decision I've made recently." He wasn't entirely sure Alma was a bad decision anyway though.

"But what if one day one of them calls a General? What if you do wind up in over your head?" Her brow furrowed as she reached over, lightly resting her gloved hand over his. She only let it rest there for a moment before she drew back, looking out over the city once more. "You should get to know her better. She can be a bit of a b***h sometimes-- more often than sometimes, really, but I think it's because of everything she's seen. She's good to have around when things go to s**t." Nevermind that for whatever reason things usually seemed to go to s**t when the Senshi of Vengance was around. Probably had something to do with the title... "I won't do it again, alright? Promise."

"Then I know how to run and I have a cellphone that can send out a distress signal." He really wasn't that worried about getting into that much trouble. He didn't tangle with the Negaverse often enough to be considered a threat, at least he didn't think so. He was usually too busy dealing with their pets and they seemed to have an endless supply of those. "I'll think about it. I'm sure she'll have words for me next time we run into each other." He sighed softly as he looked over at Thisbe again. "You can't do it again. Our identities are something we have to keep safe. For us, our families, anyone we know. Plus you can't let Corvus go thinking I'm a bad teacher."

"I know that. s**t, do you think I want any of this crap looped back to my family? There's a reason why I keep telling you know who to finish up her school where she's at instead of transferring her credits here. I don't want her involved. I don't want her to get hurt. Just because you think I'm an idiot right now doesn't mean I actually am." She snorted, eyes narrowing as she fixed her eyes on him, seconds away from crossing her arms over her chest. "You might be older than I am, and you might be one upgrade ahead of me, but that doesn't mean I don't at least know the basics by now, Arachne. I'm not that far behind you and... Wait... Teacher?" Her nose wrinkled, lips pressing together as she tried to figure out how she was supposed to respond to that. "You're not responsible for me, you know. And neither is Birdie, for that matter-- and I mean that in the best of ways. She can't hold you responsible for anything I do anymore than she can take responsibility for it herself."

"I feel like i'm responsible for you. For some stupid reason." He huffed slightly as he leaned back on his hands. He shouldn't have felt responsible for her because she was an adult and he didn't need to be but he did. Someone had to be responsible for her otherwise he knew Thisbe would get herself into trouble. She was reckless and needed someone else to keep her on an even keel. Even if she was getting better at holding her own.

"You don't have to take responsibility for every dumb thing that I do, Arachne... But if it makes you feel better and you really want to go for those brownie points you can tell Birdie that I've been properly chastised. It's not going to make her go any easier on me the next time she calls for a training session, but if it makes you feel better." Somehow she'd get it through her head that she wasn't alone in this anymore. She had to if she was going to keep working with Corvus and Arachne because the whole 'lone wolf' thing was going to get her killed and people in trouble. She couldn't afford to be so careless when it came to the people who trusted her. With a soft huff she pushed herself up to her feet. "Are we just going to sit around here all night, Spidey, or are we going to find some a** to kick?"

"Nothing's going to make her go easy on you for a while." He smirked as he pulled himself up and stretched. "She's going to make sure to take out all her frustration on you until she feels better. Vengeance and all." With the chastising done, even if he vaguely felt like he should be doing more, actually getting proper work done for the evening might be a good idea. "I'm sure we can find something if we look hard enough."
