Yoga was usually her 'go to' when it came to staying in shape-- Outside of dance, of course. She'd let her dance routines slide, however, whereas the bend and flex of her yoga routine was something that she had worked into her daily schedule to the point where it wasn't really a hobby or something to take up time, it was just something she did. It made cardio like running through the park a few hours before sunset seem all the more exhausting, however Abby paused after rounding the corner of the path, resting her hands on her knees while puffing for breath. She'd forced out a burst of speed to shoot out ahead of Lysander after he'd made a comment about how flushed her face was. Proving a point really wasn't necissary, and she certainly hadn't done much to prove him wrong by winding herself. "********..." She stepped off of the path and onto the grass before collapsing into a heap on the ground. Sprawling out in the grass she could at least spend a minute or two just staring at the sky pretending she didn't hate everything.

When Abby took off ahead of him it too all his willpower not to stop and laugh right then and there. He'd done it just to see if she would take the bait and was glad when, as he thought, she did. It was nice to see some some things didn't change. "Proud of yourself?" He grinned as he caught up with her and sat down on the grass beside her. He wasn't nearly as winded as she was but that was only because he hadn't decided to do something silly. If they'd kept going he'd have probably gotten himself there. Running wasn't his usual form of exercise but it had seemed like an easy to get in some when Abby suggested it.

"Yes." She managed to push the words out of her mouth before sucking in a deep breath. One... Two... Three... She counted slowly to herself as she exhaled, calming her heart rate back down as she caught her breath. It was another minute or two before she pushed herself up on her hands enough to comfortably sit beside him, bending one arm to bump her elbow against his. "That was a good run. We are going to have to work things like this into our schedules. I think I'd like to make it the whole way around the park without falling over next time."

"Next time don't go running off like a zombie is chasing you just because I said I was beating you." He grinned, nudging her back. "I don't normally go running, little too high impact and I like my knees, but we could do something." There were plenty of options. "You could come to a spin class with me? See how well you fair with that." Spin and kickboxing had become his two favorite exercises though he sometimes did random other things just for fun. "I go Thursdays and Saturdays if you want to join me?" He tucked a piece of hair that had come loose back up into his bun just to get it off his neck. "And ... there's a/c rather than all this gross heat."

"I think running is probably the least of my worries when it comes to things I've done that are likely to impact my knees. Jumping off of buildings? Fighting monsters?" She cast him a look before finally pushing herself up off of the ground, dusting some of the grass and debris off of her leggings before holding her hand out to him to help him up. "Might be able to do Thursdays. I'm still trying to get back into a Saturday dance class, just to bring a little bit of normalcy back into life. What time on Thursdays? Also, I'm dying of thirst. And starving. Food?" Her brow quirked as she waited for a response.

"Food sounds amazing. The market should have some food trucks set up so we can get something there? Means we don't have to go too far either." He let Abby help him up before dusting off the back of his pants. Grass stains were not something he wanted to have to deal with thanks very much. "Also, because of that you shouldn't be doing anything to make the problem worse. At least jumping off buildings comes with super powers which should mean it doesn't hurt as bad." They did heal faster like that so he was pretty sure that they couldn't hurt their joints as much. "As for Thursdays that one is in the evening. Six thirty if you can manage it. Saturday one is earlier so you can get the pain and suffering out of the way before enjoying the rest of the weekend."

"All depends on the height of the jump and what's chasing me." She flashed him a smirk as she looped her arm around his, dragging him back towards the trail. They had almost made it to the part of the park that most locals had coined the 'Marketplace'. Vendors often set up shop there, different ones on varying days of the week, and by evening there was always an assortment of food trucks seeking to appeal to the students of DCU. "Looks like our options tonight include Mexican, Italian, Barbecue.... Whatever that truck over there is-- Fried things on sticks? And ice cream. Tempting, but not exactly dinner." She left off the vegan truck on purpose-- not because she was against the practice, or disliked the food in general, but because she'd tried something from that truck once and it wasn't worth a repeat mistake.

"Barbecue and then ice cream." The ice cream was delicious and he always liked getting some when their truck popped up somewhere. After the run the heartier options from the barbecue sounded a lot tastier than anything else. Burgers might have been better but he'd take some pulled pork instead any day. The lines were starting to fill up as they made their way there, classes getting out and people out shopping looking for a quick bite, but thankfully nothing was too packed yet. Plenty of people who looked like they'd been out for a workout were in the lines as well.

She went for a pulled pork sandwich with onion rings on top along with the fried zucchini as her side, somehow convincing herself that was better for her than french fries would have been (no matter how tempting the sweet potato fries looked. In truth she wanted to take a little bit of everything home just as an excuse to make sure she had good food in the apartment. Groceries. It's called grocery shopping, Ab. Once their food was paid for and they were handed their boats filled with sandwiches and sides she lead the way off to the side where the sauce options were. She reached for her favorite, adding a bit to a plastic cup after drawing a spiral of sauce onto the meat itself, waiting (im)patiently for Lysander to do the same while she picked up her bottle of water. "Let's find somewhere to sit?"

He snagged a couple containers of cinnamon butter for his sweet potato fries before Abby finally got impatient and laughed quietly. "Good lord. You'd think no one ever fed you. Let a man get some barbecue sauce, sheese." He had put a bit of sweeter sauce on his sandwich before balancing everything carefully. "Think there's still a table open somewhere around here?" That would be easier than finding a bench and since it wasn't too far into the college kid crowd there might still be space. It took a bit of winding through the area before they found a small table they could set their things down on to enjoy. "This stuff smells delicious."

"It does smell delicious, which is why it should be enjoyed properly. While it's still warm." She snorted softly as she settled into a seat across from him. She took a brief assessment of everyone nearby as she arranged her food in front of her; boat directly centered in front of her, water up above and slightly to the right with the two sauce containers (one ranch and one barbeque) centered directly above the meal itself. She crunched on a zucchini fry with a look of sheer satisfaction before finally easing into a more comfortably slouched posture. "It's one of my favorite trucks that comes out here. They've got an actual restaurant with a bigger assortment of things on the other side of town. Pretty decent happy hour too when it comes to drinks, honestly. It's just not as fun to head there by yourself-- not really the bar I want to get picked up in. Not that the guys aren't good looking, they are, they're just not my type."

"No one is ever actually your type you know." He pointed a fry at her before dipping it into some of the cinnamon butter and popping it in his mouth. "You'll have to take me some time. Just so I know where it is next time I want good barbecue." Not something that happened often but often enough that having somewhere to get really good stuff from would be nice. He leaned back in his chair for a moment. "Speaking of food ... have you gone grocery shopping? Your friends was kinda bare last time I was over. Or are you just becoming a connoisseur of take out?" When he'd been in school he'd eaten out far too much, finding that easier when he was busying studying. He had a feeling that's how Abby was doing most of her eating as well.

"Maybe after a spin class?" Her lips quirked into a smirk that faltered only at his mention of groceries. She hadn't gone shopping yet. She had intended to, of course, but intention and actuality hadn't seemed to line up the way she imagined they would. It would be so much easier to keep things organized with a roommate... "Not yet. That's on the agenda for tomorrow though, first thing. The grocery store I like to hit up has a smoothie shop next door-- great motivation for both a healthy breakfast and stocking the place up for having friends over. The semester's almost over anyways. Once I make it through the last of these classes it'll be easier to get better habits going again." For the summer, at least. "Speaking of types, though... I really hope you've put some thought into reconsidering yours. It's a dangerous habit, Lys."

He'd leaned up to work on his sandwich and eyed her as she said she hadn't gone shopping. "You know you shouldn't put things like that off. You need to have food at home and not just stuff you go out and get." Sure he still didn't cook a lot but he still make sure he could make food at home. It was just usually simpler and healthier food than he'd eat when he was out. "Probably cheaper to have smoothies at home too if you bought the fruit and a blender. I lived off those for breakfast in school. So easy." Her last comment caught him off guard and he sighed. "I know. It's not like I go out of my way to find them attractive. And besides. I haven't... okay there's one corrupted senshi who's adorable and sweet and I have no idea why he's on the wrong side, but otherwise I haven't been making nice with them since I came back."

When he started mooning over the idea of a corrupted senshi she kicked his shin beneath the table. Her eyes narrowed as she cast a quick glance around before returning a glare at him. "I think we can discuss your poor taste in men without discussing their poor job choices. I just... I don't want anything to happen to you, alright? Other than Birdie and a few others I've run into like once you're what I've got here, Lys and it would suck if something happened to you." She pondered waving her fry at him but decided against it, chomping it down instead before picking up her sandwich. "I've got a blender at home, but time, effort... Bored. I'm telling you, it'll be a lot easier once this whole routine thing settles back in. I've just... Been out of sorts lately. We're not talking about me. We're talking about you."
