Rikard had places to be tonight; plans to uphold and general events that couldn't be canceled. At the same time, Lt. Richterite had promises to keep and quotas to fill. He wasn't as gung-ho about the tasks as some of the others, possibly because of his lower status and possibly because he hadn't been completely cracked, demented, twisted or -warped- before his corruption. He viewed it all, in its own, as a game; one to be won over slowly... A challenge.
The challenge found him tonight lingering outside one of the local establishments making promises of a Halloween party. Party while it's still the weekend! He was there, waiting for the right moment, powered up with a simple mask in hand, ready to pop it onto his face at any moment just for effect.
He loved Halloween. Not only did he get to show off how awesome his wardrobe was by picking something amazing to dress up as but it also meant it was his birthday. If someone had asked him last year what he'd be doing this year he'd have probably told them having a semi-graduation party. He wouldn't have ever guessed he'd be dressed up in the best costume -ever- hunting the streets for actual baddies from the 'other side.
He had to make it fast that night though. He was damn sure going to make sure that he got to spend this birthday with his ******** hot boyfriend. So he'd spotted a dark blip on his phone and headed toward one of the local Halloween parties. Figures the Negaverse would go for that. he'd snagged a mask that matched his uniform perfectly and donned it before doing wandering through the guests..
A small energy orb balanced at the tip of his fingers for a moment before he began to juggle it, taking a leaf from the book of David Bowie as Jareth the Goblin King. The sight of the glowing orb seemed to draw a few towards him and he slid on his mask before letting the real 'act' begin, the orb glowing just a bit brighter as it began to siphon energy from the nearby party goers.
It was way too easy.
He felt the energy and grinned as he headed through the party. IF he was lucky enough the idiot would be too busy sucking the life (literally) out of the party to notice him making his way through it. "Tsktsk ... such bad manners you know."
His brow quirked lightly at the shift in the air around him that came right before the sound of a voice. Senshi. Great.
Lt. Richterite gave the orb one last twirl on his finger before palming it, banishing it into the little pocket of darkness that he had been able to access through the Negaverse. Even if he was about to get into a fight he wasn't going to lose his night's prize. "Interrupting a performance certainly is. I bet you know all about that."
"I only interrupt ones that need to be interrupted." He smirked. He really did think it wasn't fair that the Negaverse got all the cute boys (except for him). Sure the Senshi got all the girls but it was a tragedy. There should have been more like him on the side of good. "Now, if you were actually preforming i would have been happy to watch."
"If you're wearing a mask or a costume it's always a performance, whether or not it's one that can be enjoyed by all. They seemed to be enjoying themselves just fine." He nodded, gesturing to the somewhat dazed civilians that were just starting to come out of the light energy trance. "I could put on a special performance just for you... I'm afraid it might hurt a little, though."
"I wouldn't call having their life sucked out enjoyment." He smirked as he let his eyes wander over the Negaverser. "Oh you could put on a performance for me but you'd have to promise to behave." He grinned. It wasn't like he'd be the first Negaverser he'd fooled around with either. It was a horrible thrill that he shouldn't be indulging in.
"Most of them are wasting their lives away anyways; imbibing in some form of drink or drug is no different than giving a bit of yourself over to a good cause." He shrugged his shoulders lightly with a trace of indifference... And then he was smirking. "I'm afraid I don't play nice with your sort. Senshi and a boy? Means I don't have to be chivalrous. I really don't like hitting girls." He murmured softly as though sharing a great secret.
"It would be if they were giving themselves over for a good cause." Why did the Negaverse always think they were right? it was just idiotic for them to think that. At the second bit his grin widened. "So you can't be chivalrous unless something's in a tiny skirt? That's almost sad. You should try to be so no matter those before you."
"To me they are." His indifference turned into a grin. "In the end, it all boils down to what story is able to persist. Which side and their efforts will stand the test of time?"
He watched the other's grin for a moment, chastising himself for the way his eyes lingered on the other young man's lips before they lifted to his eyes. "Not all of them are in tiny skirts... And a good number of them are just plain vicious, but I think that could be said of the women on both sides of our battle... Either way, I got what I came here for. Are you going to let me go peacefully or should we step outside?"
"I think so far we know which side's persisted for longer so far." If what the other Senshi said was right they'd been around since the beginning. The Negaverse? Not so much, just the power behind them. That was the power of a story though. It could be told so many different ways.
"We could step outside anyway, though I doubt what i have in mind is the same as what you do. Which is a tragedy i must say. It is entirely not fair that there are so few good looking male senshi."
"I would say neither side, at the moment, as the public seems to think your lot are a bunch of terrorists." His lot too, from time to time, but that was just because they weren't all that great in keeping things hidden. Subtle like a brick.
"What are you, then? Senshi of Pickup Lines and Bad Attempts?" A light smirk touched his lips, eyes dancing from beneath his mask. "Is that how you smite your foe?"
"Sailor Arachne ... Senshi of Spiders." He caught the edge of his jacket and bowed rather dramatically. "At your service." he straightened back up and gave the other boy a bright smile. "Sadly the public has just been missinformed, if they really need to be informed at all. I am not concerned with them at the moment."
Currently he was more interested in the boy in front of him. He at least had bite.
He almost would have prefered a salute of some sort than the dramatic bow given how the ranks worked within his own faction, but he returned the politeness with a curt nod of his head. "Lieutenant Richterite. At the service of the Negaverse and none other, I'm afraid... And the public is always misinformed. It's how politicians gain power, after all."
"They aren't always so. Some times they have the truth handed to them and they just refuse to believe it because it's boring and the lies are so much more interesting. That's how history is made." He grinned and tapped his fingers against the edge of his mask. "Hiding in plain sight is the best way to do it"
"I am inclined to agree, as far as hiding in plain sight goes. There's no need to completely drain one and leave them on the brink when a little bit from many can be every bit as effective... I am still doing my job, just as I am supposed to."
"I am not going to have the "you're doing it wrong" conversation with two of you. It's enough trouble keeping up with one." He still hadn't convinced Beni that he wasn't working for the right side. It was stills ad because he was sure Beni would make a wonderful Knight. "It's sad that you've all been twisted to think as you have. One day maybe I'll find a way to convince some of you it's not what you need."

"If you're going to let me go without a fight then there's no need to keep up with anyone other than whoever else it is you might be talking about." His eyes gleamed as they met the other man's. "... What do you think we need if not what we do?"
"I'm sure it differs for each of you. I just don't think you're right." He shrugged slightly. "Now. I'm not sure the Senshi are right to want to exterminate all of you either so don't go there, but all that darkness isn't the right way." He shifted so he could walk around the other, letting his eyes wander.
"Sounds like this is a talk you've had often... And here I thought it was only the little senshi, too young to be involved in this game, that stood around trying to talk. Maybe you aren't all as bloodthirsty as you like to think we are." He smirked, although that was the only bit of his expression seeming relaxed. The rest of him seemed tense and ready to fight or flee if need be.
"I'm not convinced you're all bloodthirsty. Just ... misguided." So far that's what he'd seen. Except for that one girl who he figured had other issues the Negaversers he'd met were just lost. They needed someone to brign them to the light and away from the chaos that had snagged them.
"You're going to find it hard to make others believe that you're a shepherd trying to guide us to the light in that get-up." He laughed as he gestured to the other young man's uniform. "If I wasn't more familiar with energy signitures I might have thought you were one of ours... Dark and snazzy."
"It just means i have taste." He loved his outfit. It was perfectly stylish no matter where he was or what he was doing and so long as no one was paying attention to energy he -did- look like one of the NEgaversers. he was sure it would come in handy some other time.
Tilting his head slightly his smirk widened. "So ... that means that if i kissed you and any of your friends saw they might not know you were snogging a senshi"
"I didn't come here with friends." Likely a mistake to admit, all things considered, but he did so just the same. If this Arachne wasn't alone, if he really wanted to hurt him and wasn't just playing a game of his own, he was done for.
"I don't 'snog' senshi."
'"How about cute boys? Do you snog those?" He grinned as he returned to face the other man. HE shouldn't be snogging anyone, not since he was seeing Rik, but it -was- his birthday. He deserved a treat of some sort.
"Only the one I happen to be dating." He nodded, letting his eyes meet those of the senshi. "Even evil bastards who fight for the right side can have soft spots."
Now that wasn't fair. How was he supposed to get the other guy to make out with him if he was dating someone? "What if i tell you it's my birthday?"
He felt a pang of guilt at the mention of birthdays, trying not to let his eyes drift towards the clock he knew was on the wall. He still had a date to keep; Lysander's birthday bled right into his own and they had agreed to spend it together, one way or another.
"I would find irony in that for reasons I don't feel compelled to share... And I would wonder why you were expecting a stranger, an enemy at that, to give you what you wanted because of it."
"Because strangers are the best people to ask for kisses on your birthday, they don't know how you really are, and because enemies are just friends who haven't realized how awesome you are yet." His grin stayed bright while he watched the other boy. "Besides. It's Halloween ... the best time to be adventurous"
"Enemies are just friends who haven't realized how awesome you are yet?" His brow quirked and it was all he could do to keep himself from laughing. "If I didn't know better, I'd think you were familiar with the Captain that recruited me. That sounds very much like something he would say..." Very, very Demetri Wright.
"I'm not sure my boyfriend would agree with you."
"He might if you let me talk to him for a few minuets. Who knows, maybe we could all have some fun." He so wouldn't be opposed to that. It would be a teenage dream come true and even while he was actually a teenager still.
"No." The last thing he wanted was to drag Lysander into this; even less than he wanted to drag Lucien into it, for completely different reasons. "He doesn't know and he isn't going to."
"Alright ... so if he doesn't know and isn't going to know then what's tos top you?" He tilted his head slightly. "Two completely different lives and what is to say you can't have fun in both of them? It's not like it would make you like him any less." He wouldn't liek Rik any less for snogging the Lt here. Rik was still his boyfriend and still the one he actually cared about.
He knew that he should feel horribly guilty for kissing the other young man; even more so because now that the kiss was over he wanted to kiss him again. His eyes were closed as he tried to gather his thoughts again, glad that he'd already banished the energy he'd gathered and he didn't have to worry about defending it.
"See, not so bad." He murmured before pressing their lips together again. He hadn't felt anything like this since the first time he kissed Rikard for the first time.
He returned the kiss again, this time bringing a hand up to lightly grab at the other's cravat, fingers twisting around the fabric in order to pull the other closer to him.
His arms lid over Richterite's neck so their bodies could slide closer together. It was Halloween and they were in costume. Like this even the civilians around them wouldn't take them for any more than more party guests enjoying a good time. It was -perfect- cover.
His hand slid from Arachne's cravat, drifting from the other man's chest up along his shoulder as he held him close, a weakness in his knees causing him to groan softly against the other's lips.
He took that as a good sign and pressed further into the kiss. His other arm lifted to wrap around the Lt's waist as he nipped at his lips. God he was going to be in so much trouble.p
He pulled back lightly at that, taking a moment to get his breathing back under control. "... That was your one kiss."
"You're not really gonna cut me off now are you?" That would -not- be fair.

"I told you I have promises to keep tonight." He murmured as his hand came up, slowly stroking fingertips down along the curve of the other young man's jaw.
"So .. make me a promise for another night." His voice was low as he watched the other. "Or pencil me in before your plans tonight."
"I don't make promises if there's no guarantee that I can keep them." His eyes gleamed for a moment as they met the other man's, fingers trailing slowly down the side of his neck and across his chest, pausing right above the place he knew the starseed resided beneath. He drew his hand back, resisting the temptation to just touch something that bright just as much as he was resisting the other. "It's your birthday... Don't tell me you don't have other plans yourself."
"It's not like you can't find me. or promise to meet me somewhere specific." He'd never miss a date, even if this life. IT wasn't that hard to make plans to go patrolling and meet someone though it was probably easier when you were meeting someone from your own side. "Of course I've got plans."
"Then why are you here with me right now instead of making good on those plans?" His smirk was devilish; a touch of temptation playing across his lips. "I told you... I'm seeing someone."
"Because I've still got time before my plans." He had an hour or so before he was supposed to meet Rik for his surprise. "I told you I'm seeing someone too ... but i can't share this with them. They're too good to be drug into this world."
"So instead you're looking to the vile darkness for someone you can share it with? Something slightly skewed about that, don't you think?" A light laugh fell from his mouth as he shook his head slowly. "You're going to get yourself into trouble, Arachne."
"Getting into trouble is half the fun in life." He smirked, hand wandering down the other boy's side. "Pushing boundaries that no one else will. Doing those things that you're told you shouldn't do."
"Guess there aren't any repercussions for senshi for doing things you're not supposed to do... No leaders on your side, are there? No ranks to keep you in line." That voice was telling him that now would be a good time to put an end to this wandering again while another voice told him it would be a better time to find things out; to get information from a senshi willing to discuss it.
"Oh there are leaders. Just not like on your side. Haven't you heard? Senshi are assholes. We don't take orders from anyone and prefer to just run around on our own." He smirked. He knew there were leaders though. There were teams and courts and those had to have someone in charge. Hell the 'mercenary' group he was part of technically had a leader too.
"There are a good number of people on my side who are convinced that's exactly why you're going to lose." He murmured, watching the other man's lips for a moment before leaning in to lightly kiss him again.
He could have argued, should have argued, but couldn't really make himself do so when he was getting kissed again. Winning or loosing the war wasn't really at the top of his concern list at that moment.
He drew back slowly from the kiss after a moment of letting it linger, a rather self-satisfied smirk on his lips.
"See, you're enjoying yourself." He smirked, murmuring softly so just the other man would hear him.
"I still have plans." He murmured in return, fingers sliding along the curve of the other's jaw once more. "Wouldn't be fair to him to spoil dinner with a snack."
"And yet you're still touching me like that..." He smirked. "Should run along to your plans then before i try more tactics to try to convince you that you should have a snack first."
"Should run along to yours too... It would be horrible of you to think of me while you were with your special someone."
"Promise me you'll meet me again and I wont. I'll be a good boy."
"What did I say about promises, senshi?" His brow lofted lightly. "If you know where to look, you'll find me again... Or you'll find a way to get a message to me."
"You could just be nice and promise me." He brshed a kiss against the others lips again. "Would be so much easier."
"I make promises to very few people." He murmured softly in response. "I barely know you... And you're an enemy." There was a teasing trace of amusement in his voice as he stepped back away from the other.
He pouted slightly at that. The Negaverse just didn't know how to have fun. He was convinced of that down to his bones. It was a poor sad thing too. "If you don't promise me then i will have to hunt you down, and believe me i will."
"I'll accept that threat as a promise, Sailor Arachne... And I look forward to it." He actually did bow to the other this time, raising his eyes as he rose from the motion.
"Keep your eyes out. You know how we spiders can just appear out of nowhere." He smirked before ducking into the crowd. He had plenty of time to get home and changed and go meet Rik for whatever his birthday surprise was supposed to be.
