Lysander had been tempted to get Arin to buy him an actual drink instead of coffee, even though he’d suggested the coffee first, but something told him that would still be a bad idea. Even if after having to run from a General and save his Ex from possibly getting himself torn to shreds he’d have rather had a proper drink. He’d almost hoped the cafe could do an irish coffee but sadly they didn’t so he’d stuck to a regular latte. They’d chatted for a bit until Arin’s phone had chimed and he’d ducked out to head home. Next time, if he ran into him again, he’d have to ask Arin who he’d been so interested in getting home to.
There was no way Airn had run off the way he had, with the blush he’d developed, without running off to someone.
Not that it was any of his business but he was curious who’d gotten Arin’s attention. It had to be someone hot to be better than him though they probably didn’t have to do much better in the personality department. “God this is not what I’m supposed to be thinking about.”
He’d gotten a bottle of wine out of the cooler and poured himself a glass before dropping onto the sofa. He’d sent a text to Abby to see if she was free but she hadn’t responded yet and that meant he was going to be stuck home alone drinking wine and lamenting his place in life. Saving his ex, who was now a knight, from some messed up crazed general was not something he figured he’d ever be doing. Yet here he was.
Sipping the wine he groaned and leaned his head back against the cushions. Arin had someone. He was pretty sure Cordy had someone even if it was ‘complicated’ and he, the well established manwhore, was alone.
Unless one counted Alma but he wasn’t sure he could actually count that. Even if he thought the corrupted senshi was cute that was one of those things that he shouldn’t do. Which meant it was something he was going to obviously continue to do, but he shouldn’t. Alma was cute, and sweet, and brilliant and he’d somehow just ended up on the wrong side. Lysander wasn’t even sure Alma had chosen that side he’d just somehow ended up over there. He didn’t know the other man well enough to really get into that though even if it was something he was curious about.
If only so he could save the senshi.
Alma seemed like he was a decent guy and he didn’t deserve whatever crazy nonsense the Negaverse would try to feed him.
“Oh my god Lysander. Stop that s**t.” He smacked a hand over his face as he realized he was starting to wander over into some ‘save the princess’ fantasy only it involved a guy with antlers and jingle bells. He wasn’t some savoir. He could barely keep his own second life straightened out so he had no place trying to fix someone elses. It was complicated enough keeping up with Thisbe and making sure she didn’t get herself killed.
"Lysander, you are not some fancy hero. You can't even deal with yourself. You're sitting on the couch drinking wine and moping because your life sucks."
