One of his favorite perks of his job was being able to actually get out early enough to do fun things. No more being stuck at school or stuck doing homework. No. This time when his phone chirped at him that it was Fat Tuesday he knew he'd actually be able to go out and have actual real fun. Which was exactly what he was doing. Half the city was clogged with revelers out either getting sloshed, waiting on the parade to start, or both. He'd only had a couple of drinks but he'd so far managed to collect a nice pile of beads. The ones tucked into his pocket were for giving out while the other's he'd strung around his neck or around his wrists were collected from others. He may not have had a good rack but he did at least have a bit of muscle and some ladies appreciated the view. The party was the best part though. Everyone was happy and enjoying themselves and everything just seemed normal for a bit. Lysander had ducked away from the crowd for a bit, down a small side street, so he could let his ears stop ringing from all the noise and so he could get a couple of selfies to send to his friends.

If there was anything that Seth enjoyed, it was a good party.
He slunk through the crowds now, ignoring the messy, drunk patrons, the ones with torn shirts and too much makeup and not enough sense in their minds to be of any real use or fun. A glass of vodka was in Seth's hand, not wine for once - he didn't trust the vintage here - and he took a small sip of it as he made his way towards an opening he saw in the thronging people clustered about.
It was easier to breathe on this side of the street. There was still reveling, and shouts, and music blasting everywhere, but Seth's eyes had found something interesting standing just a few feet away, shirt partially up, phone held out to snap photos of himself.
Eyebrows raised in amusement, Seth slowly made his way closer, his expression light, careless.
"Vhat are the pictures for?" he asked airily, one hand in the pocket of his black jeans, the other still holding the glass. "Someone special?"

He probably should have expected to get interrupted but part of him had figured most of the crowd would end up ignoring him for their own reveling. He did manage not to jump, or drop his phone, as he heard a voice closer to him than it should have been. Looking over Lysander raised a brow, slowly lowering his shirt back into place. "I am pretty damn special so, technically yes?" No point in going to a party if he couldn't share it with his friends. Cordelia needed a text too just because she was missing the fun. He looked the guy who'd interrupted him over, playful smirk firmly on his lips. "Trying to get away from the party or did something else over here catch your eye?"

A small laugh escaped Seth, who's gaze fluttered unabashedly down the man's lean form, uncaring how it looked, or what it might be construed as. He knew the other was doing the same; it was part of the game, after all, a game that Seth had played many times before, most recently to incredibly satisfying results.
"Who knows?" Seth answered airily, and took a sip of his vodka again, swirling the crystal clear liquid around in his glass. "Perhaps. Too many people. I prefer quiet."
A smirk touched his lips.
"More intimate that way."

"Tucked into an alley during the loudest party of the year isn't usually what people consider intimate." He smirked, sliding his phone into his pocket so he didn't end up dropping it. The glass caught his eye after his had made their way down and back up the other man's body. "Find something good to drink?" He'd had a couple but nothing that had been spectacular. Probably cause they'd been cheaper mixed drinks. "Any chance I can get a taste?"

"Perhaps not," said Seth, tone still light. "But is better than nothing."
He could have cared less that there were crowds of people milling about. Already there were couples pairing off here and there, the alcohol flooding people's veins, excitement and happiness and adrenaline coursing through all that were out on the streets.
Besides. It was a party. He was meant to have fun.
He found the man's gaze just as nice as the rest of him. Seth's lips slowly curved up into a smile. Silently he stepped closer, every movement slow, but deliberate, not hesitating as he came to a stop just a few inches away, separated by enough space that they weren't quite touching yet, but almost.
"Of course," he said lightly, and held out the glass deliberately.

He had to give the other guy credit. He knew what he wanted and he wasn't afraid of going for it. Since moving back to DC Lysander hadn't come across anyone like that and it was a refreshing reminder of being in school. He missed people not hinting at things and just going for it. The fact that the other man was good looking was a nice bonus too. "Thanks." He grinned. He wrapped a hand around the glass, fingers sliding over the other man's, as he took it so he could take a sip. He should have guess vodka but he wasn't expecting really good vodka. "You've got good taste."

The brush of fingers over his own sent a pleasing fizz through Seth's hand, his chin lifting, eyes amused as the other lifted his glass to take a sip. His gaze flickered across the strong jawline, the wide grin, and it was with a certain amount of amusement that Seth reached out a hand, wrapping his own deliberately around the hand already on the glass as he tugged it back.
"I know." Confidence, perhaps, but a light one. Seth took a minute step forward.
"Vhat is name? There are other things I have good taste in, too."

"Lysander, at your humble service." He smirked, not quite letting go of the glass since the other man had a hand atop his. The accent was an interesting touch too and he wondered what it would sound like saying other things. "Anyone who's got taste at all would want a taste of me. I do own mirrors." He wouldn't mind getting a taste of the other man either now that he was really thinking about it.

"Lysander," said Seth, and drew the name out deliberately so that it rolled off of his tongue as though he was tasting it - which he was, in a way. He could feel the heat of Lysander's fingers reverberating warmly against his own, neither one of them making any motion to pull away.
Seth's dark brows rose, amusement thick in his voice as he said, "Mirrors, you say? That is interesting."
He stepped minutely closer, eyes falling half-lidded.
"I vouldn't mind seeing your mirrors. Or haff taste of what you are offering."
He liked the game of things, but he also liked being as straightforward as possible when he found something he liked - especially with someone as appealingly receptive as this man was.

"If that's the case then be my guest," He leaned up enough that there was barely any space separating them. "Take whatever taste you want. Wouldn't dream of denying someone so handsome." Not when a good distraction from everything might be at hand at least. He deserved some fun after all the hassle of moving and getting back into his life here. Plus it was St. Patties. You were supposed to get drunk and do stupid things. That was practically in the holiday description.

Enjoyment flickered across Seth's eyes, and the hand that was not currently holding the glass slid to rest shamelessly on Lysander's hip, sliding around to his back as Seth took a step forward. And now there was no space at all between them, and he could have drawn it out longer, but he didn't.
His mouth pressed against Lysander's, warm and yielding; not quite gentle, per say, but an initiatory kiss, an indication that he would let Lysander delegate where and how far it went.

He couldn't stop the slightly surprised sound that was muffled between their lips but ignored that he'd made it, would deny it if asked, and leaned up into the kiss. This was how the holiday was supposed to go; good food, a little bit of liquor, and someone to do a little heavy petting with. They weren't quite there but that seemed like something that would be up Seth's alley. Speaking of alleys he slid his arms around Seth's waist as he took a couple steps back, tugging the other man along until his back hit the wall.

It was a pleasing sound. Seth felt his lips curve up into an amused smile against Lysander's, his eyes falling shut, the music a rhythmic beating in his ears. There was the chatter of people, the bright sound of laughter, everything cascading together in a cacophony of noise and color and excitement.
Seth stumbled forward a little as he was pulled, a satisfied hum escaping him. His hands slid to rest on Lysander's waist, the smile turning into a grin. One hand rose and skimmed the man's neck, fingers delving into his hair.
"Much better than parade," Seth drawled before kissing him again.

Seth did have a point, this was much better than the parade. Best way to spend a festival of any sort in his opinion but not one he'd been able to do in a while. Moving away from Cali did mean there weren't as many huge festivals but he could get into smaller ones if they were going to turn out like this. Since it didn't seem like they were going to be stopping any time soon he slid his fingers into Seth's hair. It had been a while since he'd done anything with someone who actually had hair long enough to really get your hands into.
