Adventure is out there:
Ridley almost lives outside, preferring to be anywhere but at home (wherever that may be). Horsing around, tumbling about, playing (even though she is a little old for some of that, thanks), getting dirty, going on a hike or even just sitting outside on her phone. She'll figure out something to do outdoors.

This is my iPhone, obviously I didn't get it to make calls:
Well, now she does make calls. Sometimes. But, that's what texting is for now, right? Ridley still lives on her phone even far past childhood but now being a teenager, the restrictions of old are long gone. Now she has facebook, instagram and even more addicting games to play.

Freeze Frame ~:
Her phone (and being in California for as long as she was) at least helped kindle a new passion for Ridley, photography. Some of her images might be 'I'm 17 and this is deep' but it at least sparked a new kind of creative energy and outlet for the teenager.

KITTENS:
It wouldn't be Ridley Pendergast if she didn't still have obsession with cats. She is a little more conscious about not downright stealing them these days but oh she will make it a mission to stalk them, cuddle them and love all that cross her path. (and take pictures... so many instragram posts about cats).


VIRTUES:

EVERYTHING IS STILL AWESOME:
Ridley remains a very positive and optimistic individual. That's not to say she's naive to believe that everything is just sunshine and rainbows but she will tend to have a very favorable outlook on life. (Sometimes everythings not awesome, but that doesn't mean everything is hopeless and bleak). And if she has to, she'll see if there is a way to turn things around.

We'll get there... eventually!:
She's not always the sharpest tool in the shed but that doesn't mean she doesn't try nor let the problems she faces get the best of her. Sometimes she has to take the long way around to reach a conclusion or the solution; be it a creative or even unconventional method. Or sometimes its just hours later that the light bulb appears over her head and she finally gets it.

Even the devil can have a halo:
As rough and rowdy as Ridley can get, there is still a decent head on her shoulders. She can be polite and respectful when she wants to be; the example of a model citizenship. Part of it is a gained way to sweet talking and worm her way into people's hearts, a lot of it was just hard work on her parents' part. And some of it because she knows she might get something out of it.


FLAWS

strike first and ask questions later:
Ridley has the habit of reacting first before thinking, be it responding to the world around her or even simply to people. She's head strong and just goes for it without thinking of the repercussions of what she does (sometimes realizing it wasn't the best decision). And with people, she can be spew a good amount of insults (even sometimes a punch in extreme cases) if pushed in such a way; a defense mechanism that she really knew grew out of.

Overwhelming and a little overboard:
Hyperactivity coupled with barrels of optimism is bound to lead all kinds of obnoxious. Not to mention, how she generally just reacts to things - be it with EXTREME OPTIMISM or a punch in the face. Ridley can be unbearable at times and a little clingy if she finds interest in you.

Need to direct that focus:
Distractions are the worst and more so when there are so many things going on at once to cause her mind to wander. Ridley can really only focus on one task at a time least her mind wanders and she even forgets what she was doing in the first place. Working in silence helps or with background noise that's familiar and not new, or the task at hand has been made to sound like the most exciting thing in the world.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

Eyes: wide, childish and burnt orange.

Hair: yellowish orange, bright and happy in color [like an orange peel]. Pigtails, the longer strands loop back into the back of her head while the shorter strands hang loose; the base of the loops are past her shoulders, almost to the waistline. She also has longer strands that are pulled into braids to wrap around the bases of her pigtails. Pointy bangs upon her forehead and forelocks that frame around her face.

Face: round and lean

Overall: pale skintone, medium height and a pretty decent build with all the activity she gets.

Clothes: Ridley enjoys very girly clothing, now with a little more style and perhaps a little too much influence from instagram.

Sailor Scout Attack: Herbal Remedy
Hygiea claps her hands together and then pulls them apart slowly to reveal an herb encased in a glowing orb of light. The herb will stay encased in the glow throughout its appearance on the field. Hygiea can either physical use it on someone [rubbed or absorbed] or even have someone consume it.
CONDITIONS
. Can do this twice throughout a fight. But the first herb must be used before she can summon another one.
. The orb stays on the field and has to be used within 15 seconds before it vanishes.
. Herbs have a healing effect, but very minor; so applied externally only the cut or bruise it is applied to with be healed or soothed. If a major cut, scratch and is one that would require stitches, the herb will not completely heal it but at least make it more treatable and less prone to infection. If consumed, its like taking some pain killers [think ibuprofen]

Super Sailor Scout Attack: Herbal Mix-up
Hygiea claps her hands together, similar to her regular attack, but this time two herbs appear in the small glowing orb. She now has the option to use the two herbs on two different people or combine them for a SUPER effect. Again, she can physically use it on someone, have them consume it or throw it at someone.
CONDITIONS
. This time, the introduction of harmful herbs come into play. The leaf will still look generic so she has no idea what kind she will have summoned.
. NEW. Negative herbs. If applied externally, prepare for a rash! If applied internally, prepare for a stomach ache! These can linger as long as the player wants.
. She can perform this twice, but the first two herbs cannot be on the field. If she does her regular attack before this, that also must be off the field before this goes.
. The orb(s) have a longer duration of 20 seconds on the field before it/they vanish.
. Positive effects and Negative effects are boosted if she combines the herbs, these effects are technically doubled but are still considered minor; that rash is bigger and itchier, that stomach ache is super distracting and makes you kind of nauseous, those pain killers are acting a little better, wow that cut is pretty much gone! If a negative and positive are combined, it is negated and using the herb does nothing.

Eternal Sailor Attack: Bowl of Hygiea
Hygiea holds out her hands in front of her body, palms up as if forming a bowl. As she casts her attack, they fill with a warm glowing liquid that she is then able to sprinkle upon the ground as she swings her arms out and around her. Herbs will then sprout from the ground, around her and any powered individuals in the field of attack.
CONDITIONS
. This field is only about 20 feet from her initial casting.
. She can only do this once, since it takes a lot of energy out of her.
. Effects will be random, either a field of helpful herbs or a field of harmful herbs.
. Effects have the chance of being INSTANT if touched with bare skin, otherwise, the herbs will remain on the field for 30 seconds, so players can pick them up and essentially use them.
. Conditions and strength are on par of her basic senshi attack, and as such only one effect will take place on the character (ie, a character can't grab a handful and help all their cuts or cause a whole bunch of rashes on another character).


HOW THE HERBS ARE USED:
Consumed: Literally eating it. Most likely Youma will be the ones doing this as Hygiea doesn't want to shove things down people's throats. Internal Effects apply.
Rubbed/Applied: Hygiea places the herb on the hurt area for the effect to take place. Can be rubbed or just placed. External Effects apply.
Absorbed: Hygiea basically pushes the herb into you. Very Rarely happens as it takes a lot of energy. Internal AND External effects apply.


IMPORTANT NOTES:
. herbs work equally on both Senshi and Nega, they do not discriminate or work better for either side. So, yes. She can hurt her allies and help her enemies.
. Throwing the herb ball is not an attack, its more of a nuisance and distraction if hit by it - which also doesn't hurt at all - or a way to get it to someone to make them take it.
. And yes, players can refuse to be treated by Hygiea unless unconscious so they then have no say.

. And no, the cat does nothing. Though, she can sure whack you with it!

The asteroid
[10] Hygiea is an asteroid located in the main asteroid belt - it lays in the outer part of the belt. It's the forth largest asteroid according to volume and mass and the largest in the class of dark c-type asteroids with a carbonaceous surface. It's also the main member of the Hygiea family, containing almost all the mass of the family.

It was discovered in 1849 by Annibale de Gasparis who named the asteroid in honor of the ruling family of the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies where Naples was located. Though, in 1852, John Russel Hind dropped a majority of its original name - Boubon Hygieia - to a shorter Hygiea. It has also been spelled as Hygieia and Hygeia.

Even though its pretty big compared to some of the other asteroids, it has a dark surface and a larger-than-average distance from the Sun so its pretty hard to observe from Earth. It's actually the third dimmest of all the asteroids in the main belt family. Thus, a few asteroids were found before it and not a lot of information is known about it.

What is known is that is is composed of a carbonate substance similar to the chondrite meteorites and hints of water have been detected on the surface, heated to melt. Its shape is noticeably a oblate spheroid with the average diameter of 444 ± 35 km and a semimajor axis ratio of 1.11. Compared to the other big three, Hygiea has a pretty low density which is comparable to the icy satellites of Jupiter and Saturn.

Hygiea's orbit is pretty similar to Ceres, Pallas and Interamnia but is less circular than Ceres and Vesta. It shares orbital characteristics with many of its sister asteroids really; perihelion like Vesta and Ceres and Pallas. At its aphelion Hygiea manages to drift to the extreme edges of the asteroid belt. It is also pretty slow in rotating, taking about 28 hours but to direction is yet unknown. It takes about five and a half years to orbit the sun, spending roughly six months in each sign, orbit and retrograde dependent.

Hygiea has an axis tilt of about 60 degrees and a temperature of about 164 Kalvin, maximum reaching 247k (-26 degrees)

The goddess
In Greek and Roman mythology, Hygiea - or Hygieia, Hygeia - was a goddess of health, cleanliness and sanitation. In Roman mythology, she was known as Valetudo, goddess of good health, and in Italy she was identified as Salus. She was daughter and attendent of the god of medicane, Asclepius and one of the companions of Aphrodite. He was more associated with healing while she was for the prevention of sickness and the continuation of good health; and obviously brings her to be the source of the word Hygiene.

Hygieia's main temples were located in Epidaurus, Corinth, Cos and Pergamon. Statues in these temples were said to have been covered by women's hair and pieces of Babylonian clothes. According to inscriptions, these same sacrifices were offered at Paros.

The goddess was often depicted as a young woman feeding a large snake that was wrapped around her body or drinking rom a jar she carried.

Some of Hygieia's companions were her brother Telesphorus, who represented the recovery from illness. Two of her sisters were Panakeia, cure-all, and Iaso, remedy.

. Jasper "Demolition" Pendergast
father, fire fighter. Tough build, buff and a powerhouse. Known as the 'Demolition' since he's usually the first one on the scene with his axe and just his body really, getting through the doors to get the remainders of people out to safety or just trying to get his fellow firefighters into the scene to knock the fires down.
He takes his job and his family very seriously, protective of both his families really and would fight for them until the bitter end. Especially so, to live up to the legacy his grandfather held when he was a firefighter [it skipped a generation, his father was an English teacher]. When home, he's still pretty intimidating but when his daughter came along, a lot of his edge got rubbed away [much to the amusement of his boys at the station].
Between the two parents, Jasper is the better cook and his meals are the most savored. His preferred sports are baseball, football and basketball and he commonly plays each one when given the chance.
BUT WHAT DOES HE LOOK LIKE?
He's about 6'5 and built like powerhouse from years of training and bodybuilding. He's pretty pale, being of Norwegian decent. Ridley gets her looks from his side of the family, at least hair and eyes though its hard to tell with the hair as he shaves his.
[Jasper is aware of his daughter's powered life and is very protective and reluctant of letting her go out and fight the forces of chaos. But he does so none-the-less].

. Monica Pendergast
[ nee' Sargsyan ] mother, works as an administrative assistant within Nissan. Monica got her start as a booth babe for the company, wearing those skimpy outfits at car shows and was featured in many calendars and promotional materials [that.. you know weren't trying to be all sophisticated]. She grew up around cars because of her dad, who restores classic cars and was just an all around diesel head. She 'retired' from the latex outfits when she married Jasper on her own accord and to just get herself a better job.
Monica is a little ditzy, clueless at time but her heart is in the right place and she means well. She's also pretty affectionate and doesn't hesitate to bestow hugs and kisses on her family - especially in public.
Can't cook worth beans but is magic when it comes to cleaning and housekeeping. She doesn't care much for sports, but supports all her family does and enjoys. She's more of a motor head, and loves race cars.
Loves Ridley Scott movies and classic sci-fi. And Top Gear/The Grand Tour
BUT WHAT DOES SHE LOOK LIKE?
Bombshell babe with curves in the right places. Long black hair, purple eyes. Ridley gets her facial structure - and probably later her body structure - from her mom. She's of Armenian decent, so has an slight olive complexion.

. Max Pendergast
oldest brother, Monica's son from a previous relationship [a bad one, he was such a deadbeat]. She had him when she was 18 herself. Max is pretty well mannered and has his head on his shoulders, at currently coaches football at a high school in California (and volunteer firefights). He adores his siblings and even as old as they all are, likes to bicker and pick stupid fights with them.
Jasper officially adopted him when he and Monica got married.
BUT WHAT DOES HE LOOK LIKE?
He has a slightly darker complexion than the rest of the family, having gotten from his father. Black hair, deep blue eyes. He's tall, as tall as Jasper, and has almost a similar build being a Tight End.

. Conner Pendergast
middle child. Jasper's son from a previous marriage, no one knows what happened to his mother; some say she was last seen in Europe. Conner actually went into software development and coding, finding a knack for it in college and currently works at a company that helps other companies code the infrastructure of their websites and other ... things. (no one in the family understands what he does... Ridley.. sometimes does?)
Like with Max, Monica officially adopted him when she and Jasper married.
BUT WHAT DOES HE LOOK LIKE?
His hair and eyes are a little darker, closer to brown than Ridley's, due to his mother's genes but he's closer in complexion to her and their dad. He's shorter than Jasper and Max and leaner.

. Pris
family cat, seventeen years old, female. A silver classic tabby Maine Coon cat, huge, tubby and fluffy. When the family figured they were not going to be having anymore children, they rescued Pris from a local shelter. And then, Ridley came along, and Pris was not pleased. The cat became rather disgruntled towards everything and everyone, especially Ridley. But, oddly enough, over the years it was Ridley that Pris turned to following around and sleeping with; becoming a big old softy in the end.
This cat will never die, how dare you... she missed Ridley to pieces (not really)

. Oliver
another family cat, more of Ridley's, three years old. Orange fluffy tabby (partly named after the Disney movie, partly named after a car from Top Gear). Ridley found him outside her grandfather's house one day and was just delighted to finally be like those people on Reddit who keeps finding animals. He's feisty and playful and one day Ridley will get him one of those cat backpacks to take him on long trips outside (for now, he's at least harness trained).

family dog, passed away a few years back. Jasper is still trying to find it in his heart to get another dog.

Ridley met her one day at the mall when a monster was attacking - Iris was also there - and the little manx cat told the little girl she was destined to be a pretty suited sailor soldier and gave her a magical pen. Ridley - and well Hygiea - adores her, though thats a given that she's a cat. ********* loves food, and Ridley is more than willing to give ner anything she wants ... and probably more attention than she would want.
Ridley misses her the most.

Ridley met Ellie once when she was over at her house working on a project with her older brother Max. Ridley thinks she's a little mean, hopefully they can get along later. Hygiea met Iris when she was first awakened and healed her... and learned what her power was in the first place. Hygiea thinks Iris is AMAZING.
Ridley ... well, she's a bit indifferent. I mean, she misses all her teammates but... well... Ellie was Ellie?

They didn't interact as much as civilians, as Ridley was mostly with Istas whenever she did activities ... and then she got sick and was confined to the infirmary for remainder of camp. Hygiea met Egeria when a mean lady took ********* and a rescue was mounted which turned into an assault on a door and then fighting a swamp monster. Hygiea thinks Egeria's power is SUPER cool, and is a little jealous she gets a neat power.
Ridley misses her a lot, they had fun together.

Silver Whistle - A pretty little whistle on a small chain.
When blown, the whistle can disorient all opponents within fifteen feet. The whistle can be used once per day and effects should be discussed with your RP partner before use, but can include dizziness, nausea, headaches, and temporary deafness, any of which can linger upon player desire. Anyone who is not considered hostile will not hear any noise when the whistle is blown.
