[ Ridley finally gets to go home from Camp Larkspur ]
Ridley had desperately wanted to go back home with the rest of the kids on the bus, especially after the excitement of the battle with the sludge monster. To see whom she had maybe encountered along the way without realizing, since it was so hard to tell which person was a senshi or not. Well, she knew who HugBell was now and being able to talk with Istas would have been amazing all the way home.
But because she had gotten sick, and made herself a little worse from the previous night in the cold and the wet of the lake, the orange haired girl was feared to be just a small ball of contagious germs and her parents were called to pick her up instead. Which sucked, she didn't feel sick at all! Okay, she had a slight fever and was sneezing like every five minutes, but she felt totally fine. Grumpily, with the help of one of the nurses, she managed to get all her stuff packed up; everything she had brought over and the few things she had managed to make. Thankfully, when there seemed to be no one around, Ridley was able to sneak away long enough to get ********* back into her bag.
Not a lot of goodbyes were able to be given as she was ushered to one area where her dad's truck was waiting for her. A few waves to those she saw but still not enough. It was a little depressing but... well, on the bright side, she'd most likely see them all when she got better since they all went to the same school anyways. But it still sucked that she didn't get to go back with the other kids. Ridley gave the nurse who had hovered over her a small thanks as she climbed into the small back seat of the vehicle, with her large bag following behind.
"Did you have fun?" Jasper asked as he started the car and began to pull out of the lot.
"Totally!" Ridley replied in a froggy tone, her throat was still a little raw, "it was awesome... until I got sick." She moped as she pulled her backpack a little closer to her chest and unzipped the larger portion of the bag to spy ********* within. There were a bunch of snacks in there as usual but surprisingly the manx was snoozing away with a soft purr.
"Yeah, I can imagine," her dad sympathized with a crocked smile, "I got sick during my first week of training, so don't feel too bad." The bald man chuckled as they got underway home, "why not take a nap, its going to be a long way home." He suggested, after taking a quick glance through the rearview mirror as his daughter yawned deeply with droopy eyes.
Ridley nodded as she clutched the bag tighter, ********* purrs lulling her to sleep. Before she knew it, her head was resting on her luggage like a pillow as father and daughter made their way home.
