Of course her parents had to get her sharpies. They just couldn't resist the cliche "writing on the cast" tradition. The worst part was that her Mom had good connections in the office environment, so she was able to get pretty much a rainbow of colors for others to write with.
Jared had already been a d**k and drew a lame drawing of a bike in pink. Zuniga had been a bit classier and wrote in black, doodling a skull next to his well wishes. Contradictory message at best. Phil didn't try doodling anything, but wrote in red, which seemed to turn into a purpley color on the blue cast material.
Ellie wished that the cast had been white, or even obnoxious bright yellow like her motorcycle. The colors could have shown up better.
With the black sharpie, she had begun to color the area around her fingers on her left side, filling in the scant amount of white at the edges with the more hardcore black color. It at least gave her something to do while sitting in a bed doing nothing.

Lissy had heard from ********* about Ellie and had been more then happy to agree to visiting the leader in hospital. She had gone armed with sharpies of rainbow colours, because you know rainbows.
She had been shown into the room easily enough by saying that Ellie looked after her and she had brought her grapes (which she had and because Ellie was in hospital she clearly needed grapes!). Of course being the small cute child it didn't take long to be escorted to the room and just to keep up the act Lissy saw Ellie, called her name, ran over and gave her a hug. Once the nurse had gone however Lissy got the grapes and threw a few at Ellie's face.
"You are so stupid and you think we are stupid but you... you are really stupid." She thought it was emphasizing the fact that Ellie was clearly really stupid.

Ridley's father had found it odd that she had wanted to go to the hospital and given her a suspicious look upon receiving the request. It drift from Jasper's mind even after his daughter explained to her that one of her friends was in the hospital and it still lingered even after he dropped her off, with explicit instructions to call him when she was done.
The orange haired girl had also arrived armed with decorations, she didn't think of bringing snacks but stickers were the first to pop into her mind. Of course they were Lisa Frank, they seemed fitting and the line had adorable looking cats to book. Her little fingers were nearly clinging to the sticker sheets as she made her way through the corridors and hallways, dodging the nurses and making sure not to bug anyone that didn't need bugging - the ones who did were the RNs that needed to tell her where to go.
With a turn of the knob and a heave of her shoulder, Ridley made her way into the room that held Ellie with a huge smile on her face. It grew wider when a familiar head of teal hair seemed to be obviously there as well. "Lissy!" She greeted happily, she didn't see this teammate as often as she could love to.
Then she turned to Ellie, and her eyes grew wide, "Hey Ellie... holy s**t your cast!" Obviously she knew their leader had been hurt but she didn't know it was this bad. ********* obviously missed some details.
And it was a very boring blue color.

Istas had found a moment's time when she could sneak off to see Sailor Iris in the hospital. Of course when she got there she saw Ridley and followed behind the girl trying to keep from looking suspicious occasionally getting stopped by a nurse but keeping her friend in sight the whole time. She didn't really know Iris' civilian name so she couldn't ask by that.
She explained she had a friend there and she held up a room number, with an added; I know where I'm going thank you though. Then she would quickly move away from the nurse that stopped her and back on the tracks of Ridley.
Getting there was more work than the young girl could've hoped for however, as she walked into the room not long after Ridley had she smiled. It was luck that they had managed to go on the same day. She paused when she also saw Lissy who she remembered from camp and from school. Oh was she part of ********* team too? Istas could only imagine.
"Hi!" She chirped after a second giving a small wave to the other girls and bouncing over to see Ellie's arm and inspect the cast. "Wow you really did do a number on it." Tact, she had it indeed.

The girl in the hospital bed was not prepared for someone small to come in and cling onto her like she was the best thing since sliced bread. It was awkward at best, especially since she was still in the middle of coloring. Even while the nurse was still in the room, Ellie couldn't help but mutter at the teal haired child "...do ya mind?"
Obviously Lissy did mind, for the next thing the tomboy knew, she had grapes being pelted at her head. In an exasperated tone, she had to ask "Really?! Really?!" With a heavy sigh, she added "Ya came all this way jus' t'do somethin' stupid like that?!" At least the grapes were firm enough that they weren't exploding into fruit goo on her face and just harmlessly bouncing onto the bed in her lap.
Another voice chimed in and soon enough her gold eyes managed to locate a head of orange hair. If she had turned away, she might have not seen a child with familiar ringlets following Ridley into the room.
"...so is there a reason why I'm stuck babysittin'? Did th'school like have a field trip t'the hospital or some sh*t?"

Lissy smiled as she saw Ridley enter the room and stopped throwing grapes say hi.
"Heya!, Look I brought sharpies!" She then showed them to Ridley and smiled at Ellie eyeing up the cast. After all it needed decorating right? Hadn't Ellie been colouring it when she had come in after all?
However Istas walking in was a different matter all together.
"What are you doing here?" She basically demanded. Istas wasn't part of the team. Heck she wasn't even a senshi as far as Lissy knew and it ruined the fun of having a go at Ellie if someone else was here and she wanted to have fun throwing grapes, colouring on the cast and telling their team leader what a rubbish leader she was but she couldn't do the last thing with Istas here and that irritated her.
"How do you know Ellie?" She narrowed her eyes as if she was about to give Istas a good old interrogation.

Huh, there were grapes. Ridley's orange eyes immediately meandered to them as she got closer to the blonde leader, curious how they had gotten there. Lissy obviously had a bag of them... but she couldn't put two and two together that the teal haired girl had thrown them at Ellie, even with how the older girl was complaining. She wasn't listening really to the banter, just coming up with funny ideas of why the grapes were pooled in her lap which made her usual easy smile turn into something a little wicked.
Sharpies though. "Oh!" Ridley's attention suddenly turned, eying what else Lissy had in her hands. The orange haired girl held up the stickers she brought, gearing to go on peeling them and assaulting Ellie's cast with them. Though, her teammates unease with Istas didn't go unnoticed.
Did they not know each other? Or well, know each other in that sense either? Ridley wasn't sure if she was supposed to say anything, but well ... they were all friends right? "That's HugBell." Ridley chimed in happily.

Istas paused, when Lissy started demanding to know what she was doing here, "I Uh...." And then Ridley spoke.
Istas winced, "Ridley!" She used a scolding tone she'd heard from her mother. "You don't tell people...." She paused and moved to grab Ridley by the arm and held up a finger for the other two to give them a moment as she hit the younger girl on the back of head much like Gibbs does on NCIS. She'd been watching too much TV lately.
"Ridley you don't tell secret identities to people that aren't a senshi!" She tried to whisper perhaps a little too loud. "What would happen if a Nega officer heard you!?" The child's hands were on her hips hoping to get this through to Ridley of course now the cat was out of the bag. So turning rubbing the back of her head and moving to shove the door shut the child looked a little embarrassed. "What she means is that I like to give Hug's and... uhh.... the sounds of bells!" She nodded curls bouncing hoping that would cover her tushie!

While the children seemed to be squabbling, the eldest in the room glanced at the pieces of fruit in her lap. Ellie was never a fruits person. Grapes were particularly gross to her, thanks to those god awful skins covering them. Grapes never went down the right way because those skins were always so bitter and gross.
After letting the children go squabbling for a bit, the blonde interjected with an answer that didn't compromise Istas' secret identity at all (though apparently the cat was already out of the bag thanks to Ridley).
"...she's th'one who called th'ambulance fer me..."
A pause.
"Seriously... why are all three of ya 'ere?"

Lissy relaxed when Ridley spoke.
"Oh okay!" She smiled then and just laughed at how Istas seemed to panic that Ridley had told her who she was. Ah well it wasn't a big deal.
However she did turn to Ellie when she spoke.
"Well it was a good thing someone was there!" She then got her pen and wrote 'stupid' on Ellie's arm, though it took her a while as she had to think seriously how to spell it. She then started to draw a big rainbow around it, just so Ellie wouldn't forget why she was stupid.
"Hey Istas, want a sharpie?" She offered one out in case they wanted to draw too!

Ridley didn't see why this was such a big deal as she rubbed the back of her head where Istas has thwacked her. "I wouldn't have if they weren't!" She explained, her mouth pushing up in an angry pout, she wasn't that dumb. "And obviously no one else is around!" There were no nurses and unless people had hospital rooms bugged or something, it seemed pretty much in the clear.
At least Ellie and Lissy didn't seem to be having a fit, in fact it seemed her other chibi teammate seemed better at ease with her simple explanation and had moved on to coloring on the older girl's cast.
"We came to visit you, duh." Ridley explained, not without sticking her tongue out at Istas before moving to the bedridden girl. "********* told us what happened, though obviously not well enough because your cast is huge! Not even my brothers have had as big of casts and they play sports and stuff." The orange haired girl rambled as she began to peel a very colorful cat from the sheet and pressed it against the blue cast, mindful of Lissy's work. "What exactly happened anyways? Did you get hit by a bus or something?"

"So... all of us are on the same side?" Istas was looking at Lissy, "You still should ask if it's okay to tell someone Ridley." She told the girl, "I think ********* would agree."
Istas nodded when Ellie spoke, "Yeah, I called for help." She chimed in with a smile before heading back over towards Ellie. "I wanted to be sure you were okay for one. You kinda passed out on me for a while before we got here."
She answered with a small hum as she eyed the Sharpies that Lissy offered and borrowed a purple one. "It was very good, she probably would've been worse off than this if I hadn't." She had pushed a chair closer so she could get a good angle on drawing and started doodling a teddy bear.
She paused when Ridley asked what happened. "She got hit by the road." The child answered her orange haired friend.

Lissy definitely was not hiding the fact she had it in for the blonde. First grape pelting, then insults, and now Ellie could read the upside down graffiti. She wasn't in the mood to fight it. The child would get to color all she wanted on that cast of hers. It didn't really matter, it wasn't like it was permanent like a tattoo.
"Well... whatever... yer gonna do what yer gonna do at this point... ain't like I can shoo ya guys away, right? That's what the nursing staff is 'round for." She knew on TV the nurses had an awful tendency to shoo people away pretty quickly.
Knowing her luck, they would probably take forever before they attempted to rush the children away.
Rather than hide from the mistake she had made, she laid out bluntly what Hugbell had really done for her. "The kid saved my life. If she didn't supply me cushion, I woulda been a sidewalk pancake." There was a pause as she looked to the youngest of the crew.
"I would have died." There was no joy in her tone. No snarky hint to her voice. She almost sounded completely withdrawn in some sense, lacking the usual energy that seemed to rule everything she ever did.

"Well that just serves you right for going out alone." Lissy didn't really think Ellie would have died, it was Ellie, she couldn't die just like *********, they were invincible! So maybe they weren't really but they were in her head and so the thought that Ellie could have died wasn't really a shock or anything like that.
"Make sure you call us next time! We should be with you, we had to have been with you and like that nega dude would have had no weapon then!" She smiled widely at that thought.
"How long till you are going to be better?" She wanted to know when she could be a complete pain in the arse again, not that she was ever really nice.

Could have died. Could have died. As much as Ellie Spectre was not yet in the awesome category in Ridley's book, it still left a pang of something, the little girl was unable to really put into good words what she was feeling listening to Lissy and Istas talk about what had happened. Sadness and probably anger, with anger winning the fight as the more the little girl mulled it over. Ellie had gone it alone, that's what got her into this mess...
Ridley's orange eyes narrowed for a moment as she curled her fingers around a sticker she was about to place on the cast - it had hovered for a good few moments as she listened. With a puff, she haphazardly placed it on the cast and made to move, taking the extra effort to walk around the bed and to the other side. Ellie's good side and gave her a mighty punch into her good shoulder. "You made such a big deal with them being your stupid rules and you ended up breaking them!" She nearly yelled, only managing to stop herself when she remembered where she was.
"No wonder Lissy is calling you stupid, 'cause you are!" She added, still overly miffed, with another punch.
