Personalities: The Girl +A Ball of Sunshine Somehow, despite all the difficulties and woe she has faced in her young life, Abbi remains a source of eternal cheer. Constantly full of vigor and vim, she is exuberantly bright, smiling as often as she can with a laugh close behind. She is not without her moments of serenity, she just reserves these for herself in her solitude. In public she will be loud and childish, bouncing on her toes for attention and unsatisfied with being ignored. Everyone is a friend she just hasn’t met yet, and people she does already count as companions are treated to special attention, be it nicknames, special gifts, or even the most rare blessing of physical adoration in the form of hugs, demands for piggyback rides, and linked arms.
+Fanciful Fangirl Now less shy when it comes to the myriad of geeky things she loves there is no stopping her. Any and every reference is thrown into her speech or texts without care that those around her will not understand because sometimes someone will. And that’s just fantastic! People are categorized in a variety of ways, usually after otome game types, and more often than not informed of this stereotype. At the same time, Abbi is constantly trying to categorize herself and finding herself coming up short. In turn she just tries to keep up with the outside world as best she can and happily continues to toss out catch phrases and references as frequently as possible. Her previous habit of spouting random facts is not gone, but has definitely taken a bit of societal hit. Having grown more confident in her ability to strike up conversations with people, she has forgone this route and saves it for conversational topics instead. She is always seeking more knowledge, but Abbi prides herself on being both a bottomless pit of useless information and a cultivator of pop culture.
+Virgo McSasspants, First of her Name Organized, helpful, naive and sweet, perfect in practically every way, Abbi does what she can to exemplify the ideal Virgo type. Her room is never cluttered, everything has a place and things are rarely lost. No one is denied a helping hand when she is involved, the smallest favor is never ignored and the largest ones are completed with relish. A touch innocent in her views of life and love, Abbi still has a lot of heart that she puts into everything she does. And everything is wrapped up with the pretty bow of a smart a** comeback. Never one to let someone else have the last laugh, Abbi goes out of her way to be sassy in her remarks and her retorts. Refusing to use foul language, she certainly gets colorful with insults but would prefer to use wit to win her way. Why be simply sweet when you can throw a smirk in there too?
-Perpetual Seven Year Old Though Abbi is all grown up, and insists frequently that she is, she does a very poor job of showing it. Quick to have her feelings hurt, even quicker to call names, Abbi is still very much a child. Her whole life she has been sheltered by her father and step-mother and now at Deus by the system itself and a handful of friends. Many things that responsible adults are familiar with (cooking, managing finances, dealing with stress and a variety of emotions in seemingly healthy ways) are things she’s never had to learn and is perfectly fine without them. Because of this she is at turns demanding, finding temper tantrums not above her, and hasty to prove herself. The dangers of others was never fully learned so Abbi trusts most people implicitly. There is always the possibility that someone could take advantage of her, but she wouldn’t recognize it and should another point it out, stubbornness would most likely refuse the truth. -The Blue Phase With over a year under her belt at Deus, there were a number of things Abbi hoped to have accomplished by this point in her life and Hunter career. None of them have come to fruition and, already prone to melancholy, she is nearly reveling in it. The friends she has made are good, she likes them, but she always thinks of everyone as merely putting up with her rather than honestly pleased to know her. Failed attempts at relationships have soured her optimism toward the idea of love, though she still hopes it will happen, and in turns berates herself for such silly wanting. A year is not a sufficient amount of time to build a whole new set of skills upon, but the fact that she has not exceeded her own impossibly high expectations is still cause for frustration. She should talk to someone about this, she should listen when someone else tells her that things will improve, that everyone feels this way, that she is good and special. But Abbi just wants to be so special that she cannot reconcile the good things she has and is insistent upon being down about it.
-Can’t Say No To This Cute Face Above all things, Abbi knows she is cute. And she knows if she wheedles and pleads and pokes her lip out and bats those big ol’ blues that she’ll get her way more often than not. She also knows that she’s smarter than most and could probably debate the shirt off someone’s back. While she’s not always inclined to do that, when Abbi wants something she will do whatever it is to get it, even down to calling out someone’s faults or deepest worries if it’ll make them more pliable to her wants. This also translates to a bit of meddling in other people’s affairs if she thinks she knows better than they do (of which she usually does).
Y1 + Organized & Accounted For With a penchant for collecting pens and notebooks, Abbi really just loves being in order. Life works easier when she knows exactly where she stands, even if its just with herself. It has become nearly ritualistic to keep a moleksine on her persons with various tallies of wins and losses, lists of goals, and records of her accomplishments or failures. While this could be taken as a stark reminder of one's lackluster performances, this strict keep up of the facts help push Abbi all the harder. They are a visual tracker of her continually rising progress. This is a very selfish form of optimism for she retains the hope of job well done for herself. She holds herself to a high personal standard, but it is a flexible one that has wiggle room for her sometimes less than stellar performances.
+ A Bottomless Pit of Useless Knowledge Did you want to know how many apples you can eat to consume just 200 calories? Or how big the moon is? Or maybe you really wanted to know why cats land on their feet? Maybe even which is healthier for you, skim or whole milk? Well, let Abbi tell you ALL THE THINGS. This little bit of random knowledge collecting stems from mild curiosity, but more the desire for honest applications of science to real life. Never the kind of girl to be terribly creative in the artistic sense, Abbi realized fairly early on that having an arsenal of facts ranging over various subjects will eventually play out in your favor. At least, it will always be a great conversation starter! And given how she is used to awkwardly staring at people, blurting out the odd mating habits of ducks makes for far less awkward situations.
+ Young At Heart Even though she did recently graduate from high school, Abbi is still very much a young girl. Typically the quiet girl, she has yet to break from her proverbial shell which is a situation ripe for all sorts of potential. Most situations are approached with a childlike amount of wonder, every new experience a chance to learn something, a chance to figure things out. This can play to her disadvantage because she is not wizened to the way of the world yet, but for now she does not worry. For now she is excited for a new start, she is happy to take on a new path that her peers from back home were not aware enough to tread. Somewhat like a puppy, Abbi is unaware of any dangers that could befall her. Instead, the world is full of possibilities and she just has to figure out which one she can call her own.
- Fake Geek Girl Spoiler Alert: She's not really a fake geek girl because obvi those don't exist, but Abbi is fearful of being labeled as such. With a deep seated love of those sparkly cartoon shows from Japan and the latest remaking of all those old sci-fi shows, she's still rather hesitant to talk about them for fear of judgement. To that extent she is hyper aware of what people might think. While she likes to pretend she doesn't care, she honestly does. Just getting Abbi to admit to it is rather difficult, of course. This particular vice manifests in a vaguely subconscious manner such as being careful of what she says in front of superiors or wearing what she has deemed appropriate length skirts. On the surface this isn't such a big deal since everyone is concerned with what others will think of them, but Abbi really lets it get to her. She will change her patterns if it means someone might like her, but more importantly, she will alter things about herself if they seem displeasing to the populace. This makes her wishy-washy in certain regards, and maybe there is room to change. But there is also room for it to get worse.
- Red Headed Step Child With two step siblings won thanks to her father's remarriage when she was just a wee thing, Abbi has always felt the outcast in her own family. Even when she got along well with her step-mother, she grew up alongside two very high standards. The elder sister was a pinnacle of scholarly perfection and the younger brother was a leader in athletics. With two such extremes of Good Kids, that left Abbi right in the middle. And because she has no obvious talents, she became resentful. That resentment turned to bitterness toward not only her family, but also those who outshine her. Despite what might happen, she will make up a million excuses as to why she did not do better. There was clear favoritism, they're popular of course everyone loves them and not her, it was all rigged from the beginning. While she won't be overt in her judgements, she will whisper her nasty reasoning's to anyone who will listen. Having yet to learn that such lies come with consequences, she freely indulges in such things.
- Sheltered From The Wolves Growing up in a small Connecticut town did not afford the teen many experiences outside the normal day to day fare that quickly becomes boring. While she was able to entertain herself with online pursuits and books under her parent's roof, now that she is older and, more or less, out on her own, Abbi is... Not prepared. One cannot prepare oneself for the myriad of adult experiences that are not the happy things movies make them out to be. And since Abbi cannot prepare herself when she so dearly loves to, it is likely she will react poorly. Stress, snappish attitudes and frantic, ill made decisions are her future undoubtedly, surely to be exacerbated by one particular entity...
Why did your human character choose to become a Hunter? When Abbi was very young, she was involved in an unfortunate accident with her mother. While her mother did not survive the encounter, the daughter did and carried with her the last fleeting breaths of the one person who could always keep her safe. Since then, and possibly agitated by growing up near a number of reportedly 'haunted houses', the girl was always acutely aware of something else there in the shadows. It became a nuisance when her father remarried and the two new siblings didn't see them either, and it became a burden when no one else would give her the time to even talk of them. But someone finally did. And it was only really one that was needed. When the time came for high school to end and a new path to begin, Abbi decided that helping fight the bad guys sounded much better than frat parties and study hall. She skipped out on college applications as well as what her parents might think of their suddenly erstwhile daughter, and decided that she could make a difference somewhere in the world. It only takes one, after all.

The Weapon

+ Vibrant & Bold Viveca has an opinion on everything and she is damn well going to tell you it whether you wanted to hear it or not. She laughs constantly, she revels in every victory and happily (and loudly) exclaims her favorite things. Once a particular version of will o'the wisp with murderous tendencies, she feels quite free in showcasing not only her literal brilliancy, but the one from her stunning personality. Stunning being a matter of opinion, but she'll make jokes until everyone agrees with her.
+ A Carefree Life Though details of her past are unclear (and better left that way), Viveca loves what she has now. Everything is turned into a positive for her through sheer power of will and she will not accept anything else but agreement. Once that is obtained, she is happy and could honestly care less, for the most part. When things are good, they are exceedingly easy. When things are bad, she would rather not speak of them.
- Snarling Wilderness While happiness is fun to play with, the faeu can snap at a moment's notice into a growling, angry thing. If something doesn't go her way she becomes a sputtering, cursing creature of spit and foulness. When confronted with a situation she does not want, the ghost will spew vile in the form of words and not care who she hurts in the process.
- A Spiteful Spirit Spite and cowardice drove the ghost to her current state as weapon, and because of that she holds onto the negative aspects of herself with an iron grip. If she has deemed someone as her's, they belong to no one else. Often this comes with the stipulation that they are not even their own and if they express such a thought, she will guilt them relentlessly. Whether it is an effective tactic or not is another matter, but she will try it all the same.
Weapon Ability Blade of the Faeu (The Bite) T3 Attack/ Support Once fully charged, the jagged teeth of Abbi's scythe begin to glow, all the better to snap at their opponent. When they make contact with FEAR, they happily zap the energy and collect it between the teeth before they are delivered back to Abbi in a series of little lights that look like tiny flecks of glowing, sparse snow that help heal her, just a bit.
Crystalline Healing Halation (The Chill) T2 Support The crystal portion of the scythe begins to pulse with light and any who touch it receive a physical boost. There is probably ethereal glitter involved.

General Room Description:
A simple, somewhat spartan room with lots of bright touches. A colorful floral comforter covers the bed, though a 3 foot tall white bear plush lays over that. Twoposters hang on the walls. Also tacked onto the wall is a hanger with a robin's egg blue skirt, the fabric imprinted with nearly white stains in shapes very similar to the pattern a granny might want on her couch.
