Abbi just did not know what do.
There were a lot of feelings the teen had regarding this particular situation, but after her initial wake up and realization of what had happened, she just wanted to move on. Not so much pretend it didn't happen as... Vehemently avoid the truth for a few days while she attempted to reconcile her feelings within herself.
Most of them honestly resolved around that little issue with Ripley and the whole Adoptive, Caring and Sweet Mother. That was... That was something Abbi preferred to actually pretend it hadn't existed entirely or else she would break down at random intervals during the day.
Already quite adept at ignoring the things in reality she did not quite enjoy, the girl was finding it increasingly difficult to apply her usual tactics to this situation. No friends? That's ok, video games were more fun! No idea what to do with one's future? Rereading your favorite book was a great choice! General anxiety woes? Sleep fixed everything!
But none of that worked. Not now.
The whole video games thing had not successfully made the transition over to Deus, and while Abbi had brought a number of books with her, they all couldn't hold her attention. And sleep was worst of all for that was how she had recalled that strange not-dream. Viveca had said it wasn't a dream, the weapon in Abbi's head constantly brought up how it had been real, it felt real, it was real only not anymore and that was... Slowly driving the teen up a wall.
In a fit of panic in the wee hours of morning light, Abbi slipped from her room with the idea that a good walk on the beach would set her straight. An honest dose of reality would fix her up and get her back to rights!
Too bad she was massively sleep deprived, dizzy from her worry and very cold so that she stumbled across the sand, too frozen to stick her arms out for balance when they were busy holding her warmth in... Stupid morning island chill...
