Pandora had taken to digging around the sand most days. Pretty much every venture ended in soap, but it was free soap, so it was still a pretty good (if sandy) deal.

Beach combing! A dangerous and solitary activity that didn't involve hunting people for mission reports. Even if he did only find soap and a seashell, it was something to do while listening to ocean waves and the gentle murmur of tentacle monsters in the distance.

Jordan liked walking on the beach anyway. Checking for items that had washed up was an extra perk. Next to a greenish rock with a hole in it, he spotted something in the process of being buried in the sand.

False alarm. What had looked like the corner of an object poking out of the sand had actually been a broken seashell. Jordan tossed it out into the waves. After a moment, he bent down to pick up the interesting rock and pocketed it before he resumed his walk.
