"If it gives me a stomachache I'll take another one." Solomon replied without missing a beat, shoving the bottle into his jacket pocket and shoving his hand into it shortly after as he eyed the dark haired man-child-cub-mowgli. Shrugging, he seemed to relax after a moment.

"Je ne parle pas français." he replied with a shrug, one of the only handful of things he knew in any other language. He could also tell a German he didn't speak German and so on and so forth. That was the rule - tell people you don't speak anything in any language so you're covered. With that out of the way, he took a look around the rather small space, eying several empty pods, then the one behind him, taking a moment to fish through it to pull out his black visor from it before he put it back on, pulling the hood of his jacket up once it was placed properly.

"Deus......" his lips curled on one side. "Can't say I know where that is." Solomon would confess his head hurt, if pressed, as he thought on it. He'd agreed to do something for..... right. There was magic healing stuff going on and he'd signed on board for that, hadn't he?

"...And are tentacles in the ocean a common thing here, or is that considered unusual?" He wasn't sure, and probably wouldn't be sure for a good, long while. "As for showering in the dark...I'm sure you've seen how blind I am." Which meant he'd probably be okay, after all, dark was only a couple shades off from blurry.

Room 171. Ripley repeated mentally, his eyes downcast. Well, that seemed as good a number as any for his new home. Kind of symmetrical in a strange way, at least. "I would appreciate the help, thank you." His gratitude was genuine as he wandered after Ian on stiff, shaking legs.

A smirk showed on the hunter's face when the other answered him in quick time, eyebrows raising a little. This was a quick one - he'd have to choose his words (even more so than he already had to.)

Letting the chair thump back on it's four legs again, he stood to his full (and yet short) stature, looking the man over again. He couldn't really tell what would happen if someone fell out and they were incomplete. On his watch.

"Fair Enough. I am not t'at good at English, sorry." He admitted, before lifting his arms a little as if to be like 'tada!' "This is Deus - home of the Hunters - people come 'ere after they accept le offer to join. There's .. stuff in between, s'all jumbled usually."

Smooth.

Shut up Justice. He quipped up, with very little malice, as he looked over the information in front of him on the clipboard, giving the newly awoken sleeping beauty over.

"Solomon, oui? Mon nom est Dorian - most people call me Dory. I am sorry if I do not say words right. I am learning." He admitted.
PostPosted: Fri Aug 30, 2013 7:54 pm

Dory likely looked even shorter next to Solomon. Then again, Solomon only looked tall next to Dory because he was tall and thin.

"Hunters n's**t, huh? Don't remember signing on for that all much..." he admitted, scratching his neck idly. "I mean I pretty much am here for the free healthcare." Solomon added in an attempt to be funny - but it was also the truth. Just thinking about it made his knee hurt. His hand came out of his pocket with the bottle again before he put it back away, frowning. It was much harder to put it away than to just feed the need. But he had just fed the need.

Sometimes he won, sometimes he lost, though.

Looking over Dory's shoulder to read the clipboard he nodded. "Yeah, tha's me." he confirmed. "And hey, I don't french right so that makes two of us not talkin' right. Don't worry about it, I can read the jist at least, bro."

Oh, good. He seemed like a pretty chill guy about the whole of it.

Turning the clipboard towards the taller man, he gave him a little shrug, there had been a small hint of amusement on the usually frowny-boy's face when Solomon admitted he was here for the healthcare, giving him a short shrug.

"It's got it's perks. You get to fight monsters and live pretty . . . ehhhnn . . . comfortable." He admitted, before catching sight of the little bottle again, wondering what the man's reason for the addiction was. He couldn't talk, he had a nicotine addiction.

"You get a dorm, but, we 'ave a . . . big problem au moment, so we are kind of without power. Best to get your bonded weapon while we cannot do much. Apparently you live next to me, so I mean, I'm always around to answer questions." He answered, pointing to the little 193 on the page, which was one number off from his 191 he had been accustomed too.

"Get a pretty nice coat too."
PostPosted: Fri Aug 30, 2013 8:22 pm

"So basically I signed up to be a power ranger or somethin'?" Only with a cooler looking base, it seemed. Except it seemed like everybody was just... y'know..chilling in pods right now. Solomon knocked on the front of one of them before looking back to the clipboard that Dory was showing him.

"Bonded weapon? Where d'I go to get that?" he asked as he made a note of the room number, tapping his chin thoughtfully as he did so.

"Weapons and uniforms. Definitely power ranger s**t."

It must've been a popular day for trainee's to awake. Or maybe they needed more people mointering the pod room because Nevada had been sent down there. And not just Nevada but her roommate Stormy as well. Of course she had the girl's arm laced through hers until they hit the room, nodding to any other hunters around.

"I heard we've had like 3 or 4 new Trainee's popping up a week. I wonder if the tear had anything to do with it?" Nevada hummed thoughtfully.

"Think we might get one today Pet?"

Not that she didn't want to not get a Trainee, but she always wondered what would happen if a trainee woke to a hunter with one eye looking at them. Kind of like, Hey this is the bad part of the job so....

"Really? Whoa . . ." Stormy wasn't sure if that was good or bad news honestly, because what if the Tear had done something to them too somehow? Or the power outage, backup systems or not . . . She worried after the hatchlings' well being.

But she would've pointed out to Nevada that she woke up to Ofelia, who also had one eye! And look how she turned out!

"When I go on pod duty, I like to sing to them sometimes," Stormy told her as a matter of factly, wiping a little sweat from her lip. "That's something nice to wake up to, right? Although I'm running out of song selections . . . I don't want them to be bored or anything . . ."

It'd been a long while or... at least if felt like it, and still, the sound of his brother's voice was unmistakable. She was more worried over the fact he sounded like he'd just seen a ghost (ironic, that), than over the fact she had memory pools she couldn't quite fill in yet. At the very least, however, rational parts of her mind were scrambling to point out that she was getting better; felt better (or at least didn't feel like she was going to dry heave her stomach out of her mouth) the more the seconds ticked by. That was something at least.

"Bix?"

Okay, okay, wait, no. Baby steps, she decided promptly as she nodded at the boy, whom had pretty much flinched away from her upon her brother's entrance. She reached out with a hand, the fingers splashed against the surface of the pod, her pod, she thought, and then, pushed herself up to a standing position.

Nausea was swiftly receding until it was but a trace of it's initial, overwhelming feel, and she was slowly adjusting to both the light and the intensity of the smells and sounds around her, "How long?" she tried again, "How long was I in that thing?" her head finally lifted, and she looked straight at her brother, pressed up against the wall for support, mirror images of each other, both seeking support at the same time, albeit for different reasons, "My clothes feel small," it came out as a bit of a pitiful whine, as if out of everything that was going on... out of everything she was experiencing, it was that small, simple thought that was going to send her over the edge and into tears.

Perhaps it was the subconscious thought that if her clothes felt small... it'd meant she'd grown, and if she'd grown, it meant a substantial amount of time had passed since she'd put them on.

"I'm hungry," she all but sniffled, and then as an afterthought, "Also very confused."

It was hard to breathe.

The air inside the pod room suddenly felt thicker than normal, Gale still pressed up against the wall in an effort to keep himself vertical. Inside of his head, Jinhai was a silent but albeit very present force, as though both he and the dragon were holding their breath.

It was not possible but it was here. She was here. Gale looked to Bix as though his best mate could possibly explain what had just happened, why, after two and a half years, Leslie had awoken from her pod.

Two and a half years felt like a lifetime.

Slowly Gale pushed himself away from the wall. His legs felt shaky, unsteady, as though they weren't enough to support him. Still, he stood where he was and stared at her, at the mirror image of himself (minus the white streaks in his hair that he'd put as an homage to Bix all those months ago). But other than that she looked exactly the same.

Thinner. A bit taller. Her face paler. She had grown in the pod, even though it had seemed as though she were dead.

Gale felt his heart somewhere in his throat.

"Two years," he said, and his voice sounded hoarse, almost cracking. "You've been asleep almost two and a half years."

Though normally a late sleeper, there is the distinct feeling upon waking up of being unusually late today.

Consciousness comes slowly, terribly slowly similar to how one wakes from an improper nap that will leave the sleeper feeling like death for the rest of the day. But the very first thing that Abbi realizes upon fluttering her eyelashes open, besides the fact that she is actually awake, is that her left arm is completely numb. During her slumber she has slid to one side of the pod, her left hand curled tight against her as though she was holding something, a fact she is aware of now that she tries to push herself up into a more stable standing position and finds a terrible shooting sensation in her arm. With a squeak she goes totally upright, stumbling a little until she realizes she is in a very small space and people don't usually sleep in things like this what is going onnnn
With a hissing noise the front of the small space (Its a pod, she tells herself, just a human sized little pea pod) pops open and the young girl finds herself clumsily trying to regain motion in her legs. Voices filter through as she stumbles forward, her right hand desperately trying to work blood back into her fingertips without actually moving her left hand because it hurts way, way too bad. With another small, high pitched whine, Abbi stood there in front of her pod, bouncing on the balls of her feet and trying to weather this little moment of discomfort caused by accidentally squishing her own arm against the wall.

Instead she saw the two girls and gave them a rather pitiful look.
"I think a song would be really nice..."

Stormy, if Nevada heard of you waking to Ofelia, she would give you a considering look at how well you turned out. If by seeing the eye patch of Ofelia's somehow triggered a sort of 'I should find the worse ways to die/hurt/damage Myself' for Stormy, then Nevada was defenitly reconsidering her duties in the pod room.

"Should we choose a Disney song?" Nevada laughed, surprised that Stormy of all people would run out of things to sing. Her gaze landed on a empty pod, releasing the girl to hurry over to it. When the voice spoke, presumably from the pod's once owner, Nevada jumped and looked over at a petite ginger girl.

"Oh darling if you want us to sing, you should ask Stormy. I'm tone deaf like a braying donkey." She made her way slowly over to the girl who was rubbing her arm on the wall. Nevada was assuming it was cause it was asleep.

"Here don't do that, Let me." She pulled the arm away and started to work the sleeping muscles. "Not the best way to wake up Darling." Nevada focused on the arm and getting its nerves to lessen the needle pain.

She'd let Stormy introduce them after all. Maybe she would sing it. She wanted to see this too okay.

Nevada got a look.

"Of course we should pick a Disney song." Was that even a question?

But before they could start figuring what to sing, a pod activated. Stormy jumped a bit at the hiss and made her way over as well, snagging the clipboard to see who it was. A few flickering glances between the pod number and the list aaaand--"Abbi . . . Killian, right? Hi there!" she chirped with a bright smile. "Let's see, uh . . ."

Oh! Here, let's lighten her spirits some! Thus did Stormy begin to twirl around the pair as she sang.

"Salagadoola mechicka boola bibbidi-bobbidi-boo
Put 'em together and what have you got
bibbidi-bobbidi-boo
Salagadoola mechicka boola bibbidi-bobbidi-boo
It'll do magic believe it or not

[ let's time screw this some more ]

The first thing he felt was box-like and the color white, which made him question, as his senses began to stir, if he had hit his head hard enough to mix them up. Maybe evolution had decided to kick him in the nuts once more, who knew?

The sharp hiss in Jack's ear made him cringe inwardly, but he found there was very little room (if any at all) to really maneuver. Alright then. He attempted to shift his legs but found them also confined. Alright then. The door was moving too slowly for his tastes, and he would have loved nothing more than to try and kick it out, but his limbs were too compact in this holding cell . . . pod . . . structure. Eventually it lifted enough that, with a grunt and some further difficulty, he pushed himself out.

Thus did the newly awakened Jack become a sprawl of long legs sliding out, followed by long arms, followed by, "Jesus ********> (thunk) the rest of the body, pins and needles and numbness in far too many places.

Ami stared at the new figure with the same morose look she gave every hunter. It was bored, unimpressed. Even with this hunter's borderline ridiculous height, she wasn't intimidated. Nothing intimidated her on this island anymore. Except maybe Allan.

"What a graceful entrance," she commented, looking at her little clipboard. "Nice to meet you, Mr. Hawtho-" Ami coughed, having a minor giddy stutter of her heart. "Ah- Mr. Hawthorn."

Oh my god he had the most wonderful last name. Sure it was a letter off but- "I'd commend you not to curse anymore for the moment, it makes the introduction easier."
