Moon Hunter PRINCESS ISLAND General Information Maintaining a superior defense is the pride of the Moon Division, defending even at the expense of attacking. However, this can be hard, especially for trainees who just got new magic weapons full of glowing and powers. Thus the Princess Island. At the center of the island sits a princess who will do absolutely nothing to protect herself, and it's up to you to build defenses that will withstand shadowling attacks so she she doesn't die in a horribly realistic manner.
There's four main paths for shadowling's to travel through, and you have 3 types of building materials to create your defenses from: straw bales, wood, and bricks. The sturdier the material, the sturdier the barrier, but the fewer you can build in the allotted time. After a set amount of time, the princess will crush a pumpkin pill, attracting varying amounts of lurking shadowlings. You get to watch helplessly from the observation station, without getting to attack yourself.
These creature are extremely weak and ill formed, coming up against a solid defense they will disperse, but in turn they also weaken said defense. When a defense goes down, they go right to the princess and attack her. Should she survive the wave, you get to go back down, rebuild, and do it again.
If you fail: the princess has died, horribly, and you've wasted a lot of time on this only to look fairly incapable. All things considered? Most pleasant course to fail.
If you win: peen points and bragging rights go to those with the healthiest princess and lasted through the most attack waves. If you choose to go beyond 5 rounds, switch the enemy dice roll to 4 d20s.
Mechanics Your princess has 20 hp First, roll the strength of you defense, using the dice for whichever building type you choose.
Brick: 4 d12 Wood: 8 d6 Hay bales: 12 d4
The order of the die determine the HP for each barrier location. For example, with bricks, rolling 5/6/8/1, would mean that path 1 has 5 HP, path 2 has 6 HP and so on. With a wood roll of 3/3/3/1/2/5/5/2, the first 2 dice would equal the amount of the first path. Brick would be the least math-y of the building materials (you lazy asses.) Roll 4 d12 for the attacking forces. Once again the order of the dice correspond with the path being affected. Then do the math to determine the status of your defenses and princess. Example: My defenses are 5/6/8/10 The attackers are 3/7/3/8
The result defenses are 2/-1/5/2 Negative numbers are taken off the princesses HP, leaving her at 19 HP. Go back and rebuild your defenses in the same manner as before, you'll be building on top of old defenses so you add the new defense HP to the remaining defense HP. Negative numbers = 0 HP for the defense, not negative HP. Minimum rounds to complete the course is 3
Bonus Mechanics Their defense expertise allows them to build slightly sturdier barriers. This applies to all paths that start at 0 hp. They do not stack. So if you are re-building on a barrier that lasted from an existing round, this bonus does not apply, as it is already still in effect.
Trainees: 0 hp bonus Moon Trainees: +1 hp bonus to each path Hunters: +1 hp to each path Moon Hunters: + 2 hp to each path

It had been a full week, plenty of time to gather one's thoughts and collective bundles of emotion and well being, before Abbi decided she ought to get to work. Maybe it was a poor bit of work as she really shouldn't meddle in other people's lives, but if she were to amend her own fretful state, then it couldn't hurt to help another's. nyxtsuki moon Text to NoemichiMeet me at the training fields in 30 mins! *7*/// Text to Noemichi Like unless you're busy... Then I give you 45 minutes ;> That was a perfect amount of time right? Abbi thought so and thus arrived at the fields a full fifteen minutes early, content to throw herself down onto the ground and stick both her legs straight out in front of her in some sort of lazy stretch. Waiting for Noemi wasn't a problem, she had an awful lot to think about. Which meant she was going to day dream and drift off into her own little world for however long it took her ginger friend to arrive.

Noemi was in fact, NOT VERY BUSY. Her Infirmary duties had ended for the day, and she was sent on her way so she didn't hover over patients and other nurses.
Because she was the type to hover uncomfortably.
She arrived with a shy wave to Abbi. "H...Hi you." She came up really close and opened her arms a little, "This is where we hug si?"

It was the odd crunching sound of grass that filtered through the girl's meandering of her mind, an uncommon enough sound that she stirred in her spot. A twist of shoulders and head showed her Noemi approaching and Abbi was quick on her feet, even if she was a bit wobbly and squirmy from having sat so absolutely still for so long. She laughed at the phrase, for it felt a very modern thing to say and was proud that Noemi was picking up colloquialisms so quickly. It was a surprise, however, to be asked for a hug. Sure they had hugged during the infection but it felt more like friends now than it had then. "Totally!" Chirped Abbi as she hopped the distance between them to enfold her fellow ginger. "You're allowed to say no, but I was thinking about how you thought you were bad at field work... Maybe you're not bad, you're just good in different areas? Ya dig? "

Noemi squeaked as she caught the other redhead before smiling, "ah, yes, Shu says...she says hugs are good for portraying feelings! And to say I like you. So, I thought, i must tell you I like you with a hug." Noemi flushed, "You...you were good to me during mission, and I am thankful."
Even if the mission managed to be a mess.
"Ah? Like defending and healing?" Noemi blinked pulling back, "Evan and Stormy says I should um...practicing moon. I am...not to be a sun." At least thats what Evan said. "Why would I say no?"

At first Abbi wants to poke fun at Noemi for listening to Shu, not because she's wrong, but for taking it solely at face value. But the teen doesn't, she holds back and smiles instead when she is thanked. A freckled hand finds Noemi's to give a gentle squeeze to, her smile a bit lopsided but genuine still the same. "I'm always here for ya. You're like... My Sailor Mercury. She's kinda skittish, but she's really smart and really sweet." Maybe Noemi didn't catch that reference, but Abbi assumed she would at least be able to glean the compliment from it. "Evan and Stormy say this! Evan and Stormy say that!" Now she teases her friend, giving her a quick, if gentle, elbow in the ribs as she rushes forward toward the training entrance. "I think Noemi needs to say what she wants to do." But really, Abbi was still giving her advice. That was most likely what Stormy and whoever Evan was were doing, but there was something different about advice and it starting to sound like orders. "Well that's what I mean! If you don't want to do training today... Or a different kind... Tell me! Just say no! But if you want to, then we'll do it!"Careful to put emphasis on this, Abbi whirled back to face her friend. "Its all your choice!"

"S..Sailor Mercury?" Noemi did gleam a bit, because she was now not just the blue ranger, but she was a Sailor...Mercury of some sorts! it must be a show like Milo watched, "Is this like show Milo watches? Power rangers? Except um...Sailors?" and by sailors, she was thinking of the ones that were on ships.
"B...But Evan and Stormy..." Noemi flushed, "I do..I don't mean for them to sound bad, They are good people." She nodded, "they are good hunters." And then she flushed.
"I'd...I'd like to do a training course with you Abbi!" Noemi nodded, "I'd like to do the moon course! I want to learn more, all of the things."

A giggle and an encouraging clap of her hands were Abbi's immediate reply. "Close! Really close! Its not exactly what Milo watches, its called Sailor Moon, but it does ...kind of... Have the same elements! Team work, magical transformations, though a bit sparklier and girlier. There's also bad guys to fight and special moves... But definitely... Its more for girls. Now that Power Rangers isn't just..." The realization that the showing would be better than the telling, Abbi laughed again and linked her arm with Noemi's. "Here's what. We do this mission. We get the win. Bang, boom, we find a computer we can watch some Sailor Moon on, okie-dokie?" Both arms rose in the air and Abbi cheered loudly, quick to give Noemi another hug before she linked their arms again and began toward the training field proper this time. "Naw, its all good. I know Stormy is great and I-D-K this Evan guy but if you're his friend, I'm sure he's fine too. Ya just... I just don't want you to think bad of yourself, si?" Wait, maybe she'd used that 'si' wrong. "You're still new! You got a lot of things to learn yet and I don't want them to... Take away your chances by making you think you can't do something just cause you, yanno, maybe didn't succeed super awesome the first time." All of this was easy to say when it was directed toward someone other than Abbi. The training room for the Moon division was right up ahead, of which Abbi grabbed the door to open for them both, ushering Noemi in first.
