Otto watched from above. A perch to rule over all perches. He sat hunched on a looming bookshelf high above the floor in a common room between the dorms.

He was not happy. He glared at all who passed.

Even at Abbi.

At eleven in the morning, Finn had just gotten back into his room after being up for several hours, training, patrolling, and making a stop at the library to brush up on some of his reading for the afternoon. It had completely slipped his mind that it was Valentine's Day, which was fine because even if he had remembered, he wouldn't have bothered to do anything super special for it anyways. If Fini wanted to be showered in gifts and affection, then she really probably should have hooked up with somebody else. Still, it was a great excuse to hook up for the night and do other things....especially since Finn had been rather distant lately and should probably make things up to her at some point.

As soon as he was back in his room, he made a beeline for his dresser, pulling it open and pulling out a pack of smokes, lighting up before heading to the mirror on the nearby wall, staring at himself with one single brown eye before reaching up with his free hand to lift the eye patch he wore, pulling it off over his head and tracing over the scars around his eye socket with a single finger, staring at what remained.

And then he was no longer staring at anything but darkness as his world shrunk around him in a flash of blue, leaving him blanketed in his hunter jacket and clothing.

After struggling his way out, ears flattened back on his head, Finn didn't even have time to wonder at what the ******** just happened, because he then discovered that his still lit cigarette was lying on the floor, not only wasting away (oh dear god noooooo), but also burning and smoldering against the floor.

With much spitting and hissing (what the helllll) and jumping around with his tail poofed out (******** god damnit why did he have a tail??) , he was able to bat at the cigarette a few times with his paws (PAWS????), and somehow managed to put it out without destroying more of his room, or his things, in the process.

And then he simply slumped over backwards onto his floor. Finn cat was definitely unimpressed.

After spending several minutes like this, the half blind cat rolled back to his feet and made his way over to the door. It was partially ajar, having not quite clicked back into place, and he began to paw at it, lightly at first, and then much more frantically, paws often sliding beneath the door itself as he tried to hook his claws into it and pull it open. When that failed to offer much result, he began pushing his nose against what small opening there was, eventually able to squeeze himself through.

And then he let out a long, angry yowl, that in cat speak basically meant. <******** everything.>

He had been so busy focusing on the unknown orange kitten that he didn't even see the silver one approach him until it was too late. The kitten went down like a tiny weight, trying in vain to save his fall with limbs that he could barely control all at the same time. He tried his best to turn the pin in his favour, twisting and flailing until he was able to bat at the creature that had pinned him, pawing at her belly with his back legs in an attempt to push her away.

The human part of him wanted freedom, but his kitten instincts screamed that this was too fun and should never end ever.

< What is-- > Ripley's fluffy head leaned way back until his forehead was on the ground, catching an upside down glimpse at a blonde kitten with two different coloured eyes. He knew that voice! He celebrated knowing by play-biting on the silver kitten's ear, still in full-blown play fight mode.

< Wait...Finn? > If that one was Finn, then that meant... Wide amber eyes stared at the silver kitten he was biting, and then over at the orange one that had bounded closer to his door. Now that he thought about it he could see who they were, and it was obvious. He started to purr, now that he recognized his friends. Much to his embarrassment, anyway.

< So...we're...all kittens now? >

Initially she was not swayed by the other kitten beginning to arch its back, but when the tail fluffed up she ollied out pretty hard. With a dramatic roll to one side, Abbi turned from charging kitten to bouncing pile of fluff that rolled into the wall. Scattered and confused she sat up, looked around and saw... More kittens!
WE'RE CUTE> Well, in her case cuter but she wasn't going to bother with mentioning that since she noticed a kitten further down the hall with two colored eyes. That could only mean one person:
Once again the little orange tornado was off, bounding toward the cat and only stopping when she was close to him. One paw lifted, flexed its claws out and then back in, before it bopped him on the nose. With a mewl she turned tail and raced off toward the pile of other kittens, skidding to a stop right before she collided with them.

purring??> That was too cute, she needed to really hear that and thus shoved herself between the two, momentarily distracted by someone's tail that she needed to n** at.
The other kitten that suddenly attacked only caused Abbi-kitten to squeak and scatter, racing full force into the wall before she bounced off it and fell to the ground with a pathetic mew.

She pawed and nipped and play fought with Ripples with a little hiss here and there. Until something else was colliding into them and making more of a fuss. Fini-kitten mewled and attempted to get up. Except she was smushed. And it failed. And something nipped her tail.

< WHO BIT MY TAIL?! > They would get kitty doom.

< And you totally are! > Fini argued with a kitty snicker, wiggling and clawing around to pull herself out of the kitten pile. < Hiiiii Abbi~ > Was it possible the teen had more energy then before now?

Wait. She knew that voice anywhere.

In a not so graceful manner, Fini twisted (her back legs were still caught in the kitten pile as Abbi bounced off a wall), her head to look at the kitten with different colored eyes. And then the silver feline wriggled free and shot towards him, skidding a bit on the floor and careening into Finn. Who she batted at playfully while laying on her back.

Otto hissed at them all, hopping backward. Why he'd given in to such a dumb feeling he wasn't sure. Dive bombing them had been fun though. He was tempted to bite at Ripley's bushy tail when something flew by.

A... a napkin? Tissue paper... lightly blowing though the hall...way....

Otto kitten dashed after it in a mad scramble of limbs.

Not even this strange 'kitten speak' they could do masked Finn's apparent mood. Fini!kitten sighed, tail whipping about as her paw reached up to paw at one of his ears. A very daring kitten she was.

< Should I be surprised? > The silver menace asked him, rolling onto her belly. And then the impulse to rub up against him and purr won over and Finn had a snuggly kitten buddy. Abbi totally had the right ide-

And there went the orange demon with a smushed face. Fini!kitten was suddenly alert, wide blue eyes peeking over Finn!kitten at Otto.

Did she chase? Or continue to attempt the cuddling thing?

Within seconds she was bonding over Finn - with a tail whack to the face, whoops! - and chased after Otto... and the Thing. There was a Thing!
