There were days, not very many any more since she had begun to find herself in want of company, when Abbi wanted to avoid people. For all her attempts at friendship, she considered herself an introvert on most days and really never thought herself anything else, even when she went about throwing parties and being a hostess when no one had asked her for either of those things. It all felt very unnatural and in an effort to shed the feel of it, the teen sought out one person who she knew wouldn't think a single good thing about her and would thus bring her back to feeling normal. That was all a bit melancholic and definitely very bad for her general well being, but well, Abbi just couldn't bring herself to care. Even when Viveca threatened migraines for a week straight, the girl continued to ignore her and skipped her way down to the basement. At least, she had intended to make it all the way down to the basement with an easy lope, but found herself getting a bit too relaxed on her way down. Somehow the teen snagged a foot on a stair and tripped a bit, quick to clutch at the railing for support. A small laugh left her as she carefully made her way down the others, idly remarking out loud to her weapon that she should be more careful or else she would really hurt herself! And how funny that would be, to be on a dangerous island with scary spookies to hunt and she fell down a flight of stairs and got hurt! All the rest of the way down she laughed and only stopped when her ankle gave out on the landing and Abbi tumbled down to the floor with a loud squeal and very large 'OOMPH'. Grace, thy name was Abbi Killian.

Noemi had been on her way to the kitchens, perhaps to scrounge up a thankful gift to her neighbor Tobias for his dutiful protection during a box episode. And by working her way up, she was avoiding and all people there, which luckily wasn't hard in the basement...it seemed only Milo had his door open and well...that wasn't by choice.
She quickly made her way to the stairs...only to hear a couple of crashes down...
She moved to the side as a body came flying down, pressing herself to the wall.
Someone just came flying down stairs, who did this. Who went flying down stairs!?!? She could've been mauled, tackled, hurt. She clutched a hand to her chest as if to ease the timid fearful heart pounding.
Oh right yes. She should help...
She just kind of stood there recovering from her startledness instead.

For a good long while Abbi just laid at the foot of the stairs, her head down against the floor as she considered her lot in life. What terrible thing had she done to befall such misfortune? What awful wrong had she left unrighted that would forever haunt her life like this? What insurmountable evil had she committed that she was cursed to this fate? A helpful noise in her head said she was being overdramatic, but look Viveca. You never fell down a flight of stairs. "You were a ghost. Ghost don't fall down the stairs." Abbi sighed, her phrase half mumbled against the floor. Maybe she would just go back upstairs and not see Leslie today, mostly because she was feeling so embarrassed about having fallen down the stairs. "Set the counter back to 0 on Days Since Abbi Fell Down The Stairs." She told herself in a voice full to the brim of mourning as she pushed herself up onto her knees. A sigh left her, one hand moved up to push at the little red mark sure to appear on her forehead and Abbi would have stood had she not noticed the person pressed against the wall. Oh glob someone had seen her fall.As though it would make a difference, the teen went rigid, hands clasped to her chest, her whole body still. It very much appeared the mentality of 'if I'm still they won't see me'. That was perhaps not the best mode of action given she was just sitting at the bottom of the stairs, but whatever. She had been startled! Cut her some slack!

The girl was either talking to herself or her weapon and all Noemi could think was:
Stranger Danger
She remained pressed against the wall, staring at Abbi.
Your move Abbi...your move.
Mel chuckled softly. Her hunter...such a fearful little thing.

When the other girl didn't move, but stood there and stared, Abbi began to fear the worst. Her fall had been worse than she'd expected, the girl had seen it, she was judging her so hard, maybe Abbi was bleeding?! A frantic hand smushed itself up against her forehead to the place under her bangs that still ached a little, but when a quick swipe produced nothing but a clean palm, then what? Why was she staring? Maybe... Maybe the girl hadn't seen! Maybe she was like... Caught in a really good day dream! One that had just so happened to be focused on the same area where the teen had fallen down the steps. Maybe she hadn't noticed at all! Quick to scramble to her feet and do her best to avoid eye contact, Abbi brushed off her knees and tried very hard not to look at the other girl. After inspecting the wall and ceiling for all of two seconds, she failed and stared right back at the girl.

Finally, at one point, Noemi's form moved and she stepped forward.
"Are you...Okay?" the smaller girl mumbled.
"Sorry...Are you okay?" She answered a bit louder.

The initial step forward, however nonthreatening especially from such an equally small girl, still made Abbi hop once into the air. Realization that she was being silly made her flush and she stuck a hand into the air, awkwardly waved it a few times and promptly dropped it. "U-um I didn't quite... Catch that err--" It maybe sounded like... Well it didn't sound much like anything beyond some mumbles. But the girl spoke again and Abbi blinked twice before she laughed, perhaps louder than she ought. "O-oh! Oh n-no, its fine! Yeah I'm... I'm great!" Nervousness made her wave her hand again. "I uh... I fall down the stairs all the time, yanno. Back home I did... Not so much anymore? I mean... Gotta, yanno, set the counter back since I just... Did fall down the stairs... Um..." This was embarrassing could she leave now? A mental kick very firmly said no, so the teen sucked it up and smiled despite her still red face. "Hi! B-T-W! I'm um... I'm Abbi Killian and I promise I don't fall down the stairs too much." Even though she just said she did. Abbi wat r u doin

It was hard not be startled again, in reaction to Abbi being startled by her moving first. Noemi's hand awkwardly raised in a mirror like motion. Oh hey they were doing a thing!!
The other girl started to mumble, making Noemi wonder if perhaps...again she was talking to her weapon.
Through all the rambling and stuff, Noemi could make out that the girl was okay. Which was good. "B...T...W?" Noemi blinked. Everyone spoke so weirdly on the Island, perhaps she should study the languages here. "My name is Noemi...My last name is super long." She struggled, "My family would call me..Mimi." Not that everyone did that but...it was better then people trying to pronounce her name in the first place. "I am...relieved you don't fall down stairs often?" She offered unhelpfully..."Do you live here in the basements too?"

Now she was being mimicked? O-ok? Confused and not sure if she should test out that whole being out going thing, Abbi just stood there and wrung her hands together lightly. "BTW? 'By the way'?" No one had ever questioned what her random phrases meant, let along asked her to spell out the acronyms she had acquired from all her time on the internet. It was odd, to say the least, but the other girl was so cute but so shy, it wasn't such a big deal. Maybe she'd just never saw the commercials about text speak? "N-Noemi? That's such a cute name! Mimi? Is that um... I mean... Er..." Abbi tried to smile and took a breath instead. A hand tapped lightly at the curve of her jaw before she spoke again. "Your family called you that, but is that what... Yanno... You want other people to call you? Names are like... Special and stuff, so I don't... Want to call you something you don't like... Yanno?" Names were funny, after all. "Oh! Uh no I don't. I like up... In 174. But I was coming to visit a friend..." She bunny eared 'friend' with her fingers. "I can't really call him that, not really but uh... SO! Are you new?"

"BTW? It...Means by the way?" Noemi had no idea, text lingo Abbi, she no speaking the Text lingo. "I'm sorry, is...is new way of English?" She had learned english from her Irish papi. but was more comfortable if she could, speaking in Spanish.
"I only know my family." She nodded, "So I don't mind if you call me that? Noemi is also easy to say." She blinked, "Uhn...It's okay! Anything you like is fine! Please don't trouble yourself over it!"
She blinked again, "Oh! It must be nice in teh dorms upstairs? You guys have lights up there? Ah yes! I am new. Part of the mist division!"

Abbi nodded quickly, a few times just to make sure the other girl was very clear on the matter before she tilted her head to one side, a small smile starting to form. "Yeah, kinda... Its like... Text speak, like when you text someone a lot on your phone? And instead of typing the whole thing out, you... Kinda shorten it! To just acronyms-- Uh, to letters! Like... O-M-G is 'oh my god' and L-O-L is "laugh out loud"... Except like, most people don't really laugh out loud when they type lol." That one was more an acknowledgement of appreciated humor than honestly saying what the speaker had just done. "I'm guessing English isn't your first language then?" That or this girl was reaaaalllyyy behind the times. Not that it was impossible, since some of the older people the girl talked to didn't get her funny phrases either. Ooooohhhhh oh ok, so this girl was super sheltered! That explained so much! "HMMMM. Both are really cute names so I guess I'll start with Noemi and see how that goes." Abbi laughed and clapped her hands together a few times, a symbol of her own job well done. She pointed to the ceiling a moment later. "Wait do you guys not have lights down here? OH MY GOSH THAT'S TERRIBLE!" Her hands slapped against her face in worry. "How do you see at night!? Oh gosh, that's..." Both hands came down to clutch at her heart, her shoulders set. "I know we just met but... If the basement doesn't have lights, you can't live like that! If you need a place with lights to stay... You can share my room!"Nyxtsuki Moon Hi my name is Aye and I'm dumb and don't tag things forever I'm sorry please still love me unu
