Skin Tone: Silver Shifter skin with darker gray markings from his Alkidike Mother. He has a small amount of blue gems scattered about as on his sides and one cheek.

Eye Color: Ri has heterochromia which has give him one black eye like his mother and a blue eye like what his father used to have.

Hair Color: Black, done up in a pretty style for him by his mother.

Likes: Quiet time, flowers of all sorts, walking and talking with his mother, the ring that she gave him when he became a prentice, stories about his father, and the cool moonlight.

Dislikes: People that act coldly toward him due to his breeding, too much bloodshed, being bored, and being teased.

ASPIRATIONS/PERSONALITY/BIO

Aspirations: Rishima is lost as to what he should be doing with his life, he knows that among the Alkidike there are only two paths to follow, both of them the path of a warrior. As for what the Shifters might be able to do... well, he has no idea. His mother isn't sharing such information so as it stands the boy is likely to follow one of the paths of his Alkidike brethren or the other.

Personality: Rishima is the sort that is quietly observant and extremely curious, likely overly so. He is the sort that, if he spotted any from any tribe other then the Alkidike that he is used too that he would be prone to following them in the shadows to try to get a better look at them, learn about them, etc. His curiosity stems from knowing full well that he is different from his mother but having nothing of his father to remember the man by other then some of his traits and a piece of jewelry that was important to the man, a family heirloom that he gave to his Alkidike mate when they became serious. He wants nothing more then to learn more about his father's people but his mother isn't too keen on letting him go out to find the Shifters, afraid that he wouldn't return just as his father didn't return.

He finds himself often smothered by her attempts to keep him safe as well as her attempts to help him better fit in among the other Alkidike even though he knows that he only seems to stand out more the more she tries. At present Rishima is trying his best to figure out where he wishes to go in life, what path to follow, as well as who he is. His greatest wish is to sneak out of the village and get to stretch his legs, something his mother isn't making all that easy for him.

Bio: Rishima's birth seems as though it was both a blessing and curse upon his mother who, not long after receiving the lotus from Aisha, lost the man that she loved. The lotus was half his, as such the little one that came from it was as well and much to the shock of his mother the youngling she was given turned out to be a baby boy who looked strikingly like his father but with some traits that were very much hers like his antennae, one all black eye, and the markings on his body. Uncertain of what it was that she should do with a male child among her all females sisters the woman decided to raise him as though he were a girl. It worked for a time but it wasn't something that could be hidden forever, especially given that he started to develop far differently as he got older. Regardless of this he still wears female garb, part of an attempt to fit in, though he wonders at times if it helps or if helps to separate him from the others even more to continue on in what could be seen as a deceptive manner.

A bit of an outcast Rishima has no close friends as of yet but means to do his best to try to make them, as well as figure out what it is that he should do with his life now that he is a prentice, all while trying to keep his overly protective mother appeased. It's a bit of a balancing act but he is doing all that he can at the moment, all while wishing that his father was still around. He is quite certain that things might have gone differently if the man were around, not to mention that he would at least know something about his Shifter heritage, something that his mother seems loathe to teach him about. He is being raised as an Alkidike after all, so she doesn't seem to understand why he should care about a tribe that is, as a whole, the enemy.

~ Rishima as a young prentice, a bit on the weak side, oblivious as well, but filled to the brim with a desire to learn. He wants to be more then just a child who is constantly protected by his mother, wants to go out into the world and learn how to become... someone. The tough part being his mixed heritage and just who he lives with. Rishima is the only male in an all female village, he is also half shifter. Because of all of this he has a hard time with many things but perhaps there is someone that can bring him forth from it all and help him to rise in the ranks of the Alkidike from nobody to somebody...

~ Rishima has been through a lot by this point. He ran away from home with his sister and hero, Jerada, went on a journey through Tale, Sauti, and Zena, was given the rank of Blade, and finds himself with the desire to become even stronger among his people. Before all of that though he needs to gather all of his courage and face the most terrifying thing ever, that being going home to talk with his mother...

~ After a long, arduous mission to Sauti completely on his own save for the company of Itzal, Rishima has become a Warrior! The moment he was given rank he set out to find his dear sister Jerarda only to get tackled, literally, by a halfbreed named Gerraden. A very exciting and strange start to his journey as a warrior for sure.

~ Rishima has become an amazon, one of the highest ranks amongst his people, after a lot of hard work. There is still so much to do though, dealing with the Obans, dealing with the war itself, and dealing with his 'biggest fan' Gerraden there is never a dull moment.

RISHIMA'S HOME

A rather simple dwelling that he shares with his mother Rishima has a room that is all his own but dreams of one day having a place that is completely his. While he loves his mother and doesn't mind living with her at the moment at times he feels a little smothered and wants nothing more then to be able to stretch his legs and go out on his own. This isn't something that she much cares for though, as though she is convince that he might vanish like his father before him.

RISHIMA'S STUFF

His Father's Ring: A ring of beautiful blue stone, one similar to the stones that Rishima has on his skin, the ring is a special item that his father once gifted to his mother. The woman seemed to be unable to wear it anymore, finding it to be something to heartbreaking to look at, and she gave it over to her son when he graduated from being a youngling to being a prentice.

RISHIMA'S FAMILIARS

~ A scarred up, hissing, rather unfriendly beast that, for some unknown reason, has taken a liking to Rishima. It's assumed that his rather submissive attitude is what drew the beast in, as though he felt that he needs protected.

~ A stray perzi that started to stop by to get free food from Rishima. After a few time of this happening the kitty finally decided to settle down with Rishima, giving him yet another cuddly companion to vie for his attention alongside Gerraden.

RISHIMA'S EXTENDED FAMILY

Mother: Rishima's mother is a rather powerful woman, an amazon who wield's dual swords and has made a name for herself in her tribe. The problem is that she fell for the wrong person, a Shifter in fact, and ended up with his son. While she had been excited when she was gifted with the lotus from Aisha that elated feeling turned to a more over protective one when her shifter love vanished, never to be seen again. She's raised Rishima as an Alkidike woman since his birth, not filling him in too terribly much about his father's people. The way she sees it, since the man is gone and since she is raising her son along that he will be an Alkidike through and through, even if his looks and true gender cause him to stand out a little.

EARTHLINGS: SHIFTERS

The Shifters comprise a small, rudimentary tribe dwelling in the heart of Tendaji’s rainforest. Like other Earthlings, they stand at about four feet, on average. They possess long, rounded ears and their slim bodies are speckled with blue crystals. The length and style of their hair is dependent primarily upon their trade and rank within the tribe.

This race’s most distinguishing trait lies within their skin and eyes. Both features change from light to dark with the rising of the sun, and back to light in the evening, to match the silvery shades of the moon.

Personality-wise, they are across the board, although each individual’s disposition tends to coordinate with whether they are more nocturnal or diurnal. Their temperament, thus, greatly contributes to the form in which they are most commonly seen.

The Shifer Tribe shares Jauhar, their rainforest home, with the Alkidikes. Because of the war-like nature of their opposing female rivals, however, they tend to do what they can to stay out of the way and to remain unseen. They live predominantly in the upper canopy where food can be found in greater abundance, creating strange nests and hammock-like homes from the thousands of thick, dark green vines that twist between the trees. This diverse tribe prefers an elevated position where they can still observe the movements of the sun and moon.

ALKIDIKE

Long, pointed ears, black, bug-like eyes, and antennae characterize this completely female species. Standing, on average, between five and six feet, they loom above most Earthlings. Their antennae are much like those belonging to an insect's. They're long and flexible, but not muscular; although they can twitch and be moved slightly, they are not strong enough to be maneuvered to any great degrees. They are, however, capable of picking up trace vibrations in the environment, which is what makes the Alkidikes such excellent hunters.

This unique band of sisters originates from Chibale Island. At the center of the island is Aisha, the shimmering, brilliantly blue tree from whose rich, pink, lotus-like flowers every Alkidike is born. A strong-willed tribe of warriors and mystics, they consider themselves to be the oldest species and, thus, have deemed it their duty to explore the entirety of Tendaji.

Although they return to Chibale to breed and perform spiritual rites, the Alkidikes have settled in Jauhar, the rainforest on the mainland. They primarily dwell within the smooth, violet trunks of the tallest, straightest, most awe-inspiring emergent trees in the region. Entrances to their vertical homes are often hidden underground amongst the trees’ deep, intricate networks of roots. The Alkidikes can travel easily through their trees, allowing them to access the upper canopy, where food is particularly abundant.

These women feel entitled to the land and do not appreciate having to share their home with the Shifters. A tension has been created through this dissension that has turned Jauhar into a bloody battle field on more than one occasion.
