The two beasts that were left lumbered forward, stomping the ground under their feet and causing fissures and crack to break from the solid earth. Debris and shards of boulders rumbled forward, causing havoc on the floor. The fighters that remained were few, and just when things seemed to be tipping in their favor the foot soldiers returned.
This time though, they brought with them equipment for capture. Before most could figure out what was going on Freya and Besian had been caught and wrangled into submission. It took four men to pull Besian down and subdue him. The soldiers took with them a dozen or so other warriors from Tendaji, all held down and herded through the crowd of soldiers.
It was too much to handle for the small group that was left. Too many were injured, too many were tired, and the Obans came back in droves.
The other leaders that were left - Vescillea, Enki, Enlil, and Yansa - called out to the remaining left in battle. "Fall back! Get out of here. Retreat!" Vescillea called out to the archers remaining. "Rain arrows to keep them back. Now!"
The people of Tendaji pulled themselves back and filtered back through the forest to the camp, using their familiar forests to keep a much faster pace than the Obans. They soon reached the campsite, and found that the camp was already retreating further into the forest.
