After warning Gerraden that he was going to be out for a while Rishima had left home to visit the Chibale Isles and Aisha, to see how things were going there. He was hoping for good news as he much preferred the peace they were having of late even if he didn't care for the price paid. After rowing across the water in a canoe he stepped out, leaving his boat behind so he walk along the edge of the beach barefoot. As he moved along, looking around from side to side, taking everything in, while the various accessories in his hair jingled quietly behind him.
It was a calm day from the looks of things and he could only hope that it remained as such given that he didn't have a weapon with him. He'd lost his some time ago in a battle against a trio of menzuri and while he knew that he should replace it there was a part of him that just... didn't want to. He was so tired of fighting all the time so being without a weapon seemed to be a good excuse to remain at peace. The only downside was if something dangerous showed up he wouldn't be able to fight it off.
He knew that he really aught to replace it while he was here. It could wait though, for now he meant to enjoy his visit instead of worrying over weapons and future fights.

She was still nervous as she waited for any news of what her future might hold but something altogether different caught her attention. A certain hybrid was back on the islands! Ariya lit up and beamed, grinning from ear to ear. One of the few times the chubby alk ever decided to run and this would be one of them, she brought her hands up to keep her chest from bouncing too much. "Ahhh!!!" Ariya let out a cry of delight as she ran at Rhishima. Then right before the two would collide she'd throw her arms out wide in an attempt to hug him. "Rishi!!" She hadn't thought about her weight and what it meant for someone not expecting to be more or less tackled with it.

Given the fact that he spent so much time with Gerraden, who was the king of tackling Rishima, one would think that he was ready for such things. He was also rather distracted and found himself easily taken out because of that, ending up on his hands and knees in the sands of the beach with Ariya clinging to him. He blinked a couple times, then gave a soft chuckle, "Hello, Sister. It's been a while." He greeted her with a gentle tone of voice. He hadn't expected to see her here but it was nice running into a friend while on his visit to the Isles. Sitting up a little bit he brushed his hands together to rid them of the sand that clung to them before he said, "How are you doing? Well?" He would have to guess that she was doing alright given how happy she was and how enthusiastic her greeting was.

When they went down she laughed and instantly let go of him so that she could roll away. As Rishima sat up she did too though she was less concerned with the sand that was clinging to her. "I'm great. Better than great. Aisha blessed me with a flower." She was unable to contain the good news any longer. Ariya was telling anyone that would listen. And since Rishi was a friend well, she wanted to tell him as well. "I am having trouble keeping still lately." Which was interesting since she was lazy most days. "What about you?"

Rishima's mismatched eyes went wide as his younger sister say that she was 'better then great' because Aisha had blessed her with a lotus. There was a moment where he felt a pang of envy as he'd seen many of his sisters and some brothers blessed in such a manner, even being one who escorted them to Aisha. It was one of those things that he dreamed of himself... but that was a thought that he brushed aside as he didn't want to think too hard on it. Instead he smiled and said, "Congratulations, Sister! May your daughter's lotus grow strong and bloom beautifully." He was happy for her, as he was happy for all of his sister who received such a blessing. Giving a soft laugh as he got to his feet Rishima said, "I seem to be having the exact opposite problem. I seem to be sitting still too much in my old age." The last part a bit of a joke though at the same time complete truth as he'd become a bit of a homebody. This was his first long trip in ages.

Ariya grinned from ear to ear and nodded her head. "I'm excited! I can't wait for her to be in my arms." Normally she would have continued to gush, as she had done to Niesh, her adoptive mother, but something made her look at Rishima with wide, expecting eyes. "Oh! Rishi, would you be her uncle?" The chubby alk shifted so that she was sitting on her heels with her hands in her lap and looking like she was practically vibrating. Ariya was hoping that her favorite hybrid would agree. "She could use a strong uncle to teach her." Plus she thought it would be adorable to see her tiny daughter sitting on Rishi's shoulders. As a mother she wanted to give her child everything. A large family was one of those everythings. "You wouldn't be sitting still too much then."

Rishima's antennae gave a little bounce as she asked if he would be the little youngling's 'uncle' when she was born and he couldn't help but to chuckle. It was always interesting to him when his sisters used terms that were used more by the often used by the Earthlings. He'd spent time with the Earthlings though and had half their blood flowing through his veins so he knew what she meant by it. Giving a slow nod of his head Rishima said, "If you are certain, Sister." Giving a bit of a smile he said, "I am not sure about 'strong' but I am fine with aiding her in learning what will help her along on her way." He could only hope that it went better then the first person he tried to share knowledge with. Giving a smile as she mentioned that he would be sitting still much if he took on the mantle of an uncle he said, "That sounds nice. I will have to tell Gerraden about it." Maybe that would give Gerraden ideas he thought to himself with a little smile to himself. Gerraden was still young yet, maybe too young to be thinking about children, but maybe if he met a little sister then he might get the idea for such a thing for the future?

His chuckle made her pause for a moment. "Did I use the right word? Uncle is right, yes?" Ariya knew she wasn't in the know for all things earthling but she thought she had at least learned some basic family structure. But when Rishima seemed to agree she brightened up. "Yes. I am sure! Subira will be lucky to be spoiled by you." As an after thought she grinned. "And Gerraden." Even though she had not yet met Rishi's mystery man she was sure he was a good person. After all, he'd not done anything to hurt Rishima. "You can teach her many things. Or at least make sure I don't fail as a mother." A nervous laugh came from her at that. Ariya was still worried about her abilities.

Rishima gave a nod of his head, "Yes, that is the correct use of the word, Sister." He gave a little smile before he added, "It's just not often that I hear our Sisters using words that are used by the Earthlings, it's actually very refreshing, Sister, it gives me hope that our sisters and the other Tribes will be able to become friends. It will be good for us all, to become closer, because it means peace for everyone... ahh... sorry, I digress." It was the fact that he was both Alkidike and Earthling that made him wish for such things and he knew that not everyone thought that way. It was why many of their sisters had been banished after all... "Subira, huh? That's a cute name. I look forward to meeting her and I am sure Gerraden will as well, he's a wonderful man with a gentle temperment. I am sure that Subira will have him wrapped around her little finger in no time." Just thinking about him had his antennae bouncing and put a smile on his face. Giving a little laugh he said, "Well, from what I have seen being a mother can be tough, but so long as you put your heart into it you should be alright. What matters most is love if you ask me."

She grinned a bit sheepishly at him when she learned that she had indeed used the right word. "I spent a good bit of time away from Chibale while searching for my mount. I did pick up a few things from the earthlings." Ariya had even found quite a few dishes that the earthlings made that she enjoyed. That had contributed to her gaining a few pounds. As he repeated the name she had chosen for her daughter she nodded her head. "I thought it would fit well." Knowing that Subira would likely have Gerraden wrapped around her finger she chuckled. "We are all doomed to that fate." Ariya was very much looking forward to it all. "I love her already but I still worry that I will fail." It had been a worry of hers since she had reached her teens.

"I see, that's good, Sister." That she had picked up a few things from the Earthlings had a nice sound to it. Here was to hoping that more and more of their sisters would be open to such things. It was something that would make him quite happy indeed. While he knew the peace wouldn't last forever, that there would be something to come and try to stir up trouble, he wanted to think that maybe those still ready and willing to fight would be ready for it. Giving a smile he said, "I am sure that you will do fine. Our Great Mother, Aisha, gave you the gift of your daughter, so I am sure that means that she saw something in you. Something that told her that you were ready and would do well."

Ariya took a deep breath and nodded her head. "You're right." She had nothing to worry about. Or at least not as much as she was worrying about already. "So, are you staying on the isles or will you be returning to the mainland?" Ariya wanted to know where she could find Rishima when her daughter was bloomed this way she could take her to meet him. If she could she'd also shove her newbloomed daughter into the arms of Gerraden. That way Subira could have both men wrapped around her tiny fingers.

"I am just here for a little visit. To see how our sisters are doing, to visit with Aisha, before I return home again. I don't want to leave Gerraden alone for too long or else he will find himself lonely." If Rishima were gone an hour or a week it would end up the same, with him being tackled as he returned as that was Gerraden form of a greeting. At least it was when it came to Rishima, not that he minded too much. Giving a smile he said, "I am guessing you mean to stick close until your daughter arrives? I know that if it were me I would want to sit at Aisha's side until the momentous day... though Mystic Eshe might get sick of tripping over me constantly."

So it was just a simple visit. Ariya nodded her head as she thought about that. That meant that he would likely be gone before Subira was bloomed. "You'll have to tell me where I can find you then, this way we can come visit you." Considering her daughter wouldn't be able to travel right away it might take some time before she got there. "Heh, yeah. Eshe would get tired of seeing me there. Also, I would try to hug the lotus bud." Ariya moved her arms to visually show him. Oh, she had wanted to run and hug the flower when she found out. The fact that she didn't know which one was hers had stopped her.

"Of course. I will be sure to write down some directions for you so that you can your way to where we live. We don't live in any village, though we are somewhat close to Andile." Living outside of the village was something that he much preferred these day, only going to visit Andile when he had a good reason to do so. The same could be said for his visits to the Chibale Isles though, a clear sign to show him that he was a bit of a homebody these days. Turning to glance toward Ariya he gave a bit of a chuckle and said, "I can see why that would be a tempting thing to do. Eshe really does have a tough job, but her ability to speak with Aisha must allow her to know with ease which blossom belongs to which parents." Though he supposed with some little ones it was pretty easy to figure out, like the three that belonged to his sister Jerarda. There was no mistaking the little ones that she and her mate had ended up with.
