Jerarda: Post 1 It hadn't been all that difficult to locate the whereabouts of a certain hybrid she held a certain fondness for. Traveling through the forest she no longer carried her spear but instead a pair of strange looking gauntlets donned on her fists. Made of leather and quite plyable she found that it was still easy enough to grasp tree branches while she traveled. Today though she was slowed down a little as she had a little one clinging to her back squealing with delight as they moved. Somehow it shouldn't of surprised her that Shima loved moving quickly through the branches of the trees. The girl was holding on tightly as instructed much to her relief, there had been a couple times when she had let go of one hand to grab for something only to have Jerarda jump to another tree branch. After stopping and lecturing her daughter they had resumed, but having Shima chatter endlessly in her ear she was hoping she'd find Rishima quickly. Shima: Post 1
To say that Shima was excited was beyond any description she could muster. The little girl nearly trembled with energy, having a hard time focusing on her mothers words and cautions as she clambered onto her back. There was...nothing like it. Shima made a note to brag to her siblings about traveling with mother through the trees faster than the wind! Perhaps a bit of an exaggeration but it certainly felt that way.
Mother had said they were going to visit a dear friend. Someone whom she had gotten her name from. Shima felt that perhaps this person must be someone really important for her to be named after them. Excited and nervous to meet this 'Rishima' she was distracted as they traveled.

Rishima Post 1Rishima had returned from his trip to Andile to gather some supplies for himself and Gerraden, having run out of a few things here and there. Upon arriving he found that Gerraden wasn't home yet, leaving him to put everything away. Once it was all put away, his spear included, Rishima moved to sit outside in front of the house that Gerraden had so painstakingly built for the two of them. It was a nice place, though at the moment it was very quiet, causing him to miss Gerraden's presence already. Laying back on the root he was sitting on, arms crossed behind his head, he allowed his eyes to close. He'd wait for Gerraden to return, then perhaps he'd bring him out hunting. They could use some more meat to cook he thought to himself idly. As he lay there, thinking on how to spend the rest of the day, his antennae set to twitching. Someone was nearby is what they said to him. Sitting up right, his mismatched eyes popping open, he looked around. He was expecting to see Gerraden standing there but instead found Jerarda there along with one of her little ones. Pushing to his feet he said, "Ah! Jerarda, sister, you came to visit!" He sounded quite delighted, having missed her. It had been a while since they had chatted and now that he was here he was quite excited, hurrying over to the two of them.

Jerarda: post 2 The elder alkidike was breathing perhaps a bit heavier than normal, but with Shima on her back it was hard to admit that she felt out of shape. Then again what sane person would run through the forest like a madwoman with a child clinging to her back? Moving she went to assist Shima down off her back how seemed to be instantly playing shy as soon she she spotted Rishima. Shaking her head slightly she wasn't entirely sure why her normally adventurous and bold daughter was suddenly very quiet. "Rishima, I have missed thee. " She declared as she went to give her 'brother' a rather intense hug. Leaving her daughter to fend for herself. Shima: Post 2
THe young girl had been very very excited to meet Rishima, the one she was named after. But now that they had arrived and her gaze fell on the pale skin and mismatched eyes she felt nervous and a bit intimidated. She clung ot her mothers legs until Jerarda pulled herself away to give the man a hug. Alright so mother seemed to know him very well. Left to her own devices she played with the beads in her hair trying to distract herself from the awkward feeling of someone expecting something from her.
She very very much wanted to say hi to Rishima, she had been so excited about meeting him that now that he was here in front of her she...wasn't entirely sure what to do or say. Swallowing she gave a couple smacks on the cheeks as if trying to rile herself up and then strode over to Rishima her cheeks still red from her hands before she looked up at him and nearly shouted.
"Hello!"

Rishima Post 2As he was pulled into a hug Rishima gave a happy sound in his throat, returning the hug, "I missed you too, sister." He murmured, drawing back after the tight hug that he was given had ended. A shame that Gerraden was away but maybe it was for the best? The pair hadn't exactly gotten along completely, had they? What with Jerarda telling him about when she and another of their sisters tied for Gerraden to a tree. It might be by Aisha's blessing that Jerarda and her little one visited while Gerraden was out. His full attention was then drawn to the little girl as she called out a greeting to him in a loud voice despite standing right next to him. It was something that caused him to give a soft laugh before he said, "Hello there, little sister. It's nice to see you as well." The only time that he'd see her, as well as her siblings, was when they were still lotuses blooming in the care of Aisha. To see one of them running around like this, it was quite the sight since it was proof that his dear sister had become a mother herself. It was an amazing sight to behold indeed, the look of the children that his sister had together with Aminah. He was quite happy for the both of them. "I haven't seen you since you were but a lotus. How have you been since then?" He asked of her, finding it funny that this was the second mixed blood youngling he'd met today. It really was a nice thing to see, especially in these times of peace.

Jerarda Post 3: So conditioned to her daughters strange behavior she didn't even flinch at her sudden and very loud greeting. Instead she patted the girls head as if trying to indicate that perhaps she didn't need to scream. Rishima wasn't deaf after all. Smiling as Rishima seemed to easily dismiss the rudeness and go right into trying to get to know her. "I would of brought the others but carrying one on my back was enough work, otherwise it probably would of taken us a full day to get here." Jerarda surmised as she thought of the pass the children would set and how slow it would be especially with the mindsets of young children. Shima: Post 3
Shima stared up at the strange looking man, then again he wasn't that strange she supposed. His eyes didn't match, his skin was pale but he had antenna like she did although longer than her own.
She gave a giggle, a small one as she was called little sister. She wasn't his sister! How silly, but then again mommy had referred to him as brother...maybe he was an uncle? Shima wanted to correct him but she liked the idea of being this mans little sister and it seemed her nervousness was banished by sheer enthusiasm.
"I am good! Momma moved really fast in the trees! It was like we were flying!" Shima exclaimed, instead of answering his question directly she seemed to move right into the trip here. "I think we got lost once...momma said a lot of bad things I wasn't suppose to hear .." She moved in closer using a hand to cup the side of her mouth and though 'whispered' loud enough that any one in the immediate vicinity could hear her with no problem.

Rishima Post 3Rishima gave a bit of a laugh, "I understand, though the idea of you showing up with three little ones hanging off you does provide a funny mental image." As strong as his beloved sister was he was sure that she could have easily made the trip carrying the lot of her babies, it just would have taken her some extra time. Still, if she brought them to visit one at a time it would give him more time to visit with her, so he wasn't going to protest. Instead asked, "Do you need anything, sisters? Food or water? I just returned from Andile with some supplies so there should be enough to go around." They were guests so he shouldn't leave them wanting. Turning to look at the girl he gave a smile as she explained how they had been moving really fast through the trees, fast enough that it felt like they were flying, "That sounds like it was a lot of fun." He said, before the next 'whispered' comment that had his antennae twitching while Rishima tried to smother some laughter, "Is that so? I can't quite image my dear sister saying 'lots of bad things' about getting lost." Alright, he easily could, but he didn't want to tease Jerarda too much since her daughter seemed to be doing so well at it herself. It really was cute, the way that younglings seemed to completely lack the filters that an adult or even a prentice might have in place. "I am glad that you arrived safely, even if you did take a little detour." He added, glad to hear that the trip was without too much incident. He was doing his best to patrol the area around his home to keep out things like menzuri and other dangerous pests.

Jerarda : Post 4 The woman frowned hearing her daughter basically tell Rishima about the fact she had lost her temper during their trip here. Still it was innocent enough a comment as she didn't repeat the words. Crossing her arms she rolled her eyes as Shima seemed to get over her initial shyness and full embrace the one she was named after. "Aye...me moving through the forest with tots all attached to me is funny picture. " She mused before looking to Rishima as he offered food and water. Although she wasn't hungry she had developed quite the thirst. "Some water would be appreciated." Shima Post 4
"It was fun!" Shima exclaimed putting her arms into the air as if this measured just how much fun she had. "I want to do it again! Maybe you can run even faster than mama!" Shima voiced curious to how quickly Rishima would be able to move versus her mother.
With the mention of food though she gave a quick jump up and down in excitment. "I want both! I am staaarving." She complained perhaps a bit dramatically. When the offer for food was given the little girl perked right up, she didn't realize she had been hungry until the mention of food was brought up.

Rishima Post 4"Of course, sister." He said, moving to fetch a water skin for her, one filled with fresh water, and he offered it to her. He was only too glad to be able to provide anything that Jerarda might need since she was so important to him, "If you change your mind about food let me know." He told her, not wanting for her to stand on ceremony for him. Next he moved to fetch another water skin for Shima, offering it to the girl along with some dried meat, "This one is dried aldabuk, the other dried Scorra, both of which come from Tale and were highly recommended by the merchant that I got them from." He told her, giving a smile before he handed off the two stick of dried meat to her. He wasn't too worried about letting her have one of each since he'd gotten plenty. Enough so that he was a little worried it might go bad before Gerr and himself finished it off, so this was only helping to make sure that didn't happen. "Let me know what you think." He said to Shima before looking to Jerarda, "So, how have you been sister? How is life with your mate and children treating you?"

Jerarda Post 5 As the water skin was offered to her she took it and opening the bag then lifted it to her lips. Taking a long but slow drink as she appreciated the quality. Breathing a sigh of relief she lowered it and wiped her lips with her free hand before putting the stopper back on it. "It looks like you've been doing well for yourself. Are you still with your stalker?" She inquired some what teasing Rishima as it had been awhile since she had seen Gerraden and she was surprised to not find him hanging around. "Oh..having children pretty much eats all of your free time...I've been trying to keep an eye out on the dying forest but I can't spend too much time away from my mate and kids...it does worry me though...I use to hunt those grounds...." She trailed off realizing she didn't exactly want her daughter to get any stupid ideas.
Shima Post 5
The little girls eyes widened as she looked at the dried meats being presented to her. Wow! It was so unusual as mama usually just hunted in the forest so they ended up eating bug meat or fish for the most part. Nearly drooling she reached out and plucked the aldabuck from RIshima's hand before taking a big bite out of it.
Being dried it was chewy and you could see her struggling to chew the tremendous bite she had taken. It had a stronger taste than she was accustomed to and as she slowed down in her chewing you could see her trying to work out if she actually liked it or not. After some time she managed to swallow and she took a long moment to stare at the meat in her hand before she took a much smaller bite and chewed again.
"This is good!" She finally managed between chewing, "Did you hunt it?" Was her next question.

Rishima 5Rishima couldn't help but to chuckle, "Gerraden, yes. I know he can be a bit of an oddball, especially with those moments where he seems to go off into his own world, but he's a good man." He said with a smile, his antennae giving a little twitch. Gerraden was cute, following him around like a little radaku pup since they'd met, and it was only recently that Rishima himself had seemed to figure out what was going on. Now that he had he wanted to spend what time he could with him, enjoying their time together even though Gerraden was a bit younger then him. "The dying forest?" Rishima asked, his eyes going a little wide. She was still investigating that area then? His antennae twitched, a slight look of concern on his face as he said, "If you ever need any help with alll of that, just let us know. Anything you need, I am here for you." And he was sure that Gerraden would follow along after Rishima and thus help as well. Turning back to Shima he gave the girl a smile, "Not this time, though one day soon I do need to see about going on another fishing trip. I've always enjoyed fishing, it's quite relaxing and fun. Have you ever tried it, Shima?"

Jerarda Post 6 Jera was a bit surprised at how easy going Rishima was with Gerraden's nickname. Though she was a bit skeptical when he praised the man as well. He was such an odd ball that one. Biting her lip she wished she hadn't brought up the dying forest when there was little ears around. Shima tended to get a bit too excited and always wanted to be included in everything. "I appreciate your concern, in the past I may of been a bit too arrogant going in and investigating by myself. I shall take up your offer when I intend to go back there." She murmured rubbing an arm absently as she now worried about Rishima or Gerraden going into that part of the forest. Shima post 6
Still chewing on the meat in her hand she quietly observed both momma and uncle as they talked about something called the 'dying forest' . Looking around the forest here looked pretty lively, and back home was very similar. Perhaps it was some place she had never been to. The reason for her silence was more out of necessity as the dried meat took quite a bit of chewing before she could swallow. Once her mouth was empty however.
"I wanna go to the dying forest!" She piped up, looking keen and interested in a place she had never been to. Catching her mothers look of disapproval she pouted and stomped a foot. "I am brave! I can do it!" She managed before she gave a bit of a snort, then was distracted by Rishima's question.
Fishing? Blinking she had to think back, they had gone swimming before and she had watched momma fish but she had never honestly done it herself.
"Nope! But I bet uncle is very good at fishing." She managed with a thoughtful tilt of her head. "Do you fish in the dying forest?" Shima managed to bring the conversation back to the one subject she knew Jera was not happy about.

Rishima Post 6Rishima's antennae gave a little twitch before he smiled, glad to hear that his sister would bring him along if the need for such a thing arose. There was a part of him that was worried she might refuse his offer, not wanting to bring anyone else along on her investigations. That she was willing to bring him along made Rishima quite happy. He wanted to be able to help her out after all, he always had, since she was the one who helped him to start on the path that would eventually bring him to where he was now in life. Giving a smile he said, "Just let me know when you decide to head out." Turning slowly as the girl asked about the dying forest, seeming to want to go as well, he starred at her a moment. He looked toward Jerarda, to Shima, and then back and forth a couple times more. She wanted to go too? His antennae twitched before he said, "Well... going there is a lofty goal, little sister..." He wasn't sure what to say in this situation, not wanting to get underfoot when it came to his dear sister's parenting. There was a part of him that wanted to tell the girl that it would be best for her to get a weapon first before she even considered going into the dying forest, but it wasn't his place. Instead, as she mentioned fishing, he hoped to turned the subject to that since it seemed safer. A shame that Shima seemed a bit stuck on the dying forest as she asked about fish there, "Ahh... no, I can't say I've ever fished there. In fact I am not sure if there are even fish there." He mused, tapping a finger against his lips in a thoughtful manner. Were there fish there? Given the description he would guess there wasn't? Who was he to say though, if anyone would know it would be Jerarda since she had more experience with that place.

Jerarda Post 7: Hearing her daughter wishing to go with them to the dying forest caused her features to furrow. She looked angry or perhaps disappointed that her daughter was pushing the subject. "No Shima. Even if fish live there I wouldn't allow you to go to such a dangerous place." The older woman stated firmly. The sheer idea of Shima or any of her siblings getting crazy ideas about going to the dying forest was worrisome. "And I don't want you to speak of it to your siblings. Its not safe for younglings." She affirmed looking at her daughter sternly. Shima post 7
Shima liked that uncle Ri Ri was at least trying to include her in the conversation, perhaps he was humoring her but instead it was momma who was getting angry that she kept bringing it up.
"Momma goes there...sounds like uncle Ri Ri goes there too....I am brave! I bet I can help chase away the monsters!" Shima beamed being adorable and stubborn wrapped up in one. One could almost see Jera's body tense up despite her trying to remain calm.
"I can fight too! I watch mama and mommy fight before, they are both so cool!"

Rishima Post 7Rishima's antennae gave a twitch as Jerarda spoke with Shima, telling her that she wouldn't allow her children to do anything so dangerous, and that Shima wasn't allowed to even speak about the dying forest with her siblings since it wasn't safe for them. Advice that Rishima agreed with wholeheartedly, not wanting to see Jerarda's children get hurt because they were too eager. At the same time that sort of reminded him of Jerarda when she was younger. Given that she knew all about recklessness it made sense that she would want to try to keep her children from doing what she might have done when she was younger. Giving a smile Rishima said, "I am sure that you are brave, little Shima, but it takes more then that. You also need things like training and a weapon before you're ready to take on such scary things." He told her, then gave a bit of a laugh, "Yes, I've seen your mother fight too, she's quite formidable. Definitely worth emulating."

Jerarda Post 8 Jerarda nodded her head, agreeing with Rishima's statement and then she halted for a moment. Realizing that eventually she wouldn't be able to stop her kids from growing up and doing just that. Looking down at Shima who was giving her the biggest pout of her life it worried her to the core. Though Rishima's compliment was to be reassuring she felt a nagging doubt bloom in her mind instead. "Aye...it takes a lot of training ..." Jera started but she wasn't entirely sure if it was a good idea trying to explain the difficulties and dangerous nature of the dying swamp to a small child. Sighing she rubbed her temple wanting to tell her daughter to drop the subject or they would go home.
Shima Post 8
Training? She saw momma and mommy 'fight'. Or at least she envisioned it that way, though it may of been just for hunting purposes it was still fighting yes? Crossing her arms over her chest she gave both adults quite a fierce looking pout.
After a moment she pointed at Rishima in a rather over dramatic fashion. "Train me! I am not scared." Shima demanded knowing full well that her mother would deny her request and so she went for the most likely option.
