Rishima was more then a little exhausted after the long journey he'd been on, all the way to Sauti and back, but he was so happy as well given what he'd accomplished. More important then the increase in rank was that the little youngling that the feathers were for was going to be alright despite being so tiny. It made his heart flutter a bit just thinking about it, that she was safe and that the feathers he'd fetched had helped her. It was a good thing, it meant that their tribe had a new sister to join the fold, one that he hoped to visit again one day. For now though he wanted nothing more then to get some rest. First though he felt he should seek out Jerarda, though he wasn't sure quite where she was and he hadn't seen her about. Thinking maybe that she'd crossed back over to Jauhar he figured he check around the area where the boats docked, hoping that she was there. He wanted to tell her all about where he'd been, what he'd seen, what he'd done. He was so excited to do so!

"So tiring." He murmured, stifling a bit of a yawn as he paddled his way across, hoping that luck would be with him and he would find Jerarda the moment that the boat touched the other side. If not he might need to see about finding a place to camp for a while, not long just long enough to get a nap, but long enough to refresh himself. He'd start the search for his dear sister anew after that... but he hoped that such a thing wouldn't be needed. Glancing over his shoulder he could still pick out where Itzal was sleeping, the lazy beast, surrounded by a group of younglings that all seemed intent upon bringing him treats, brushing his mane, and otherwise making friends with him, "Spoiled." He said with a grin, though he didn't mean to interrupt his rest. The journey to Sauti had been just as exhausting for the Radaku after all and he would leave him to his rest.

The moment the boat touched land on the other side Rishima hoped out, tying the boat off so that it wouldn't try to float away, before he leaned against his spear, calling out, "Jerarda! Sister! Are you out here?" Once he'd called for her he tilted his head to one side, antennae perking up, waiting for a possible answer back.

The hybrid was on the move, today was going to be the day he went to Chibale isle. He would find himself a boat and paddle his way across, touch down lightly on the sands and then prove himself to all those pure blooded alkidikes over there!! He wasn't any worse than they were just because he was a hyrbid and he was going to show them what for. Like days in the past the young man had a satchel all ready for a days journey if he managed to find a boat to get himself to the isles.

Today as he approached the sandy shore he spotted in the distance a boat crossing the waters in a boat and his heart lifted. This meant that someone was coming across! maybe it was a pure blood and he could ask to take the boat back to the islands!! Excite ran through him as he picked up his pace, the boat was a good distance away and he wasn't to make sure he didn't loose them.

Running he followed the shoreline his eyes trained on the boat, though he realized quite quickly that the boat was going to make landing before he could reach it. Cursing slightly under his breath he tried to pick up the pace, but the boat was already going around and out of his field of vision. What if the person left before he could ask them? Of course he could always just take the boat...without permission. But he didn't want to be thought of as a theif. So he just continued to run, rounding the corner he skidded to a halt and fell over as the sands shifted under his feet.

He has stopped so suddenly because the person he had been looking for was ...suddenly just a few feet away from him. It had thrown him off as he had convinced himself that the alkidike was long gone. Groaning he shook his head and looked up, his eyes widening slowly as the sun seemed to come up dramatically from behind the alkidike...whom he soon realized ...was a hybrid like himself. The dark skin for one...the two different kinds of eyes...and...the fact she was a he.

Now if you were to tell Gerraden if he believed in love at first sight he would of scoffed, but...seeing this person in front of him he felt...dumbfounded and unable to find words and was just smiling like an idiot.

Rishima looked from side to side, searching for his sister before his eyes, currently both in their silver coloration, locked on the one standing there and he tilted his head to one side, "Ahhh, hello there." Was that a Shifter? It was a question that came to mind but realized that he wasn't in the right phase... unless he didn't shift? He would be the first that he'd met like that he thought to himself, for a moment forgetting why he'd come out here as he studied the other man. He seemed... quiet, didn't he? Seemed as though he were just starring, maybe he wasn't expecting anyone to be around? He couldn't say that he was all that sure but regardless he would treat him as a potential... well, he wasn't sure about friend or ally but at least acquaintance? That sounded like a good start.

"Are you alright?" He asked when the other guy seemed to be saying very little just kind of starring and smiling in a manner that had him a bit confused. His antennae gave a twitch before he reached out to wave a hand in front of the other man's face, "Maybe you have been out in the sun too long?" He hoped that he had gotten his mind addled by too much sun he thought to himself, feeling a moment of worry for the guy. A lot of sun was never good for anyone, especially if you were used too wandering around in Jauhar and Jauhar alone, it was a much different sort of light that one got in the heavily shaded forest. Best that he try to help the other he decided, not wanting to leave him behind when he was kind of interesting, like nothing Rishima had ever seen at least.

Digging into his pack he got out a water skin, holding it out to the stranger who remained smiling at him, "Here, this might help." He said, having decided that it must be some sort of sun stroke. Water would help cool him off and get him back to being in his right mind... or so he believed at least.

Okay so perhaps he was going a bit over the top with the goofy puppy dog look, but he just couldn't shake off this feeling that...it was destiny. Of all the days for Gerraden to come to the beach to look for a boat and find one..he came across...him. He was...so perfect. His dark skin, those antenna, his mismatched eyes. Later on, he would best describe the feeling like someone had bowled him over with a ...boulder.

After another couple minutes it came to mind how much of an idiot he must appear to be, standing there like a fish gasping for water. The irony being that it was a water skin being offered to him that stirred him from his dur hur pose. A shake of his head to snap him out of his daze and he seemed to come out of it. "Ah..wow..I mean......wow." He murmured at first leaning back a hand coming to scratch the back of his head.

"You....single?" He blurted out rather than offering a name..or asking a name, a bit...boldly perhaps but it he couldn't help it. He didn't want to set himself up for a fall. If he discovered that the man in front of him was already taken by the time it was too late for him to NOT feel like he had to have him...he would be crushed.

Rishima blinked a couple times, starred at the guy, then got a slightly suspicious look on his face. What... what sort of question was that? Especially after the guy had starred at him for so long? Not to mention that they had just... well, they hadn't even met, just crossed paths perhaps was the best way to describe it. Why was he asking him already if he was single? Seemed as though he'd run into a bit of a strange one, "Ahh... and what business is that of yours?" He found himself asking, finding this guy to be a little odd and he wondered if maybe he should continue on his way. He was supposed to be looking for Jerarda after all, not being distracted by the incredibly odd natives. Yes... he should do that he thought to himself, moving to return his water skin to his pack when it seemed as though the guy didn't want it at the moment.

"Are you alright to be on your own? I need to look around for my sister but... I don't want to leave you here if you have sun sickness." He said to the other guy, wondering if it might be better for him to just walk away... but something wouldn't let him do so. This guy might need help after all, what if he was sick? Maybe that was why he was still in that color phase despite the time of day? If that were the case it must be something rather dangerous and he really shouldn't leave him on his own, "Do you need a healer, perhaps? There are some nearby if you aren't doing well." Though should he bring a Shifter who didn't seem to shift to the Chibale Isles? Most likely not... but he wasn't sure where he might find a Shifter Healer, he hadn't really met one that he could recall. Meaning that hopefully the other guy's illness wasn't something that rest and some water wouldn't solve or else he was out of ideas.

The hybrid seemed to realize just how...he must be coming across. Weird was the vibe he was giving off, and that wasn't exactly ...how he wanted the other to see him as. When the stranger seemed put off by his question he face palmed himself after he had turned away to return the satchel to his pack. Stupid move...stupid stupid stupid.

"Ah sorry I am Gerraden. I am from a village not to far from here." The man offered as he trotted up to Rishima getting rather too close to a new acquaintance to be. "You came from the islands? I was planning on going there myself today." The young man stated as he glanced at the boat, not ...very interested all of a sudden to go ...paddling across the ocean when he could be getting to know this man right here.

"That means your a hybrid too. I may not look it by I am one as well. My mother is an alkidike and my father a shifter." He continued perhaps inching even closer to the other as if he was going to suddenly tackle Rishima to the ground and pin him there in a giant hug.

Gerraden from a village not too far from here Rishima thought to himself. Not a name that he knew but he was a little curious about where he might be living. Was he a part of Chalcedony's village, perhaps? When there was mention of him coming from the Islands he gave a slow nod of his head, eyes going wide when Gerraden commented on how he was planning on going there today, "You might not want too, they aren't exactly open to unexpected visitors." He explained, not wanting to see the guy get himself strung by his ankles because the others thought that Gerraden was invading or spying or something of the like. Best that he tried to get him to reconsider, it would keep him safer.

As Gerraden said that Rishiman was a 'hybrid too' he found himself cocking his head to one side, studying the other man more closely. He said that he was born of an Alkidike mother and a Shifter father, "Same for me." He murmured, wondering at the odds that he might run across someone like this, "Though that is more of a reason for you to be careful, there are those that wouldn't look kindly upon you going to Chibale so perhaps you should rethink your travel plans." He suggested, just wanting to keep him safe. He knew that he probably shouldn't be conversing with him openly like this, he didn't want to look as though he was chatting with a potential spy after all, but it was the first time he'd met someone like himself and he couldn't help but to be interested in Gerraden. Where did he come from? Which parent did he live with? Had his parents tried to shelter him as well? So many questions came to mind... though he asked a completely different one.

"Ahh... don't you think you are getting a bit close?" He asked, not all that used to anyone save for Jerada getting this close to him given who and what he was. Taking a step back to put a bit of breathing room between them he found himself wondering if this meant that Gerraden was more used to having others approach him then Rishima was. It was something that had him a bit curious though the only indication of that was his rapidly twitching antennae.

Gerraden glanced away, although it was hard for him to do so. Gazing at the islands that were in the distance and considering the older man's words. It was dangerous to come unannounced? Well that did put a kink into his plans now didn't it? A expression of annoyed thoughtfulness spread across his face before a brilliant idea sprung into life. Turning his head he opened his mouth to blurt out this said idea. Though the words were stilled when he caught on to the fact he was 'too close'.

Rishima stepped away and Gerraden almost instantly took a step to make up for the increased distance.

"Too close? no. Can't say that I am." He replied with a great smile before he tried to remember the great idea that he had moments before his thought was broken. "I have a great idea, why don't you accompany me to the islands? I know its a bit of a backtrack for you. But I would love to get there...even more if its with you."

Needless to say Rishima looked a little confused as the other seemed to pursue him even as he backed up. A part of him wondered if he tried order him to step back if he might listen. He kind of doubted it, maybe he just didn't understand the idea of personal space, it almost seemed as though he didn't when he said that he couldn't say that he was too close even as he got closer and closer. Unless this was some sort of attempt to throw him off guard before he attacked? But... the guy looked harmless enough. He didn't even have a weapon, meaning he must still be a prentice, right? He probably shouldn't be too worried about him them, surely a prentice wasn't at threat to him?

When he suggested Rishima take him to the Chibale Isles his antennae went still for a moment before he glanced in that direction, "I... I don't know... they didn't seem all that pleased the last time I accompanied someone there. I really think that it would be best that you stay on this side of the water, for your own good." He told Gerraden, hoping that he could talk him out of his trip, "Maybe... maybe if you write them a letter asking about a possible trip there?" He wasn't sure if it would make anyone more open to letting him in though, "Or... maybe... finding a pure blood Alkidike or two to vouch for you, that helps." He'd had Jerarda with him when he first went to the islands, as well as Yansa's blessing that had allowed him to become a Blade, and now he had Eshe's blessing to become a Warrior. So... maybe he was someone that might be able to bring Gerraden there?

No, no... he didn't know if the guy was a spy or not, he couldn't just bring him somewhere so sacred, to the island where the Mother Tree was, just because he was asking nicely, saying he wanted to go with Rishima. It might be a trick and he had to be on guard for that he told himself.
PostPosted: Wed Jun 12, 2013 12:06 pm

The expression on his face must of betrayed the dubiousness of Rishima's suggestion. Writing a letter sounded way too formal and unlikely to get him anywhere. Besides he would be back at square one..how would he get the letter to the island?

"No...I think going in person is the only way. Besides if they accepted you...they would accept me right? I mean..I may look mostly shifter but even with the shifter's I am an odd ball my skin doesn't darken like the rest of the shifters..like you..." Leaning forward he went to lay a hand on the other man's arm. ..his fingers brushed against the warm skin only briefly before suddenly gravity thought it would be fun for him to loss his balance at this point.

Eyes going wide he felt the sands shift beneath his feet and he went crashing towards Rishima. Gerraden couldn't stop himself not that he minded so much ending up on a pile on the ground on top of the guy.

Going in person was the only way? Rishi's antennae gave a bit of a twitch when the other guy suddenly told him that since they had accepted Rishi that they would accept him. It was something that made him smile a little bit, "Yeah, perhaps you're right and they will." He said, figuring that, given his rank that maybe he should see about helping him. Wouldn't it be best for someone like Gerraden to be the one to bring him to meet with the other members of their tribe? He leaned into his spear for a moment, thinking deeply on the idea, "Perhaps... I should accompany you, it might be best for you to have a someone who is already a part of the tribe to vouch for you." Though could he really do that? What if the guy was trying to trick him. It was something that had his mind whirling a bit.

He couldn't really abandoned the guy, it would be too cold hearted, not something that he wanted to do or be like, so it was likely best that he try to make friends with him. Rishima found himself dragged out of his thoughts when the other halfbreed reached out to lay a hand against his arm, not something he was expecting, and he gave a bit of a jolt, "Ahhh... excuse me..." He murmured, about to take another step back when suddenly Gerraden was pitching forward, crashing into him, and the both of them ended up on a heap on the ground. Rishiman lay there for a moment, his head spinning, before he looked up at the one that had tackled him to the ground, "Ummm... are you... alright?" He asked, finding the position they were in to be a touch awkward, but he refrained from trying to knock the guy off of him. It wouldn't be nice of him to take his embarrassment out on the guy after all.

"If you wouldn't mind getting up..." He said, his antennae twitching rapidly at this point, the tips of his ears and his cheeks a little red. Save for Jerarda and his mother nobody had really been all this close to him before. It was... strange and it was something that would be be more then happy to escape from, provided of course that the other guy got to moving.
PostPosted: Wed Jun 19, 2013 10:07 pm

To be honest he was suffering from a headache and excitement, though he hadn't intended on crashing into the guy and landing on top of him their limbs a tangle he felt a flush of red spread across his face. Sure the compromising position only convinced him that this hybrid...was meant for him.

Embarrassed as they lay on top of each other the sun seemed to be just at the most romantic level, cast in the orange glow the sand warming what parts of their bodies touched the sand they would stare at each other. Then Rishima would reach a hand out to gently move his hair, they would both apologize at the same time. A small silence. Then he would make his move, leaning forward Gerraden would felt their lips meet...and in a fit of passion they would wrap their arms around each other. They would discover they were made for each other and then life would truly begin.

This day dream was broken and the rather lovey dovey look he had on his face snapping back into reality. Eh? Did...Rishima say something? Oh...right....

"Ah..yes I am fine. You?" He inquired though he didn't seem in any hurry to get up off of Rishima until it was requested of him. Right...he supposed that ...was the next best thing to do.

"Ah...r..right." Slipping off of the other man he kneeled in the sand beside him and looked...like he wanted to ask the other hybrid something.

Rishi found himself starring up at Gerraden, who had the oddest sort of look on his face, and he found himself wondering and worrying if maybe he'd hit his head in the fall. When he came to though, speaking of how he was fine, Rishima could merely nod his head, "Yeah, I'm alright." He said in a quiet voice, glad that Gerraden was alright but it was still a little odd, the way that he was acting. There was a moment where he lifted a hand up, about to check the other over to see if perhaps he had some sort of wound or something but then he was moving away, kneeling beside him on the sand.

Sitting up the halfbreed set to brushing himself off, giving a bit of a smile as he did so, "I... ahh... I'm glad that you are alright... so..." What was is that they were talking about before the guy tackled him? Oh, yes, the fact that he was wanting to go to Chibale Isles to become a part of the tribe there. He really should consult someone about it, about how they should introduce Gerraden to the others, maybe... maybe Jerarda? He wasn't sure though, as close up and personal he was Jerarda might very well punch him were he to get that close to her. He couldn't say that he wanted the two of them getting in a fight about things he thought to himself, musing on his next move as he dragged himself to his feet, brushing off, before he reached down to pick up his spear.

"I think that maybe we should do the introductions slowly, maybe have you meet our sisters, Jerarda. She is the first one of the Alkidike that I really became friends with and she helped me out a lot, taught me a lot, she is really nice." He said, giving a smile as he thought about his favorite sister, before he planted the butt end of his spear against the ground, leaning against it once more, "What do you think?"
PostPosted: Wed Jun 19, 2013 10:54 pm

Was...he just about to reach for him? Gerraden wondered if perhaps he was still day dreaming, perhaps the heat was getting to him? but ...that hand never came to touch him and he...felt ...rather disappointed. A disappointment that grew when Rishima went to stand up.

When he began talking about his sister, he wondered...first...why? Well more half breeds were always a good thing right? Wait..no...by the sounds of it...this Jerarda was a pure blood. His gaze watched Rishima's every move, when reaching for his spear he felt a moment to stop him but refrained. Slowly he went to stand up, shaking sand the clung to his skin off his legs.

"Slowly? I would much rather get to know you quickly." The hybrid stated immediately before realizing that he meant him meeting Jerarda slowly. Ah...right. But he didn't really want to meet anyone else right now he wanted to get to know Rishima better.

"Ah..I mean...I think it may be better if you tell me...more of what I should learn before meeting a full blood."

Rishima shook his head, "I don't think that you want to just dive in head first. Were you to rush over there to the islands they might end up thinking that you were there for all the wrong reasons because you looked... umm..." He trailed off for a moment, trying to think of the right words. What should he say? That he looked like a Shifter? That wouldn't sound all that nice now would it? He cleared his throat then continued, "While some of us might like the Shifter Tribe there are others that aren't as open to having outsiders in their midst." He explained, not wanting to straight out say that because he looked like a Shifter that it wouldn't go well for him to rush out to the islands full bore.

"It's best that you plan it out." He said, giving a nod then as Gerr mentioned that it might be better if he told him what he should learn. He shifted place for a moment, giving a thoughtful sound, then said, "Maybe... ahh... you should think about your place in the world? If you want to become a member of the Alkidike it means striving to become as strong as our pure blooded sisters, not to mention it means allying yourself with the tribe." He explained, then lifted a hand to tap a finger against his lips in a thoughtful manner, "Do you want that? To become an Alkidike? Do you live with the Shifters? It might make things more difficult then..." Would they accept a half breed that lived with the Shifters? Rishima had been lucky in that he lived with his Alkidike mother and had Jerarda to back him up.

Giving a soft sigh he said, "There are those who... well, probably still don't like me even though I am climbing in rank because of what I am. You just have to be aware that you will have opposition." He warned him, reaching a hand out, resting it on Gerraden's shoulder, "I would hate to see you get hurt so you should really consider what you want out of life and if this is a path you really want to pursue because it will be far from easy."
