Masika and her family had started their journey to.. well she wasn't quite sure where they were going. In truth she only cared that she was with them. Her twin sister was full of questions though. The little blue hybrid had one hand clutched onto her mother's skirt as they walked doing her best not to let go and to still stay attentive to everyone around her. When they stopped to look at something someone was selling she relaxed her grip on her mother's skirt so that she could twist around and look up at the people that passed by. Most of them looked just like her mother and kinda like her sister. The yellow skin with green feet and hands. But only her mother and these strangers had the antennae like she did. Galene had the same ears as her dad. Masika wasn't sure how that worked. Without even realizing it she'd stepped away from her parents and sibling to peer around the dark legs of a shifter at another hybrid that seemed to be in the area. Her orange eyes blinking as she tried to figure out if they were like her mother or like her father. The woman looked interesting to say the least. But when her family started walking again she didn't see them move and when she turned around to go back to them she couldn't find them. Lost in the sea of legs she teared up and turned her head this way and that. "Muma? Dadae!" Masika did her best to gain their attention but since she didn't know which direction to call toward she failed. Instantly tears burst forth and she started to cry which gained her the disdainful looks from pure blood Alks. Fearing them and their mean faces she retreated to a small space between tables and brought her hands up to rub at her eyes as she wept and hiccuped wanting her parents.

Rishima's antennae gave a little twitch when he heard a small voice calling out for the mother and father, something that caused him to look around for a moment. For a moment he wondered if perhaps he was just hearing things, he was in the midst of a rather large crowd after all. His scan of the area didn't spot anything straight away, causing him to look back to the table before him, when he heard the voice of one of his sisters as she passed by him, commenting on having seen a 'strange blue hybrid wandering alone' and one wondering alone 'what it was' which caused him to give pause. Wait... what? So he hadn't just been hearing things? Quickly making his purchase he tucked the supplies into his pack, scooped up his spear, and headed in the direction that he'd sworn he'd heard the cries from earlier. A short search later and he caught the sound of someone crying, a sound that seemed to lead him straight to the one that he'd heard earlier. As he approached the first sound that the youngling would hear was the clinking of the various decorations in his hair before he took a knee, peeking into the girl's hiding place, "Hello, little sister. Are you alright?" He asked of her, a look of concern on his face. She was lost alright, as well as quite upset about it. Here was to hoping he could coax her out so that they could search for her missing parents. Here was also hoping that her missing parents were missing by accident and not due to them abandoning their child. A though he brushed aside due to not wanting to consider for even a moment that something like that could happen. The zealots were gone, there was no need for such a fear anymore he told himself as he waited to see if the little one would come out on her own.

Her cries covered up the sound of Rishima's approach so she didn't know he was in front of her as she rubbed at her eyes. At least not until he said something that made her jerk backward and yelp as she stared at him all wide eyed. The whites of her eyes had started to turn red from her rubbing at them and the tip of her nose was turning a light purple as she sniffled. Masika gave a hiccup as she took a deep breath and trembled her bottom lip. "Eeh.. eeh.. don't eat me.. *hic* I. Want. My. Muma." More tears bubbled up then spilled over to streak down her cheeks, making her skin look even more dirty now. For the time being she found Rishima to be a little intimidating and retreated a little farther into her hiding space. Luckily he also blocked the view for others to see her. Which meant she didn't need to see the mean faces of pure blood alkidikes as they watched her show weakness. Since she wasn't rubbing at her eyes anymore she started to twist the beads on her bracelet as her little antennae sagged.

Rishima blinked a couple times as the girl told him not to eat her, likely the very last thing that he would ever think of doing, and one that surprised him more then a little. His antennae gave a rapid twitch before he said, "I can assure you that I would never think of eating one of my little sisters." He wondered where she'd gotten that sort of idea, that anyone would want to eat another person. Just the idea of it caused him to give a slight shiver before he noticed that the girl was moving further back in her hiding spot, something that was the exact opposite of the results that he was hoping for. Shifting so that he was sitting down cross legged he said, "I have no reason or desire to hurt you, little sister, but if you don't trust me I can understand. I am a stranger to you after all." Resting his weapon and his pack on the ground, hoping that disarming himself would make him look less scary he offered, "How about I sit here with you and you tell me what your parents look like, maybe I can look for them while we wait?" He really found himself curious about her parents. Those that he'd over heard weren't wrong, she was a rather bright blue, wasn't she? Was she part of the Ice Tribe, perhaps? Surely that couple would stand out from the others in the area? At least he hoped so as he started to scan the crowd around him for such a pairing.

Masika was busy sucking in her breaths when the man sat down and took off this things to look less intimidating. It took her a moment longer of staring at him before she shifted to get a little closer. Mostly it was his asking about her parents that did it. "Muma is a Alkit." Which would be plainly obvious since she shared some physical traits. For example; her antennae and fading skin tone on the limbs. Masi paused for a moment to look the big man over. "Dadae is from water." Now there was a pairing. Her sobs had quieted and her breathing had somewhat returned to normal. Though she still seemed hesitant to get closer. "Muma has stripes on her face." To show Rishima where they were she moved one hand to her chin and drew down then to under her eye and moved across toward her ear. Of course her mother had more than those markings but at the moment she was too scared to remember them all.

Alright, her mother was an Alkidike, which he was expecting to hear, but what he heard about the girl's father was a little more surprising, "Ahhh, really? A member of the Water Tribe?" To think that one of their sisters was in a relationship with a member of the Water Tribe. It was a bit surprising to him but at the same time it was nice to hear, it meant that the other tribes were getting along with his sisters. Not only getting along with them, but also having children with them, which was a nice thought. The peace that came from the battle in Sauti was proving to be worth it, even though he wished it could have been done without having to banish some of their sisters. Giving the girl a smile he said, "Alright, I will see what I see then." He murmured, looking around the area, his antennae twitching as he did so. He didn't see any members of the Water Tribe, not straight away at least. Surely, if the pair were around, they must be looking for their little one? What should he do at this point then? Should they wait in the area and hope that the pair reappeared? Should they go looking for them? Andile was a big enough place that he didn't feel that wandering around aimlessly was going to helpful. If she got lost in this area then this had to be where they would search first, right? His antennae gave a thoughtful twitch before he shifted the way he was sitting, wanting to be comfortable. Once he was comfortable he said, "I am sure that if we scan the crowd closely from here we will spot them with time." If they were looking around they would be sure to notice the two of them sitting here on the ground waiting for the missing in action parents.

Her head nodded when he asked if that was really where her daddy was from. Masika remembered because her mother had to explain to her why her sister looked so different from her. The little blue hybrid moved closer as Rishima looked away from her. Now that she didn't feel as threatened she was more willing to be curious about the man. Plus, he kept calling her little sister even though she was pretty sure her mum hadn't asked the ancient tree for him. And if she did.. she was telling Daddy! When she was just about fully out of her hiding place Masika flew toward the man and clung to him, her arms wrapping around his neck to keep her in place. She didn't want to be seen by the mean yellow Alkidikes so she would cling to the big man to stay hidden, even if her blue skin stuck out quite a bit. "Why do you call me sisa? Did Muma ask for you too?" Her bright orange eyes blinked with curiosity as she continued to look at him.

Rishima gave a slight jump from surprise as the girl was suddenly throwing herself into his arms, though instantly he wrapped his arms around her, giving her a hug in hopes of soothing her, "It will be alright, we'll work together to find them." How many members of the Water Tribe could possibly be in Andile at the moment after all? He was certain that, just by asking about that Water Tribesman, that they would get to wherever he was easily enough. He'd wait for now, give the girls's parents time to come back, and then if they had to they could start a search for the missing pair. At the girl's question he couldn't help but to give a little chuckle, "No, no, I can saw for certain that she definitely didn't ask for me since I've been around for quite a while. I call you sister because that is what those with Alkidike blood call one another. It's because most of those born from Aisha are female. Aisha is our mother, and since we are all born from her we are in a way all sisters." He explained, even though he wasn't quite a sister himself per say... though Jerarda had called him as such since they first met back in the day. As such he didn't even thing twice about it when he was referred to as such.

She scrunched up her little nose. "So my Muma is my sisa too?" Now Masika was just confused. Did she have two mommys or one and was it the tree or the Alkidike? The hug that he gave her seemed to calm her down a bit more and she leaned back to look at him more clearly. What she saw had her reaching up to touch his face with both tiny hands. Cupping his cheeks she seemed to be comparing her skin color to his then tilting her head. "Where is you Dadae from?" Masi suspected that it wasn't from the water. He wasn't blue. Then her hands went toward Rishima's antennae. Thankfully she knew better than to pull on them but she wanted to see if he had any designs on them. "My sisa has markin's like my Muma. I has speckles like Dadae." Releasing the feelers she pointed to her dots. "See?"

Giving a little smile Rishima said, "Well, that is where things get interesting. Your mother is your mother in that you're born looking at least in part like her, but you were also born through Aisha's power and love." It was pretty complicated, in a way it was like she had two mothers and one father in a sense. A thought that he found himself thinking about for a moment before he found the girl cupping his cheeks so that she could inspect him more closely. "Well, my father, he was actually from Jauhar. He's a shifter, which is why I currently have dark skin... though if you catch me at night I am quite different, with my skin turning a more silvery color." He explained, not moving too much so that she could finish up her inspection of his face. When she was done he leaned forward a little so that she could look at his antennae a little more closely. Once she was down there he lifted his head again to look at her spots, "Ohhh, I see. Those are some really neat spots you have there." He said with a little nod as the girl showed off the speckling that she'd gotten from her father, "So the blue, that's from your father as well? He must be a very interesting looking fellow to give you such bright coloration and pretty spots." He looked around for a moment, looking for someone with spots similar to hers or the same sort of blue, before looking back again. He didn't see them yet, but he'd keep looking.

All she gave was a confused look as he tried to explain the mother thing to her. Masika had to admit she didn't quite understand it. So she left the subject alone. "Mhm, Dadae is blue an' light blue with blue spots." As she explained her hands moved over her body to show what she meant. So the light blue had her rubbing a hand at her belly. Though she brightened up a little. "I only has light blue on my hands and feet and eyes." Masika wiggled her fingers and toes. Now that she had explained everything, even though she was sure Rishima could see her coloring, she went back to him. Leaning in close to tilted her head and then brought her hands back to his face to touch at his eyes. "What happen?" She'd never seen someone with two different kinds of eyes, not even two different colors, so it made her think something had happened to him to make it that way. Then, like a child with a sugar high she moved on to his hair. Again thinking that it looked like her mother's. Something she noticed that the other Alkidikes had too. "You can't brush it.." Came her firm retort.

"Three different colors of blue? Sounds nice." He said, finding it cute how eager the little one was to tell her all about what her father looked like. It was helpful information though, the sort that would help Rishima to pick the man out in a crowd. Sure, the Ice Tribe had blue, but they definitely didn't have three shades of blue, so even standing next to each other he was certain that the two tribes would stand out from each other. Watching the girl wiggle her fingers he laughed, "Yes, that is something special that you have right there, like something akin to what our sisters have. Their skin fades more toward their hands and feet as well." As the girl reached toward his eyes Rishima blinked a couple times, then gave a smile, "Nothing happened, you needn't worry, little sister. Aisha merely blessed me with one eye like that of my Alkidike mother and one akin to that of my Shifter father." He explained, not wanting her to think that there was anything wrong with his eyes even though they were a little odd in appearance. Giving a soft laugh he said, "No, it can't be brushed, but I am able to decorate it with all manner of interesting things." He pulled a few of his dreadlocks around for her to inspect, showing her the bands and rings that decorated them.

Now all smiles as she interacted with Rishima she giggled. "Mhm! Muma and sisa have green." Masika liked the green but her light blue was pretty too. Since he had made her feel more at ease she didn't seem to mind the odd looks from the pure blood Alkidikes that went past. "Ohhh. Do Alkit's have different sight too?" She always wondered how her mother's eyes worked. They were all black but she could still see. Given rings and bands to play with she quickly snatched up one and shook it. Masika grinned as it made the other dreads wiggle. "I want some in my hair too." She claimed. Then she looked at her hair, or as best as she could since it was still short. "But.. I wanna brush it."

"Your sister? Ah, so your parents were blessed with two lotuses then? Or were you a rare case where two were born from the same flower?" He asked, then laughed, realizing that was a question that she might not even know the answer to. He was just curious since he'd escorted some others seeking to speak with Aisha to the island. That was back when things were more tense, when an escort was needed to make sure that one got to Aisha safely to speak with her, and back again. That was a time that he was glad was over, wanting his sister to be able to speak with the Great Mother without having to worry that some of their more zealous sisters might get in the way of such a meeting. Giving a thoughtful sound Rishima said, "Perhaps you can start with braids? They are similar to our dreads, allow for the same sorts of decorations, but you can also brush them out if you decide that you want to or need to." It wasn't dreadlocks like those he had but the most similar thing that one could do without committing the hair style. It was a good option for some children since they were still young and sometimes needed their hair tied back to keep it from getting in the way as they played.

The question about the lotuses made her confused. Were there two or one? Had she shared the bloom with her sister or not? Masika didn't think it mattered either way since she was close with her sibling. Sharing a pod with Galene would have been nice. Imagine the cuddles she could have gotten! Her little antennae practically stood up with excitement. Then her attention was gripped by something else that the man said. Braids. "Oh yeah! Dadae and sisa have braids. Maybe I can have braids." It would be a nice addition to her hair. She reached back and toyed with her own black locks. Masika would have to ask her dad or mom to braid her hair when she saw them again. Wearing a grin on her face she looked at Rishima. "Can I put flowers in braids?" She asked excitedly. Already she was thinking of all the cute girly things she could add to her hair. During the time that the pair had been conversing V'demhe had been frantically searching for Masika. She'd thought it had been her hand on her skirt when she walked away only to later learn it had been Gale's. So she left her mate and other daughter with the familiars as she searched. When she finally found her little blue girl she took her blades out from their safe keeping and approached the man that held her. He was sitting on the ground and it made it easy to place one sharp edge to his throat as she narrowed her eyes at him. "Who are you and what are you doing with my daughter?" Dem severely hoped that he hadn't pulled Masika away from her otherwise blood would be spilled. If the man had simply found her child and was trying to keep her safe then things would become less tense. For now she was hoping it was the second option since the man was a hybrid himself.
