i know that the molecules in my body are traceable to phenomena in the cosmos that makes me want to grab people in the street and say "have you heard this?"
Civilian Life

Name: Tara Shannon Kavanaugh
Nicknames: Tara's been called everything from Space Case to o'Hara, but would prefer being called by her name, thank you. Actually, Tara doesn't care what name you use, as long as you're talking about her.
Gender: Female
Age: 17 18 19 20 21 22 23
Birthday: January 23rd
Blood Type: AB-
Fav. Food: Pizza. In Tara's opinion, the person who invented pizza deserved a Nobel Prize. She's also fond of breakfast sausage and canned cake frosting.
Hated Food: Curry, chili, and hot foods that set her mouth on fire. Also cold foods like most kinds of mint, or ice cream.
School: Sovereign Heights Preperatory, working on improving her GPA (not to mention her attendance record). Graduated from Horizon Institute for Technology and Science in 2014. Formerly Meadowview High School. Prior to that, the ill-fated Barren Pines College.
Hobbies:
Alien Hunting: Tara considers herself a serious scientist. She uses facts (such as they are) to support her theories and is open to new ideas. But she's also rather obsessed with the thought of life in the universe, and goes to great lengths to try to uncover it. It's not uncommon for Tara to stalk unmowed lawns looking for crop circles, or put tinfoil hats on random people to see if it affects their rate of exchange with the mothership. In short, while she's generally rational, Tara is just as fanatical as the UFO chasers she mocks in her blog.
Mad Science: Books and videos aren't really Tara's thing. She prefers to get her science from the source- that is, from performing experiments herself. If an idea occurs to her, Tara needs to test it out immediately. She has most materials required for basic experiments in her room, and tries to sneak others out of the various labs. And the fact that she does them in dark, creepily lit rooms? That's just ambiance, she promises.
Lightsaber Combat: A cross between sci-fi fun and a duel to the death, minus the death. Tara is one of the founding Jedi Knights of Barren Pines, which basically involves meeting up with likeminded geeks once a week to stage elaborate duel scenes with toy lightsabers. It's good for attention, it's good for excercise, and it's just plain fun. In Tara's mind, it doesn't get much better than that.
Cheerleading: This activity is done almost solely for attention, since whoever heard of an unpopular cheerleader? Regardless of her reasons for taking it up, Tara enjoys the feelings of team spirit and pep cheerleading inspires in her. She's hardly the star of the squad, but she finds playing a supporting role a nice change from trying to be center stage. It also helps her get rid of some of her excess energy, and provides an excellent source of material for sociology experiments.

Virtues:
Cool Under the Collar: It's virtually impossible to get Tara to lose her temper. To her, arguments are chances to match wits with others and either prove something or learn something. While her volume might increase if the other person's is, she doesn't invest any emotion in her debates and almost never gets angry, even if she's proven wrong. This makes her come off as detached sometimes, when really she just enjoys a good conversation and doesn't want to let anger ruin it. Anger's about the only thing this applies to; with other emotions, Tara runs the gambit and is terrible at hiding her feelings.
Adventurous: Need someone to try something new? Ask Tara! Whether it's taste-testing homemade cookies or trying a potentially dangerous experiment, she's the girl for the job. As a researcher of the unknown, she considers it her duty to put herself in new situations, even if they're potentially threatening, and she is good at keeping her head even in unfamiliar territory. That said, Tara isn't totally courageous; she has fears just like anyone else, but the unknown is not one of them, and she's always up for new experiences.
Helpful: It's important to be friendly, especially when you're trying to change the world. Tara realizes this, and does her best to make herself useful. People who come to her find that she's an excellent listener who's always willing to lend a hand- to people who come to her. Not that she's unfriendly towards others, but they're more likely to get an earful on UFOs from her. People who seek Tara out for any reason- even selfish ones- give her the support she needs without knowing it. With them, she's more likely to be open and natural, and somewhat more likely to stay on-task.
Unconventional: Tara has a knack for thinking up unusual solutions to problems. When the usual doesn't work, she always has at least one more thing to try. She's also an excellent sounding board, and loves to help people work through problems they're having, whether they want her help or not. One problem that goes along with this is by ignoring conventions, Tara finds herself in sticky situations when it might be better to just play along.
Flaws:
Shameless: "All publicity is good publicity," or so says Tara. As such, she does things that other people would find hurtful or embarassing, without really thinking of the consequences. Usually, her stunts merely serve to damage her reputation and make people think she's a kook. Since she doesn't quite get those facts, she's willing to go to just about any length to get attention, or to find something out. The good news is that since she doesn't think what she's doing is wrong, she isn't embarrassed. The bad news... well, judge for yourself if it's your skirt she's lifting up in order to prove a point.

Skeptic: Forget seeing is believing. For Tara, believing doesn't happen until she experiences proof in triplicate with multiple senses. A healthy amount of skepticism is key to discovery, but Tara's skepticism goes beyond what's healthy, and she argues with just about anyone who tries to spout "facts" at her. Weirdly enough, Tara is more likely to take subjective or unproven claims seriously, which leads to her own interest in sciences that deal more with theory than fact.
Scatterbrain: Forgetful is a word often used to describe Tara. She is known for forgetting where she leaves things, when and where events are happening, and even how to do certain tasks. Tara's trouble is not just with memory; she has difficulty focusing on any activity for long, and feels the need to jump from one activity to another frequently. If she isn't adequately stimulated, her forgetfulness spikes dramatically. Having her help on a project requiring long-term committment is a bad idea, since she'll either bail out part way through or try to keep going and end up in such a frazzled state that she'll be more harm than help.
Lazy: While Tara loves to work on things that interest her, getting her to do anything else is difficult. Her grades are near the bottom of the class because she refuses to do homework. She doesn't study for tests, she doesn't clean her room, and some days it's too much trouble to even take a shower. If Tara doesn't see the point in doing something, or she isn't interested in it, she won't do it, end of story.
Physical Features:
Hair: Navy blue, mid-back length, somewhere between straight and wavy. Tara usually wears it loose, except for a small braid on the left side of her face, tied with a bow at the end.
Eyes: A lighter shade of her hair color, often red from lack of sleep or wide with excitement.
Body: Average height, slim frame, some muscle from athletics but not a whole lot. Tara often jokes that she's about as boring on the outside as she is interesting on the inside- including her lack of a real chest- but isn't complaining. She has several scars from her numerous youma encounters, the most noticeable of which are three long slashes that run from the upper-right of her abdomen to the lower-right of her back.
Style: Laid-back and lazy. Tara's wardrobe consists mostly of jeans and t-shirts with quirky graphics, many of them space- or science-related (she owns no less than eleven Star Wars shirts). She sticks to sneakers and sweatshirts, and her accessories are generally understated and reflect her interests, like DNA necklaces and mineral sample bracelets. She has a few sets of athletic clothes to wear to various practices, and one or two dresses somewhere in the back of her closet. When it comes to dressing up, Tara prefers not to at all, will wear a blouse and slacks if coerced, and can only be put in a dress by a greater power- aka, her family.

if you're scientifically literate the world looks very different to you and that understanding empowers you
Sailor Senshi
Sailor Aquarius: Zodiac Senshi of Science (Zodiac Senshi rank between Super and Eternal Senshi in terms of power and energy signature.)
Henshin Call: Aquarius Zodiac Power, Make-Up!
Challenge: Nothing in this world is to be feared, only understood! In the name of Aquarius, it won't take rocket science to defeat you!
Symbol: ♒
Attack #1: Energy Equivalence
Aquarius is able to copy the density of any object on the battlefield, from air to steel and anything in between, and apply it to her body. This is achieved by either increasing or decreasing her mass in order to match the density of her chosen object. She must be able to see or touch the object she chooses in order to properly execute the attack, and it is possible to accidentally take on the properties of an unintended object if she isn't focused. The effects last for thirty seconds, though it is possible to dismiss them before that time elapses, and she is able to do it once per battle.
Attack #2: LOCKED
Aquarius the Astrological Sign: Aquarius (♒)(Greek: Υδρόχοος) is the eleventh astrological sign in the Zodiac, originating from the constellation Aquarius. In western astrology, the sign is no longer aligned with the constellation as a result of the precession of the equinoxes. In astrology, Aquarius is considered a "masculine", positive (extrovert) sign. It is also considered an air sign and is one of four fixed signs. Aquarius has been traditionally ruled by the planet Saturn, and, since its discovery, Uranus has been considered a modern ruler of this sign. Being the eleventh sign of the zodiac, Aquarius is associated with the astrological eleventh house.
Individuals born when the Sun was in this sign are considered Aquarius individuals. Under the tropical zodiac, the Sun is in Aquarius roughly from January 20 to about February 17. Under the sidereal zodiac, it is currently there roughly from February 13 to March 14.
Generally, Aquarius sign are considered to be compatible with other signs such as, Gemini, Libra, Aries, Sagittarius and other Aquarius. These signs share an airy demeanor and are believed to relate with each other on that merit.
Aquarius the Constellation: Notable stars in constellation Aquarius are Alpha Aquarii (Arabic: sadalmelik), Beta Aquarii (Arabic: Sadalsund), Gamma Aquarii (Arabic: Sadachbia), R Aquarii and Zeta Aquarii.
Notable deep sky objects in Aquarius are Messier 2, Messier 73, and Messier 72. M2 is a bright globular cluster that can be easily viewed with the naked eye on the bright sky. M72 is a faint spherical cluster which cannot be viewed by average telescopes. M73 is a small cluster of stars composed of four stars and can be viewed with a small telescope. The Saturn Nebula (NGC 7009) in the constellation Aquarius was first observed by Sir William Herschel in 1782. It is one of the brightest planetary nebula that resembles the shape of the planet Saturn, when viewed with a powerful telescope.
Aquarius in Mythology: Aquarius is identified as GU.LA "The Great One" in the Babylonian star catalogues and represents the god Ea himself. It contained the winter solstice in the Early Bronze Age. In Old Babylonian astronomy, Ea was the ruler of the southernmost quarter of the Sun's path, the "Way of Ea", corresponding to the period of 45 days on either side of winter solstice. In the Greek tradition, the constellation became represented as simply a single vase from which a stream poured down to Piscis Austrinus. The name in the Hindu zodiac is likewise kumbha "water-pitcher", showing that the zodiac reached India via Greek intermediaries.
Aquarius is sometimes identified with Ganymede, a beautiful youth in Greek mythology with whom Zeus fell in love and, in the disguise of an eagle (represented by the constellation Aquila) carried off to Olympus to be cup-bearer to the gods.
Aquarius has also been identified as the pourer of the waters that flooded the Earth in the ancient Greek version of the Great Flood myth. As such, the constellation Eridanus the river is sometimes identified as a river being poured by Aquarius.
Aquarius may also, together with the constellation Pegasus, be part of the origin of the myth of the Mares of Diomedes, which forms one of The Twelve Labours of Heracles. Its association with pouring out rivers, and the nearby constellation of Capricornus, may be the source of the myth of the Augean stable, which forms another of the labours.
Aquarius finds a force around her ON THE BATTLEFIELD and matches it -- she must find an object (such as an element or an item -- concrete, or a car moving, etc) and will suddenly take on its properties for thirty seconds: the velocity of a thrown object, density of an object (such as concrete or air). This only affects herself.

as the ancient mythmakers knew we are children equally of the earth and the sky in our tenure on this planet we have accumulated dangerous evolutionary baggage
Zodiac Guard
Princess Chronos/Serenade Soriano: I keep looking to her for something, but I'm not sure what anymore... or why.
Prince Eon/Allistair McGill: Someone on this team who actually had sense. I miss the sense of stability he gave us.
Guardian Zue/Sue Gottschalk: Someday I need to track this guy down and run some serious tests on him.
Captain Aries/Hero Barrett: There's nothing I can say that would make any sense out of this. Nothing makes sense anymore, not if someone like Hero Barrett is dead.
Sailor Taurus/Topher Coral: As much of a Captain as I need- which, I admit, isn't much. A stand-up guy, at least.
Sailor Gemini Alpha/Andeon Boskovic: Modern science fails to properly evaluate this specimen.
Sailor Gemini Beta/Mackenzie O'Connell: The more reasonable Gemini, by a small margin.
Sailor Cancer/Abeline Froust: She can twirl on her toes, sure, but is she any good as a warrior?
Sailor Leo/Grayson Graves: A pretty cool dude, when he's not dwelling on the past. Not that I can blame him, but I wish he'd move on.
Sailor Virgo/Elke Arma: We have too little in common to work well together, so I'm fine leaving her to the Zodiac babysitters.
Sailor Libra/Giselle Petrova: While I'm willing to work with her for the sake of the greater good, I don't have to like it. She's one of the more intelligent members of this party, but her personality is a high price to pay for smarts.
Sailor Scorpio/Angela Bryne: Smart, sure, but not exactly easy to talk to. I'm not sure we've ever really talked.
Sailor Sagittarius/Jude Lawson: I never liked him, but I didn't want him dead, either. Is this what we came back for?
Sailor Capricorn/Aurelia Thorne: She's too boring to warrant a real opinion, other than maybe a yawn.
Sailor Aquarius/Tara Kavanaugh: A brilliant scientist whose theories will be known round-the-world someday. And a pretty awesome Senshi to boot.
Sailor Pisces/Pierrette Genoise: Another one who needs a babysitter. Are we supposed to be kids, or soldiers? Sometimes I can't tell.

our obligation to survive and flourish is owed not just to ourselves but also to that cosmos ancient and vast, from which we spring
Family Tree
Melanie Kavanaugh (mother, 56): A middle school U.S. History teacher with a passion for the Civil War era. Her favorite book is Gone with the Wind and she watches the film regularly. She and Tara have a difficult relationship, due to a lack of common interests and repeated errors in communication. She really wants what's best for her daughter, but they seldom agree on what's best, and she tends to take a heavy-handed approach to enforcing the rules she sets. The fact that her kids are now old enough to live without her there to set some guidelines scares her more than she's willing to admit. She insists they come home on breaks from school, and calls several times a week, hoping to maintain some kind of stability even though she's not physically present.
Gregory Kavanaugh (father, 59): A museum curator specializing in furniture acquisition, though he also helps to write exhibit material and plan digital media. Born in London, he still has a bit of an accent despite having lived in the states for over 40 years, and still takes his tea every afternoon. Though he wants what's best for his kids, he's more willing to let them learn from their mistakes than his wife is. Because of this, his relationship with Tara is considerably less strained. She brings any issues needing parental guidance to him first, and is more likely to respect his opinion than her mother's. After the things Tara has been through, though, he's shortened her leash considerably, and is on speakerphone during most of Melanie's phone calls, keeping an ear out for any signs of trouble.
Kent Kavanaugh (brother, 31): Tech support for a law office in Destiny City, while pursuing a doctorate in computer engineering. He has a near-encyclopedic knowledge of classic TV sitcoms, and maintains a recipe box, adding regularly from people he talks to and magazines he reads. He and Tara had a rocky relationship when they were kids, but as they got older, they became quite close. Tara views Kent as a supplementary parental figure, and depends on him for the day-to-day encouragement and support that she found it harder to get from their mother and father. He's also just more fun than their parents are. One of Tara's greatest fears is that Kent will get involved in the war in Destiny City, and she's done everything in her power to keep that from happening, unaware that her behavior has caused him to look into things on his own.
Rev. Charles Caffrey (uncle, 44): A minister at First Methodist of Destiny City, and a surprisingly good cook. Tara is fond of her Uncle Charles, though she could never quite understand his chosen calling, and this difficulty only increased after Barren Pines. But since he doesn't push religion on her, she's willing to put it aside if he is.
Katelyn Caffrey (aunt, deceased): A police officer who was killed in the line of duty when Tara was eleven. Her death shook the whole family, particularly Melanie, who was never comfortable with her little sister's profession. Tara has few vivid memories of her aunt, but remembers a woman who was kind, smart, and energetic.
Evelyn Caffrey (cousin, 21): A customer service call representative and waitress, and a pre-law student at DCU. She has the strange and mysterious ability to make tofu palatable. Tara and Evie were friends when they were little, but had a falling out following Katelyn's death, as they each struggled to deal with what happened. They have since made an attempt to reconnect, and are on positive, if awkward, terms with each other.
Dana Caffrey (cousin, 13): A juvenile delinquent in training, and student at St. Magdalena's Seminary. Possibly a filmmaker in the making, though considering how often she changes her image, Tara's not placing any bets. The two were not particularly close before the Katelyn's death, but now that Tara is trying to make amends with Evie, she's seeing more of Dana. She is also aware of Dana's other identity, and offers sage senshi advice when she can, though she is still rather upset that her baby cousin had to be awakened at all.

we are all connected to each other, biologically to the earth, chemically to the rest of the universe, atomically
Interpersonal Relations
Sailor Senshi: Sailor Chibi Columba: I can't believe this happened again. Nobody I know is safe. Eternal Sailor Thraen: A really smart cookie. He knows a lot about a lot, and has some good ideas, but I'm not sure I'm capable of helping him anymore. Super Sailor Asclepius: She showed me how to get to space, and has some cool resources, and she's pretty nice on top of that! Not-so-Naive Newbie (Super Sailor Chaonis): I definitely owe him for saving my hide. And for letting me yell at him. And for giving me a lot to think about. And saving my hide again. I need to start packing more M&Ms. Sailor Eunomia: At least there's one other senshi who thinks charging into a battle isn't the only option. I wouldn't mind talking to her again. Eternal Sailor Iris: ... okay, I admit it. My mind is blown. Compared to her, I haven't discovered anything! Eternal Sailor Kallichore: People need to trust me when I tell them they don't want to know. I did learn a few things from her, at least. Sailor Sirius: I have to admit, it's kind of fun to lecture a young, upcoming senshi. I wonder what she's doing now? Super Sailor Walküre: A super senshi apparently. Not my favorite person, but she's reasonably reasonable, if a bit of a diva. Sailor Arsinoë: One of the senshi who showed up to help at Aquarius Outpost. Seemed like a smart guy, if a little dependent on technology. Unicorn Senshi? (Super Sailor Pegasus): Another senshi at the rave. A strong one, and pretty decent in a fight. I wouldn't mind working with her again. Eternal Sailor Grus: [in progress]
Knights Hvergelmir of Cosmos: ... this is all my fault. Pharos of Chronos: I like her! She's not pushy, and she even offered to help with my research sometime. Sir Jerk-a-Lot (Nysa of Neptune): Never gonna try to get his help with anything. Jerk. Camelot of Earth: [in progress]
Guardian Cats Zirconia: A kindred spirit, totally. Not to mention a scientific enigma and bundle of laughs. If we work together, there's no telling what we can do! *********> [in progress]
Negaverse: General-King Charonite: I don't fully remember the fire... but I will never forgive him for all of the pain he's caused all of us. I've died too much, now it's his turn. Lieutenant Scheelite: Some idiot who thinks riding a glowstick monster is good strategy. What a fruitcake. Lieutenant Paragonite: Does the Negaverse have a loli fetish or something? That's the only explanation I can see for hiring someone like her.
Civilians Landscape "Laney" Sutton: Easily the coolest person at Barren Pines. I need to do more. I won't give up on you! My best friend, plain and simple. Oh, Laney... nothing's going to be simple anymore. Yvette Weaver: My Jedi Padawan, and other best friend. I didn't even know her at Barren Pines, and now I don't know what I'd do without her. Even though she's graduated and I'm at HITS now, we find ways to stay connected. Andrea Gyfford: A guy in my Spanish class who ended up injured somehow. I helped him out, and invited me to see him dance. Ballet's usually a snore for me, but he's pretty cool. Howl Wickham: An enigma. While I don't really think he's an alien, there's something about him that's definitely off. I intend to find out what. Eleanore "Ellie" Spectre: A pretty cool Meadowview kid. I probably blew her mind a bit with my theories, but it didn't seem to bother her much. Dagmar "Aggie" Thorsen: Another Barren Pines survivor. She seemed pretty cool though, and gave me a great idea for a club! Calintha Johnson: Yet another Barren Pines survivor. It's comforting to know how many people made it out, I guess. She gave me some tips on plants, for which I definitely owe her. Talim Nimmba: A girl with a thing for video games. [in progress] Liliana Jacobs: A master ice skater, at least, compared to me. [in progress] Ridley Pendergast: I hope I didn't hurt you! Sorry! [in progress] Marcella Palomo: Let's hope you have good taste in desserts. [in progress] Esen "Quinn" Saylor: The only one other than me that really takes Science Club seriously, so she gets points for that. With us going to different schools, I'm not sure when I'll get to see her again. Someday. Giselle "Elle" Hammel: Elle's also in the Science Club, but rarely bothers to show up. I know she's smart, so why doesn't she use her brain? ... I don't think I'll ever be able to look at her the same way again. Allistaire "Allie" Silverwood: I guess she's not an alien, just a normal transfer student. Pity. I'm so glad I didn't kill her, but I doubt we'll ever be on good terms, considering what happened. Remington Montgomery: This dude is cool. I mean, he got my thinking right off the bat! According to the list, he made it out! Maybe I'll run into him at school sometime.
Deceased Kimberley "Kimmie" Bennett: Head Cheerleader, with all that the title implies. But she's good, I'll give her that much. Cheerleading just isn't the same without her, but I keep trying. Arastoo Pymedegauso: Quirky little math whiz, this guy. I can't help teasing him. It's just too fun. I hope he didn't take it too personally. Now I'll never get the chance to apologize. Mason Everheart: A fellow Pneumonia House-er, and so-called love dumpling. I'm not sure how he made it so long without dying, but I'm glad he was there with me for a while. I guess they caught up with him in the end. I wish I could have saved him.

science is a collaborative enterprise spanning the generations we remember those who prepared the way seeing for them alsoThe Past and the PresentAquarius Outpost's meta writeup can be found here.
Being born pretty far out into the solar system, Soldier Aquarius felt he had a lot to prove. He was ambitious, but it is difficult to prove oneself when you're stuck holding the line, so did the best he could by being the best damn Zodiac Guardsman he could. Like the rest of the Zodiacs, he took his duty extremely seriously, ambition aside. In addition to being a skilled fighter, he was a capable tactician. He was the serious, studious type who did not rush into battle without at least trying to analyze the situation. And if that failed, trusted his skills to get him through the fight.
When not at war, Soldier Aquarius was a scholar and a researcher, preferring working on his projects to anything that qualified as leisure time. Space was as good a place as anywhere else to pursue his studies, and he had no real problems being stationed out there. While stuffy and something of a stickler for work, Aquarius did get lonely on the line and tried to maintain decent relationships with his fellow Zodiacs. This was difficult when he paid more attention to his projects than his companions, and he was known for being a generally poor conversationalist. While Aquarius was receptive to socializing, he rarely initiated it, and was generally awkward throughout the whole thing, not quite sure how to improve on that aspect of his performance as a Zodiac. In general, he was far better at interacting with scholarly types, being particularly close to Sailor Libra (and possibly enjoying an occasional discussion with Prince Eon?) He fully respected the Captains and Royalty, but was a bit awkward around anyone that he couldn't relate to intellectually. Which doesn't mean he didn't try, just that it may not have gone well.
When given a second chance at life, Aquarius decided to do things differently. This was out of two desires: first, to be more open to people, and second, to have as different a life as possible while maintaining a scholarly interest, to be able to compare and decide what would be best. So Soldier Aquarius became Tara Kavanaugh: female, quirky, and far more outgoing than her counterpart, but still studious when it came down to it and maintaining a passion for science. At heart, Aquarius hasn't changed, only evolved to use different means to the same end. Sometimes the means are not ones Soldier Aquarius would have approved of, and he would never disregard his superiors the way that current Aquarius does, but the times change, and with them, the need for a different approach. Or at least, that's what Aquarius thinks.
Her memories of her past life are rather hazy, due to the fact that Aquarius never paid much attention to what was going on outside his research (something that hasn't changed much with reincarnation). She gets a glimpse now and then, but on the whole, her thoughts and feelings on the matter are as fuzzy as the visions themselves, and she doesn't try too hard to recapture the past. History was never her strong suit, and she much prefers looking to the future.

we must ask ourselves we who are so proud of our accomplishments what is our place in the cosmic perspective of life?
Achievements
Requirements? I have no idea what Zodiac requirements are like, but.

the exploration of the cosmos is a voyage of self-discovery as long as there have been humans we have searched for our place in the cosmosTo-Do List- wrap up old RPs - post-Yvette!plot visit to Laney - waking up solo(s) - Yvette!hospital visit - post-recovery visit to Laney - more RP ♈ ♉ ♊ ♋ ♌ ♍ ♎ ♏ ♐ ♑ ♒ ♓ Tara's plot thread can be found here. About Tara/Aquarius:
Part overzealous researcher, part lazy bum, all attention whore. Tara practically defines "wasted potential" in that she only buckles down and focuses when something really interests her. When it does, she's great to work with, but all other times, she's not only unhelpful, but potentially distracting. She views this as a helpful thing most of the time, because really, you'd much rather be watching movies, right? She's also an unabashed geek, and often speaks in Star Wars metaphors.
As Sailor Aquarius, she has a long way to go to become the Soldier she once was. While she won't hesitate to take out any percieved threats to herself or her Princess, she's also easily distracted, and prone to posturing a la comic book superhero. She loves to lecture talk with newer Senshi and help them get a feel for what they can do, but that's less out of concern and more out of a desire to be idolized. She's also got a fairly powerful physical attack, which anyone who wants to engage in close combat with her should be aware of.
Current Events:
Tara has locked her henshin pen in a box and is avoiding battles at all cost. At this point it's less about a "vacation" and more about fear, but she hasn't quite realized (or let herself realize) this yet. While she's still trying to get out and enjoy herself as much as possible, she's also being eaten away by guilt and worry, and her attempts at leisure are more prone to failure.
Plot Ideas:
- Right now, Tara is focused on living her life as fully as possible. Looking for someone to join you in an activity you deem fun? Tara volunteers! Not the kind of person to ask? Look like you're having fun, and Tara will ask to join you! She may also bail if whatever you're doing isn't as much fun as it looked, or try to bring you in on something she enjoys (lightsaber combat, anyone?) which could also make for interesting RPs. - Tara is still under the strange delusion that if she doesn't transform, she won't be attacked. I would love for this to be prodded before she takes up the pen again, so I'm looking for senshi who want to pull off daring rescues, or Negas who feel like trying for some of her energy. I'd rather she not be seriously injured (yet), since that'll screw up her other plots, but she'll definitely not act like your typical DC civilian if you're up for that! - Got a Meadowview student with an interest in technology? Now that her other extracurricular activity has been put on hold, Tara will be working on founding an A/V Club at school- since getting extra credit for monkeying around with projectors and DVD players is her idea of awesome. If there's enough interest, I'll put up more info about what I had in mind, but in the meantime, she'll try to "recruit" anyone who seems likely. - Other Meadowview RPs! Tara hates school and keeps herself busy talking to as many people as possible. She also may or may not be known around school as one of the victims of the Barren Pines organ ring and/or of the mysterious comas. Due to the amount of school she's missed, she's in classes usually attended by sophomores, juniors, AND seniors, so she can theoretically have class with just about anyone! - Anything else that you think civvie Tara would be up for! Unless it's something REALLY boring, she is generally up for anything. Also, while Aquarius stuff is on hold for now, I am totally up for plotting for when she marches back into battle.
