You're invited! Keep it hush...
Where: An abandoned warehouse just outside of Destiny City. You know the location, and if you don't someone you know certainly does. Bring them along! When: This Saturday! Party starts at the witching hour and goes on 'til dawn! Hope you're good at sneaking around. What: A rave that someone has put great care into organizing from the music to the lights. Everything about the atmosphere is made to make you give in and get loose... And maybe have a little bit of fun in the process. Not for those who can be considered sticks in the mud, this event is only for those with open minds and light hearts.
"Well, this is the spot..." Her eyes went wide for a moment as she slid out of the car, shrugging out of her jacket so that she could leave it sitting on the seat. The last thing she wanted was for it to get lost inside or left behind (even if that would mean having an excuse to buy a new one...). She had her purse, though, water bottle tucked inside along with a little compact mirror and her berry lip gloss. Eyeliner too, just in case it wound up smudged.
Glancing back she stepped to the side so that Demy, Rea and Ume could exit the car as well. There was no way she was going in there without them. Somewhere along the line Ume's anxiousness had rubbed off on her and she was definitely going to need Demetri Wright's unshakable enthusiasm and incredible determination to get her own spine of steel back so that they could all strut in there liked they owned the place.
And hell, looking as good as they did (complete with Demy's blinding blue flannel left in the car), maybe they would own the place.
(( OOC note: I will drop the map in prior to the start of the battle... For now, put yourself inside a warehouse building revamped to be suitable for a night club-like theme. Bright lights, a DJ table, bodies packed closer together and a bar serving bottles of water and drinks that glow bright under black lights to those with a proper form of identification...
Assume that posting order is a bit free-for-all amongst those present until the battle starts, at which time I'll ask that a posting order starts for my own sanity, along with the sanity of others. XD More info will come, again, at the start of the battle. <3 ))

Ume took a steadying breath as she stepped out of the car and moved aside to allow Rea out too. "Ok...we're here..." she said repeating overall what Cordelia had already said like it made it more real. "..Right..." She stared at the building and then glanced at the others. "...Now what? I'm so nervous it's ridiculous!" She laughed.

"I still don't see why I had to leave it in the car man, it was -totally- acceptable for this kind of scene, and it's electric blue! It doesn't get any cooler!" Demy continued his argument even while exiting the car, but at least he was actually leaving said flannel behind. Cordy had won. This time.
"I think you're just jealous Do---Cordy. It was awesome, admit it, maybe I'll get you one for Christmas!" Despite going on and on and on about it, he didn't seem upset. Not about the shirt at least. This still sucked, big time. Really he should be back at the hospital trying to sneak his way into Z's room or something. Not out partying! It just...it felt wrong.
But he was here, and he might as well make the best of it. The smile on his face wasn't the most genuine one he'd ever made, but it was likely only those that knew him and his sugar-addictions well that'd be able to tell the difference.

Another girl slid out from the back seat of the car as it came to a stop, following Ume out and coming to stand next to her. Despite being dressed primarily in black with teal and pale blue accents, she seemed fairly comfortable in the clothes, albeit a little out of place. The messy, raver style was certainly a jump from the pale blue uniforms of Crystal Academy.
"The lights are going to give us seizures," Rea replied to no one in particular, her eyes focused on the place. One would usually expect a worried or snide tone to the statement, but in the case the redhead's expression and tone seemed to be merely informative and neutral. Ok, well, perhaps not completely neutral. There was definitely a slightly skeptical hint to her tone, and her expression was a little flat. But for the MOST part it was a purely observational comment.

Tate had had a busy night. First, getting out of the house; not that hard, actually, since no one was home on Saturdays except her. Then, breaking Parker out of Hillworth, no small feat, but manageable. The problem had been actually finding the place, mostly because she tended to forget the difference between left and right when it actually mattered.
Women drivers, right?
Still, they'd gotten there on time, to the right place and in one piece, which was more than she would have normally asked for herself. For once, she had appreciated Mariska's usual urging to go shopping, and had used the money to buy--not Burberry or whatever--a different outfit for this particular party. She had been to enough parties--junior prom, anyone?--to know she wouldn't need her jacket; she left it on the console between her seats, locked the doors and smiled over the car at Parker.
"Come on. Perk up, it's a party." Tate was feeling much better, with the prospect of being somewhere where no one knew her; she was practically abnormally peppy. This was the good part of being eighteen and legally emancipated, the wild and crazy warehouse parties, right? She rounded the car, tucking her keys into her pants pocket.

It hadn't taken Parker much convincing to break out of Hillworth. At this point in his high school career, it never did. It was his own personal brand of senioritis. For a rave? Parker was actually intrigued. Much better than a keg party or costume ball. Plus, the electronic music was a bonus.
He put on a pair of dark jeans and a long sleeve black t-shirt. That was rave-ish, right? Parker was lacking in the neon-colored coloring department so he went with a more monochromatic palette. His jacket was army green and frayed at the edges, but once they got there (in one piece, surprisingly), he followed Tate's lead and left it in the car.
"Do you know the people throwing this?" he asked, sliding up beside her. If he was talking to Dani, he probably wouldn't be here in some shady warehouse. He would have stayed in bed to text her until she fell asleep. The idea was painful and Parker shook it out of his head. "Goddamn, who cares. Let's get a drink."

((placed pre-awakening for Jada. *note to self and others*))It had been easy for Jada to find a way to get here. She'd claimed she couldn't go home for the weekend; claimed she needed to study. Her father was proud that she wasn't willing to accept a B and would actually study, her mother didn't much care as she was going to the 'spa.'
Ah well.
This was her first party like this, the first time she'd dared to wear an outfit like this, and it thrilled her. It was a warehouse party. She was in a little red dress her father would never find out about, her long hair straightened and pulled back into a tight ponytail, only a few perfect ringlets around her face. At least the boots balanced out the short, lacy dress; the black leather boots went up to her knees, the heel adding another inch or two to her height. She had a small black purse that could wrap around her wrist filled with the bare minimum- lipstick, mascara, her wallet, a very good fake ID, the ever-present cellular phone, and a small canister of pepper spray.
She slid out of the cab confidently, tossing the driver a fifty as she got out and assuring him there was at least twice that if he stayed to wait for her. Purple eyes caught on other people moving in to the party and she slipped in among them. The inside of the warehouse awed her. So much color, and it was very well done. She actually felt almost overdressed for a moment, however, looking over the brightly dressed teenagers. The only thing that glowed on her were the small diamonds in her ears.
And the music was positively enthralling.
Jada looked around, intently, eyes peering through the vibrant color and crowd to find someone (anyone!) she knew.

"You had to leave it in the car because you'd be heartbroken if you got too warm and you took it off and lost it. Right? Then I'd have to buy you a new one and I really don't want that showing up on any receipts for purchases that I make..." Her nose wrinkled slightly although it was clear she was teasing him in that special way they had with each other... Although it almost became serious business when he almost called her Dolly, but luckily for him he corrected himself.
"Now... We go inside." She grinned as she took Ume by the hand and Demy by the wrist, trusting Ume to grab Rea so that they could all head in together while resisting the urge to sing 'We're Off to See the Wizard' if only because that could possibly open the debate of who was which character. "This is going to be great, you'll see. They'll stamp our hands at the door (I bet the ink glows) and then we can dance... Can't you just feel the music?"

Toby facepalmed.
Or rather, he would have, had he not been swept by another wave of overly-ripe teenagers. Well, they weren't kidding when they said they wanted to 'bring something new' into Destiny City. Curiousity had dragged him here: nothing said blatantly obvious like a lone warehouse in the middle of nowhereland, complete with not-so-subtle flashing lights and of course, the poster he had been forced to take from some shady person - the irony of the statement did not go unnoticed here.
Crumbling the paper claiming said 'Bringing something new into Destiny City!', he sighed and tried his best to slip out of growing crowd. One procurement of someone's carelessly pocketed wallet and cell phone later, he felt a little better. Teenagers were the worst when it came to keeping their own stuff, especially-
- Toby stopped dead on his tracks. It wasn't even the car that had pulled in that had stopped him, or the girls who had stepped out. No: he instead was staring at the one, singular, boy, and their one, singular, unmistakable voice. Was that..... Demy?
Okay, now things were getting interesting. As casually as one possibly could be in such a situation, he kept one eye on the quartet, following them as slowly as possible in attempts to avoid being noticed, even as they swept into aforementioned warehouse. Well, out of the pot and into the fire?

There were lots of ways to deal with emotional stress. Tara's mother had recommended therapy. Her father had recommended extracurricular activities. Her brother knew better than to recommend anything, but constantly let her know he was there if she needed anything, from an ear to a ride to a willing participant in experiments- the last offered only as a last resort.
As usual, Tara followed nobody's advice. Instead, she snuck out of the house and hailed a cab to the middle of nowhere. It wasn't really sneaking when her brother wasn't even home, but pulling an all-nighter at the library, but Tara was in the mood to be daring. If she was going to a rave, she was going to sneak out to get there.
The evening was brisk, so she had pulled on her star-spangled hoodie over a tank top splashed with homemade fluorescent paint. Her glowsticks were homemade too, plastic test tubes filled with liquid in a muddy yellow-green that nonetheless glowed quite brightly. In a holster tied to a loop on her jeans was one of her lesser lightsabers, a toy that she modded to have brighter light and slightly shorter extension. If glowing things were what raves were about, Tara was prepared.
She was prepared for the music as well, and the crowd. What she wasn't quite prepared for was the kinds of people that showed up. She knew this was supposed to be big, but judging by the dresses on a couple of the girls, Tara thought she saw Crystallites in there. At a warehouse party! With all these different people, she would have to find someone to take her mind off other things.
Checking the bars on her phone to make sure she had a signal, Tara slipped it back into her pocket and joined the crowd swarming the door. "Charming place they've got here," she remarked to the nearest person. "Sure know how to make a girl feel welcome."

A night on the town? Hell yes-- by all means. During one of her Lieutenant runs she had stumbled upon a interesting poster, tossed aside and forgotten the bold and horrendous font color had grabbed her attention like green on grass. A rave? She shouldn't be surprised- just acts of the underground teenage community wanting to get wasted and defy the law. Who the hell was she to judge? Toki wanted in.
She arrived at the rave wearing things she normally hid deep into the back of her closet. She didnt get a chance to dust off the black material too often- nor her corset. She failed to see the point of wearing a corset mostly- she was thin and had tiny boobs so they didnt really aid her. This time, she would just wear it for the aesthetics. She did not tie the thing too tightly- she did not want broken ribs tonight.
Heels clicking as she entered the party she was soon blasted with loud music, the smell of booze and sweat from the dance floor, and in general a living hell.
She loved it.
Her mind was both set on two things at the moment- work... and just letting loose. She hadn't done so in a while. No chairs were available- so she settled for making a make-shift one and pulled herself up onto the edge of the wall that was sticking out. She wasn't bee lining for the dance floor immediately, instead she would study her surroundings.

A night on the town? 'Girl', she had told the waitress on at her last concert she had attended, 'there's never a night when I'm not on the town.'
Wherever the party was, she was there.
She had arrived at this party long before, and now she sat there sipping from her drink- a sweet alcoholic beverage she had no idea what the hell it was. Having brought an adorable torn black mini dress the week before, she had decided this would have been the perfect opportunity to showcase that body of hers.
And as usual, her looks never failed to disappoint. She marveled in the attention, as the boys took one look at her legs and started to whisper among themselves. But being the boys they were, neither of them manned up enough to ask her to the dance floor.
Oh well, boys would be boys, she chuckled.
A smile played on her lips, as she set down her drink to observe the crowd. Kids left and right that seem to be straight for the dance floor- something Varete would normally have done, if she didn't fear being stepped on by their clumsy feet.
"Some dancing, huh." She said aloud, to no one in particular as her fingers strummed against the table in an impatient manner.

Their hands were stamped at the door, and a quick glance once inside did show a glowing star pattern alongside the word 'admit', something that she was certain Demy would appreciate if he took a moment to stop moping long enough to look down. Despite her original selfish reasons for inviting him, she really did want him to be a little bit happier now. Demetri Wright just wasn't himself when he wasn't bouncing off the wall to a defined beat with glowing things held tightly in his hands.
The small group they'd formed stuck together for a bit, entertaining a few laughs as they all settled into the atmosphere, some of them easier than others (herself being one of them after a bit). Eventually the beat of a familiar song caught up with her and she grabbed Ume by the hand so that she could drag the other girl out to the dance floor with her. This time she wouldn't take 'no' for an answer. They were here to have fun after all.

Rea glanced down in a half-interested manner as the bouncer stamped her hand at the door, noticing the glowing ink and then forgetting it not a moment later, stepping into the throbbing air of the club. Everything about it screamed primal and exotic, the beat of the music matching the beat of the hearts within the walls, bodies moving along with it. Everything was close and hot, and the strawberry blonde girl felt as if she were drowning in air, barely able to keep her head above the water as flashing lights and the smell of alcohol hit her head-long. It was interesting -- everything needed a second look, blue-green eyes circling the club slowly, lingering on an object or person as the group moved deeper into the place.
Interesting was a good word for it. It wasn't exactly her thing... but she liked it. She thought.
Letting Ume's hand slip from her own, Rea took a step back as the two girls decided to go dance, glancing over at the blonde introduced to her as Demy to see if he was going to stick with her or go his own way, letting him know with a look he could follow if he wanted before turning away. The music was pulsing, and surprisingly there was an impulse to dance, but in the end discomfort won out, not wanting to dance alone. Instead, she headed towards a wall, needing something to rest against. She settled for what seemed to be the bar, resting her arms on it, making sure to give the girl resting on it a fair bit of distance.
Taking a sip from the bottled water she had brought, she jumped a little as Varete spoke, staring at her thoughtfully for a few seconds before speaking.
Hey wait... wasn't she...?
"Have we met?"

Ume gave a startled laugh as she was hauled to the dance floor, casting a last look over her shoulder at Rea to make sure she was ok. The music was loud, the lights were odd and sudden but there was such an energy to the atmosphere. She could see why this would be so fun and addictive.
"This is SO different!" She called as loud as she could. "Thank you got bringing us!"
