It wasn't the hospital itself that bothered Tara. Hospitals were fascinating places, full of advances in science that were once thought to be impossible. Hospitals broke rules of convention regularly. But they had plenty of other rules, including one that stated that patients had to be fully recovered before they could be released. And luckily for her, her parents agreed.
For a patient, Tara was not very patient. As soon as her parents went back to the hotel for a shower and change of clothes, she snuck out of her room, dragging along her IV stand and accidentally mooning the nurse's station. So much for a clean getaway.
"If you don't want to get flashed, give us clothes that tie in the back!" Tara called to the nurses yelling at her to 'get back in your room right now, young lady.' She ducked around a corner and into the first room she came across, flashing an anxious look at the occupant. Someone she felt she could recognize, but again fell short of coming up with a name. Sometimes it sucked having a bad memory for people.
Even though she didn't know this person, she dragged the IV inside and set it behind a curtain, pulling it across so that all that showed was her head. "Can I hide in here for a bit? People have no sense of humor, I swear. Did you go to school- I mean, were you part of the organ trafficking too?"
