So far, going outside after dark hadn't gotten Aquarius killed. That didn't mean it wouldn't, and she wasn't about to let her guard down just because she had gotten lucky. But the fact remained that she had been lucky, extremely so. She had met people who had provided useful information, facts that she had missed during her hiatus or that she just hadn't cared enough about to pick up the first time. She was in a better place, mentally and emotionally, than she had been in a while.
It was time to try a patrol.
It was a fairly cautious patrol, all things considered. Aquarius kept to the tops of buildings, wanting to have the advantage if she came across anything. "Maybe nothing will happen," she told herself encouragingly. Unfortunately, she was familiar with her own tactics, and wasn't buying it.

Or something could totally happen. Zippeite was out for a stroll again, reveling in the freedom of being allowed to live at home again and able to patrol freely. And these days, with his wins and losses tapering off at breaking even, he was more or less hunting.
He picked up the aura of a senshi and summoned his weapon. He didn't plan to hesitate with a lot of chit chat so he had it at the ready before it hit him it wasn't that mundane of a senshi.
She was different.
But he still had his weapon in hand when he approached with a blunt, "Who are you?"

Really? Really? Why did she even bother at this point? The only thing that made Aquarius not run away immediately was the fact that the energy signal wasn't all that strong. She was more powerful than this person. If she had to, she could overpower him and get away. Taking him out didn't even occur to her. But she was kind of curious what sort of soldiers the Negaverse was churning out these days.
Ignorant ones, apparently. "Don't you guys have wanted posters or something?" she shot back, not turning to face him yet. "Negaverse Most Wanted not on the air anymore? 'Cause if the target's off my back, I'm sure as heck not about to paint a new one." If the Zodiacs weren't being singled out for attack, that was fine with her.
Then she turned, and saw the soldier close up. Including his weapon. "Now that's just not right." She gestured at it impatiently. "You're not allowed to have a green one. Green is for Jedi Consulars. Peacekeepers. Are you trying to tell me that you're here to be peaceful? Seriously?"
In other situations, Aquarius might have known better than to heckle the enemy, but her sense of order was upset by this guy. If his lightsaber was red, she wouldn't have any problems with him, aside from a bit of jealousy. It was so unfair that the bad guy got a cool weapon, and she was stuck with nothing.

"What're you sayin'?" Zippeite paused and glared. "Because all I'm hearing is 'blah blah I'm important'." Yes, complaining about being wanted for death just sounded like a stealth brag. He could only dream of so much fame and recognition. It at least meant someone was noticing him.
He did spare a dumbfounded look down at his weapon. What the <********> was she talking about? Counselors? Like school counselor? He wasn't as in to Star Wars as this chick.
"Yeah and what's your big thing?" He asked, sticking his tongue out at her. "Senshi of glitter?"

"I am absolutely not important," Aquarius said quickly. Why did she have to open her big mouth? If she wasn't careful she was going to end up dead again. This was exactly the reason she had run away from her responsibilities. Now she knew it wasn't an option, but the temptation was still there, waiting to consume her just as it had back then.
How was she going to convince this guy she was a nobody? "I, uh, I was just surprised you guys don't know your enemies better than you do. But hey, who'm I to talk? I don't know you either." Nor did she particularly want to, but the lightsaber had made her curious. And jealous. Really, really jealous.
Normally she would have corrected him right away when he guessed her sphere, but now she was cautious and wary of showing her cards. Even her powered identity needed to be secret, if he was going to hold a grudge. "Sure, glitter, let's go with that. So, I'm glitter and you are...?"

so clearly more incompetent?
"To be honest, I just want to know if you're going to hit me with sleeping powder or something before I get the chance to turn your brain into smashed hamburger on the sidewalk," He said, gripping the lightsaber like he was going to swing at any moment, in spite of clearly not being in swinging distance yet.
"I don't actually care."

For a moment Aquarius considered pressing him, but she decided his name wasn't really important. He was probably a nobody, judging from his power signature and the way he'd reacted to her comments. Not the sort of person she really needed to worry about, but that didn't mean she was going to be careless either.
"So, I'm Glitter and you're Baffled. Cool, why not?" That, she decided, would be her codename for any time she felt uncomfortable with her real identity. Which was most of the time. Baffled's hostility was kind of baffling to her, though. "Do you want to be hit with sleeping powder?" Not that she could do that sort of thing, but he clearly didn't know that. He seemed to be kind of slow, really.
She held her hands out in front of her, in the universal sign for 'I'm not carrying a big weapon,' and looked him over again. "Take it easy, uh, Waffled." Aquarius was really bad with names. "In case you haven't noticed yet, I'm just a bit stronger than you are. And I was just here for some information. Since you don't have what I'm looking for, I'll be moving along, okay?" It was hard to balance her desire to sound nonthreatening and unimportant with the fact that she was more powerful, but she thought she'd done a reasonable job of it.

Her treatment and dismissiveness of his threatening demeanor was just insulting. He wasn't the biggest, scariest negaverser around, but he had grown a solid two inches in the last few months! And besides, he kicked the crap out of Virtus, who wasn't too far away from this level.
Though, Virtus didn't fight back.
"I don't think so," He snarled. She honestly could've said anything and he would've taken it as an insult, but she had to throw in her weird power level and the jab landed, at least in his head.
He didn't have much more to say, lightsaber in hand like a baseball bat, he charged, blatantly and without much intent besides collision.

So much for that. Really, Aquarius hadn't expected to be able to just walk away. Even if she wasn't up on a wanted poster anyway, she still had a powered aura, which meant that somebody was going to want her dead. But this guy was kind of weak and clueless and had a lightsaber, so she had hoped she'd be able to avoid fighting him. Apparently, he had other plans.
"Okay, fine." Aquarius waited until the little guy was closer, then leaped off to the side. "You're not wielding that thing right. You're not supposed to clobber people with a lightsaber, it's a more elegant weapon than that."
Instructing the enemy on the proper form of lightsaber combat was a pretty bad idea, but seeing him use her beloved weapon in such a way hurt. And as long as she kept talking- and dodging- she could pretend this wasn't a real fight.
