((This is an ORP for anyone affiliated with the Zodiac Court including the Knights, the Senshi, the Princess, and the seasonal Senshi. There is no posting order, this is a fun meet and greet.))

As the Knights of Chronos and Zodiac Senshi next powered up, they would find this note waiting for them:

“deer kronos nites and shenshy senshi senshy,

hi it is ricky troy. we shud hang out soon. i am going to throw a party. u r all welcome to come. it is at my house.

- ricky”

Moments later, they would receive a second letter.

“hi its me again. this is ricky. i forgot to say where I live.”

A third note would then arrive with the actual address included.

-------

His apartment was a small little studio with hardly any furniture. There was a little kitchenette as you first enter with a broken oven, a battered microwave and a mini-fridge stocked with cold cheap beers, string cheese and a stale loaf of bread. The rest of the apartment was quite dull - a mattress on a floor with an old laptop playing Bruce Springsteen songs on repeat on top of it. There was a small coffee table with a sofa, the coffee table topped with a bottle of whiskey and a bowl of chips with open tobacco dip by its side - the only dip Ricky had in the apartment. Other than that there was just a dresser, a nightstand and a twenty-year-old television. There was also a box of the board game Monopoly, but he had lost the board to play on long ago.

The door was left wide open for anyone to enter as he waited for his guests to arrive, sipping on one of his beers.

Zue stared at the note he was given, though truth be told a more accurate description of what he was doing would be glaring. Deer? Kronos? Nites? What in the Princess' name was this a*****e trying to---

Eugh. No. Shh. Calm your tail fluff.

He almost didn't come, but notes wouldn't stop coming; there were only three, but that was at least two too many for his liking. It was like that scene in Harry Potter with all the letters, as far as he was concerned. Yet there he was, as Sue, looking between the paper and the apartment building, looking about as happy as the person drafted to clean the cages at the local zoo. He remembered Ricky. He liked Ricky...as much as he could like someone, anyway. Besides, he hadn't been to a party in a long time...and he'd been cooped up for months.

Sue climbed the stairs instead of taking the elevator, trying to take his dear sweet time in getting there. Which seemed futile as he stepped through the wide open door to realize that he was, in fact, the first one there.

"Aww <********>!" He announced his displeasure along with his arrival, bunching up the paper with the address on it. Now to find the host... "Ricky?"

Menthe Sylvia, the petite young woman beneath the meek Concordia, appeared at the given address but it was almost certainly against her will. In fact.. when she'd received the barrage of letters her first thought had been to throw them in the trash and pretend they never arrived. No wait.. that was her second thought. Her first thought involved a mild cringe and an attempt not to spell check and correct everything in the messages that bastardized the English language.

But in the end she'd done neither.. simply frown at the letters for a very long time. Oh she'd tried to think of a way out it. Parties were scary.. So loud.. and full of people.. and messy. And just.. social. Simple enough, she did not like them. But then... it might make Troy really sad if she didn't come. Plus everyone else might think that she was really really horrible and not doing her job if she avoiding coming. And besides.. Troy probably did put a lot of work into putting the whole thing together.. so how could she not go?

One glance through the wide open door was enough to make her immediately regret and rethink everything. Shrinking in on her already tiny self she drew back from the door momentarily, taking in a deep breath as she almost dropped the bakery box she'd brought along with her. Her shoes seemed to rub and tap against each other as she fidgeted nervously.

It was horrifying. Absolutely horrifying. And it took every ounce of strength she had to finally step in through the doorway and into the room. That also seemed to be about the time that strength left her, leaving her standing there, just a step or two inside the room frozen like a deer in headlights.

At least there were only two people there so far, the room wasn't totally crowded. But on that same note.. it probably made it less likely to avoid conversation... And they were both guys.. and one of them was.. pretty big looking even despite sitting down.

Her hands stretched out a little, as if trying to will the fancy cupcakes to find someplace clean to lay themselves, and she half smiled, half grimaced, trying very hard not to throw up.

A hand landed on Menthe's shoulder.

"Ah, Menthe, darling, so glad to see you here."

From around behind her, the green eyed, glasses-wearing, freckled face of Fritz St. James appeared, a smile on his face as he dropped his hand and slipped it into the pocket of his pants like his other one. He was dressed rather casually, in a pair of nice fitting khaki pants, a white teeshirt, patterned sweater vest, and tan boat shoes - and the only thing that looked somewhat out of place were the paint stains that were spread over his fingers and most of his hands, a few dots along his wrists as well.

Fritz had gotten the message - or rather, messages, like everyone else, and considering the fact that he had been rather AWOL for quite a long while, due to Tolliver's accident, he thought this to be a good chance to get out and have a breather of sorts. He felt somewhat guilty about not participating in any of his duties for such a time, but considering that his twin brother had been in the hospital for all this while, he felt it a rather good reason for not being active.

Now, with Tolliver out of the hospital and back at their flat, Fritz was quite ready to go back to work and back to his normal, every day life.

...well. As normal as it could get, under the circumstances. And at least he wouldn't have to fly back to England to fetch their parents. Mum would have a cow if she knew, he thought, shaking his head, but he banished the negative thoughts and instead squeezed Menthe's shoulder reassuringly, flashing her another smile.

"Ah, Ricky," said Fritz, moving past Menthe to lift a hand in greeting to the young man sitting on the couch. "How's it going?"

There was another young man in the room as well, but Fritz did not recognize him. However, he smiled pleasantly at the both of them.

When the first letter came, Tara had thought someone had gotten their wires crossed. She didn't know anyone named Ricky. Or Troy, at least that she could remember. She certainly didn't know anyone by either of those names well enough to expect party invitations from them. At first, she didn't think she knew what a "kronos nite" was, and it wasn't until the second note arrived that she realized what the writer meant. In her defense, she was still getting used to the idea of Chronos Knights, and didn't know any of them personally yet, having missed the last Zodiac meeting on account of being a cat at the time.

It figured, then, that this Ricky, or Troy, or whatever his name was, was one of these newfangled Chronos Knights. Which, she supposed with a smirk, made her a "senshy." Fine, she could accept that. But why was he inviting her to a party? Tara liked people, but the Zodiacs made her edgy, and she didn't really socialize much with her teammates. Which, she supposed, was why she now didn't know most of them.

That was probably a bad thing. Tara acknowledged her failings calmly; at this point they were just grains of sand on a beach of mistakes and disasters. The question was, did she want to do anything about it? She'd been doing pretty well for herself as a cowardly misanthrope lately. When it came to human contact, she had Kent, and Laney, and Yvette. She wasn't sure she wanted to put herself in a room with other people who expected her to fight and would be disappointed and upset with her if- or rather, when- she couldn't. For all she knew, what was noted as a "party" was in fact a cunningly-disguised training exercise, or worse, another meeting like that debacle the other day. Tara shivered at the thought. If something like that happened again, so soon, she would absolutely fall apart.

So why am I here? she asked herself irritably, holding the third note out to make sure she had the right address. The fact that she didn't have a concrete answer irritated her even more. She was compelled to come, for the same reason she listened to Chronos' requests, for the same reason that she went on patrol, albeit very infrequently, even though it terrified her. Why did she feel bound to duty she didn't ask for, and to people she barely knew? Maybe, she hoped, she would find out there.

Before she got to the apartment, Tara froze. The door was open, a young woman standing in the doorway. She looked vaguely familiar, but not enough for Tara to know her name or anything about her. Beyond the woman, further into the apartment, were three guys. One was Zue- or rather, Sue. The other two were total strangers. She wracked her brain, but couldn't remember even seeing them before, much less who they might be.

Other than Sue, Tara didn't recognize anyone, and had no idea what to do. So she slipped away, before anyone had time to notice her skulking in the hallway. Maybe she would come back later, after more familiar faces had time to arrive. Or maybe not. She knew she was running away from her problems again, but it felt so much easier than facing them head-on, and old habits were so hard to break.

[I'm leaving for Otakon tonight and probably won't have time to reply while I'm gone, so please don't come after Tara or engage her! I'll toss her back in if this is still going when I get back, but I wanted to respond to it before I left. <3]

It had taken Mary "Arga" Tunith longer than necessary to read the letters Ricky had sent her. Perhaps it was the lack of full words or punctation. Once she finally decipher the words (which help from one of her RP buddies) she replied with a simple "See you there!" and made plans to get ready. She'd found it without much problem, though she did get a few odd stares along the way. It was probably the skipping and shoulder fluffing.

She bounded up next to Fritz and smiled at him. Last time she'd seen him he'd been a cat. She wore a very simple dress in beigh, with a magenta sash tied around her waist. A gryphon backpack-purse flopped behind her. Her blonde hair was cut short again around her ears, and she did her usual head tilting thing in greeting.

"Hi!" she said with a cheerful smile. She held her hand out to Menthe. "Mary Tunith! I'm one of the Knights." She wiggled her fingers where her ring sat as if that would make it true. Even though it was true. She glanced around the room and looked at the only other person she didn't know (since she assumed the one drinking beer was Ricky) for a moment before turning back to Menthe.

"Hey ya'll, I'm Ricky if yer don't know," Ricky waved at his guests as he rose from his seat, offering them a place to sit. They could sit on the battered couch - careful for the sticky stain of spilled soda! - or on the mattress on the floor with unmade sheets that probably should have been changed last month. "Ya'll can take a seat, wherevers you want is fine. I got some chips and dip out, and there's beer in the fridge. Help yourselves."

He paused and scratched his head. Were all of these guests old enough to drink? s**t, he was a horrible party host. "Erm, there's also water in the sink in the bathroom if you don't drink if ya want...but I wouldn't."

Don't drink the water from that sink.

"So yer Mary," he said, pointing at Mary, then pointing to Fritz and Menthe. "Fritz I remember, and then Menthe...and erm..." His finger waggled at Zue. "I dunno you."

Aurelia picked up her phone as it buzzed, expecting that it was yet again another text complaining about the exorbitant price of insurance in Destiny City. It certainly wasn't her idea to relocate their business to DC with her past and all, but he had decided that private investigations in to fraud and infidelity could almost certainly be used in DC, and he wanted to branch out in to personal bodyguards which was actually a sound business plan. Nothing Aurelia could think of would sway him, because there wasn't really anything wrong with his plan, other than landing her right back in to the heart of battle, and feeling like she had left that situation far behind. So she kept her mouth shut and planned the company move, making all the necessary arrangements, including her own. There was, of course, the fact that she could at any point move on-- she had been an excellent personal assistant that had proved absolutely indispensable her original employer, so much so that he took her on as his business partner in his current endeavor. But she was finding it hard to find the words to quit; she liked her job and she had old colleagues from DC that she could call in favours to, not to mention her own family business. All in all, the only downside was the reason she had left in the first place, but she hadn't expected that call to come so soon.

And so frightfully inept at compulsory english skills.

Staring at the texts, she knew that she could simply leave things alone, and move in secret through DC. It was a big city, and she generally moved in different circles than the rest of the Zodiacs. But there was always that chance that she would run in to someone, that she would accidentally meet someone who had once known her, and then she would feel embarrassed about her lack of duty. Being away from DC had helped assuage that guilt, had helped her cope while denying a part of her existence in order to try and live a normal life. But back in Destiny City? The shame of not doing what you are supposed to do, what some people would consider their "destiny" was too much to bear.

"c u" was her succinct text back to the unknown number, and she briefly checked her hair in the mirror before sliding herself in to her trench coat and heading out to the address in an area of town she would not have normally moved in.

There were few people inside the slightly ratty apartment (though it was probably someone of post-secondary age with little personal income) and she barely recognized anyone, save for their plum haired guardian, but even then she didn't know him well outside of briefly chatting at Barren Pines.

She took the host at his word, grabbed a beer, and perched herself on the lip of a table, sipping thoughtfully at her beverage. Uncertain about the crowd and whether this was simply a party or a meeting, Aurelia just gave everyone in the room a leveling stare, trying to work out who they could possibly be.

Probably something called Kronos Nites.

A hand clamped on her shoulder, and a familiar face drew her attention, the edges of her lips creeping quickly upwards. Fritz! To many people what they had would probably barely be considered a friendship, but to the antisocial Menthe their few meetings in the surrounding were something strange and meaningful to her. Yep. Jade and Fritz were pretty much the only people she could remember in a long time speaking with for more then one brief and forced conversation.

That was right... Whether they knew each other yet or not.. all of the people here were supposed to be friends. Not people she should be afraid of. The number of them was perhaps overwhelming, what would she do with that many friends? But regardless, the small reassurance had gone a long way, and she finally broke from her statue like stillness. A hand even lifted in greeting to Mary, thought her voice remained mouse quiet. "Menthe" Their host received a mild bowing of her head before she finally made her way over to a counter to set her box down on.

The cupcakes were from a bakery nearby, beautiful gourmet little gems in sharp contrast to their surroundings. She'd spent more then she should have on them, but that was okay. They made her feel more comfortable as she picked one up, carefully peeling at the pretty paper. Eating fancy food was her form of relaxation and splurging, and even though it usually happened in fancy little resturants. But oh well. The mixture of unique flavors as she picked at a small piece and shoved it past her lips was enough to distract her.

Chronos had thought that it was cute.

It actually brought a smile to her face as she read Troy's note; something she desperately needed. Ever since the day of the Senshi meeting, Chronos had been troubled. Pacing up and down, agonizing over what to do about Endymion and whether or not he could be trusted... all of it gave her a massive headache that frustrated her so much that she couldn't even play the piano properly. And that disheartened her even more.

A party, she figured. would be a good way to see the whole Court again, and for the moment, halt her constant worrying. And so, Serenade Soriano turned up at the address Ricky had sent them with a bag of cookies in hand. It was certainly not her neighborhood, and it had taken her awhile to figure out how exactly to get there. But when she finally arrived, she was just in time to hear Ricky point at a certain purple-haired boy, whose presence made her face light up completely.

"Zue!" Serenade squealed in delight, hopping over to give him a hug. "I've missed you!" A quick glance around and she saw another she hadn't seen in a long time either, and the smile on her face grew. "Aurelia! You're here too!" And now, Serenade was practically bouncing in delight and feeling as though she was on cloud nine, which was something she hadn't experienced in quite a while.

If someone else she had grown out of touch with turned up next, she was probably going to burst into tears of happiness.

Sue Gottschalk looked over his shoulder, feeling the presence of one of his own in the hallway; but nobody came in and, indeed, they seemed to be retreating. Oh well, bye Tara~

So many others on his radar; it was weird to have so many of his people in the same room. Overwhelming, almost. But he managed to keep himself from just leaving, to endure...probably because there was a promise of beer. He was just about to take him up on the offer of the alcohol in the fridge when he found fingers being waggled at him. Blue eyes ared, completely unimpressed, at the motion.

"Guess that means you should be more careful who you invite~" Sue snorted, tossing the crumpled up directions at Ricky. "I'm---" And then Serenade happened. The girl squealed and nearly pounced on him, his arms going around her instinctually. For a moment, his sour look fled for something more fond; ahh, he missed her. "Princess." Was all the greeting she was going to get. A hug was given and he leaned away as if nothing happened, his arms folding as if to block any further assaults of affection.

But with Chronos here, he did decide to be a little nice. An unamused stare was turned on Ricky, once more looking him over. "Sue Gottschalk...or Zue. Beer's in the fridge, right?" Without missing a single beat - or pausing long enough to take a breath - he pointed at the fridge and headed on over.
PostPosted: Sat Jul 28, 2012 8:19 pm

Ricky's short tempers almost flared at the attitude the boy was ready to give him, but his temper cooled just as the other boy's attitude did.

"Princess?" Ricky arched a brow as he looked at the green-haired beauty. Oh, s**t. He had wondered if she was going to come, but he had no idea that she actually would! He bowed his head down to her, unsure of the protocol of greeting royalty in your own home, especially when nobody is powered up. "An honor to have you here."

He gave a slight confirming nod to Zue as the boy headed toward the fridge. He looked at one of the girls - Aurelia - with uncertainty. "Ricky," he waved to her, wondering her own name.

Menthe - who he also knew as Concordia - was quiet as usual. "Gotta speak up, girl." Of course, that was much easier for Ricky to say who always spoke at maximum volume. "Got nothin' to be shy about, it ain't like you talk like some kind of erm, uh, erm....uh, a idiot or nothin'."

Fritz smiled sunnily at the dark haired girl that arrived next, lifting his hand to give her a small wave in greeting before he heard a familiar voice somewhere beside him. He glanced down, brows lifting at the sight of the pale, blonde-haired young woman, and then grinned, reaching out to slide an arm around her shoulders.

"Mary, my darling, it's delightful to see you," he said cheerfully. "Ah, but you look lovely in that dress, it's quite your color. I am uncertain as to what to make of that truly unique, er, thing you have on your back, but whatever it is, it suits you."

He was, of course, referring to the backpack, which Fritz was scrutinizing rather carefully when he heard the southern twang of the only other man in the room besides himself. He lifted his head and gave their host a mock salute in greeting, grinning.

"Ah, Ricky, yes, I'm afraid out of the knights of Chronos so far, we are the only two males, it seems."

He waggled his eyebrows obnoxiously, but it was clear that he was making light, and he squeezed Mary's shoulder affectionately, giving Menthe a bright, reassuring smile as though to encourage her just a bit more, understanding how shy and reserved she was normally. He patted her shoulder as he squeezed past her, making his way towards the fridge where he pulled out a bottle of beer, using the counter to pop the top off it. He was not a drinker normally, but this was a special occasion, and he was most likely not going to imbibe too much.

"You," said Fritz, somewhat melodramatically, as he pointed a finger at Aurelia. "I haven't met you yet, darling, what's your name?"

Except he was somewhat distracted by the "princess" that he heard coming from the violet haired boy, and Fritz whirled around on his heels, catching sight of the pale haired young woman. Carefully he moved towards her, waiting until she was less occupied before he reached out and took her hand, ducking to press a quick and playful kiss to the back of it.

"Ah, Princess," he said, and smiled. "It is always such a delight to see you, especially when you are looking so well."

Serenade could only beam happily as Zue returned the hug; while it was brief, it was how Zue had always been and she loved her grumpy cat the way he was. She was content enough to see him again, finally, after what seemed like forever! An eyebrow was quirked slightly as he headed off to get beer, and Serenade briefly contemplating what it would be like to have a drunk Guardian Cat.

Not that she had actually seen anyone drunk before, but still!

Zue addressing her as the Princess had made the others refer to her as such as well, and Serenade flushed slightly in embarrassment. "Serenade Soriano." She introduced, with a slight bow of her head towards Ricky. "Thank you for arranging this party, Ricky! Uh... I brought some cookies!" With that, she held the bag out, only to be distracted as Fritz took her other hand to greet her.

"You look well too!" She replied, a hand touching his cheek. "I'm glad to see you're not harmed after the whole... meeting." She didn't want to dwell too much on that though! Parties were supposed to be happy, not for them to sit around and bemoan about their troubles as a Senshi.

Holiday Jones hadn't powered up... well... practically since she'd gotten home. Hell she'd had every intent to lock the signet ring into the bottom drawer of her jewelry box and forget about it forever... but as it turned out that hadn't really helped as much as she had been hoping it would. Dying and being brought back as some kind of... space warrior with a pretty scarf sort of left impacts on you that a slew of therapists couldn't put a dent in. She should know. She'd been to enough therapists since.

She wasn't even sure why she'd pulled out the ring again. It had been some sort of vague idea about facing her fears or something like that... and then it had barfed up a string of messages that would have sent any one of her teachers into a state of shock.

She'd debated it for a long time before deciding to go, and telling her parents that she was going to go out and meet some people (She'd actually referred to them as 'friends' to their infinite relief.) and arrived on the door step, still unaware of the fiasco at the meeting, with two shopping bags of food. ((She had a tendency these days to over-prepare, something about being stranded at an abandoned outpost with no supplies...))

One bag was clinking with bottles of microbrewed root beer ((if you were going to be randomly whisked into space you might as well go with the good stuff)), and the other was crammed with two large bags of chips (plain and salt and vinegar), an package of onion dip, one flavor that involved bacon (she'd blind grabbed that one in a fit of nerves) and squished on the bottom was a box crammed to the gills with little truffle mice.

She'd made so many truffle mice lately that her father had briefly made a joke about calling an exterminator. He'd followed by apologizing many times, frantic that anything he said might somehow trigger an attack of panic. He was afraid to even travel, it was the most she'd seen him for years, and she felt... she felt BAD about it.

Going to the party was a way she felt she might be able to fix everything. Even if she didn't feel normal this was something that at least... looked normal. She kind of needed that.

...Kind of like this place needed a maid service for a week. Or maybe a match. Maybe a bunch of matches.

"...H...Hi?" She called out. She still remembered several of the faces, even though, she had to admit, she'd tried to forget a lot of them. "It's Holi... er...I guess....Page Hara... ... I um. Brought.... snacks...."
She didn't sound quite as brash as the young woman who'd gotten into a heated argument with Zue on the rainbow road, but all things considered, she had a few reasons for that.

My god she should have brought bags of cleaning supplies. A mop. Lysol by the gallon. It. Was. So...... so EW.
