[NOTE: IT IS ASSUMED THAT EVERY SINGLE SENSHI PLUS KUNZITE PLUS CATS ARE PRESENT FOR THIS MEETING. YOU WERE PULLED FOR THIS MEETING. THIS MEETING IS NON-OPTIONAL. WE WILL NOT BE RUNNING THIS MEETING IN TAG FORM BECAUSE THAT WOULD TAKE TOO LONG. INSTEAD, IF YOU WANT YOUR CHARACTER TO MAKE A POINT AT ANY TIME, PM ME FIRST WITH THE GIST OF WHAT YOU WANT AND I WILL TAG YOU.

The dreams were still ephemeral.

You still dreamed about the Princess, all too often, and woke up with a terrible longing: some people ignored it, some people kept it in their cheek and chewed it over all day. Some people hated every single moment. Some people felt refreshed and renewed. Nobody felt refreshed or renewed when Astraea bumped into their dreams like an angry God on high: the magic she used wasn't remotely gentle, but more like a screwed-up med alert.

"Senshi meeting tomorrow," she snapped. "This is a recorded message. I'm not talking to you personally. I'm not taking any excuses. If you are not there tomorrow night at the Meadowview highschool gym, I will cut open your abdomen and sit on your intestines."

At this point some people preferred the vague blue eyes of Princess Serenity. The Zodiacs did not dream: they knew where Serenade Soriano was at all times, burning like a banner on their eyelids. And Kunzite dreamed about --

-- well, who knew.

The reek of magic was so hot that it nearly frazzled the eyebrows, entering the gym. They did it in their fuku. The result looked like an extremely messed-up masquerade party: a day-glo nightmare of skirts and high heels and messed-up outfits. They all sat on the bleachers. Some people milled around: others watched the door, uneasy; in front of them all milled around the cats, Ophelia sanguine and Chloe tiny and uptight. Cavalier Kunzite had a shitty plastic chair, but Miriam was standing next to it in at-ease military posture with her sword glinting at her hip.

The Zodiacs and Zue had all relegated a bleacher to themselves, probably on the snapped orders of Captain Aries. Chronos sat in the middle with her hands clasped together. It was the first time that the senshi had been meeting, like this, had met like this, had been grouped like this -- honestly, any Negaverse officer who wanted to break down the barrier and come in would have met his or her end extremely swiftly.

It was like the most awkward work party you had ever gone to, ever. (Castor was that guy at work. You know. That guy. For some women this would be the first time they had ever met Sailor Castor. Astraea liked to go and tell people to 'introduce themselves to Castor' if she didn't like the look of them.)

Astraea herself was pacing --

There was a buzz of conversation now that the initial awkwardness had ceased. Captain Aries had tried to butt in on the meeting running about sixteen times, staring at Kunzite with eyes that should have melted her into a tiny pile of slag. Some of the senshi sat in little groups -- there was Pegasus, sitting with Team Seven Minus One.

"All right," said Astraea, and then bawled "ALL RIGHT," when the first one proved not to work. It took Kunzite's, "Attention," (which Astraea, glowering as only a cat could, did not seem to appreciate) to finally garner quiet. "All right! This meeting is underway! I don't care how early you have to get up tomorrow morning to feed broth to old people. Everyone hold out their hand."

This was a bizarre order. The cats all clustered together; there was a slight blurring as they switched to their human forms, all barring Astraea, laying their hands down one on top of the other. The lights in the gymnasium flickered as a tiny mote of flame suddenly grew in the middle of everyone's palm: it wavered uncertainly, and then burned brightly before gaining weight and mass and --

-- wait, it was a cellphone.

It was a fliptop cellphone.

[REPLACE SENSHI NAME WITH YOURS TO GET PHONE.]

"This is your phone," bawled out Astraea. "You will keep it on you at all times. We're still working on the technology because none of us are actually schooled in this magic, but it will locate the transformed senshi who's called you! You can call anyone you want -- but you can only track one senshi at a time." There was still the rising equivalent of 'wat' from all onlookers. "Click on the menu for the map screen -- it'll be represented by a yellow dot. It'll also locate senshi in a mile radius if they're transformed, but only in a mile radius. If you communicate as a senshi to someone else, civilians will only hear some stupid randomly selected pop song coming from your phone -- this cellphone is uncrackable by the Negaverse."

Well, wasn't that a relief.

"I repeat, you can only track one senshi specifically who's called you! No Cavaliers! Kunzite will be able to track you, but not the other way around! For those of you without pockets, you will be able to summon this cellphone from subspace if you concentrate hard enough. You'll feel it ringing. In your soul."

Awesome.

Captain Aries did not even bother to put up her hand amidst the hubbub. "Wait," she said. "Why doesn't this extend to the Zodiacs?"

"If Zue wants a magical PDA, Captain," said Astraea, "he can come and see me."

"This is preposterous." Aries was incensed now, standing up, her voice carrying over the gymnasium. "May I remind you, Astraea, that nobody has left you in charge, nor given you leave to effectively isolate the Zodiacs and their Princess -- "

"Actually," said Astraea, "you're wrong. I am in charge."

And she changed.

"Call me," said the yellow-dressed catgirl, "extremely reluctantly... Luna."

This would have been more dramatic to people who knew what that meant, other than did Astraea always wear yellow and have a crescent moon on her forehe -- wait???

"Any questions about the phone before I explain things to you that I will explain only once?"
PostPosted: Wed Feb 10, 2010 10:48 pm

The second he got a cell phone and heard the explanation, Castor had a question. Well, he had a lot of them. Like how come her dress had changed and why she kept sending some random senshi his way, (was she trying to hook him up? He appreciated her efforts). But one question had been burning. The moment she ask if there were questions, his hand shot up, (did she eye roll at him?). Standing before asking his question, (well, questions really), the senshi of hail didn't even bother to introduce himself.
God this felt like some town hall meeting. He also waved at the gemini duo in the bleechers, raising his phone as if to say 'LOOK YOU GUYS!'

"So, with this, we can contact ANY senshi at ANY time? And we track ANY senshi who call us? Can we track who we want to call?" Castor looked around to his fellow senshi, a few might have an idea of what he was getting at.

"Any senshi?"

Looking at Nemesis, Iris, MuCephi, Europa, and a few others, he was smiling. It was not a good smile.

Ignoring his rapeface, Astraea -- Luna? -- held up one delicate hand. "Switch to the scan menu," she said crisply. "Hold your phone up to that person. It'll enter in their phone number and senshi name." She had, unwittingly, just given Castor a magical booty call list. "You can contact any senshi at any time, though if you abuse this I will shoot you and feed you to a sea lion."

Luna had a fine sheen of sweat on her skin, and she was breathing hard. Her wide blue (had they always been blue?) eyes were a little glazed over. The magic was getting to her. Ophelia reached out a hand, but she batted it away in irritation.

"You have to make the call before you can track," she said. "The other senshi must answer their phone and be transformed. Next."

As soon as the phone materialized in his hand, Merope stared at it and announced to no one in particular: "This is more awesome than kool-aid! Dude!" He turned it this way and that, admiring it before he heard Castor ask his question. Oh! Right. Meeting. Come to think of it, he had a couple questions of his own.

Merope raised his hand and flailed it until Luna nodded to him. He stood up and quickly introduced himself before asking, "Going off of that, will this work like a regular phone or does calling act a lot like making it appear and disappear? And how often can we track someone, like can we track someone, stop, and track someone different or will we have to wait for it to recharge? Finally, um," he paused and scuffled his boot in embarrassment, "Does this, er, have a recording function? I'm not exactly good at listening and remembering in school, and I don't want to forget anything important said here..."

He trailed off unhappily and looked at his phone, then back at Luna. Realization struck him -- his attack dealt mainly with punching things. Wet watery punches. What if he was holding his phone? Would it wreck that?!

A look at the waiting guardian cat and the cavalier nearby stalled him, however. He would wait for his questions to be answered first, then after the meeting ask about the phone's durability.

"The cellphone has a number of features," said Luna, "none of them recording. For Serenity's sake, I do not want anybody ending up with their ridiculous shitty antics on YouTube." It was already too late: their ridiculous shitty antics were up on YouTube. "The battery life is indefinite. But. If you overpower your phone -- for instance, trying to track too many different people at one time -- it will blow up and I will have to repair it and I will hate you." More than she already hated everyone, apparently? "I am already in all of your phones. I will be calling you. I'm also tracking you from Central Command, which is the guardian cat headquarters."

To forestall any requests, she immediately added: "You're not invited."

Luna had been a lot nicer about Central Command. Luna had been a lot nicer. "Next."

Flora sat besides Pegasus and her team, though felt a draw towards the bleacher at which the Zodiacs and their Princess sat. She didn't have time to focus on the green-haired girl, however, for her attention was now drawn to the cellphone now in her hand, which she immediately appreciated and thought was a good idea.

But wait, the Zodiacs didn't have any? She didn't know why she felt somewhat disappointed at that.

Sailor Flora shot Castor a look at his question as if to say 'No you don't!' If he liked that Negaverse girl so much, why was he so interested in so many of the senshi? Ugh. She didn't even know what she should be encouraging or discouraging; either way, it didn't give him a very good reputation. She really did have to talk about him about his 'plans' for the female senshi. At least, at the very least, he wouldn't be able to contact the Princess and the Zodiacs?

Now, where had that come from?

"What is the purpose of the camera?" She asked when Astraea, or Luna, answered Merope's. "I mean, like, can we take pictures of Negaverse agents and send them to other senshi so we can better identify them? So that we won't be tricked?" Some, like Serandite, were extremely hard to guess that they belonged to the Negaverse.

"No," said Astraea-Luna, in the curt, clipped, oh God tones of somebody who had explained something over and ov -- well, it was possible she hadn't, as Sailor Thuban would attest. Astraea sometimes missed out the facts for the good of the city. Then again, she'd been explaining things for a very, very long time. Gone were the relatively bright-eyed bushy days of introducing Sailor Nova to the world. "If you take pictures of another Negaverse soldier, they will not make sense. It's glamour. It won't work. That's not a camera. That's the scan function."

Oh.

"Like I said: open your scan menu. Point it at a senshi." Some people were already doing this: it made the cellphone go boop! This just made Captain Aries look more sour than ever, especially as some of the Zodiacs looked longingly at the shiny. The Zodiacs still looked hollow-eyed. And were missing one. "Their phone number and name will come up. I'll also be manually entering in numbers into the database, because apparently I don't have enough work."

It was almost overwhelming, seeing how many Senshi really existed. Pyxis had met only enough Senshi to count on the fingers of one hand, and the meeting opened up a whole new world of awesome. Much like this extremely cool, oh-my-god-it-matches-me cell phone. Now he could find friends, and he wouldn't have to get all beat up again!

It might have been the euphoria from knowing he really wasn't alone, or the fact that he hadn't lost any bit of being bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, but he raised his hand as high as his tiny body would allow so he could ask the disgruntled kitty a question that really had little importance. To everyone else, at least.

"Um! Hi, excuse me, Luna! Can I decorate it, or will that make it breaky? I need it lots so I don't wanna break it."

"If you want to f** up your phone like a thirteen-year-old girl, Pyxis, " said Luna, "you are more than welcome. Keep in mind that these phones are waterproof and can be dropped, but not from a height. They can't be microwaved." Anyone who was planning on microwaving their phone felt a sharp stab of disappointment. "Do not set it on fire. If I have to replace your phone more than twice I will shove the fourth one into your nose."

This was actually fairly kind for Astraea.

"Next?"

-Polaris... looked downright gleeful as she shifted among the dozens of other senshi, eyes carefully locking on each senshi before moving to the next. IF she had been tired on the way, all of that had been overtaken in a wave of excitement as she found her seat. If she had the time for it, she would have attempted to introduce herself to atleast a few, but the meeting was already starting.

Her eyes settled on the cavalier, a strong, stoic figure. And the zodiacs in their flashy little group. What the difference between a cavalier or zodiac to the rest of the group was, she did not know, nor did she take the time to ask, because suddenly Astraea had changed.. differently then she had that day in the hospital, and suddenly there was a less than fashionable cellphone resting in her palm.

Fiddling with the buttons as Astraea explained them, her eyes widened, her smile streching so far across her face that her jaw almost hurt.

This WAS perfect!! All of her brainstorming and thinking.. her trying to come up with a way they could contact each other that wouldn't get them into trouble... it was all solved with a little magic.

Her eyes lifted as Flora's question sounded, raising her own hand as soon as it had been answered, trying hard not to roll her eyes over the question that dealt with bedazzling. Seriously. That's what (s)he was worried about?

As eyes shifted to her and her turn to talk came, she stood up tall and straight.- "Sailor Polaris." -She stated with a simple nod to those around her, before focusing on.. Luna was it now?-

"Speaking of Negaverse agents. I've actually been working on an idea to help keep everyone in the loop. A private online forum or database where senshi can upload information they collect and keep track of what to look out for."

"Negaverse names, apperances, their attack styles, regular hunting grounds, etc. Anything that might give us all an extra edge."

"I don't mind putting the work behind maintaining it all." -Oh no she didn't, infact, she seemed to glow with pride as her words found their forum in front of so many of her peers.- "The only problem I'd run into was a safe way to pass along the forum access information where it wouldn't fall into the wrong hands. Would it be possible to perhaps, give it out via the phones?"

Bellatrix had been confused as hell since the beginning of all this. Now there she stood, cellphone in hand, looking from it to Astrea. Looking back to where Antrea would have been, she saw human feet and... wait what!? Astrea no,..Luna was a human now? No, not quite - she still had her ears and a tail.

She's so pretty... Bellatrix thought, though no where near as captivating as the princess that had appeared in her dreams.

If anything, though, It felt good to get some answers,...and see just how many Senshi there were. In the beginning she had been slacking off due to her dream of being an Actress and her activity in the theatre. Now, after some tears and a lot of debate, her dream was on the back burner. After all, what good did it do to dream if the world was destroyed?

As she listened, she did as she was told and activated the scan function. First she located Regulus, and the others she knew. Even, reluctantly, Iris. Though that call would be a last resort.
Listening as she was, Bellatrix couldn't help but giggle at some of AstreaLuna's replies. Seriously? Shoving a phone up someone's nose?

When Polaris mentioned a database, Bellatrix first thought that sure, it might be useful. But the more she thought about it, the worse an Idea it seemed. If Luna didn't want Senshi antics on Youtube, she sure wouldn't want a database out there that the Negaverse might find, and be able to track the 'mastermind' behind it. Not only that, but regular citizens might accidentally find it and be put in danger if they tried to go out and be a hero!

"Ummm," She spoke up. "Not to be a total bummer or anything, Polaris, but that's kinda a dangerous idea, don't you think? Useful, yeah, but....it could get someone hurt. Not to mention lead the Negaverse right to you."

She wasn't trying to be any sort of party pooper or heavens forbid a brainiac or leader, but she was concerned for the well being of others, and even Polaris herself.
PostPosted: Thu Feb 11, 2010 9:55 pm

"As Bellatrix so inarticulately pointed out," said Luna, "you can't be so completely dense as to think that the Negaverse doesn't have hackers, Polaris. You get ten points for thinking up original ideas and not just sitting there playing -- stop that, what are you doing -- flippy-flip with your magical phone. I don't care whether you're willing to spend as much time on the forum as you are on your ridiculous hair." This was unfair. Lots of them had ridiculous hair. "If you want to keep contact, you do it personally. The cellphones are untraceable; otherwise, you should consider yourself as a spy cell."

Possibly the worst spy cell in the world.

"The only database is in Central Command. Otherwise, I expect you to stop looking up porn and actually, EYE DEE KAY, 'I DON'T KNOW LOL LOL OMG', talk to each other."

Astraea was lovely, but also as horrible as she was ethereal. There was some muttering.

"Next. Does anyone have a question that isn't about your cellphone. And yes, you can call normal people on it. No, it doesn't cost money. Yes, this is because we're stealing network signals."

"This seems illicit," said Captain Aries.

"YOU ARE ILLICIT. You are all technically wanted criminals. Next."

Sirius was finding this meeting slightly awkward, mostly because she recognised a few faces but most she hadn't ever seen before. There were so many senshi. It was an experience that was for sure. When the phones appeared she smiled. Hadn't she and Vanadis mentioned they needed something like this? To be fair she expected everyone had thought the same thing.

Astrea turning in to Luna was something. She was suddenly so beautiful and her dress was stunning but when she opened her mouth she sounded like the same rude cat. It made Sirius smile somewhat as she listened to the questions and then the replies. She had a question though.

"Erm.. about the phones. Do they still work if we haven't transformed? If we are like stuck and can't transform will they still work so we can call a transformed senshi in?" Maybe it was a silly question after all it was still a phone but it seemed like a good question to Sirius.
PostPosted: Fri Feb 12, 2010 3:37 pm

"Yes, Sirius," said Luna, though she drew it out a little to encapsulate her bitter, terrible tiredness. At this point Ophelia looked as though she wanted to tackle her and inject her with evening primrose oil. Astraea crossed her arms over her thin chest, staring the bleachers filled with senshi down. She looked as though she wasn't really impressed with any of them.

Clearing her throat, she continued: "People won't be able to track you. But you'll still come up as an incoming ring from another senshi. You'll have to give them directions. Serenity help us all. All right. Next. I would ask that if you still have stupid questions about the cellphones' inner workings you at least try to work it out before you ask me. See three before me. Call me too much and I will make one of you our IT specialist."
