However, due to some false information, he killed his son in anger and had hurt Lady Korrine deeply. She cursed him to an unhappy life and since then he's been taking out his unhappiness on those around him. He is deeply shamed by his past actions and feels great remorse but also feels he does not deserve forgiveness so he continues acts of evil to continue being hated by those that he cares for.
