Small dark hooves trampled the grass beneath her as she strutted, her head swaying from side to side. She was enjoying the sunshine. She normally hated such a thing, but today it seemed to just, call to her.
Giving a smile, she spun in circles, once..Twice.. Then she stopped, and flicked her darkly colored tailside to side as she wandered through the field.
She usually stuck to the forest, in the safety of the trees, but sunbathing could not be done in the trees..That, and there was far less to see with trees blinding you.
Her nostrils flared slightly, as her eyes caught hold of a small bug.. She didnt know what it was, but she imagined it was some typeof beetle. She stuck her tongue out of her lips in focus, and snuck up, stalking.
Her eyes narrowed, and she went to lunge with a loud: "GOTCHA!" But her hooves passed right over the beetle, and it picked up, and flew away again. She sighed with a pout. Life needed to be more interesting.

He did not like to wander far from mother and father but it was a beautiful day and he was keeping tabs on the distance. He was growing a little more bold and a great deal more curious as each day began anew.
To be honest, he wanted to test out his wings some and preferred to be alone to do it. The last thing he wanted was to crash in front of his parents, brother and sister. This clearing was ideal for such an experiment. He fluttered his little wings and was about to jump into the air to try to take flight when he heard a voice calling out. Distracted, he walked through the tall grass, looking for the voice. What had she got? Curiosity had gotten the best of him yet again.
A dozen steps later, he came out upon the other foal. Why, was just about his size, perhaps a little bigger but he had been told that flutters are often smaller. "What did you get?", he asked curiously.

Little Bit groaned as the beetle flew away, stomping her hoof slightly. She had been so enveloped in the beetle, that she hadnt heard the colt walk up to her. She needed to start paying more attention.
"I didnt catch anything." She said with a huff. She hated it when she lost her games.. Not like she hs anyone to play with to lose in her place..and the scenery always somehow beat her. Whether it be her trying to reach an apple, and another yearling stealing it out from above her, or this.
When she looked at him, her sourness filtered away, and she cocked her head. He had marvelous wings..Truly superior. She wished she had wings, but then again, she kinda did. Smiling, she nodded towards his wings. "You are very neat, y'know.."
