Cranberries; having family in the business has caused Caelum to hate the blasted berry.

hobbies
Skateboarding - Skateboarding is Caelum's number one favorite past time, though he isn't as enthusiastic about it as he is drumming. His interests are only the tip of the iceberg; so if anyone were to ask him about famous skaters or the like, he is as clueless as a fish out of water. However, he does take the time everyday to go about on his board; usually to run errands for his mom at the store or to go to a friend's house.
Drumming - Some time during his elder brother's fourteen birthday, his mother bought him a drum set, but the boy had moved on from his interest in a rock band to video games. For a long time, it was kept out of everyone's way in the corner of the family's home, until Caelum got his hands on it. He isn't very good, but he absolutely loves causing a ruckus by banging on everything with the sticks. Unlike skateboarding, drumming is something that really holds his interest, and he has gone on to read every bit of trivia he could about drums and the talented people who made a name for themselves from them.
virtues
Accepting - It doesn't matter who you are, what you are, what you have done or haven't done, Caelum will be there for you to rant to, ask for advice about something, or just strike up a little chat with. He has a certain attachment to other human beings and finds the only way to exploit that bond is with conversation. He adores conversing with others and meeting the variety of people that go about their daily lives. This also ticks along with his curious nature. Talking with someone makes them more open for him to find about what makes that person certainly different from everyone else. Truth be told, Caelum is neutral and accepting of most personalities he comes across. However, if the person is a heartless, conceded, simply arrogant jerk, Caelum will not tolerate them.
Heroic - Since the times of tiny tot days, Caelum has aspired to be a super hero. He has always admired their amazing abilities, bulging ripples of non-oiled muscles and brighter than sunshine costumes. It wasn't even the fact they always triumphed that amazed him. No—it was always them. They were so damned intriguing—the very definition of manliness that set his neurons boiling. Unfortunately, this example of prime manly rib has grown to some other ultimate Adam. Caelum has morphed his fantasies to an overdeveloped sense of courage. Though completely brave and willing to do anything in the name of justice, he sometimes doesn't know his own limitations. The poor fella has become the stereotypical outcome of bullying and otherwise for jumping into the fray too readily. However, those occurrences have never brought down his spirits. Gotta keep your chin up, 'cause he knows everyone's got their kryptonite.
flaws
Inattentive - Caelum is rather inattentive unless it is an item or subject he finds interesting. His mind tends to wander when something comes to bore him incredibly as he is unconsciously searching for something to keep him engaged. When his mind does find something much more worthwhile than the current topic at hand, his brain latches onto it like a lifesaver to save itself from drowning in boredom. Doing this causes him to replace most memories related to the dull-inducing topic and he readily forgets about it to let in memories of something happier. His mind also does this to events that are upsetting, traumatic, or depressing. Since he has made it an constant effort to keep up a mirthful facade, he deters anything from bothering his default mood by ignoring it until he forgets or it isn't relevant to him anymore.
Conceited - Caelum is a bit full of himself. Okay, well, no, the kid thinks he's the best damn thing ever to be crafted by whatever-god-or-goddess-up-in-those-cloud's hands. Though he is average when it comes to looks, not too athletic, and limited to only being talented at banging on drums like a rapid squirrel on LSD, his self opinion is quite high. This has incarnated a need to be known and is likely the reason he is so rambunctious and loud among his school populace. No one knows his name, but he has been attributed to being known as the, "freckled kid who is always so loud." His lack of civility in public places besides school is also impossible to control. He speak-ups (literally) everywhere, letting his echoing voice be known and heard. This bragging is most evident when he is talking about his heroic exploits or sharing a story about a scar he received for the umpteenth time.
history
Rigel, in his mid twenties, found himself pining for some love, so his friend arranged a meetup with a girl he knew for him. That girl happened to be Fiora. After just one blind date together, the two really hit it off, and their get-togethers afterward followed with amiable frequency. It came to a point the two would really spend the rest of their lives together and after a year and a half of dating, Rigel engaged her. Fiora's father, Marvin, was ecstatic to learn that his second daughter, and also his favorite, was to finally marry. Her sister, Leona, had married before, but moved to California to be with her husband after his business transferred him.
As the owner of a cranberry farm and the fact he was getting up in age, Marvin wanted to finally hand off the business to the man who would become his son-in-law. It wasn't that he didn't trust Fiora with the family business, but he was blinded by the view that a woman just couldn't handle the pressure of it. Instead, he figured Fiora would make a good housewife, which is what she would eventually become. Though Rigel was enthusiastic and took to Marvin with openness, he was still weak to the man's advances. Due to Marvin's pressuring, a wedding that Rigel was hoping to put off for the next year or two was pushed back to just three months later. Even Fiora was reluctant to marry that early, but since she desired to see Marvin happy, agreed to go through with it.
Two months into their marriage, fate struck when Marvin fell to his death from the farm's barn while repairing the roof. As the sole benefactor to the property, Rigel was thrust into the position of running the family business, but it was a messy exchange. He had zero background about being an authority figure and calling the shots, but he managed to keep his family afloat. They took a dip in their finances when Conner, their first son, was born, but when Caelum was to come next, their income began to steadily fall, and with it, the arguing. While Rigel and Fiora pushed the blame on each other, both of them held a chunk of the responsibility.
Fiora complained unnecessarily of the "eyesores" on the farm—such as the barn that was steadily rotting because of water damage—and the need to replace the equipment used to collect the cranberries for processing. Rigel, despite wanting to tell his wife that they really shouldn't, gave in to her demands and bought anything she complained about to assuage her wants. Eventually, this spending came to be such a problem that the family fell into the red. With a bank on their backs about payment, Rigel had no choice but to sell the family farm to settle their loans, and Fiora, distraught over losing the land she grew up on, continued to hold this matter over her husband's head and argue with him.
Rigel moved his family out to Destiny City due to the cheap housing. He picked up work at several places—even at a gas station—while Fiora decided to take what little money she had to her name and go back to school to get a better job than her husband. Their arguing continued with restless abandon as well. After the move, their two sons took it differently. Conner, always having been the social butterfly, was quick to make friends at his high school, but Caelum suffered. He pined for his old home and old friends, laying blame on his parents for all of the bad luck suddenly thrust upon him. He was reluctant to take to his new surroundings as well. Instead, Caelum remained indifferent to his classmates while in Knightside Elementary and would find any excuse possible to not go home to avoid his parents. This doubled in occurrence when Caelum was awakened as Sailor Cadmus—even to the point the boy would escape through his room's window to instead practice his newfound powers.
This was discovered to be a problem by the boy's homeroom teacher, Mrs Danjuma, but when the matter was brought up to the boy's parents, Rigel and Fiora felt there was nothing wrong. One day, Caelum overheard his parents talking, and discovered they had settled for a divorce, but only in a mutual sense without lawful action. They would stay together for the sake of their children, but lived separate lives while under the same roof. Fiora had even found a new boyfriend while Rigel took on another job to avoid her. That didn't stop them from using their children to get back at each other—dropping guilt trip after guilt trip on each other just by mentioning their situation and either of their son's names. After finding this out, Caelum began to act up more, but intervention did come eventually in the form of a Big Brother. While he hasn't fully warmed up to the matters at hand, Caelum has slowly adjusted himself to his new life and the new people in it.
Unfortunately, circumstances struck again in his life when Fiora decided to head back to New Jersey. Caelum regarded his mother with indifference ever since he learned of the mutual deal between her and Rigel. Though he tried to be subtle about it, his passive aggressiveness was quite obvious, and Fiora quickly caught on to his manner. Once again, Fiora began to lay blame on Rigel with the belief he was filling her son's head with wrong ideas about her. It came to a point she grew fed up, packed up her things, and left the Dawson household to live with her boyfriend, Bryan, in a house close to her family farm. This triggered Caelum to focus more on his duties as Sailor Cadmus; causing him to withdraw from both his father and brother to deal with the frustrations of what he thought to be a broken family. He now completely shuns the name of his mother and doesn't want to have anything to do with her; not even talk to her on the phone. In his honest opinion, he doesn't have one anymore.
miscellaneous information
He has a tendency of saying "sucks" a lot to express his disgust or frustration regarding something.
He isn't very close to his brother Conner, but he is the only member of the boy's family he respects fully.
His form of transportation is, and probably will always be, getting around on his skateboard.
He's a little on the shorter side, standing 5'2" without shoes on.
He's panromantic/pansexual, and blushes extremely easily. (He absolutely hates it.)

about the asteroid, cadmus, and mythology
7092 Cadmus is an asteroid of the Solar System. Discovered by Carolyn S. Shoemaker on June 4, 1992, it has a semi-major axis of 2.53 AU, an eccentricity of 0.698, and inclination of 17.8°. On December 7, 2056, it will pass 0.241 AU (36,100,000 km; 22,400,000 mi) from the Earth.
In Greek mythology, Cadmus was the founder and first king of Thebes. Initially a Phoenician prince, son of king Agenor and queen Telephassa of Tyre and the brother of Phoenix, Cilix and Europa. He was originally sent by his royal parents to seek out and escort his sister Europa back to Tyre after she was abducted from the shores of Phoenicia by Zeus. Cadmus founded the Greek city of Thebes, the acropolis of which was originally named Cadmeia in his honour.
Cadmus was credited by the ancient Greeks (Herodotus is an example) with introducing the original Alphabet or Phoenician alphabet—Φοινίκων γράμματα Phoinikōn grammata, "Phoenician letters"—to the Greeks, who adapted it to form their Greek alphabet. Herodotus estimates that Cadmus lived sixteen hundred years before his time, or around 2000 BC. Herodotus had seen and described the Cadmean writing in the temple of Apollo at Thebes engraved on certain tripods. He estimated those tripods to date back to the time of Laius the great-grandson of Cadmus. On one of the tripods there was this inscription in Cadmean writing, which, as he attested, resembled Ionian letters: Ἀμφιτρύων μ᾽ ἀνέθηκ᾽ ἐνάρων ἀπὸ Τηλεβοάων ("Amphitryon dedicated me [don't forget] the spoils of [the battle of] Teleboae."). about the world of cadmus

Past Life Information Name: Laius. Gender: Genderfluid; went by he/him pronouns. Ages: Eleven at awakening; thirty-two at death.
Homeworld Solos Empty Silence More Than What You Are Passed the Past Where the Rain Stops Where It All Began A Hound for a Fox Eyes Unlike Ours
World Overview A small, albeit heavily populated asteroid tucked into the Solar System's belt, Cadmus served to be a self-sufficient agricultural society that rarely reached out to other communities among the cosmos. While quite open to outside visitors, its inhabitants were quite hostile toward each other, and these disputes were mostly over the quality of land each congregation of people occupied.
Cadmus was a heavily forested, earthy asteroid with incredibly fertile soil. It lacked an ocean, but made up for water sources with large lakes and rivers that snaked all along its surface. The largest river of all, known as the Nilus, served to be the natural border that split the asteroid into five parts. These portions remained unnamed, but the greatest place of interest was known as Cadmeia—a large citadel named in honor of the asteroid's protector, Cadmus. Its even patterns of weather made it an ideal asteroid for farming; this is what it was primarily famous for.
The asteroid's main imports were beasts of burden, seeds for farming, and colorful textiles for use during their many religious celebrations. Exports were mainly the fruits they grew on their planet like cranberries, bogdeer meat, domesticated branchdogs, cadmium ore, and wood. Bartering was their main form of trade, but it was also common to use square wooden tokens known as marl during exchanges (see pendant on Laius on the right). However, these tokens did not hold numerical worth; they are actually a form of IOU. When the favor pertaining to a marl was completed, it would be broken in half and burned.
Flora and Fauna Thanks to the fertile soil of Cadmus and its main import being the variety of seeds across the cosmos, the asteroid had a wide selection of flora that were both native and exotic to the environment. The most important to the people of Cadmus was the cranberry. It remained to be the staple diet to them and, unlike other fruits and vegetables, its attachment to religious bearing meant all could eat it freely. The senshi of Cadmus was considered to be a patron representative of the fruit and honored for it.
There weren't many predatory animals on the asteroid, so herbivores thrived instead. The most recognizable and considered a pest were bogdeer; ruminant mammals that resembled Earth's own cervidae, but with thinner, straw-like faces. Dubbed bogdeer due to their tendency to sneak into cranberry bogs to eat the berries that floated to the surface, they were the staple meat consumed by Cadmeans, but due to them also being honored as a religious symbol, were not hunted. Their bodies could only be eaten if they died of natural causes, but that didn't stop people of certain groups from setting up situations to where they sustained "natural" deaths.
Meadowtails were fallow-colored birds with long, curled tails that were commonly found in the meadows and grasslands of the asteroid. They were a very common sight and often trapped to be roasted or owned as pets. Their songs were honored at festivals and harvests. They hunted and ate the fish in the the rivers and lakes of Cadmus and those captured as pets were trained to bring in catches to eat.
Bushswine were docile, pig-like animals that scavenged the meadows and forests for insects and roots. One was caught every year during the Festival of Cadmus to honor the asteroid and its senshi. Otherwise, they were largely ignored by Cadmeans because their meat had a sour taste from their diet. They were the main prey of branchdogs, so it was only common to hunt them if feeding a domesticated pet.
The apex predator of the asteroid, branchdogs, earned their name from their form of hunting. They'd wait high up in canopies for a passing animal and, with good timing, dropped from a branch and on top of them for a quick kill. They were lone hunters, but had been found to form small packs to take down larger prey when desperate for food; splitting the meat evenly before going off on their own again. By themselves, they were incredibly friendly to humans and some have even took to living with them for scraps. However, when in packs, they were hostile, but could be driven back with fire.
Notable Locations The Etamon Mountains were the longest range on the asteroid despite several scattered across its surface. People of the most northern portion of the asteroid made themselves home all along this range due to the large population of bogdeer and their fairly common deaths. The steep incline of the mountains made for a hard time when scaling to the peak, but called for a great challenge to those who liked one. Cadmus of the past loved to free climb the surface of the tallest mountain when he discovered his powers. People of the mountains talked much of his exploits and considered them sacred due to Cadmus's great love of them.
From the Etamon mountains the Nilus river flowed and branched out. To the eastern end of the asteroid, it emptied into a large lake known simply as the Basin. The northeastern and southeastern settlements relied on the Basin for everything from water, to food, to even washing their clothing. It was also a popular location for those training meadowtails and people bartering their fresh catches for foodstuff and other essentials.
On the eastern portion of the asteroid, the lush, verdant forest gave way to a desolate, sandy wasteland that stretched on for a quarter of the land. A large mountain range sprouted up, forming a circle around this desert-like area. Located in the middle of this wasteland was the citadel known as Cadmeia. While the land had remained dead and infertile for years, Cadmeia served to be an important building that taught everything there was to know about farming and agriculture. Allowing only boys and men within its walls, women were prevented from entry, and some were even executed should they try. It was said to have an incredible importance to the senshi of the asteroid and the second half of the citadel was sealed off with only Cadmus themselves being allowed to enter. Since only the first six floors of the academy were used for students, no one knew what lay beyond the large, padlocked gate save the elderly men who kept vigil over it.
Society Cadmeans thrived on all five sections of land on the asteroid, but there was obvious competition among them. Superiority and disagreement plagued each group due to different hunting techniques and religious celebrations. However, there was a number of societal norms that remained prevalent within each amalgamation of people. The first is that all of the groups consisted of farmers and honored the land they lived on. In fact, Cadmus's soil was said to be so fertile, anything could grow in it. Both genders played pivotal roles when it came to tilling and caring for the land, but as a largely patriarchal society. Only males were allowed to go to Cadmeia to learn the trade secrets of the craft.
There was no governing body on the asteroid, so each settlement managed themselves with a leader or council disputing and solving situations that arose within their communities. While they each held a certain hostility toward each other and picked fights from time to time, no wars were waged since the battle of Teleboae. All made a vow to Cadmus there would be none before the senshi mysteriously disappeared. Since then, the very name of Sailor Cadmus could bring peace to the people of the asteroid, and the asteroid's protector served to be a position of negotiation when there were disputes. There was even a festival held in their honor every year for their service.
Though there was no official monarch or leader of the asteroid, there was a person of high authority known as the Grand Master. Residing in Cadmeia, the Grand Master dictated the lessons taught to the students of the school, managed imports/exports, and handled agricultural disputes like crop quality and soil richness. This position usually fell on the shoulders of the current Sailor Cadmus, but come the previous senshi's disappearance, it was instead handled by the leading male of the council protecting the upper floors of Cadmeia. The position was to be relinquished come the death of the current Grand Master should a new Sailor Cadmus be reborn. Laius was the last Grand Master of the asteroid before it fell to Chaos.
It is unknown why, but every single individual on the asteroid was born with red eyes. Complexions were typically pale to peachy in color, but light to dark tan was a commonality as well. Elongated ears were seen as an odd, but accepted mutation, though most of the asteroid's inhabitants looked human with round helices. Hair colors depended on location; the northern hemisphere seemed to cover the spectrum of brown to bluish black while the southern half claimed from a leafy green to dirty blond. Something unique to the northern and southern hemispheres as well was facial tattooing. The northern half did not tamper with their faces, but the southern settlements, honoring boys that reached puberty, would often tattoo geometric markings on their faces. The ink used in this tattooing was always red and the shapes held no significant meaning other than being aesthetically pleasing.
