Beyond his little tricks as a senshi, Cadmus wasn't taking his powers seriously. Sure, he could run as fast as the wind and jump two stories high, but his new addition to his life wasn't all fun and games. So, in the late hour of a windy night, the chibi sailor buckled down and decided to actually patrol for a change. It was always, always better to work together with someone during these times, but the pink-haired boy preferred the company of himself.
It made being the hero a little more worthwhile.
But as the boy held his arms from his sides and tried to balance across the suspender of the bridge he trotted along, he found the area to be quiet. Too quiet, actually, as cliche as that sounded. There was no crime or hints of chaos in sight.
"I don't know if this is a good thing or a bad..." Cadmus said beneath his breath as he cupped a hand on the tower of the bridge and looked down below. "It's like there's no trouble anywhere..."
That was until someone screamed.

Aksaite | Lieutenant of the NegaverseThe colors of sunset were so romantic. At least, that's what Akasite thought. He had picked this very bridge so that he could watch its dance of colors. The agent waited there all evening until dark. Despite the man's love for sunsets, night was the prime time for finding his prey - in this case, an unsuspecting lady. It wasn't difficult to approach her. He flashed a sweet smile, batted his aquamarine eyes, flipped his fiery orange mane... It was so easy, so simple. False romance was his game, after all. And this was his opening move. It went like this: Woo her with sweet nothings, offer tenderly to hold her hand, present his brooch that glittered in the sun which he never truly desired to part with as it was his weapon of choice and then, well, the real fun began. It was at this stage of the chase, right as the doe screamed in fright as he revealed his true nature, that the lieutenant of the Negaverse was interrupted. "Isn't it a bit late for a pipsqueak like you to be out and about?"

Cadmus's anger got the better of him then. Had he been a cat, his fur would've stood ramrod straight, but he was more like a toy-sized dog yipping and yapping at their owner's feet. Dropping from the bridge, the pink-haired chibi beat balled fists to the air in annoyance.
"I don't know who you think you are, but I'm not what you think I am!" he cried aloud. "I'm Sailor Cadmus and... You have to stop what you're doing!"
Unfortunately, his attempt at intimidation made him come off as a tad whiny. He realized this a little too late and swallowed thickly. He was thirteen years old, not four. What would come of demanding an agent of chaos from halting their unjust actions? Actions speak louder than words, after all, so he would just have to match the harm being brought with a chance to retaliate.
Clapping his hands together and thrusting them out in the direction of Aksaite, Cadmus said as he relied on will to prevent an avalanche of cranberries from bursting forth, "L-leave her alone or I won't hold back anymore!"

Pathetic.Aksaike's hand released the girl's lithe neck as she wilted like a flower to the ground, unconscious. "Well, it seems like you have interfered with my energy collection. She was a fair one too and surely full to the brim with pure life force. A pity."Aksaike's sunset brooch gleamed as the lieutenant pointed its pin menacingly at the young boy. "Your life will have to do!"The man's gaze was no longer romantic. It was now like a predator's. And he was hungry.

The glint of the pin's dangerously pointed tip sent a tremble up Cadmus's spine. "Y-y-you be careful with that thing," he warned. "Or I'll be forced to— Wah!"
Despite all of the practice he had put in, Cadmus still had no control over the release of his powers when he was scared. Without provocation, a wave of cranberries erupted from the chibi senshi's hands and in the direction of the Negaverse lieutenant; bouncing everywhere and punting everything—even the more victim of the ordeal.
"Crap!" the boy cried aloud. "Sorry about that, lady!"

Aksaite | Lieutenant of the NegaverseAksaite did not have trouble avoiding such a misguided attempt at an attack. It seemed that his opponent, if you could call the young thing that, was not even in control of his powers. A shame. This would be too easy. The lieutenant gracefully leapt onto the high edge of the bridge allowing his adorned black uniform to bask in the dim light of the moon. He seemed to balance himself with little effort. He was clearly showing off now and smirked with contempt at the boy. "Was that it? Was that the best you can do? How can you hope to defeat me if you can't even control yourself?"

Cadmus's eyes thinned to slits as he glared at the older male. "You're so full of yourself!" he yelled, though it was like the pot calling the kettle black. In fact, the boy's ego was fluctuating because his pride was being teased with his clumsiness and the man's obnoxious jabs.
Sure, he was small, but he could trump the man in speed. Jumping onto the suspension of the bridge, the chibi raced toward him with amiable speed, his arm reeled back to thrust a well-aimed punch at the Nega's face.

Aksaite | Lieutenant of the NegaversePride always comes before a fall. Or so they say. Aksaite was laughing. That's why he didn't see the hit coming. He was almost doubling over in his giddy glee and wasn't even considering the boy a threat anymore. That was a mistake. The blow landed right where it was aimed - at Aksaite's prideful expression - and it left a red mark that fouled the lieutenant's otherwise good looks. But that was far from the real danger. The man's footing on the bridge's thin edge was not nearly as flawless as he had thought. The force was enough, just barely, to cause the usually graceful Aksaite to slip from the metal bar. Aksaite fell without time or poise to call for help. Under the bridge, only a glimmering brooch remained to shine in the moon's unforgiving gaze.

Cadmus looked on in astonishment from the place where Aksaite stood; unable to form words at what he just did. He choked back his feelings and, instead, jumped from the bridge with a leap and landed beside the pin the Negaverse agent had threatened him with before.
His own pride would've made him pick it up and pocket it, but he wasn't that sour. Instead, he kicked it off the bridge to the company of its owner. It belonged with them. Shaking his head of the ordeal once more, Cadmus checked on the woman. Besides being covered in mushed cranberries and out cold from likely fright, she looked relatively untouched.
Nodding his head, Cadmus decided it was best to head home then, and descended into the night. He had a lot to think over.
