They say every cloud has its silver lining, but to Cadmus it was grey. It had always been grey; just a brighter shade.
When he powered-up and escaped through the window in his room, he was on the verge of tears. Despite the dangers he was warned of of traveling alone as a senshi, Cadmus had to escape his home. He just had to leave because, if he didn't, he would've used his new powers to take out his frustrations on his parents. There was only one good place to vent: The park near his home where he was awakened.
Ducking down into the thicket of trees he usually went to practice in, Cadmus balled a fist and punched the trunk of a tree, causing it to shake a bit. Tears pooled in his eyes before spilling onto his cheeks. Everything was grey and, to him, would always remain that way.
That night, he had learned that Fiora, his mother, was moving back to New Jersey with her boyfriend, Bryan. She was still remain legally married to Rigel (should they decide to work things out), but would not remain in Destiny City any longer. When Fiora and Rigel broke the news to their sons, Conner and Caelum took it in stride; the elder Dawson sibling better than the youngest. Caelum didn't want to show them how frustrated he was, but when night came, he just had to go somewhere and let the pain he had pent up inside him come out.
This was the only time he had.

Trying to get used to this form and it's abilities, Enif had slipped out from her apartment before transforming in the safety of a near by alleyway. She didn't want to risk any of the other apartment residents seeing her transform. Considering the time of day maybe the best place to test everything out would be the park? Thankfully there wasn't one too far away and she quickly made her way there. The boost to her running speed was certainly nice. If she needed to she could run away rather quickly. Those who fought and ran away often lived to fight another day, or so the saying went. Continuing to test the limit of the speed boost, she paused when she heard the rustling of a tree? Granted it kind of sounded like an animal had jumped from one to another, but there was also another power near by? Slowing down a little, she moved to find the owner of the power signature- Only to stumble upon a smaller senshi (a lot smaller) hitting a tree? And crying, oh. Golden eyes softened a little and she slowly made her way over to the little one. "Hey, are you okay?" a soft tone, curious but as caring as she could manage. She.. wasn't good with comforting others but she couldn't leave well enough alone.

Cadmus had a tendency to forget he wouldn't be the only senshi walking around in the night and, as always when someone addressed him, he jumped and spun around to the voice with a look of indignation. However, his tense features softened almost immediately when he realized he was staring into what was a female figure. His head clouded over with thoughts.
it's a gurl. pretty gurl.
Suddenly, he squawked out an answer. "...C-crying?! Who was crying? I-I mean, I'm okay! I'm fine, yep!" He scrubbed at his eyes with the back of his arm to dry up the tear streaks on his reddened cheeks. "Everything's... um... okay..."
Except everything was not okay—just looking at him elicited that thought. Letting out a heavy sigh, Cadmus crossed his arms over his chest and leaned back onto the trunk of the tree. "Not... Not really," he added suddenly, not looking to the other senshi. "It's just... there's a... There's a lot of things going on."

Enif giggled softly as she watched him dry his tears, it was cute seeing the little boy try so hard to be strong. He didn't have to be, though, it was okay to cry! The bangles around her wrists jingled as she brought a hand up to cover her giggling. She didn't wish to offend him after all. "Are you sure everything's okay?" she asked, listening as his attempts to remain sure that everything was fine trailed off. She knew the dangers of holding everything inside, battled with it daily. And then he was leaning against the tree, refusing to look at her and she couldn't help but to kneel a little to try and better put herself at his height. She'd heard some where that kids often responded better when you put yourself at their level. Or something. "Do you want to talk about it?" she asked, not expecting an answer. Or at least an answer that involved him telling her what was wrong. She was a stranger after all, even if they were both powered super heroes. Of sorts. "Sometimes it helps to talk about it."Unoderi she's flattered, in all honesty X3 but she won't take it seriously.

Cadmus bit his bottom lip and averted his eyes to a very interesting blade of grass. "Y-yea, I'm fine," he said, though his face obviously said otherwise. Trying to hold himself before the pretty girl was taking a lot of him, though—to the point he couldn't even look her in the eye again.
(And that wasn't just because she was pretty. Oh no, no. Not at all.)
Partly because he didn't want to burden her with his problems, and partly because unloading his feelings on a stranger made him weary, Cadmus opted to just giving her the bear minimum.
"So, um, I guess there is something wrong. I-it's nothing, okay maybe it is a little sucky, but you don't have to feel bad for me. So, like, my mom's she's, um, moving away. Well, moving in with her boyfriend. But she's still married to my dad. Wait, wait, I meant to say that my parents are splitting, but not, like, divorcing. And my mom's leaving. So it sucks because it feels like... Um. Like..." Cadmus sniffled and looked away. "Like my family's falling apart, y'know? It sucks. Big time."

"That can't be easy for you to deal with," she replied, flashing him a small smile. "Especially not with having to be a Senshi on top of everything. It seems like your whole life has some chaos in it huh?" She couldn't entirely relate to him, she'd been raised by a single mom, her father really only a donor for her genetics. She'd never had to go through a family split before. Unless you counted her small family being split by the death of her mother... "And it does suck but you know what? It's okay if it sucks and it's okay if it hurts because your feelings are valid even if that's not what's going on." Unsurely she moved to place a hand on his shoulder, golden eyes still trained on him. He seemed like a very brave little guy and she wished she'd had his bravery. "But I'm sure it won't be all bad. Your mom will still probably want to see you, you know? And that could mean two Christmas' and two birthdays... It's not really the same, I know. There's nothing worse then wanting your family to stay as it is. For every important person in your life to still be there when you wake up the next morning..." Oh, her voice may have cracked a little there. Unoderi ;; poor cadmus. all the hugs for the baby

Cadmus thinned his lips and nodded. She hit his feelings right on the marker. "Yea, it is," he said. "And I don't know what I want to put first and I keep wanting to be a senshi, but then my dad might find me missing, and then I'd have to explain myself and and..." The chibi continued on a tangent that just seemed to repeat itself. Eventually, he realized he was doing and stopped, only to continue again when her validation made his heart quake.
"It's not like that, or, I mean, it won't be like that anymore," Cadmus said. "I'm sure she'll want to have nothing to do with me. That's... That's okay, though, because you're right. There are other people. Better people than her."
Despite this, Cadmus couldn't help feeling had lost a part of himself. He wasn't close to his mother—not in the least—but she was still family. There was a connection there even if he didn't want there to be one.
Forcing a small smile, he said, "T-thanks for listening, erm...?" He realized he hadn't caught the other senshi's name yet.
White Trickster Rabbit Oh goodness, I thought I replied to this, ahaha... I really need to start bookmarking stuff.

"I think you should keep doing what you feel is best for you. If it means putting this senshi stuff behind you for awhile, I don't think anyone would blame you. This isn't easy for anyone of us." Her hand moved from where it had been on his shoulder to rest atop his head a moment before she pulled it away, feeling self-conscious at the moment. She'd never really been good with feelings, especially her own, so helping someone else just made her feel awkward. And hopefully she wasn't overstepping any boundaries. "I'd like to think she'd still want something to do with you but it seems like you've got yourself figured out a little in the chance she doesn't." Not that it didn't still hurt, she was sure. But he had a very good way of looking at it. "Enif," she replied with a soft smile, moving to stand back up and stretch a little. "I'm Sailor Enif. And you are more then welcome. I'm glad to have been an ear for you." Unoderi what's this? a wild reply has shown itself!

Cadmus mirrored her smile, small and bellied with a bit of awkwardness. He could've stood there for however long time permitted, but he did had a life to return to, and he seemed to internally sigh to where he was headed.
"I-I'm Cadmus!" he managed to squawk a little too loudly, flushing again at his volume. "And, um, I should go home. My dad's probably home or something... T-thanks again, Enif. B-bye!"
He backpedaled into the thicket of the park before bounding off for home, feeling a little better to have had someone lend their ear to his troubles.

"It's nice to meet you~" she replied, hands behind her back and the smile a little sweeter. It was easier when you had a name to connect with someone, especially after listening to their problems. It was almost like they connected in some way, though she hesitated to call them friends. One meeting a friend did not make and she wasn't sure she was ready to make friends yet either. He was also really adorable. And leaving? Blinking gold eyes, she watched as he started to backpedal his way out. "Have a nice night!" she called after him, waiting until he was gone to stretch a bit then move back for her own home. She'd come back tomorrow and continue trying to figure out this powered form of hers. But for now she was glad to have been help to someone in need.
