Another night, another time of uneventful patrolling.

Cadmus was thumbing away on his personal phone, not his senshi one, trying to make the time pass. Instead of going out of his way to cover his route from the park to the mall, the boy decided to take it easy and let trouble come to him.

...If there was anything out there, of course. Dusting a youma was easy, but the Negaverse had another thing coming if he was let going to let them pass him by without a fight. All of them were jerks; even the "peaceful" ones.

To occupy his mind (it wasn't as if he were gearing for a fight), Cadmus used some mental thought to process just who the heck decided this thing anyway? Patrolling, he meant; who was the bright guy, gal, person who thought it right for senshi to waste their precious time to protect the innocent?

Then again, if I'm not the hero, who will be? Cadmus thought. Somebody's gotta kick Negaverse and youma butts, and you can't rely on everyone with magical powers or a baseball bat to take care of that...

It had been the first night off in a week for Jules, but a night off from one job meant having to play catch-up with the other. Because she'd pulled an extra shift for some sweet, sweet overtime money, she knew she was behind schedule when it came to her energy collecting. She could take some from patients, sure, but carelessness would catch up to her if she continued to harvest from the same place she worked - no, she needed a break from the hospital scene, anyways.

Closing her eyes, the jeans and t-shirt she'd worn to the park shifted and faded away, replaced with her dark uniform and heels. Slipping from behind the tree she'd taken as a hiding place, blue eyes began to search the area for any vagrants that might be calling one of the iron-wrought benches their homes for the evening. Those same blue eyes widened, however, as a particularly nasty feeling overtook her - had she made a mistake, in choosing the park as her hunting ground for the night?

As if one cue, Cadmus became aware of an energy signature near him. It wasn't so far off he could ignore it, but lesser than what he expected. Nevertheless, he decided to give in to duty and check it out after descending from the jungle gym.

Unfortunately, even pinpointing a location was harder than expected. Man, they should invent, like, an internal GPS for finding people, he sighed, peering and crouching near the trees. When he was aware of the Negaverse agent in his periphery, though, he smiled.

Gotcha.

Then, without provocation, Cadmus clapped his hands together and thrust them out in the her direction. An avalanche of cranberries followed, swallowing the area.

There wasn't enough time to try to pinpoint the exact location of the Horrible Awful Feeling, not to mention it didn't help that wherever this being was, he or she was shrouded by the mask of darkness overtaking the park. Save for the lamps scattered across the public property, she could only make out shadows of figures in the evening air.

"What th--"

She'd heard the rustle above her at first, something hitting the leaves and the branches of the tree she'd just slipped around from. Within seconds, she felt the stinging pummel of whatever had been hitting the trees now hitting her, hard little pellets that elicited noise after noise from the Lieutenant's throat.

Of all the times not to be able to teleport!

Stumbling backwards, both fists balled themselves up as she looked frantically around for the cause of the sudden onslaught of strange, orb-like objects. Had Angelite the time to stop and inspect the fallen pieces, she might have scoffed at the fact she was fleeing from berries of all things. But she didn't have the time - only the knowledge that there was a being out there stronger than herself and it had definitely already spotted her.

One gloved hand moved up to shield her face from the raining pellets. "If I leave, will you STOP?"

Maybe this mysterious being would be willing to compromise??

Oh. Oh, this was fun.

Cadmus wasn't a bully; he knew his fair share of how much they suck. However, he felt a little bit of satisfaction picking on the Negaverse lieutenant. It almost felt justified; they were the bad guy, weren't they?

When Angelite mentioned leaving, the senshi was a tad disappointed. She wasn't going to put up a fight? At all? Where was the fun in that? Well, the fun was lost when Cadmus was on the losing side, but something was better than nothing.

Against his better judgement, the Cadmus revealed himself to Angelite, and huffed with arms knotted across chest. "Even if you run, I'm gonna chase you," he said. "'Cause I know you're up to no good."

About the time the pink haired nemesis showed up, the hail of flying objects ceased. Whether intentional or not, Angelite silently appreciated the reprieve from the attack. The young man who revealed himself from the shadows looked far too young to be an actual opponent - but then again, wasn't this war being fought by teenagers for the most part? Who thought up these rules?

"Aren't you out a little late to be playing chase, kid?"

Her stethoscope dangled from around her neck, continuing to be the useless weapon that it always had been from the start. When she spoke to the invisible powers about forcing teens to fight teens, she'd put in a word about giving lieutenants pieces of absolute crap for weapons too.

"And you don't know what I'm up to." The bell on her stethoscope bounced on her chest and she paused, trying to think of something clever. Lifting it up from around her neck, she dangled it for him to see. "Look. I was trying to actually check up on someone who'd lost a lot of energy, okay? You seem to be really eager to judge me before getting to know me."

Why did everyone say that. Why did everyone have to mention he was a kid.

What felt like a tantrum was brewing within the teen; he wasn't a kid anymore. Sure, he wasn't an adult, but he wasn't a kid—he protected people from harm and dusted youma! He was anything but a kid!

Swallowing back a desire to stomp his feet and wave fists, he said, "FYI, justice doesn't have a bedtime." Geeze, that was really lame. "And someone's got to stop you from— Wait, what."

Cadmus cocked his head to the side, trying his damnedest to make sense of what the lieutenant was saying. "You're... checking on someone who lost energy? Did you... take that energy? Then why are you checking up on them? To make sure they're alive? But I thought..." He shook his head. "N-never mind that, why are you taking energy in the first place? Leave... whoever that person is... alone!"

Heels clicked together and the dark haired woman let out a series of tsks as arms folded across her chest, the stethoscope dangling from her grip as it gently swayed in the air.

"Sounds like someone's just as good at making assumptions as he is attacking people without provocation."

Turning on her heels, her arms loosened from across her chest as one rose to wave back towards the Order senshi in a carefree farewell. "But sure, go ahead and let that old hobo die. It'll be your fault anyways."

The smile that had been plastered on her face fell into a worried grimace the moment she'd turned her back to the boy, black heels moving towards the brush ahead of her. Angelite could only hope that there was indeed a hobo in need of rescuing, allowing her a quick escape back into the shadows.

Cadmus blanched, and searched eyes about for whoever or wherever the hobo was. Part of him was shaking; was there really a person on the verge of death? Should he let her go? Surely she'd be able to save his life!

...But the other was trying to see passed her ways, citing it wasn't that gullible. This was a Negaverse agent, when were they ever honest? However, slowly but surely, Cadmus's doubt was overshadowed by the right to life, and he withdrew his attempt to attack her again.

"F-fine," Cadmus said reluctantly, taking a step back. "I'm—JUST this once—I'm going to let you go and take care of that guy. But... BUT, if I see you here tonight, or any other night for that matter, I'm not gonna hold back. So just... Go. Go help him... please."
