In the past, Cadmus was told to run if he sensed a Negaverse agent, and it became the reflexive notion to do so even now. Nowadays, well, it seemed his attitude had taken a complete 360 regarding the Negaverse overall. After becoming a full-fledged senshi and his attacks strengthening, the senshi thought he could truly defend himself, though the adverse fear of Chaos reluctantly remained.
In this case, the teen became aware of something dark to his left. He was sprawled out atop the jungle gym of the playground on his patrol route, taking a break that almost subsumed into a nap because he was so utterly tired. Cadmus had senshidom on the brain so much it was affecting his sleep, and his forty winks turned into a measly ten.
Groaning, Cadmus pushed himself up to standing, and weakly stalked his way toward the source. If heroism wasn't driving him then, he would've been inclined to let the, suddenly strong energy signature, go for the night.
But Chaos never rests, and nor should he.
"Hey, what're you doing?" he called out to the Negaverse agent. "Stop, or I'll kick your a**!"

Arseno had been wandering the park powered up, not really caring if he ran into anyone else. He was on the search for some person to drain energy from and now that he didn't have to be directly touching them, being able to drain energy was a bit easier. Though he made sure not to drain so much energy that someone collapsed as he was walking by. That would have been weird and he would have felt compelled to give them some first aid or call an ambulance. That's what he got for wanting to be a doctor. So he was just walking, minding his own business, when he felt the aura of a senshi and sighed in disappointment as he felt the aura coming closer. This senshi was clearly in the mood to fight. Arseno had just wanted to drain some energy and be done with it, but now he had to go through this song and dance again. However, when he turned around and saw the senshi, his eyes widened a bit and he cursed under his breath. It was the brat from before! But it looked like puberty finally caught up a bit, as this was definitely a teen standing before him now. Great, the one senshi who had managed to get on his nerves before was once again challenging him. "Oh good, you're here again. Why don't you mind your own business for once!" He quietly summoned his weapon, glad that it was a bit more useful now.

The sight of a familiar face, or, well, lack thereof because the man's face was covered, made Cadmus groan. It was only when he was within a visible distance did the teen register the energy signature as one he knew. In fact, it felt like a lifetime ago he shoddily took on the now Negaverse captain and pretended to be the hero.
You're in berry big trouble!
I can't believe I effing said that, Cadmus thought, mentally face-palming. I was such a pretentious kid then, yeesh.
He almost felt sorry for Arseno seeing him during that stage of his life, but those feelings fell to the wayside when he came to the conclusion that, yes, he just instigated a fight and, yes, he had to follow through with it. The musts of a senshi were a little muddled that way. At least, to him.
"Listen, bro. I'm, like, not really in the mood to fight," he said in a matter-of-fact tone. "In actuality, I kinda just wanna lay down in the snow and pass out, but you're up to no good probably, I don't know, collecting energy or something? Stealing a few starseeds? Well, whatever the case, you don't need them and I gotta stop you, so..."
Cadmus almost yawned, that would've been embarrassing. Instead, he clapped his hands together, thrust them out before him, and shouted, "Bouncing Berry Barrage!"
Suddenly, an avalanche of berries bounced there way toward the Negaverse agent, engulfing the area around him.

Arseno rolled his eyes at the other's behavior. Even though the boy had grown up a bit, he was still the same senshi as he had seen before. "If you truly weren't in the mood to fight, you would go on your way. You haven't even see me drain anyone yet to even justify starting a fight with me." Okay sure, the kid had predicted what he was PLANNING to do, but that was a bit different than what could actually happen after all. It may have just been his luck that night to not see anyone in the park after all. However, the senshi had decided to attack and Arseno would have to defend himself. Oh good, it's the berry wave again. He thought as he once again, covered his face and positioned himself so that he had more balance just in case this attack was meant to knock him off his feet. If it did, he could teleport, but he didn't want to waste energy like that just yet. He would attack as soon as the wave died down.

Cadmus rolled his eyes behind his attack, and when the cranberries ceased, huffed in Arseno's direction. "Sorry, I'm not one to half-a** my duties," Cadmus said in reply. "Just walking way when there is a Negaverse agent doing or gonna do something isn't my way."
Even though I'm kinda in the mood to just, like, go...
A deep breath left him; Cadmus always felt winded after his first attack, as it took some good energy out of him just to concentrate and use it. Unfortunately, it also left him with one more use, so he doubled down and kept his wits about him during the window of time for the other to attack.

Arseno didn't really listen to what this kid had to say. Instead he took his opportunity when he could and decided to rush the kid. He positioned his weapon and went at the senshi, and when he got close enough, swung his weapon out in front of him, pointed side aimed at the senshi. However, he knew that there was the possibility of this kid dodging the attack, and tried to make sure that he kept on the move so that if the kid could attack quickly again, that Arseno could perhaps dodge the next one. It didn't seem to go out in all directions after all. "You should probably change that way of thinking sometime." He muttered, still annoyed that he had been interrupted in such a way.

"Huh—? Wha—! Oh s**t!"
Cadmus didn't mean to underestimate Arseno's abilities, but his tired mind completely disregarded the fact a Negaverse captain can do more then a lieutenant. Eyes wide, he barely caught sight of the stick coming his way before he was clocked on the side of his head.
The senshi held back a scream by gritting his teeth, and only managed to distance himself away from the captain to curse repeatedly.
"Agh, son of a b***h!" he cried, holding onto the side of his face. When he removed his hand, he blinked away the tears that had welled up, and knew he'd have one hell of a shiner to take home from this battle.
Angered now, Cadmus advanced to Arseno with a balled fist, wishing to return the pain in full.

Fortunately for Arseno, the weapon had made contact and had hurt enough to distract the senshi for a bit. However, the other quickly recovered and soon Arseno realized that there was a fist flying towards him. He quickly tried to think of something to defend himself with and shot up his arm, hoping to block the attack, however, when he moved the fist did manage to hit him in just the right spot at the elbow, which kept him from using his dominant arm for a bit. Arseno grunted a bit at the pain and took a leap back, hoping to get away from the senshi. However, he had to keep moving because he knew if he kept in place for too long, that the senshi would be able send another cranberry attack at him.

There was a flutter of satisfaction in Cadmus's stomach to see his fist make contact, even if it was on the base of the man's arm and not, well, his face (or, again, lack thereof).
The fight in him was telling Cadmus to advance forward, but his waning strength was telling him to fall back, pushing him towards home. Plus, his vision was still obscured by tears and pain. The threat of losing his eye certainly didn't sound savory, or even wanted.
He'd have to run, but just dashing didn't seem safe with the chance of a retaliation. So Cadmus opted for a distraction; clapping his hands together and sending another avalanche of cranberries toward the captain. Hopefully this would buy his some time to think up a getaway.

This time, Arseno was ready for the wave. However, that didn't mean that he had a good look at his opponent. If he could, he would have teleported to him, but he had been told that it was better to use teleportation at this stage for getting away from something rather than trying to use it to attack considering how much energy it took. However, he made sure not to get directly hit by the wave again this time, and tried to get to one side so he could get out of it as fast as he could. However, he had his other arm up to his face in case his eyes needed protection from the berry juice.

Though Cadmus was unsure how well his attack work, he was aware Arseno wasn't coming at him, so this was the widest window he had for an escape. Of course, there was the childish desire within him to yell something back; a keen "Smell you later!" or "Screw you, a*****e!" just to get his frustrations across, but instead, Cadmus fled in acquiesce.
Once Cadmus was a good distance away, his mind was consumed with explaining to his father about how he received a black eye overnight.
I tripped and fell down the stairs, punching myself in the face is the stupidest sounding s**t ever, but... Cadmus winced at the thought. That's the best I got. He's got to believe it...
SSBrosB we can end it there if you'd like, though feel free to make a post after this one~

A few seconds later and the attack was over. Arseno quickly readied himself but realized that the senshi wasn't there anymore and that he couldn't even sense the other's aura anywhere near him. Arseno quietly 'hmphed' to himself as he sent the weapon away and decided it was time to go back to his apartment. Even that small attack had drained him a bit and clearly there wasn't anyone in the park that night to drain energy from, making this a complete and total waste of time. And he was sure that wouldn't be the last time he saw that senshi. Unoderi All right, last post from me, thanks so much!
