Alphubel was nervously waiting in the park area near a playground, walking back and forth unable to stay still. Through the white moon grapevine, he had finally found someone who was willing to teach him a bit about fighting. He was glad of course, now he might be able to do... something. But he was still unsure. This senshi, and it was a senshi and not a knight, could be really hard on him, even for his first time and maybe Alphubel wouldn't be that good of a student and and... Well, that's why he was pacing around so much. He was ready though, ready to learn as much as he could. Of course he would have to start from the VERY beginning. He couldn't so much as make a fist properly let alone know how to throw a punch correctly.

Ah, the playground. Cadmus had visited it so many times, both in his youth and as a senshi, that the teen knew its amenities like the freckles on his face. He had always favored the jungle gym, especially the tippy-top which he could now climb up to, and was seated upon it when he became aware of Alphubel beneath him.
Attempting to strike up a favorable opinion of himself, Cadmus dropped down from the jungle gym with a flip hoping to impress, but ended up falling on his a** because a.) even as a full-fledged senshi he still couldn't nail his landings and. b.) he was an idiot.
Nevertheless, the boy bounced back to his feet and greeted the Polaris knight with a cheery smile. "Hey, you're... that guy!" he said, having literally forgotten the other guy's name. He'd apologize later. "I'm Cadmus. You're here for those lessons, right?"

Alphubel had been so concerned and nervous that he hadn't even sensed the senshi. And he was still so nervous that he also didn't notice the senshi failing the flip and landing butt first. It was only when the senshi started to speak that he realized he was here, and did a quick "eep!" when he was spoken to, being completely taken by surprise. He nodded his head as confirmation though and held out his hand. The senshi seemed nice enough. "Alphubel. Thank you very much for helping me. I'm... well if there was a level zero with fighting, I would be at that level. So any advice you could give me would be great." He replied glad that he would be getting some help with all of this.

Cadmus gave a hearty laugh and grabbed Alphubel's hand, shaking it a little stronger than required. Mentally, he noted the page's name, and jeered himself into remembering it this time. He didn't mean it, but the teen did feel a little guilty other people's names went in one ear and out the other. He was better with faces, really!
"Right, right, nice to meet you, Alphubel," he said. "From what I'm hearing, you're not much of a fighter? No problem! I'll try my best in teaching you all of what I know." Which wasn't much, but...
"So let me just gauge when you're coming from, since I don't know a lot about knights. By the feel of your signature, you're a page, right? That means you don't know any magic?" Cadmus tilted his head. "Hrm... So I guess that means you wanna focus more on physical attacks and defense, right?"

All right, well it was going as well as it could so far. Alphubel's new instructor seemed ready and willing to teach a newbie like him, and Alphubel was glad for the chance. "Yes. Completely new. I'm ready to learn." Well, he certainly sounded like a high schooler, Cadmus probably didn't mind. He looked almost or at Alphubel's age so they were both probably in school still. "Yeah, physical attacks and defense would be awesome. As much as I would like to use magic, since I don't have the ability to do so, and I want to be able to contribute as a page, I need to learn some fighting techniques, right?" Sure, he had only gotten into a couple of battles at this point, but he knew there would be harder ones that he would face eventually.

Cadmus clutched his chin between forefinger and thumb and paced about the area a bit, trying to think up a good regime in his head. He had little experience when it came to training anyone, let alone a knight with no magic. In fact, his first plan of discretion was to just attack and hope for the best. That's... kinda how he handled all of his battles until now.
"Okay, well, let's begin with some simple things: A basic punch and block. So, like, I'm sure you know how to throw a fist. Most movies kinda give that away, but there's some things you can be aware of. For example, try to keep your fist level with your shoulder. You can keep it steady that way. As for block, use your forearms, like this." Cadmus crossed his before his face. "That's pretty much a universal way of avoiding black eyes. At least, I've never gotten one yet."
"So..." Cadmus walked some distance away and beckoned Alphubel. "Come at me with a punch first, I'll tell you how well you do."

Alphubel took a little bit to flex his fingers a bit before finally forming them into the shape he hoped was the correct way to make one. He had been told before by his brother that there were ways that one could break their thumb if they formed the fist wrong and then punched someone or something. "All right. I think I got it." He said, almost to himself, and then looked at Cadmus' face again. "Here I go then." He replied before sending his fist out to Cadmus. Although he hoped to do something, he also hoped that something wasn't breaking the other's nose.

Cadmus reflected his own lessons by holding his arms up before his face to protect it from the punch. He grunted a bit as Alphubel's fist made contact, but brushed it off; had he been a chibi this time around, he'd probably be flat on the floor.
He nodded his head approvingly at Alphubel, even adding a thumbs up to the gesture. "That was good!" he said. "Just careful with punches, they bring you close to the opponent. So you should learn to drop them as well, before they can strike. Like this."
Cadmus dropped to his haunches and swept a leg in front of Alphubel, demonstrating a drop kick. "This is really, really useful when the opponent is coming at you. Drop low, and then sweep them to the ground. If you get them on their back, that can put them in a vulnerable position, and then you can punch them. Here, why don't you try?" Cadmus stood still. "Don't worry about hurting me. I'll just return it in full," he laughed jokingly.

Alphubel felt a bit of pride when he was praised for his punch. He would have to remember how he did it the next time he was in a fight. He said a quick "Thanks" before listening to Cadmus again. He wasn't sure about the drop kick, not because of not knowing how to kick, he played soccer after all, but more the fact that he was in such a long robe that it might catch a bit, making it harder to kick. However, he tried to do as Cadmus instructed, and dropped before sending out a kick, somehow managing to miss his robe too.

"Wah—!"
Okay, he wasn't prepared for that. Cadmus fell backward and landed hard on his tailbone; puffing out a breath as the wind escaped him. However, he soon erupted into laughter, and pushed himself up to sitting.
"Good one!" he said. "Okay, then, just one more. This one's a little harder and I'm gonna need you for this demonstration."
Turning his back to Alphubel, Cadmus beckoned him to his shoulder. "Try and grab me from behind," he said. "When you do, I'm going to flip you over my shoulder. The landing's gonna be a bit hard to control, but I promise not to make it too hard on you. So, c'mon."
Whenever Cadmus was aware of Alphubel behind him, he used all of his strength to grab on to the other male's wrist and wrench him forward. The super didn't slam him to the sod, just awkwardly tumbled him, though that doesn't go without saying it wouldn't hurt.
Whenever the page of Polaris righted himself, Cadmus said, "All right, your turn. Try and flip me the same way, but this time, use all of your strength."

Alphubel wasn't ready for being thrown over Cadmus' shoulder. And unfortunately landed a bit hard. He let out an "oomph" as he hit the ground, but was glad for the demonstration. He was a bit nervous, doing it to Cadmus however, even if the other male was encouraging him. He could grab his wrist wrong or he could move him over the shoulder incorrectly, which would probably hurt both of them. "Are... are you sure? I don't want to hurt you." But he quickly readied himself, trying to do the best he could to launch the other over his shoulder. He grabbed the other's wrist when he felt it was behind him and within reach and used all of his strength to flip him over!

Cadmus smiled brightly. "Yea, I don't mind! I want you to hurt me!" he said.
Uh.
Cadmus chagrined. "I-I don't mean like that, I'm not a creeper! I'm just saying, it's gonna hurt if you do it right, so... Just... You get it, go ahead!"
Suddenly, the world collapsed in over itself as Cadmus was thrown over the page's shoulder. He hit the ground with an audible thump!, but as before, he drew a breath that eventually morphed into a bellyful laugh.
"Haha, good! That was good, too!" the senshi said, getting up and dusting dirt from his fuku. "Those are just some basic things, and... pretty much all I know, ahaha." He scratched the back of his neck. "So if you wanna learn more, I really encourage you to, like, take some lessons. Some boxing or mixed martial arts or something. Anyway, I hope I helped you some?"

The scarf hid Alphubel's smile, but he was quite glad for the lesson. Even if it was just some basics, he was still better than he had been before at least. "Yes, thank you! And I definitely will. I haven't been able to, or at least I haven't had a reason to yet, but now that I'm a page I'm definitely going to have to try something." His brother had said that he would be willing to join him if Alphubel ever wanted to join some self-defense or martial arts class. "Thank you, once again. This is definitely a good start!" That was when he realized how late it was getting and had to get back to his dorm. "Oh no, I didn't realize we had been here so long!" It didn't seem like it had been a long time, but it was starting to get late. "I have to get back to my dorm now, but I really appreciate you coming out here to teach me!" And with that, he gave a wave to the other and bounded off for his dormitory. Unoderi All right, I assumed you wanted to end it soon, so that's my last post! Thanks so much!
