ASPIRATIONS/PERSONALITY/BIO  Aspirations: At the moment Makani has no idea about what he is going to do with his life, still getting used to life in Zena. His destiny though lies along the path of the Mage, though he's doesn't know it yet.
Personality: Makani is quiet, withdrawn, and likely to cling to his father looking for comfort as well as carrying about the little, abandoned Raptrix pup, Rae who he found completely by accident. His older sister, as well as some of the others, aren't too happy to have him about given his presence means that his father was dallying with a Wind Tribe woman. It's something he doesn't quite understand since he loved his mother dearly, as well as his father, and is a bit too young to understand why their relationship wasn't exactly a welcome one.
Bio: The halfbreed boy was born and originally lived in Sauti with his mother, getting the occasional visit from his father when the man was able to leave Zena for an extended period of time. The relationship between his parents wasn't one that was looked upon very well in his village of origin but it wasn't exactly something he'd planned, instead he'd met the Wind Tribeswoman by chance a few years after the loss of his first wife and they hit it off. Due to how accepting his tribe was of the woman she chose to stay in Sauti to raise her son while his father remained in Zena. The boy always looked forward to visits from his father, finding the man to be quite fascinating, as well as the stories that he was always telling about the frozen world of Zena and the various beasts that live there.
Much to the heartbreak of the boy and his father his mother passed early when she was struck by a venomous creature while out on a walk. Upon learning the news he finally decided to take the boy back to Zena with him. Due to the way that people act around him, as well as the loss of his mother, he's ended up a bit on the withdrawn side, often seen clinging to his father. The man has been doing his best to get him integrated into the tribe and with his family, though it seems his older daughter isn't quite a fan of a halfbreed child of a woman who wasn't her mother suddenly joining the family.

GROWTH CHART
~ The adorable little Makani in one of his happier moments while he listens intently to his father telling stories while Rae rolls around nearby playing with with an old bone that the older Ice Tribesman gave to her. The boy is a bit of an outcast at the moment, though he doesn't quite understand why, but he tries not to let it get to him. The only one that really bothers him with her dislike is his older sister. He hopes that she grows to like him with time though.
~ Makani has reached the stage of prentice and is looking as adorable as ever. He is eager to find his place in the world, to learn to get along on his own, and to hopefully find Lusala again. It has been some time since he's seen his friend and he misses chatting with him. He will visit again soon Makani hopes.
~ Makani is working slowly but surely getting the hang of his magic at this point, all while having to deal with the war that is threatening the world. It's a strange sort of thing, war, but he wants to do his best to keep his sister and friends safe. Someone needs to keep an eye on her, it just seems that the one that is doing it is someone blind. Good thing he has his magic to back him up.
~ A powerful but strange Sage Makani does his best to help those around him. So long as you can deal with his warped sense of humor he's a loyal friend!

MAKANI'S HOME
~ Makani lives in a small home in Zena with his father and his older sister, as well as Rae, his Raptrix pup. His room is a simple little place, put together on the fly, and is located on the ground level of the house. His bed consists of a pile of warm furs for him to hide under at night or whenever he is feeling cold. His sister's room is one that he knows is off limits while their father's room is one that he finds himself going to at night quite often, seeking comfort from the man.

~ Mother's Necklace: A memento from his mother who passed recently the item is made up of some gemstone beads and feathers, each one a little different in texture. He loves to touch the necklace and think about his mother, missing her greatly.

MAKANI'S FAMILIARS
~ Rae is a fluffy raptrix that has grown up with Makani and acts as the part of his seeing eye dog. She is a loyal and well behave beast, often seen at his side, wanting to keep him safe no matter what.
~ Coil is a strange creature that Makani accidentally tamed. His sister is far from amused so he does his best to keep Coil far from her as she isn't the biggest fan of sailscales. The creature is a bit clingy but Makani has grown fond of him.

EARTHLINGS: WIND TRIBE
The people of the Wind Tribe most clearly resemble the humans of the 21st century. Of course, the inhabitants of Tendaji are unaware of this fact. They are a nomadic people and can often be seen laden with bags and satchels of various shapes and sizes. Sauti is a perilous land, incapable of supporting life in one single area for an extended period of time, so the wandering members of the Wind Tribe carry everything they need with them at all times.
There are a few, sparse places throughout Sauti that can sustain life. In these areas, members of the Wind Tribe also live, maxing out the sustainability of the spot and making it impossible for newcomers to move in.
These Earthlings possesses fair skin. Their hair and eyes are both often light in color. To the other tribes, whose coloration is so unique and bold, they may appear somewhat lacking in color, even washed out. Their ears are short and rounded, making them not quite as adept at picking up sounds as the other tribes, but that skill is less necessary in Sauti, where the mountains provide an astounding echo. Like the other Earthlings, the Wind Tribe sports crystal formations on their bodies. Their crystals are pink in hue and appear most predominantly along their arms and shoulders.
Religion: The Wind Tribe worships Bergchi, most commonly referred to simply as "Chi," the often icy goddess of the mountains. They believe her to be their originator and mother, but not necessarily the highest power in the world. They believe that all people return to her in death and when speaking of those who have passed, will often mention the goddess as well, saying "Bergchi be with them," "Bergchi guide them," or some other variant.
Government: The Wind Tribe of Sauti and the Ice Tribe of Zena share a council-style government. Both tribes have a varying number of council members; however many each group deems worthy of the position. All members of the council sit in on meetings and vote on any matters that come up. The Ice Tribe, however, has a heavier hand, and their decisions are weighed more heavily than those of the Wind Tribe. The nomadic Wind Tribe, however, doesn't seem too discouraged by the arrangement.

EARTHLINGS: ICE TRIBE
Although their society does not possess a true aristocracy, the people of the Ice Tribe certainly give off a regal vibe. They live in the mountainous area of Zena, towards the boundary of Sauti, where it is cold and often snowy. Therefore, their clothing is often lined in fur, protecting them, to an extent, from the harsher elements.
These Earthlings have light blue skin. Their hair is usually a darker shade of blue, but can sometimes be mistaken as having a slight tinge or purple, or be dark enough to be considered black. Their eyes range from yellow to amber to gold, but all seem to possess a radiant, almost glowing quality. Like all Earthlings, the Ice Tribe sports crystals. Theirs, however, seem to have an almost rockier quality. They are a dark, bluish purple and can usually be found in bulk around these peoples’ necks, front torso, and inner thighs.
Many (although not all) of the Ice Tribe members consider themselves superior to other Earthlings, especially the nomadic Wind Tribe. Due to the structure of their government, some Ice Tribe members feel that they rule over the Wind Tribe, although their relationship has never degenerated to the level of slavery.
Religion: Like the Wind Tribe, the Ice Tribe worships Bergchi, or “Chi”, the goddess of the mountains. Bergchi is their creator and mother, although not necessarily the highest power in Tendaji. When a person passes on, they meet Bergchi in the next world. Their sacred mountain, far to the east of Zena, is called Mount Xi’i.
