It was one of those journeys that she had done everything in her power to get out of having to go on but in the end here she was, in the lands of Sauti, the place that her little brother was born. Looking around she couldn't quite get the draw of the place or why it was so important they came here. It was so hot and dry and boring... well, maybe not boring, all the rocky outcroppings were alright to look at. Still, it wasn't her home. In thinking that though she found herself watching Makani a lot, wondering if that was what he thought when it came to Zena. He came there only because he had to, because his mother hand passed away, but it wasn't as though being there was his choice, right?

Sighing a little she pushed up to his feet, shedding the cloak that she had been wearing, as well as her armbands, boots, and set to rolling up her pants, "Its really hot here, isn't it?" She demanded her of her brother, as if it was his fault.

Makani tilted his head toward his sister's voice before giving a little giggle, "Yeah, it's nice, huh?" He was more then happy not to have to drag a cloak around all over the place. He was back to wearing just pants and his precious necklace, the one his late mother had given to him, and was enjoying Sauti's warmth to the fullest. He was never happier then this moment, so glad that their father decided upon the trip to visit his mother's people. It wouldn't be a long one, just to check on them and to let Makani visit with them, but it was still a welcome change, "I don't think Rae likes it though." He said, patting a hand against the Raptrix pup's back, marveling over how much hair he could feel stuck to his hand, "I think she's shedding."

Eira nodded, "Yeah, Flurry isn't a fan either, are you buddy?" She said, looking up at the sprite that was sulking behind her hair, avoiding the glaring sun. She gave a little laugh, "You and me both." She said, not a fan of the heat anymore then Flurry was but at least the other two were having fun, even if Rae was shedding all over the place, "You two just be careful." She cautioned when they started to run around, knowing it should be alright since the camp was open enough and Rae was there to act as a seeing eye Raptrix, but still... she worried a little, not that she'd admit to it.

"Do make a habit of watching where you are going." Herluin said before he continued on his way, off to find something for lunch for himself and his family. He'd given the Wind Tribesman a once over and didn't think him any threat to the two that were at camp, meaning that he was alright to continue on his way. Were the guy the sort that gave off threatening vibes he'd of chased him off first but he felt that it would be alright.

As he called out to Eira and Makani both of them turned toward the voice, Eira starring at the new coming for a moment before she allowed herself to admire him. He was handsome enough, something she liked, but certainly not her type. If she were ever to pick a man for herself he would be Ice Tribe, of that she was determined. It didn't mean she couldn't enjoy the scenery though, "Mmm, hello there." She said in a friendly tone of voice, "My name is Eira, this is my brother Makani." She was doing much better at introducing him as 'brother' instead of 'half brother' these days, a marked improvement over how she used to be.

Makani was quick to hurry forward, hands outstretched, and happily hugged the prentice, "Wow! You smell so nice!" He chirped, ever the sort that was happy to meet with a Wind Tribesman, loving how all of them smelled like the sun and mountains of Sauti, this one especially. He gave a happy sound like a purr and Eira gave a groan, reaching out to catch hold of him, peeling him off of Natsu.

"Don't mind him, it's been a while since he's been in Sauti." She said, trying not to get miffed at her brother for acting so oddly. She knew why he was doing it after all but still, if she wasn't allowed to hug random cute boys neither was he! Not that it was the same situation but still, unfair!

Eira seemed to relax a little when it seemed as though the guy was alright with Makani's clinging, not something that she had expected, but if it was alright. After a moment she released her brother so that he could step closer to the one called Natsu again, "If you are certain." She said, wondering if the people of this tribe were just a little bit easier going when it came to the halfbreed people of their blood. She knew there were those in her own tribe that didn't like Makani for what he was, she had been the same when he first showed up as well. Alright, she would allow this then though if the guy ever looked as though he might be becoming aggressive she might just have to knock him senseless. She wasn't the sort that liked to fight, she was a lady after all, but he wasn't a member of her tribe she she would allow herself to do so.

Makani seemed thrilled at the fact that not only did the new comer not mind him giving him hugs but that Eira was gonna let him do so too! Sauti really was so wonderful, wasn't it? It seemed to make people so much more cheerful, most likely due to the warmth of the place he bet. When Natsu started to tell him about how he had a nephew that liked to latch onto people and bite them his hazy yellow eyes went quite wide, "Oh... wow, doesn't he get in trouble for biting? Rae always does." He commented, patting the puppy on the head. She wasn't allowed to bite unless it was biting something dangerous his father had said, maybe Natsu's nephew thought everyone was dangerous and that was why he bit them? Strange...

"Oh! Yes! I love games! I play them a lot with Rae and with Borra and with Borra's Raoti named Baroke!" He said in a happy manner then added, "I'd play with Lusala too but he wasn't really able to play games though he did give good hugs." He explained happily, as though Natsu would know all of those names.

Eira sighed, lifting a hand to rub it against her temples before explaining, "Borra is a member of the Ice Tribe, Baroke is his pet, and Lusala was a passing Wind Tribe merchant that came by to sell things to the villagers." Best that she let Natsu know about those that her brother was talking about since he was likely to have never heard of any of them save Lusala if he and his father sold to the Wind Tribe as well as the Ice Tribe.

Makani clapped his hands in a happy manner, "I would like that." He said in an excitable manner. He was all for it, wanting to play while he was back in Sauti, seeing no reason why they should just sit around and do nothing when there was so much that could be done here! Sauti was, at least in his eyes, a wonderful and magical place, it was his homeland, where he was born, and it was where he wanted to return one day when he was much older, "Let's play!" He said, reaching out to take hold of Natsu's hand after a moment of searching for it before he tugged on it, wanting the games to begin straight away.

At the mention of his sister playing too Makani tilted his head so that he could better hear what answer she might give. It was hard to tell, it all depended on her mood, if she liked the look of Natsu, and various other things. The lack of any women being about might put her in a better state so... maybe there was a chance? He gave a smile, "Please, Eira?" He asked, hoping that maybe if he asked nicely and cutely she might cave.

The Ice Tribe woman crossed her arms for a moment over her ample chest, seeming as though she were thinking on it. Did she really want to try to keep up with the two of them as they played... well, whatever it was they were going to play? Not particularly... but at the same time did she want yet another cute guy stolen away by her brother? She wasn't sure what sort of magic he had but she didn't care for it. After a moment of thought she put on her best smile, "I suppose I can try to keep up with you boys." She told them. She would do her best to keep up the best that she could she decided before pointing at her brother, "I require that you take good care while playing with him, alright? I know he acts like he is on top of things but he can't see. You need to adjust the game accordingly, alright?" She actually sounded worried, something that had Makani giggling in a delighted manner, liking how his sister was slowly softening toward him.

Makani gave Natsu a smile, "I will be alright so long as I have Rae, she plays the part of my eyes." He said, motioning to the fluffy Raptrix pup that was standing at his side.

Eira squeaked as the guy caught hold of her hand, cheeks flushing a little bit, "Ahh... No problem." She said, finding it odd that he was so friendly and hands on, not used to that when dealing with the Ice Tribe prentices, especially utterly oblivious ones like Borra, "It will be fun I am sure, been a while since I have played." That was an understatement given all that had happened in the past leaving her unable to really 'play' per say. Maybe it wouldn't be too horrible, provided of course that she wasn't forced to run. Ladies didn't run! At least that was how she felt about it. When it was pointed out that Makani seemed glad that she was playing and she flushed a little, "Ahh... well... I am glad that he is happy." There was a first.

Of course before the game was even to start Natsu seemed to be suddenly fascinated with Rae, squealing over how cute she was. Eira starred down at him for a long moment, then chuckled. He really was an odd one, wasn't he? Ah well, at least he was cute... that made up for the rest of it.

Makani seemed amused as well, giving a little giggle before saying, "Rae is a sweetie, huh? I found her not long after I went to Zena, she was lost and alone, she needed me. Papa let me keep her! And she is such a good girl and goes everywhere with me!" He said in a happy excited manner. His mood seemed to be catchy, as did Natsu's, because Rae started to bark in excitement, her little fluff covered wings giving a flutter, bouncing in place as she did so, getting as excited as everyone else was as the moment.

Makani lifted his hands up to cover his mouth, smothering giggles, as Natsu squealed over the little Raptrix pup in the same way that Makani had done when he'd first met her in the snow. He did his best to keep from showing how funny he thought it was that Natsu was acting like Youngling at the moment, mostly because Makani found it kind of cute. Due to his finding it so cute he didn't say anything, not wanting to make his new friend feel bad about it. Once Natsu seemed to finally come out of it, realizing that he was mesmerized by the puppy, Makani gave him a smile, "It's alright, we both know that Rae is really nice and she seems to like you just as much as you like her." He told their new friend before he reached a hand out to pat Natsu gently on the arm.

"Hm, what do we want to play?" He asked, then looked curious, tilting his head to one side, looking thoughtful over it, before he turned so that his head was tilted toward where he could hear Eira's breathing, "What is a good for us to play? I don't know... I like all games! Ahh... I want to play..."

"A safe game." Eira finished, "I know that things like tag or hide and seek are fun but we can't really let Makani play such dangerous games, the terrain around here the ground is rocky and sharp, he might be hurt. Until our father comes back I need to keep an eye on him. So long as we play a safe game then I am up to try anything... well, anything that doesn't involve a lot of running at least." She added at the end, so that they wouldn't come up with some sort of running game to pass the time.

"Word Association?" Makani tilted his head to one side in a curious manner, listening to the rules of the game before he nodded his head, "I like the sound of this game, it will be fun!" Sure he'd rather be playing a real game but at least this one was a game that Eira would let him play. It seemed that now that she was acting the part of a good big sister that she was becoming quite protective of him, maybe overly so. No matter though, he would endure and enjoy the fact that she was being nice. Even if it meant that he wasn't allowed to play the more physical sorts of games at the moment. She was doing it for his own good so who was he to complain?

Giving a little clap of his hands the fox eyed boy said, "Alright, you get to go first then, Natsu, that way I can better tell exactly how to play." Makani said, sounding as though he were quite eager to begin.

Even Eira seemed to approve of the game, glad that it was one that wouldn't involve a lot of work on her part. She didn't care for running about and this game was just perfect for her distaste of such a thing. The look on Natsu's face said that while he was pleased with the game he picked out, since it went with the rules she laid out, that he would probably prefer playing something else. No matter, she wasn't going to let a stranger dictate things when it came to Makani. Natsu seemed nice enough but it was her job to keep her little brother safe, something that she vowed to do even if it disappointed people when it came to what games they were allowed to play with Makani. Giving a smile and a nod she said, "I think it's the perfect game, it keeps him safe after all. Good pick, Natsu." She praised the blond.

"Go ahead then, you called first turn." She said, giving him a smile and a nod before she looked around a moment, then settled down on the ground, patting it with her hand, "Sit with me, Makani." She said, pleased when he followed her order and sat down next to her.

"Rae!" Makani cried out instantly, both hands pointing to the Raptrix that was sitting next to him, a bright smile on his face, "She is the fluffiest thing ever!" He just knew that had to be the right answer! Though he wasn't quite sure if there was a right answer in the game, was there? He couldn't really say... no matter, he'd given his answer and he would stand by it as being the best answer since he knew that Rae was the best and the most fluffy thing around. Save for maybe Baroke... though if he were to have said Baroke then Rae might have ended up jealous over Borra's pet. Naw, surely Rae was fluffier he decided before leaving against her.

The confidence he had in Rae seemed to pay off as she set to wagging her tail and licking him in a pleased manner, something that had the boy giggling in delight. The boy set about hugging on his pet and for a moment forgot all about the game since it seemed that his answer was the winning on in Rae's mind.

Eira starred at her brother for a moment before a bit of a smile appeared on her lips, pleased to see that despite the fact that it wasn't a rough and tumble boy's game that it was alright with him. She watched him as he rolled around with Ray for a moment before she looked over at Natsu and mouthed the words 'thank you' to him. It was something that Makani would miss due to his lack of sight. The last thing that Eira wanted was for him to think she was being overly nice or anything. Instead she would just leave it as Natsu's kindness in figuring out the right sort of game. Makani, being a Youngling, was pretty much amused by anything it seemed, so even a word game worked.

After a moment she seemed to recall that she needed to have her turn as well and said, "Oh, right. I would said... probably a Raoti skin rug. They are fluffy, soft, and nice to sleep on." She told Natsu, wondering if the Wind Tribesman had ever run across one of them before.
