Makani was heading out the front door to the inn, whistling as he went, in a rather good mood at the moment. Sure, he had to get to work, but even the long and difficult process that was purifying water wouldn't changed his mood. Heading around the inn he went to where the barrels were waiting for him, having been carried out for him earlier by Gyuri. He reached out, tapping his hand against each of the barrels, listening the sounds they gave out. All three were completely tapped out meaning there was just one more inside with an unknown amount of water within it. He would need to bring them back as quickly as he could.

"Alright! Let's see about getting going." He said to the two beasts flanking him. On one side was Rae, his raptrix, and on the other was Coil, his sailscale. He gave each of them a pat on the head before Makani set to casting a simple earth spell. The ground pushed up under the barrels then started to slide forward, carrying the forward toward the river. He followed along after them, with his two beasts following along after him.

Next to him Rae gave a little 'wuff' sound, drawing his attention for a moment, before he nodded, "Yes, yes, I know. It's alright, Rae." He said, reassuring her. He could fell it behind him, the various energies that belonged to his nephew and the twins. There was no reason for him to worry about them, so long as they didn't try to sabotage the water... not that he thought that little kids would do something like that. Especially Li since he was heir to the inn and wouldn't do anything to put the inn at risk.

Hulis leaned around the other side of the doorway as he watched the elder walk along doing their tasks. His small eyes wide as he watched the magic. He looked to his best friend and sister. "I wanna see what he can do. I've never seen magic before. Mommy said that there was magic in our blood..."

He looked back to the elder's back as they walked ahead of them. There was something in his blood that was just yearning for more to see. Perhaps he could learn a thing or two from the elder. Who knew?

Makani came to a stop next to the flowing river, allowing the barrels to settle down next to him, and he reached a hand out to pet the raptrix on the head as she came to stand alongside of him, "It's alright, Rae. If they come this far then I will chat with them, see what they are up to." So long as they didn't get too close to the water or else he was going to have to do something about it. Not that he was too worried when it came to stopping the trio or keeping the out of the water, that should be easy enough. Here was to hoping they wouldn't try.

"Alright, let's get to it then." He said turning toward the sound of the river, making a few motions with his hands, drawing water up and out of the river in a stream. Once that was going he set to summoning up fire so that he could twine the stream of water with the ring of fire, using it to get the water to boiling, and fro there the boiling water started to flow toward the barrels. The slow going process of purifying water had begun.

Hulis bounced as he held his best friend's hand. He went wide eyed at the magic that he saw unfolding before him as they got closer. "Wow..." he breathed. The child shrank to huddle close to Li's side as he watched the two beasts flanking Makani. He always liked the raptrix...

Makani gave a little pause as he heard and sensed the trio and their snaptrotter companion getting closer to where he stood. He gave a little smile, his hands continuing their motions, keeping the magic flowing. It wasn't as though this was the first time he'd had an audience to his magic... not to mention he had too much water to fetch to allow himself a moment of slacking off. He could do that later, after the water had been delivered.

"How are the lot of you doing? Having fun?" He asked of the three younglings and the snaptrotter that was with them. As he did so Rae pushed up on her feet, padding over toward where the younglings were gathered, tail wagging behind her, tongue lolling out. It was obvious that she was looking for attention from the lot of them. A short time after she walked over to them Coil moved to do the same, shuffling over, tongue flicking out at the lot of them, giving a little hiss as he tasted the air around them.

The sounds had Makani chuckling, "You two be nice, and be careful not to knock anyone over in your search of attention." He knew that both Rae and Coil were capable of it and he didn't want anyone getting bumped into because they weren't careful.

The child smiled brightly up at the older male. He felt it deep in his bones and blood, he must of had magic. Though he was sorta nervous to try and find that out. The child giggled as he petted Coil before snuggling the small beast. He let Coil run off to the other two, standing he looked up to Rae. The raptrix always impressed him whenever he saw her...he slowly reached up and gently stroked her. "Hi, beautiful..."

He glanced over to his sister. Did she have the same talent hidden in her? Maybe?

Makani gave a smile, "I am doing the usual. The busier the inn gets the more often pure water is needed. So here I am." He explained the trio of younglings, making a couple of motions with his hands to keep the flow of water and the flames going, not wanting to slow down. At least until there was mention of Uli having an interest in magic, something that caused his own magic to pause for a moment, everything floating for a time in midair before it all starting to move around once more.

"We can always see if you have magical aptitude if you like, young Uli." He said as he made a few more motions with his hands, "Once the water barrels are filled up we can check if you like? Do you know what sort of magic you might be interested in? Elemental or healing?"

As he spoke Rae and Coil seemed to be quite happy to get what attention that they could from the younglings, both of their tails wagging rapidly behind them. At the compliments she got from Uli the big Raptrix set to licking the boy's face in an affectionate manner, seeming to be pleased with the compliments she was getting.

Uli nodded excitedly to his sister. She always knew what he was thinking. "Mhm!"

Uli seemed a bit unsure. It could be heard in the way his small voice quivered a bit. "U-uhm...maybe a little of both? I wasn't too sure...I guess whichever I took to fastest?" he shrugged. "Mommy said we have a grandma who's a mystic. She's rather powerful too, from how Mommy talks."

He chuckled at the Raptrix, petting her before he walked closer to Li. "I'm not too sure where I could end up when I finish training though." he looked up to the elder magic user. "I'm open to ideas."
