Rumors are spreading of a traveler who has entered the area. Apparently, this traveler has a strange item they claim comes from a different time. It's hard to believe what people are saying, and the only way to really know what is going on is if you see it with your own eyes. So, you make it a point to travel to where the traveler was last sighted, and as you approach you notice a crowd. The traveler is holding up an object, high above their head, and shouting across the crowd. Some approach to get a closer look, some appear fearful, but everyone can agree...this is something no one has ever seen before.
What exactly is the traveler showing off? Roll 1d6 to determine what strange item has been found using the guide below:
Rolled 1-2
The traveler pulls out a strange piece of metal, warped a bit on the edges and covered with an unknown language. It looked similar to what you've read, and you think you can make out words, but overall it doesn't make much sense.
Make sure to respond with your reaction to these items. What do you think they could be?

Stepping outside into the cool air of Zena he wrapped himself in his big scarf before walking forward toward the noise that was gathering nearby. He'd heard that there was some sort of mysterious traveler going around, showing off some sort of strange wreckage that he'd found. Apparently it was supposed to be something special and Makani had to admit that he was a bit curious about it all. Surely it had to be something grand if the traveler was able to get a whole crowd of people gathered around him, right? As such it just made him want that much more to go and see what was going on... so to speak.
Walking over to the where the crowd was gathered he stood at the edge of the group, listening in on what was being said. He had to admit that the story the man was telling was a rather interesting one. The stuff that he found was from a 'different age' and it was something special that nobody had seen before! Something that Makani supposed that he could agree with at least on his own part. A thought that crossed his mind and caused a bit of a smile to appear on his lips. Starting forward again he allowed his magic to swirl about him, using his magic to dodge around the people to get a bit closer to the traveler. While hearing about the object that he carried was fun it wasn't the same as actually getting to 'see' it himself.
As he got closer to the man, within talking distance, Makani asked of the traveler, "Do you think I'd be able to hold the mysterious object that you brought with you so I can inspect it?" As he asked he held his hands out in a hopeful manner. He knew he was acting a bit like a kid but he just wanted to see what it was that the man had found, to see if he could tell what the object was made of, to see if it was as rare as he said it was.
The man turned away from the one he was chatting with, glancing toward Makani and his outstretched hands, before he said coolly, "You can see with your eyes, not your hands, sir. It's far too rare for me to just hand off to anyone!"
Makani gave a bit of a laugh as he lowered his hands to his sides and said, "Well, you'd think so wouldn't you." He gave a bit of a laugh as it seemed to go quiet around him for a long moment, with a couple people then whispering behind their hands as they realized what Makani had just said... then recalled what the man had said to him. There were some grumbles from around them and Makani couldn't help but too be amused by how quickly the crowd went from fawning over the traveler to booing at him for 'picking on a blind man'.
Giving a chuckle Makani said, "It's alright, he meant no harm and didn't know what he was saying." He wouldn't want the crowd to string the poor man up for a mistake as simple as the one he'd made. Not as though he'd be the first one to make such a mistake when it came to Makani. In fact that was something that he prided himself on, that few people seemed to realize that he wasn't able to see them.
As though to make up for the fact that he'd made such a mistake, and to get the crowd back on his reached out, taking Makani's hand in his, and handed over the chunk of metal that he held to him. The sage gave a smile before he started to inspect it with his hands, his fingers tracing over the engravings that seemed to be etched into the metal, "Interesting... I wonder what this might have said at one point." He mused, not recognizing any of it. He knew at least the feel of other letters, having inspected etchings before, but these ones were different. It was a curious thing and he could see why everyone was so excited by the piece the traveler was showing off. Handing it back Makani said, "Thank you for letting me check it out."
Taking the piece back the man said, "Yeah... sorry about what I said." His voice was a bit of a mutter and Makani could guess that he probably appeared to be embarrassed if his tone told him anything.
It was something that made the Sage chuckle again as he said, "No harm done. Let me get out of your way so that you can keep telling everyone else about the piece." With that Makani withdrew, allowing others to take his place, and soon the traveler was talking again. He waited nearby, listening in to see what further details he could learn before heading back from where he'd come from.
