Thorn was out scouting for future homes, he couldn't help himself he was so excited. And there was no harm in looking right? He wanted to make sure that where ever it was it would suit both himself and his Ime, this was going to be a little complicated since he was so tall and she was so adorable. Something cozy but tall? Maybe with a water feature..and a garden..he liked gardens..hmm. He found himself pondering such things right beside an Inn. Well he was hungry he might as well go in, maybe see if there were evil people staying there he could rob..and if not then they could go in peace maybe someone would have housing ideas, he thought better on a full stomach anyway. Thorn walked in and selected a table.

Makani was sitting at the bar in the common room of the inn when there was a chiming sound that said someone was coming inside out of the cooling weather. He tilted his head, listening to the sound of footsteps, then nodded, "Only one this time." He murmured to himself, wondering if he aught to help Gyuri out with the greeting of the man if only because Gyuri wasn't the most talkative of people. He thought about it, then shook his head, certain that the big man would be alright by himself... and if it seemed as though he was going to need anything Makani would step in. Since it was pretty routine by now though he didn't think that their guest would cause any trouble or so he hoped for the visitor's sake. The last thing he wanted was someone upsetting Gyuri or worse, Eira. Turning his attention back to the stage the mage listened to the sound of his older sister dancing, a rhythmic sound for him that eluded to the flashy dance that had the others that were staying at the inn entertained. The place seemed to get good business since it was located between towns, a midway point travelers were able to stop in at to rest up. ***** Pushing to his feet from the seat next to Makani where he was able to keep an eye on the entire common room at the sound of the ding Gyuri walked over toward where the new comer, a member of the Leaf Tribe from the looks of him, was sitting. He came to stand next to him, starring down at the brunette with his mismatched eyes before he held out a weapon, "Weapons, please." He said simply, waiting for the weapons to be handed over to him. No weapons were allowed in the inn and were Yithiron to look around he'd see that nobody was armed, all the weapons sitting behind the bar at the moment on various racks and shelves.
"You can have it back when you leave." He added, figuring he aught to explain that he wasn't just going to be keeping any weapons that the guy might have with him. He'd get them back, at least when he was ready to leave the inn and head back into the world once more.

As Thorn was from a somewhat unique background he didn't even falter when asked for weapons, he just scooped his knife out and placed it in Gyuri's hand, like he had done it a million times. Looking up at the man himself he smiled. "You know its hard to find someone as large as I am nowadays but I think your close." He stood. "You have no idea how cool it is to look someone in the eye, my name is Thorn." he held out a hand, then he sat down again in case he had been sending the wrong physical signals, sometimes people didn't like eye contact all that much, he didn't know why. Hmm eyes of two colors now that was cool. "I don't suppose you have any news on realastate here?" He asked hopefully. "I'm just looking right now but its nice to get a feel for the place you know.."

Gyuri closed his hand around the hilt of the knife, giving it a once over. A simple enough weapon, smaller then what some people carried around, but it made this a whole lot easier to carry this one over to the shelf. He found himself unable to walk away though as the guy started to chat him up, causing him to turn to look at him once more. The man commented on his size before getting to his feet, proving that they were in fact of similar height. Well now, this was actually interesting. Save for the Alkidike he didn't often see people his height or taller. As the man introduced himself as 'Thorn' he gave a little nod, "Gyuri." He introduced himself, used to how friendly people could be in a place like this since it was meant to be comfortable and welcoming.
Of course as the other continued to talk though he found himself standing there, mind whirling. The man was rather talkative, wasn't he? Asking a whole bunch of questions of Gyuri, something that soon drew Makani over which had him all but sighing in relief. He wasn't all that talkative so when faced with so many questions he didn't exactly know what to do or say.***** From Makani's perspective he could tell from Gyuri's energy that he was in need of a rescue. The man never was the chatty sort, instead good at being the muscle or intimidating others, but chatting wasn't his forte, "The surrounding land around the inn and the out buildings, and out to the river, belongs to my sister, and the mistress of this place, Eira." Makani pipped up as he pushed up to his feet, walking over to where Gyuri and Thorn were located, giving him a smile, his fox eyes never opening, "She's the best one to talk to when it comes to the surrounding area, where the borders are located, and what else is up for grabs." Giving a smile he said, "If you're planning to stay for a while I am sure that you might be able to meet with her. For the time being though she is a bit busy." He lifted a hand, motioning to where Eira was presently. He gave him a smile and added, "My name is Makani by the way."

"Hello Makani," Thorn said looking at the woman aforementioned. "Thank you both for your help, It's a really exciting point in my life, we may drift here and there but it would be nice to have a place or two that is home you know?" Makani's hair and skin combo made him quite striking, it looked as though he was blind, but the affliction didn't seem to slow him down. Thorn liked him immediately... good there was no one he would have to steal from if these two were anything to go by, the Inn was well made and well run, Thorn approved. "Your sister has done a wonderful job, I am very impressed." Makani's partner seemed to be pretty quiet, and here Thorn was hoping for a long talk with someone his own size but oh well Makani was just as interesting, he thought Ime would have liked him. He gave off kind of the same sweet vibe that Ime did.

As the man spoke of how it was nice to have a place that was home he gave a nod of his head, "Agreed." They had done more then enough traveling in the past, and having a place to settle down had done a lot for the group. Not to mention it felt a lot easier to protect everyone when they were all gathered in once place like this instead of always on the move. Giving a little nod of his head he moved off to put the confiscated knife away, leaving Makani with their new guest for the time being, knowing that the mage was far better at the meet and greets then him.
Walking around the bar he looked for an empty space on the shelf, placing the knife upon it when he found one. The number of weapons on the shelves and racks tended to speak of how busy the place was, and it was fairly busy today. It was likely due to the fact that the weather had been cooling off. More people were willing to pay for a room instead of camping out making the inn that much more popular of late, something that kept everyone quite busy. After the knife was placed, and after he'd given the place a once over to make sure that nothing was amiss that he would need to deal with, he returned to where Makani was chatting with Thorn.***** Makani tilted his head slightly, listening to the sound of Gyuri's footsteps as they moved off, as well as following the big man's energy, before his attention went back to their new guest, "Please don't mind Gyuri, it's nothing personal, he rarely says more then a handful of words at a time to anyone save for one of the musician's that is a part of the troupe." He said once Gyuri was out of ear shot. Anyone that visited often grew accustom to Gyuri's mannerisms, though Makani felt it best to fill Thorn in since he was a new comer. "Heh, I am sure that she would be happy to hear you say that, she is quite proud of this place, as well as the troupe itself that she's gathered together. A bit different from what we were starting out, back when we were a traveling troupe, but I think I might like this better myself. If I might ask, how did you find the place? Word of mouth? Or did you just stumble across it?" He was ever curious what brought people here, so he couldn't help but to ask.

"I just stumbled, it was just suddenly there in front of me so I decided to come in and take a look around, and I'm not worried about him." He gestured after Gyuri's retreating back, "Some people are just quieter that's all, nothing really abnormal there." "But I'm glad I came in, this seems like a great place for socializing, rather busy isn't it?" Kind of a steady bustle going on that just gave Thorn a feeling of well being. "I kinda like it, its cozier but just as busy as a good market. Not to mention the extra safety measures which have their own comfort." He watched the big man amble about, "Who is all in the troupe? Anyone I might know?" It was a long shot but well he might know someone right? It was always good to ask to learn who was around.

Makani gave a soft laugh, "Gotcha. Well, regardless of how you found us I am glad that you did. The more the merrier after all when it comes to hanging out in a place like this." The place was one meant for relaxing and entertainment after all. At the comment about the place being rather busy he nodded, "That is the best part of it, a lot of people coming through to make chat with. One can learn a lot about what is going on in the world from the passersby." "Let's see, my sister Eira is the main driving force." He motioned to her, "Our first musician, Borra, his sister Sin'qua, Gyuri, and myself are the other found members. From there were have taken in others who showed interesting. We even took in a few temporary members who just wanted to learn from the group before they went back to their own troupes. Aprentices like that are pretty interesting, one we had like that was named Falwyn. He's an interesting young man for certain." He wasn't sure if Thorn knew any of the names, but one never knew. He could have run into one of them in the past. Making a motion toward where he sensed Gyuri he said, "Come, sit with us. I am sure you're allowed a moment to relax." He looked to Thorn, "He's quite serious about his work as you can see." ***** Gyuri came to sit down with the pair, though his mismatched eyes continued to sweep over the crowd, just to make sure that things were going smoothly. The last thing he wanted to do was throw anyone out bodily but it happened from time to time. Once he was sure that everything was going well he turned back to the conversation at hand, listening to what the pair were saying. Lifting a hand he waved it and said, "I'm the muscle despite Eira's attempts." He'd had a few dancing lessons, something that was as awkward as it was embarrassing. The only reason he was a part of them was because Borra wanted him to dance and he was unable to deny him anything.

"I'm light enough on my feet but I grew so fast that my coordination took a while to recallibrate and I don't think I've ever tried real dance just what I sort of made up when I was alone for too long." Which could hardly be called dancing in the wake of the talent here. "My mum can dance but well she does the girl themed stuff, Dad just likes to watch." He could weave around people and pickpockets but that was about his extent of grace at the moment. He no longer was all that fond of climbing trees, cause if he fell he would land hard and painfully. "I wonder if Ime likes to dance, perhaps I should learn? Girls like that stuff right?"

"Really? That sounds as though it would be an interesting sort of dance." He'd love to know what Eira thought about such a thing. She's likely drag him off for lessons or something, to keep him from looking too awkward with his dancing... then she might end up trying to recruit him if he showed any promise. Makani debated for a moment warning him, but decided against it. He'd let Thorn figure it out himself and decide on his own as well if he wanted to stick around for dance lessons and if he wanted to join the troupe. Hiring people on was Eira's job after all. Giving a bit of a chuckle at the man's question Makani said, "Some do, some don't, it kind of depends on the girl. I can think of at least one that would probably rather take on a herd of Mammu then be caught dancing." Turning toward where Gyuri was sitting the fox eyed man said, "Can you imagine what Sin'qua might say or do if Eira tried to get her to dance?" Something that made Makani laugh a bit. He was allowed because he was the one that Sin'qua was least likely to punch for it. ***** "Eira might teach you if you ask." Gyuri said, knowing that Eira enjoyed teaching others. She often times tried to do so for all of those who in the troupe if they were interested and sometimes even if they weren't.
Gyuri's mismatched eyes went a bit wide at the comment that Makani made about Sin'qua and dancing. What would she do? Likely go on a rampage? It might depend though, she did have a thing for Makani so he might be able to get away with it. After giving a look around, to make sure that she wasn't around at the moment, and upon not spotting her he relaxed a bit.

"I think I will when she gets a moment, it will be a good skill to learn I think even if Ime is so tiny and adorable and I'm so not, doing something like that together would be a lot of fun to my line of thinking. Anything I get to do with her is fun." Thorn got a rather dreamy look on his face, oh yes he had it bad, it was obvious, but why fight it when he liked that idea so much. His little hybrid a gem among stone. Not that stone wasn't good for things either but well she was special. "I know she is the one, I would do anything for her. I'm not sure if you have the same but once you have the feeling you know you just know." He said emphatically and ordered some ale.

Makani couldn't help but to smile at Thorn's words, finding them to be rather cute. It seemed that whoever his girl was she was someone that he treasured, one could hear it in the man's voice as he talked about her. It was something to be a little envious of for certain he thought to himself as he leaned back in his seat. As the man commented on how she was 'the one' and that he'd do anything for her Makani chuckle, "That sounds very romantic." The situations that Makani and Gyuri found themselves were quite different from that of Thorn, weren't they? Giving a soft laugh he said, "Gyuri, we really could learn something from Thorn here." They really should do better themselves and Thorn seemed to be the sort of person to emulate given how happy he sounded when he spoke of his woman. ***** Giving a little nod of his head at Makani's comment Gyuri said simple, "We could." It did sound rather nice, not only knowing a person was 'the one' but willing to do anything for them. Gyuri felt the same but always had trouble speaking up, never sure what to say or how to say it. He wanted to make Borra happy but it was one of those things that he was never that certain about.
Giving a thoughtful sound Gyuri's mind seemed to whirl before he found himself asking, "Got any advice?" Maybe, since he had found 'the one' Thorn could give them some advice? Gyuri knew that he'd appreciate any help offered.

Thorn preened a little, "Well I am very romantic." He said with real pride. "I think the biggest thing is showing the other that you care about them without complete servitude, be and equal but put them first where it matters." He tapped his chin wondering how to explain it. "Share yourself with them but keep enough of your own soul to remain your own person. I showed her one of my secret hiding places in Tale that seemed to work well. I also survived her mother by simply telling the truth about my intentions. She supported me when I was injured more than once, in fact that is how we met, she healed a penetrating wound in my side. Her hands were so tiny and gentle." "But every relationship according to my father is different."

Makani gave a bit of a chuckle when Thorn declared himself to be 'very romantic' which was something that normally one might be a little embarrassed over. This man didn't seem to be though, instead seeming to own the title of 'very romantic' proudly. He also seemed as though he didn't mind giving advice as Gyuri had suggested which had Makani leaning forward slightly, listening in to what Thorn had to say.
He did offer up some interesting advice as well, giving Makani much to think about... though he had to wonder what he might have to offer someone like Sinny. She was quite confident and at time very tactless, but it was something that tended to amuse him more then anything else. It was something that he would need to think about he thought to himself. He gave a bit of a smile as the man spoke of his first meeting with his girl, finding he liked the manner which his voice changed as he spoke of her compared to when he spoke of other things. It was cute.
"Yes, all relationships are different. It's what makes things interesting." It wouldn't be any fun if all things happened in a similar manner, though he had to wonder if it might make understanding people a little easier.

Gyuri too seemed to be wrapped up in what Thorn was saying, listening closely, taking everything to heart. He wanted to win Borra over after all, to let him know exactly how much he meant to him, even if he wasn't one that spoke up a lot. Talking had never been his strong suit but it hadn't driven Borra off yet, nor did it seem to bother him. A relief to be certain since the big man would be lost were he to lose Borra to anyone else. Meaning he really should do more for him.
Share more of himself Thorn had suggested, making him want nothing more then to seek him out straight away... not that he'd run off straight away though, not when they were still in mid-conversation with Thorn. He didn't want to appear as rude to a guest of the inn after all.
Sitting back he gave a smile before he said, "Thank you." The advice was welcome and something Gyuri would make certain make use of.
