Well, here she was she thought to herself, walking alongside her brother who seemed to be growing up way to fast in her opinion. She glanced over at him, giving him a once over, then looked to the big, feathery beast that his once adorable puppy had become. Yeah, both were growing too fast she thought to herself before she said, "So, I was thinking about it, and I think that there might very well be a place for you in my troupe if you are interested." She said casually, as though she hadn't brought him out on this walk for this one specific thing. Naw, this was something she'd been thinking about for a while now, but she knew she would need to approach her brother about it when their father wasn't around, certain that he wouldn't be pleased with the idea of not one but both of his children going off at the same time. It was something that Eira wanted though, to start this troupe, and she meant to make it successful, more so even then Lyriala's troupe one day. At least that was her goal.

"I think that if we trained her properly that you would be quite a hit." She added, wondering if that would be a good way to draw Makani's attention and interest. It was hard to say, he was one that seemed at times rather hard to read. He very well might not want to come along, maybe he would want to stay here? Maybe if she mentioned those that were already going, maybe he would be drawn in? Much to her surprise though he didn't even seem to hesitate instead instantly asking her some questions about the offer, something that had the woman perking up in a happy manner, hands clapping together, ready to answer any questions that he might have.

To say that Makani was surprised by his sister inviting him to be a part of her troupe would be an understatement. All this time he was almost certain that she would be only too happy to pack up her things and leave him, glad to be rid of him. It would seem that he was wrong... but then again he supposed that she had started to mellow out a bit of late about some things, right? She had to that snowball fight with him after all, even seemed to enjoy herself while throwing snow at people, so maybe she was maturing in preparation for the journey that she had ahead of herself? That was what he felt at least about the whole thing.

She continued on, saying that he would be 'quite a hit' if he was trained properly, something that had him flushing a bit. The question was, did he really want to go? What if he left with her only to miss when Lusala next came by? He didn't want to miss him but what if instead her troupe met up with Lusala and his father while they were on the road? It was a risk either way he felt but maybe going with her would be a good thing, he might get to see more of the world this way, so to speak, "Would you be going to Sauti with the group? It's been a while since I have see my mother's people, I'd like to visit them. I want to go to Mez too, can we go there? What about to where Natsu is from?" He asked, wondering if maybe this would be a good way to reconnect with people that he had met in the past. He could visit with all of them when they weren't doing shows, right? Maybe they could come watch? That might be fun.

"I want to go to those places and I think it'd be more likely that I got to go to them if you were there, Eira. I doubt our Papa would let me go alone." He wanted to do more then just wait in Zena, maybe if he took the initiative he would find Lusala, "I also want to try to keep an eye out for the merchant caravan my friend is on, maybe we will cross paths with them, that would be nice too."

As usual, Viveka was completely oblivious to the presence of other people in his area, and was having his typical fidget fit as he raced his way up the hill. His father wanted him to travel to his grandfather's house with some sort of parcel, seeing as Rastian had somehow dropped off the face of Tendaji, a fact that was already sending piercing waves of fear through the young rogue's body. He hated traveling out to his grandfather's, it was a long, blizzard prone path that could lead him to someone he was terrified of, an ice tribesman who he was convinced wanted to kill him that one terrible night. But, it was approaching his grandfather's birthday and his father couldn't be bothered to carry the parcel himself, it wasn't like he was a traveling archer or something, right?

"Please don't be there... Please don't be there..." He chanted, shuffling along in an odd fashion. He hadn't even left for his grandfather's home and he was already praying to Bergchi that he wouldn't be found by that scary guy he had met. He reached the top of the hill and turned to walk the remaining mile towards his father's home, before his cloak got caught in the snow, causing him to fall over onto his knees. "Oh, come ON!" He shrieked. Today was really starting to suck!

Eira looked over at him for a moment then gave a smile, pleased to hear what he was saying, doing her best to keep from jumping up and down in delight, "Well, I am sure that we would be going to Sauti, yes. There is no reason for us not to. I mean it's got as many people there that would want to see our show as anywhere." While she much preferred Zena herself she felt that if she were to just stick around here she wouldn't make much of a name for herself or her group. No, she was going to have to do more, would have to branch out, and that meant all of the other lands that would allow them.

Giving a little sigh she then said, "You have to remember that this isn't just a field trip so that you can meet up with all of your friends, Makani, you need to take it seriously since it will be your job." She told her brother, not wanting him to think that it was going to be all fun and games. If she had to work hard then so did her brother after all, "Now, first I think that we should..." Her words trailed off as she happened to look over just in time to see someone fall over. For a moment she started to laugh, taking in all of the long hair and thought it was another girl. She knew it was a little petty of her but the idea of seeing another girl face plant into the snow was something that amused Eira greatly. A moment later though she seemed realize that it wasn't a girl, it was a guy. One with that much hair? Interesting.

"Looks like some pretty boy just took a dive, maybe we should go check on him." Eira said, not one to be helpful unless it was with a guy. One of those things she knew full well that she would need to get over since she would need other women in her troupe... that or she could put Sin'qua in charge of that task. Taking her brother's hand in hers she led him over to where the pretty boy had fallen, starring down at him for a moment before asking, "Are you alright there, cutie?"

Makani gave a little nod of his head, "I know, I know." He would need to work hard at this job just like he did at the other things he wanted to do, it was something he realized. Still, if they happened by where his friends were at then surely he would be able to visit with them during his down time, right? He found himself wondering if maybe during the trips he'd be able to find himself someone to help him out as far as magic went as well. He'd gotten a bit distracted with that snowball fight the other day but now he was back to trying to focus once more on more important things. Now he had a few things to really focus on, not only just trying to figure out if he had the inclination for magic but now if he would be able to be a part of his sister's troupe.

He opened his mouth to ask her what it was that she was going to say, having starting with 'first she thought' before she trailed off into laughter. What in the world...? His face was awash in confusion until she explained, saying someone had taken a dive and that they should check on him. Him? Well, he supposed that made sense. His sister did get a bit distracted by guys at times, making him wonder if she was going to hire on a lot of hot guys to her troupe merely because they were attractive. A thought he kept to himself of course.

Soon enough he was being led over to the one that his sister was so concerned over and he couldn't help but to wonder why. A big part of him wanted to reach out and touch the guy, to get a feeling for what it was that he might look like, but decided it was best that he wait and see if he was alright before he got all hands on with him. Not to mention he should probably see what sort of person he was, best not to try to touch the wrong sort and get himself punched after all.

Viveka's head turned quickly towards Eira and Makani, his face flushing red. Oh, goodness, he hadn't seen them walking along! They probably thought he looked like an idiot! Augh, what to do, what to say? He scrambled for the bit of cloak that had gotten snagged, dusted it off, and moved to stand. Be cool, be cool...

"I'm fine, I'm fine, no need to fuss!" He exclaimed, chuckling nervously. "I was just hurrying along to my father's house, in Zidel. He needs me to deliver something to Secer, and my elder brother is nowhere to be found! He would have done this no problem, but, because he's not here, I'm expected to do everything!"

Again, he let out a laugh, which was laced with an underlying agony, before he bowed his head in a defeated sort of fashion.

"You wouldn't have happened to see a satchel clad Healer rushing around here?" He asked. "He's been missing for a few weeks now and I'm starting to think he's run away or been captured."

Eira starred at the rather chatty young man as he surged to his feet, listening as he went on about how he was fine, there was no need to fuss, and then a rather detailed story about what he was doing. Hurrying on to his father's house, huh? Had something to deliver, and so on and so forth. He was a rather talkative one, wasn't he? Seemed as though he wasn't the sort to keep a secret, which was actually something interesting as far as Eira was concerned. It meant that she would be able to learn more about the interesting young man if the need for information arose, though for the moment he seemed as though he were done chatting.

She watched as he seemed to deflate a little, head bowed, and she reached out to pat him on the top of the head in a soothing manner before she gave him her best smile, "It seems as though you are having quite the day, huh?" He must have it rough if the look about him was any indication.

As he started to speak once more Eira took note of what he was going on about, a missing Healer, huh? She gave a half shrug before she said, "I can't say I have seen him, but if you give me some more details I can always keep an eye out for him while I am out and about recruiting." She offered, hoping that said healer was as handsome as this one was pretty. If so then it would be more then worth her time to look out for him.

Makani was listening in as well as the other man spilled his guts to Eira, wondering what it was that the man was going to be delivering, but figured that it probably wasn't any of his business, huh? Still, it must be something important if the guy was in such a desperate rush to see it done. He shifted in place for a moment before he crossed his arms over his chest, listening as his sister sooth the guy as one might a wild animal, something that almost made him laugh. It was a sound he kept to himself though, not wanting to insult anyone. Instead he merely continued to listen in, to see if he heard anything interesting enough to really comment on.

One such thing being when the guy asked if they had seen a Healer rushing around, something he shook his head over before he said, "I can't say that I have seen him, sorry." His lips turned up into a smile as he spoke, unable to resist. He knew it was a silly joke but for some reason it was one that would just never get old. Something about people asking a blind man if he'd seen one thing or another to him was humorous. Not as though anyone really ever seemed to notice though, something he was actually rather pleased over.

"Captured, huh? Can you think of anyone in the area that would capture him?" He asked, wondering if someone so dangerous was really in the area. It was a strange thought for certain but he'd like to believe that such a thing wasn't possible, not wanting a kidnapper sort to be in the area. Still, if there was such a person about best that they found out about it so that they could better look after themselves and each other. He'd want to keep an eye on his sister that much more closely, so to speak, wanting to keep her safe. She was too headstrong and eager to rush into things, best that he try to counter that by not letting her get in over her head.

"Oh, yes, quite!" Viveka heaved, rubbing the side of his head. His day couldn't get any better than this. Delivering something to Secer, a place close to where he had been with that scary man, not something he was inclined to do. Still, the package was for his grandfather, and someone had to take it to him, and if it wasn't Rastian or his father, then it absolutely had to be him.

As he was questioned to describe Rastian in better detail, he paused. What had he been wearing the last time that he saw him? A cloak, that same orange and brown get up, satchels and bags... He pursed his lips and took a breath.
"He has long, purple hair, which he often ties up in a pony tail." He began. "And he often wears an olive colored cloak, an orange shirt, brown pants, and tons of satchels all around his waist, hips, and strung across his chest. His name is Rastian, he's my older half-brother."

Then, he paused, peering fearfully at Makani. Uh, no, he didn't know if his brother had any enemies, but it seemed unlikely that he would just vanish for weeks without writing a letter or two home to update on his progress home. That wasn't like his brother at all.

"No, not anyone concrete." He replied. "But, he is a trader, a well traveled one at that. I'm worried that someone might have ambushed him for his supplies, or worse, harmed him while dealing. He hasn't been gone this long before, and while I could just be paranoid, every bad scenario has been going through my mind."

Then, his attention turned towards Eira, his eyebrow raised.
"Wait, did you say you were recruiting?" He asked. "What or whom are you recruiting?"
PostPosted: Sun Jan 26, 2014 9:34 am

Eira listened closely to the description given, then finally gave a little shake of her head, "I can't say that I have seen him but he sounds like an interesting sort. Purple hair you say? That's like nothing I have ever seen before." It had an interesting sound to it, making her want to see this person all that much more. Not to mention that he felt that it might actually be rather easy to pick him out of a crowd if he had hair of such a color, "I will be sure to keep my eyes peeled if only because I want to see someone with such interestingly colored hair as that. If I do happen to spot him I will be sure to let him know that you are looking for him Mister...?" She trailed off, leaving it open for him to gve his name so that she could take note of it just in case.

"A trader, huh? Those sorts can be pretty hard to keep track of." She mused to herself when that information was introduced, giving her brother a momentary glance. He had a puppy dog crush on one of those and while she didn't approve in the least bit it gave her insight into how difficult it could be trying to track one of them. The guy that Makani visited with vanished after their initial meeting but still her brother held up hope that he would be returning at some point. If he did though Eira might just be tempted to strange him. Pushing such dark thoughts aside she said, "Perhaps he got caught up somewhere? The weather in Zena especially can be rough at times, I am sure he will return to you in no time." Or so she hoped, she much rather a happy ending to a missing person case then to think about what might really have happened. As dangerous as the world could be given the weather, the predators, and various other dangers she didn't want to consider the alternatives to the pretty boy's friend's fate.

When the man asked her about her recruiting she gave a bright smile and said with a flourished bow, "I am recruiting for a performance troupe I am putting together. We are a small group thus far but we have grand dreams for the future. One day our names will be known across the land." She told him, then asked, "By any chance do you have a talent that might make a pretty boy like you someone who can join is? I see people from far and wide coming just to get a look at you. Even I am almost a little jealous." Almost but not quite, Viveka was missing a couple large details that Eira had after all.

Makani had zero clue why purple hair was so interesting but then again all colors and any significance associated with them was pretty well lost on him. He did know though that some people reacted strongly to colors, something he knew too well growing up here in Zena looking as he did. It made it so he could understand that something strange about Rastian was interesting but he still didn't quite get it. If it was something so strange and rare did that mean that he was of mixed blood like Makani was? Interesting... though probably not a question that one should ask since it might very well make him sound quite rude.

When the topic changed to how Rastian was a trade her could almost feel his sister's eyes on him but he refused to comment, instead lifting a hand to play with the decorative scarf that hung around his next. He knew that Eira didn't approve of Lusala, likely didn't want him to stick around, ever, and he fear she might very well try to smother him when he returned for making Makani wait so long. Best that, if that particular merchant returned, that he didn't let Eira know about it. Turning toward where he sensed Viveka to be he said, "A friend of mine is a merchant, if he happens by any time soon I can ask him if he's seen your missing friend. Who better to ask about a trader then another trader, perhaps they have done business in the past." He offered.

He then gave a bit of a groan when his sister started to flirt with the guy they were chatting with, trying to recruit him if he had the talent for it. Taking a step closer Makani slipped off the warm glove he was wearing so that he could trace his fingers against his face, "You have me curious now sister, I need to 'see' if he is as pretty as you are making him out to be." She was fawning over him so he must be something, especially to go as far as to say that she was almost jealous of the guy. After a moment he finally nodded, "Alright, I concede, you're right as always sister."

"Thank you, knowing that I have some more eyes up here looking puts me at ease." Viveka sighed, running his hand through his hair. Rastian better show up soon, or else a search party would have to be formed, and he knew just how often those searches turned up empty handed. He leaned to the side, his posture not exactly relaxed, but he offered a smile towards Eira. "Oh, a performance troupe? That sounds exciting! My Natsu is a Bard, he'd be thrilled to know that a troupe is recruiting so close to home!"

He fiddled with the ring on his finger, admiring it lovingly for the moment, before facing Eira again "I haven't any talent, I'm just a sculptor." He said, blushing. "I suppose you could say that would be a talent but I am nowhere near as talented as my mother was, her sculptures put mine to shame..." He paused, taken aback by Makani. His face only seemed to turn redder as he was deemed as pretty as Eira made him out to be, and he stood up rather stiffly. "Ahaaahaa... Thank you? Uh... I guess I am...?"

He turned to the side, fiddling with his hair, his mind racing with ideas on how to deal with all this attention. Natsu was the only one who had ever given him such compliments, and now complete strangers were standing before him with the same words. How was he supposed to deal with that? His fingers looped his hair in spirals as he thought, before he seemed to snap back to attention, his eyes resting on Eira again.

"So, this troupe you're forming..." He began, gazing to the side and to her again. "How far do you plan to travel to find people for it? My brother's cousin from Tale is a dancer in training, I'm sure she'd be interested!"

If Eira wasn't already interested in Viveka before she would be now as he announced that 'his Natsu' was a bard and that he'd been thrilled to know that someone was recruiting. She gave a happy sound in her throat before she stepped that much closer to Viveka, "Ahhh, so you're his sculptor, huh? I met Natsu in the past and he talked rather highly about you." She said, seeing him in that much better of a light then she already had. Not only was she pleased to actually meet the guy even though it was a shame that he was yet another male who was 'like that'. She seemed to be a magnet for those sorts though making her wonder how difficult it might be when the day came that she actually wanted to get herself a mate of her own.

Luckily for her, given how many men like Natsu and Viveka she seemed to find, at least she wasn't nearly ready to settle down yet. She wouldn't need to fend of some many men 'like that' as of yet when it came to protecting her future man from their influence. That aside though she found herself plotting, perhaps if she got in good with this one, helped him out, it might make Natsu that much more likely to join her troupe? She danced, Borra played an instrument, if Natsu could sing they would be well on their way to having a solid base for the troupe. On top of that they had the giant Gyuri and, if she could talk her father into, Makani whose blindness would make any trick he did tenfold more interesting. Things really were looking up she thought to herself.

"Hm? Well, for the moment we are recruiting around here. Thus far I have a guy who can play the lute and is gonna be attempting to teach his pet raoti tricks, a giant of a man who will be security and perhaps a strong man act, a woman who... will be doing something, just need to figure that out, and then perhaps my brother here as well. Just need to figure his act too. As for recruiting outside of Zena I hope to do that soon. I am willing to go as far as I need to go to find those that will make my troupe the best." She said, perking up a bit more at the thought of getting another dancer for the troupe. One from Tale, hm? So a member of the Leaf Tribe if she remembered right, "So long as she is skillful I don't see why she can't join us... and your Natsu as well. I could really use someone like him as well, think he'd join? And of course a pretty boy like you has an invitation, I could see you drawing a crowd." She said, seeming quite pleased with this turn of events. This one was proving to be quite knowledgeable about those that would be troupe material.
PostPosted: Sun Feb 02, 2014 7:26 am

Makani tilted his head to one side, looking thoughtful before he said, "Natsu, eh? He was really nice." One that he would like to meet again for sure one day and to think that they were lucky enough to actually stumble across the very man that Natsu had been singing the praises of. It seemed as though Bergchi was smiling upon them today, wasn't she? His sister had that pleased tone in her voice as well meaning that her mood was soaring, something that he was glad for. Eira had always been easier to deal with when things went her way and as scary as a charging Mammu when things didn't. He would offer up thanks to the Goddess later he thought to himself before turning his attention to his sister, listening to her chat happily enough who and where she was recruiting.

She was really thinking on going that far? All the way to Tale? He couldn't help but to be surprised but at the same time he supposed that it made sense. She was determined when it came to this venture of hers and she wasn't going to be letting anything get in her way, least of all the distance that she may have to travel. As she listed people off that she was going to be taking with her he found himself wanting that much more to meet the giant that she spoke of, he must be something interesting if he could act as security to the group as well as do a strong man act.

Even more invitations were issued, to the dancer girl from Tale if she had the skill, to Natsu, and to Viveka though he found himself wondering what job Viveka might end up with if he joined. He was a sculptor and that wasn't exactly a troupe skill, was it? Still, a pretty face would be good for drawing attention and he supposed that he could see it working out if he were one to draw crowds to come see the troupe. That other troupe that Eira had gotten them free tickets to see had people like that, those that called attention to the troupe, to the various acts that would be on display, and the like. The prettier the person for such a job the better Makani figured, "Even if Natsu doesn't want to join he should still come visit us." Makani said, all for seeing the friendly guy again.

Viveka's face flushed further as he was approached, but instead of a nervous smile, his face held one of the most goofy grins you could have ever seen. They knew Natsu, too! This was great! Now he had a base for conversation.

"Aw, he said that?" He cooed, giggling. "He's wonderful, right? He's got the voice of an angel and a heart of gold."

He paused, briefly, as the conversation shifted back to recruiting for the troupe. Natsu would like joining, he was sure of that. Pahana was clumsy, but only if she was careless, and the last thing he heard from Rastian was that she was getting better at keeping her mind as alert as her feet. But, him, gathering crowds? He felt his knees already beginning to lock at the mere thought of standing in the middle of a room, waving towards the masses and having them follow him back to the troupe. It would be too much for him to handle! Maybe if Natsu went along with him?

"Uuuh, maybe." He stammered. "I know Natsu would be interested and, like I said, Pahana would be, but... I'm not too good with crowds. I clam up."

He turned to Makani, in an attempt to distract himself from the paralyzing idea of being stuck in the middle of a rioting crowd, and smiled broadly.

"How did you meet Natsu, by the way?" He asked. "Were you there for trade or just for a visit?"
