Mad Hatter, or Just Mr. Hat? Username: Tiger_kisa699 Name: Rache Sinclair (Rache is german for Revenge) Personality: Strange and curious. Hes artistic in various ways that most people don't consider art. He likes to explore a lot and he finds lots of things interesting that seem weird or strange to everyone else. Plot Ideas: *I think someone finding him doing his art, which usually consists of him drawing in animal blood or playing with bones he finds in the forest, and having a conversation with him about why he does art like that. *Since hes the only boy with the two girls I think if they find him weird that it would be fun to have an RP with him teasing the girls with his weird art or them making fun of him cause of his art. *I would like to plot out some stuff with him getting to know several other members of his family and to get him to know where he might get some of his weirdness from. *I think maybe some RP's where you see a soft, not so strange side all the time is good. But I am thinking he might have a little problem with talking to himself and he gets calmed when he spends a lot of time alone and talking with himself and maybe someone catches him on an off day when hes feeling calm and talkative.
RP Examples:RP1//RP2//Rp3//RP4//RP5 I have several more RP's listed in my Teepee as well
Bonus RP: [Reason for filling out: zero soquili or bonus points.] Prompt: It's the foal's first solstice ceremony, and it's time to declare its commitment to the family! The foal approaches the herd's totem with the knife it has just been given by one of its parents, and it knows what it must do: make a little cut, bleed a little blood, and become part of the herd. What thoughts run through its head? Pride? Fear? Something else entirely, perhaps? (Take care not to god mode other characters, as regular soquili RP does not allow that without permission. <3 )
Response: Rache held the small knife in his mouth and walked towards the totem and looked around at everyone there. He was calm and relaxed. He looked forward to this! He could be considered an adult now! A full part of the herd. He smiled and closed his eyes. To draw his mark on the totem and know that he was herd. To bleed a little was no problem, he liked the blood and he didn't mind if it was a little of his own or a little from something else.
He took the knife and reached over and cut a mark on his shoulder just infront of his wing and then lay the knife down as the blood ran down his shoulder. He moved his nose back and rubbed it in the blood till he had a good bit of it on the front of his nose. Pressing it to the totem he hummed softly as he drew an R on it. Rache. He was herd now. He was part of his family. He loved the idea. He loved his family. He was going to be a strong brother to his sisters. A supporting son to his parents. No matter who it was who had made him he counted all three of them as his family.
Looking around he smiled, not caring about the bit of blood that still ran down his shoulder and leg. "I will always be here for this herd. This herd is my family. I accept everyone and love everyone. I will do anything that is needed for my herd and family and there is nothing that could ever make me leave aside from death its self." he said as he flared out his wings wide and then bowed to them as he smiled. To be part of something, to be welcomed and loved so much by something as amazing as his family, he couldn't wait to get to prove himself to them.
He might be kind of artistic like his mother was, but he was strong, determined and a warrior at heart. He hid it rather well but he couldn't wait to get to show them all a side of himself that some of them didn't know very well.
--------------------- CHARACTER QUESTIONNAIRE ---------------------
Questionnaire: These answers aren't required, but we would like to see them!
Question: The Sinclair Family teaches acceptance of the kalona breed's darker impulses, but this child knows that Arcadia and Vapor both have qualms about hunting. How does the foal feel about hunting? Does it feel the need to hunt, or is its blood diluted enough that it can subsist on greens alone? Answer: Rache likes to hunt for others, he doesn't always feel the need to eat the meat, but he has a think for blood. He likes the looks of it, the way it feels when he paints with it and the way it feels on his coat. He eats a small amount of meat here or there, he enjoys fish more then any other meats but if someone in his herd requires him to eat something while he around them he will eat it. But about 90% of his diet is fruit and veggies. He enjoys the hunt only to catch things for blood for his art and gives the food to those in her herd that will eat it.
Question: How does the foal feel about art? Is it creative? Analytic? Indifferent? Answer: Oh hes very into art. He ties bones together to hang from trees in his resting area of the forest. He paints abstract things on this or that in blood when hes feeling motivated. He doesn't always do art stuff but he loves what he does do. He draws sometimes in the dirt or on paper with charcoal. He feels creative at heart but his personality is rather strong and determined.
Question: What kind of relationship do you picture the foal having with its parents and siblings? Is it attached to any one or few of them in particular? What about extended family? Answer:I see Rache having a very close relationship with both his mothers. He has nothing against his father but he just feels closer to his mothers, especially Arcadia. He wants to know more of his extended family just cause he wants to know if any of them are as strange as he is. He likes the idea of finding someone strange like him. He loves his mothers art so much that he tries to find the same qualities to make his art too but he often just goes with the feelings he has for the blood. I would like him to talk with his mother about art and those feelings often if he can.
Question: This foal has discovered, after a little observation of several families, that its own family does not have quite a "normal" dynamic. Does this upset it, make it feel special, question things? Or can such a thing be brushed off? Answer:Rache doesn't care about normal. He finds the other 'normal' dynamics to be weird and not as much fun or as interesting to him. He likes to feel different and strange like he is. He doesn't like to think that there is a thing as normal cause everyone is 'normal' to themselves. He just thinks the others are very boring compared to his wonderful family. He likes weird and not normal things. He doesn't want normal.
Question: Coming from such a complicated family can be hard and/or create bonds stronger than time. How does the foal feel about all the different idiosyncrasies in the group? Does it have any of its own? Answer: Aside from his obsession with blood he talks to himself. There is no other person he has named. Just talks to himself when hes alone. He doesn't mind being around others or alone. He just likes to be with those he finds interesting or not boring. He doesn't care what issues his family has, he loves all of them and the herd, and doesn't matter what it is, he just thinks that's what makes them fun and interesting. He is soft even if he wants to prove himself to the herd, and would love to spend time with children in the herd when hes an adult but he finds them interesting and wants to use them as ideas for his art.

Mad Hatter, or Just Mr. Hat? Username: Wasteland Wyvern Name: Rhapsody Sinclair Personality: Cert Temper: Assonant
In his youngest years Rhapsody will be a bit quieter than his siblings. More the type to watch and learn than to run and play. This is a direct result of the stigma he was born with. He suffers from achromatopsia or monochromatic color blindness. Everything in the world to him is greyscale and at times he finds himself feeling resentful or angry at his condition. This resentment is because he knows his family is colorful, beautiful, and artisticly inclined and he can have no part in it no matter how he yearns to. Now most would assume his affliction renders him incapable of being creative like the rest of his family but no Rhapsody has his own artistic ability, and that is his voice. The deep bass voice (this will develop as he ages, in his youth his voice will be lighter around a high tenor) he was blessed with, for it was obvious the spirits played havoc with his sight, is one of his treasures. Through his music he can express all things, from fear at his condition passing down to future generations to joy at watching his sisters grow. He does not sing music crafted by others though for he feels that it is not his right. Most days he can be observed moving his lips and shaking his head either yes or no. This is his odd way of crafting his songs. He will keep a mental dialogue going until he has something worth while then he will find somewhere he can be alone to sing it and see if it sounds good. He is very finicky with his music and most of his little tunes will be discarded and lost in time. Perfectionism runs in his blood when it comes to his music.
Besides his musicality, being firstborn, he has taken it upon himself to be strong for his family so he regularly spars with his father to keep his endurance up. He refuses to be a soft soquili that would run in terror at the first sight of danger. He would do anything for his family.
Plot Ideas:
I am not really good at plotting in advance but this is my best attempt.
1.) The Spirits Gift (colt): One day in his youth, Rhapsody finds himself utterly depressed due to his condition so he wanders off to a small pool of water in a clearing, little does he know that Vermillion followed him to ensure his safety, and he discovers his talent for singing by mimicking birdsong he hears. Surprised to no end by this sudden talent he will assume it is a gift from the fickle spirits and he will start sneaking away whenever he can to try it out. This will cause a little chafing with his overprotective family but maybe Vermillion could explain what she saw that day and then they would understand his want to hide it until he's ready to tell.
2.) Crafting a Song (Slightly Older Colt): This will be his first attempt at singing a song of his own creation when he thinks he is alone. Maybe one of his siblings could follow him and overhear it then choose to lovingly tease him about it like whistling the tune in front of their parents. When he finds out that his sister knows of his talent he would go to every end to ensure her silence. She could either use it to her advantage or choose to keep the secret with no need to exploit it.
3.) A Point of Contention (Teenager): Traditional art, like painting, is something impossible for Rhapsody and it will be an issue that will make him feel like he is not a part of his family but an outsider looking in. This RP would be his mother showing him that he can make art despite his affliction and that he is indeed her son.
That's all I can think of at the moment but I am sure I can come up with more later. ^_^
Bonus RP: [Reason for filling out: Bonus points.] Prompt: It's the foal's first solstice ceremony, and it's time to declare its commitment to the family! What thoughts run through its head? Pride? Fear? Something else entirely, perhaps? (Take care not to god mode other characters, as regular soquili RP does not allow that without permission. <3 )
Response: Rhapsody gulped around the knife he held firm between his teeth, it's deadly blade shining in the light. At first he wondered if he wasn't ready to give his life to this herd, until he looked at his loving parents and saw the pride and love reflected there. His mother was directly descended from this herd and she was loving and caring so this family, this herd would be the same right? He walked forward, multiple eyes trained on the totem, and wondered for a second what color it was for it was obviously made of wood. All his wings fluttered nervously, so he forced them to lay still. It would not do to show weakness. Firstly he bowed to the totem, showing it the respect he believed it due. With a quick slice of the blade on his leg he started the blood flowing, and ever so carefully he touched his bleeding wound to the totem. Slipping the knife back into its sheath so as to free his mouth he spoke the words and forever tied himself to the herd. A cheer went up, for a new member had joined, the bloodlines secured in a new generation. He smiled as he turned, eyes seeking out his family. The love reflected there rendered him speechless for a moment before he rejoined them, returning his mother's blade, careful not to touch her skin. He took his place with them, forever a Sinclair.

Answer: The need to hunt is very sharp in Rhapsody, and he does require flesh to survive as greens upset his stomach. However knowing his mother and father's feelings on the matter he chooses to take his hunting elsewhere and consciously refuses to kill sentient prey. So other Soquili, and familiars are not included in his diet. Early on he will likely scavenge for the dead, or eat fish or birds. As an adult he will hunt away from his family.
Question: How does the foal feel about art? Is it creative? Analytic? Indifferent? Answer: He is fascinated by the idea of it but fears his color blindness will stop him from creating colorful works so more often than not he resorts to singing or carving bones with a small knife.
Question: What kind of relationship do you picture the foal having with its parents and siblings? Is it attached to any one or few of them in particular? What about extended family? Answer: His immediate family, Arcadia, Vapor, Vermillion, Adoration, and Resurrection are everything to him. He does not feel the same about his extended family like the other Sinclair's. However that does not mean he will treat them badly. Quite the opposite in fact, he respects them and would give them his aid if they needed him.
Question: This foal has discovered, after a little observation of several families, that its own family does not have quite a "normal" dynamic. Does this upset it, make it feel special, question things? Or can such a thing be brushed off? Answer: Why should his families uniqueness bother him? He is very aware of their quirks and flaws and virtues but they are his world and nothing they do would upset him. I guess you could say he brushes it off, but in his eyes he and his family are special and perfect. No matter what!
Question: Coming from such a complicated family can be hard and/or create bonds stronger than time. How does the foal feel about all the different idiosyncrasies in the group? Does it have any of its own? Answer: Arcadia - He worries for her. Her condition is scary but he knows that no matter how much he loves her he cannot touch her and he accepts this. Despite everything she is his mother and she is perfect in his eyes. Vapor - His foul mouthed ways are entertaining to young Rhapsody. All the pranks he knows his father taught him and no matter how many times he uses them they are always funny. However his need to eat flesh but inability to kill is another worry for the young stallion. Often if he has food left over from his hunts he will offer it to his father, the same way Resurrection does. Veri - This side of Vermillion is somewhat scary to the younger Rhapsody but as he gets older he will often play harmless pranks on her to see her reaction but if she catches him he'll fess up. You don't lie to your family. Milli - This side of Vermillion is his favorite because he can confide his problems to her and she'll always have a kind word or some advice for him. This doesn't stop him from playing pranks on her too though! Adoration - He cares deeply for Addy (His nickname for her) and does his best to keep her comfortable, often slipping away when he thinks no one is looking and stealing blankets and shawls for her as gifts. He is very aware of her issue and tries to look after her however he can. Resurrection - He is fascinated by his smallest sister and often wonders what she experienced when she 'saw the light' but in a way he is too afraid to ask. After all should he know what lies after death? Himself - As said above Rhapsody suffers from achromatopsia color blindness and because of this he is somewhat bi-polar. He will occasionally drop into a deep melancholy when his mother or sisters are creating beautiful art and only his music draws him from the black pit of his depression. On a lighter scale he flutters his wings, all 6 of them, when nervous. He also whinnies sharply when he laughs for too long.
All in all he knows he and his family are a bunch of oddballs but he wouldn't have them any other way! The bonds of family are hard forged but always strong.
Mad Hatter, or Just Mr. Hat? Username: Kaya Wolf Moon Name: Atonement Sinclair Personality: Atonement is a very loving and caring Soquili. He admires his family above all others and will do anything to protect them. Of course, being the middle foal, his family tends to overlook him sometimes. His sisters can be a bit of nuisance, but that does not stop him from watching over them.
Like most of his family, Atonement has a uniqueness about him. His tri-wings and multiple eyes set him apart from other Soquili, but there is more to him than that. Atonement was aptly named by his parents, you see. He typically spends his days making up for any wrong that his siblings might have done. Rather than seeing his siblings punished, Atonement will take it upon himself to atone for their sins. The imposed punishments vary in degree and intensity- from being as small as giving up a favored item to being as severe as a light/mild bodily injury. Whatever it takes to defend the honor of his family and keep them safe.
In terms of hobbies, Atonement loves to paint. His art is his voice since he has a harder time expressing himself verbally. Some might say he is the silent brooding type, but they have obviously never been privy to his works.
Plot Ideas: 1. This is My Family- As a foal, Atonement experiences his family’s eccentricities for the first time. He must learn how to handle them as they arise and understand that it’s just how things are.
2. Who Gave You the Right to Shame My Family Tree?- As a foal, Atonement comes into contact with bigotry and intolerance. At first, he doesn’t understand why other Soquili want to treat him differently. Then he learns that not all family units are like his. Atonement must learn to navigate through the intolerance and show others that, though his family may have its differences, they’re still his family.
3. My Sisters’ Sins- As a foal maturing into young adulthood, Atonement discovers his unique quality. After a serious situation arises between one (or both?) sisters and another Soq, Atonement expresses his wishes to make up for whatever it is that the sister(s) had done. From that moment on, he determines that it will be like that for as long as he lives- atoning for his family members, especially his sisters. (Of course, I would get together with the owners of these Soq beforehand.)
4. The Muse Strikes- As a young adult, Atonement begins to paint. He finds that he is very passionate about it, finding it easier to express himself. A Matter of Love- Centered in adulthood, Atonement falls in love with another Soquili. However, there is another stallion vying for the mare’s attention and he is willing to do anything it takes to win her. Atonement must fight for the mare he loves, or die trying.
Bonus RP: [Reason for filling out: bonus points.] Prompt: It's the foal's first solstice ceremony, and it's time to declare its commitment to the family! <3 )
Response: All was silent as the young foal entered the ceremonial area. A straight and unwavering path stretched out before him, guiding his way to the massive totem at its end. To either side of the path stood the various members of his family, watching him with earnest gazes. Today was the day. Atonement would officially become part of his family’s herd.
Drawing in a deep breath, Atonement adjusted the knife he held in his mouth- his mother’s knife- and started towards the totem. To say that he was nervous would be an understatement. His entire family was here after all, and all of their eyes were on him. What would happen if he screwed up? Cut himself too deep and he could bleed out. Cut himself too shallow and it might not even draw blood.
Atonement mentally shook those thoughts away. No, I can do this! He stopped a few inches away from the totem, glancing up at the leering faces it held. This is what I’ve wanted since the day I came into this world. The foal’s eyes narrowed with determination as he bowed his head. I won’t screw it up! A little flick of his head found the knife slicing across the lower part of his leg. Blood began to dribble from the wound- a slight but steady flow that would be enough to serve its purpose. Wordlessly, Atonement closed the gap between himself and the totem, bending his front knees so that his blood would land upon its base. “Great Spirits, accept this blood as a sign of my allegiance to the herd. Know that I will never forsake it as I am forevermore bound to it.”
When he was done, Atonement laid the knife on a small stump and rose again to his full height. Pride danced its way across his features as he turned to face the gathering. “It is done!” He declared for all to hear while silently amending, I didn’t screw it up!

Answer: Atonement feels the need to hunt on occasion, though he tries to resist the urge. Sometimes he is successful in satiating his lust with other items. Sometimes he is less successful and must hunt to curb his appetite. When it’s the latter case, Atonement typically indulges in fish, considering it the lesser of evils.
Question: How does the foal feel about art? Is it creative? Analytic? Indifferent? Answer: Being a painter, Atonement loves art. His muse strikes whenever it feels which can be troublesome at times. Most of his paintings are described as “feelings,” with his works being his true voice.
Question: What kind of relationship do you picture the foal having with its parents and siblings? Is it attached to any one or few of them in particular? What about extended family? Answer: Atonement loves his family- both immediate and extended- dearly. He is not overly choosy, preferring to be with them in general. Although, the foal does have a soft spot for his immediate family and particularly his sisters.
Question: This foal has discovered, after a little observation of several families, that its own family does not have quite a "normal" dynamic. Does this upset it, make it feel special, question things? Or can such a thing be brushed off? Answer: The family’s dynamic is inconsequential to Atonement. His family may be different, but they’re his family. He has grown up in this unit and wouldn’t change a thing. However, that is not necessarily to say that he will follow in some of his family members’ footsteps.
Question: Coming from such a complicated family can be hard and/or create bonds stronger than time. How does the foal feel about all the different idiosyncrasies in the group? Does it have any of its own? Answer: Idiosyncrasies are what make Atonement’s family unique. While they can be bothersome, they are seen by him as nothing more than a quirk. Atonement has one of his own as well, so he is not really in a place to judge.

Mad Hatter, or Just Mr. Hat? Username: pinchmonster Name: Confession Sinclair Personality: In one word, subdued. Confession does not suffer from over-responsivity like Arcadia, but under-responsivity. Many times it almost seems as thought he is living in his own little world. Those who know him well know that this is simply the way he is. He is not slow or stupid; it is just that it takes Confession more time to react. Pain, too, is a non-issue for Confession. His delayed synaptic reaction to any sort of physical, verbal or audible shock means that while he does not react immediately to many things, he will react later. Sometimes he reacts with a violence that is startling and violent, but more often than not he will react with his own flavor of artwork: scarification.
The only thing that has ever and will ever evoke an immediate response from Confession is the sharp snap of changing, mercurial personalities (experienced first with Vermillion, ideally) - and it is something he beings to seek out, much like a thrill-seeker needs to feel that rush of adrenaline.
Overall he is quiet and does not talk much. He does not interact well with those who might be overly verbose because sometimes it is difficult for him to follow extended conversations. He prefers to communicate without words; using gestures becomes utterly crucial to Confession's method of communication.
Plot Ideas:
Interaction with Milli only to be faced with Veri; Confession will find this sort of change in personality very spectacular. It will immediately clear the fog that he perpetually lives in, and he will find himself seeking it out in Vermillion, other family, and even strangers. All of the RP with all of the family. He will seek out those who are a part of his herd, and he will relish spending time with those who have no singular personality because they will keep him on his toes, so-to-speak. Being sought out by others who want Confession's scarification art. As a youth, accidentally going too far in his artwork and finding himself on the brink of death. Being found by a family member? Nursed back to health by family or a stranger? I'm very much open to anything and everything, especially when it comes to family and herdmembers.
Response: It is difficult, he thinks, to clear his head of fog long enough to take the blade so that he can do what he must. There are faint emotions, too far to see clearly but close enough to sense; there is pride, excitement, fondness. There is no fear or terror at the sight of the blade. It will not hurt. It never does. He's been hurt before. Paper-thin scars mark his forelegs. Even now, as a foal, he takes great pride in his art.
This moment will not be one that he forgets. Confession knows that this is a special thing, what he is about to do. He knows it is a matter of pride. He knows that this will truly make him family - one of them - and his family is not something he can ever live without.
He chooses a spot just above his shoulder. He will build from this scar; with his body as his canvas, he will show his pride for his family, his herd.
It will not hurt. It never does. Even if it did, he would suffer the pain in silence. For his family, for his herd, and for himself.
Answer: Confession does not feel the need to hunt, which is really quite fortunate because he is incredibly awful at it. While he does not mind the rich metallic tang of blood on his tongue, he is simply incapable of hunting for himself. Because of this, his under-responsivity (and thanks to the dilution of his Kalona blood) he can and does survive on greens alone. However, if a meal is to be shared between family members, Confession will partake.
Question: How does the foal feel about art? Is it creative? Analytic? Indifferent? Answer: Confession expresses his own creativity on his body. Because he has never felt pain the way a normal Soquili might, Confession uses scarification to demonstrate his more artistic tendencies. He is usually very careful about how he goes about doing this, and his forelegs and flanks will be more 'decorated' than other parts of his body. If approached correctly, Confession may be entreated to embellish the pelts of others with his own practiced and perfected methods.
Question: What kind of relationship do you picture the foal having with its parents and siblings? Is it attached to any one or few of them in particular? What about extended family? Answer: He will find himself more attached to Vermillion. It will be during a switch in personalities (mentioned in plots) that he finds himself being forced to make sense of things - a quick snap from sugar-sweet to tempestuous will give Confession emotional whiplash of sorts. He will become almost addicted to it and the clarity that it provides him, and he will undoubtedly find himself in the presence of this mother over Arcadia.
Any extended family that can provide the same rush will be treated in much the same way. He lives his life in such a fog that when it is forcibly cleared in the face of sudden personality changes, Confession will undoubtedly seek that out.
Should his father's ire ever be turned on him, it will very likely not bother Confession at all - unless, of course, his father's mood moves from one end of the spectrum to the other.
Question: This foal has discovered, after a little observation of several families, that its own family does not have quite a "normal" dynamic. Does this upset it, make it feel special, question things? Or can such a thing be brushed off? Answer: Confession's family dynamic becomes 'normal' to him. Those who live in large family-groups where they all get along or have no idiosyncrasies are considered strange to Confession, and while he does not judge them he will never understand them and he will never be a part of one. To be in Confession's life is to be a part of his family - and any future mates will have to understand this, because if they cannot, Confession does not have the time, interest or energy for them.
Question: Coming from such a complicated family can be hard and/or create bonds stronger than time. How does the foal feel about all the different idiosyncrasies in the group? Does it have any of its own? Answer: Confession realizes that he has his own issues, as frustrating as they may sometimes be. He finds solace in his art and in the company of the more unstable family he has. Being a part of such a unique family unit does not bother Confession - in fact, he feels more comfortable with family than he does in the company of strangers.
Mad Hatter, or Just Mr. Hat? Username: Yushika Name: Reincarnation Sinclair Personality: Temper: Protective.
Reincarnation, often called Rein, loves his family. This is something anyone can say, whether they've known him for minutes or years. His entire life is influenced by his love for them. He does not speak, move, or act without considering how it'd affect his family in the long run. They are his support; his blood; his entire being. As a result, any arguments or confrontations with family will make him sulk for days until it is resolved. He just can't imagine a life without them, and if he gets the life he wants he won't ever have to.
He is quiet and large, often causing him to become intimidating towards outsiders. He doesn't mind this and typically uses it to his advantage to ensure nothing threatening touches his herd on his watch. If he decides he likes you, you'll discover he's sweet and a bit goofy. While quiet he is prone to gentle nuzzles and silly jokes to lift spirits. He's a romantic and will do anything for those he loves, and often views love as something pure and the most beautiful emotion. He is touched easily, often shedding one tear during stories of love and family. However, Reincarnation does not quite understand his own emotions. While he cannot physically feel, he emotionally feels a lot. He is emotionally sensitive to the world around him and reacts often before he can comprehend why he's reacting the way he is. Anger is quick and bold, a result of someone threatening his family or judging them. Grief is intense and crippling. Joy is uplifting and fulfilling. He feels strongly, and commits.
Despite his abundance of emotions, he is terrible at art. He doesn't truly grasp how his feelings work, so creating a piece that displays himself often ends up chaotically. He also just lacks the talent in general. He doesn't mind, though. He loves watching his mother at work and appreciates it fully, he just can't create it himself!
He has inherited some of Vapor's rage. While he tends to be on the sweeter side, he can and will completely snap when it comes to protecting those he loves. Violence is often unplanned but quickly enacted when he needs to protect someone. He is not typically a violent creature, but protection is an exception. He also, at first, finds hunting and meat shameful. He's afraid to hurt others and knows his parents have issues with meat. Eventually, when he discovers Arcadia eating meat, he'll begin to feel pride. Both his birth parents gave him the need to eat meat, so why feel ashamed? And Vermillion isn't grossed out. What's the issue? He still will not hunt much and often rely on stealing kill from other animals.
Lastly, he cannot physically feel. It's a twisted joke of the fates, playing on Arcadia's over reactive response to touch. It leaves him feeling empty, and often seeking out cuddles and brief nuzzles in hopes he might actually feel it someday. He feels lost without it, as if he's lost a part of life. The fact he cannot feel when his parents touch him or his sisters brush against him hurts, deeply. He knows they love him, but he wants to feel it physically, too. What he'd do just to feel a nuzzle!
Plot Ideas:
While his mother has an over reactive sense of touch, he has none. He cannot feel, and this will lead him to attempt dangerous activities and, as an adult, constantly throwing himself into the arms of others. He wants to feel, and while he doesn't quite understand what it is to feel physical touch he knows it's something that brings others closer together. His inability to do so hurts, much like the pain Arcadia feels, and this will lead him to most likely getting wounded. During this time he'll rely on his family to patch him up, and probably lean on Arcadia emotionally, as she understands in a sense. He loves his sisters. His love for them is painful, almost. He frets and worries 24/7, often frantically chasing them down when they play just to ensure they're healthy and safe. I want this to become a problem. Maybe a sister finds a partner, or they want alone time and he just keeps appearing and his protective glory. He'll need a sit down talk, firmly, and eventually he'll let up. Maybe. Possibly. He is passionate. Fighting isn't something he tends to frequent in, but he'll gladly throw himself into a fray to protect the ones he loves, or even just defend their honor. For the longest time he is unaware of his more violent nature, and I want him to discover it in an explosion of emotion. Someone bad mouths his family, or perhaps someone is attacked; either way, he explodes and later is ashamed. He might confide in Vapor, and depending on how that goes he'll either grow more accustomed to his protective rage, or more ashamed. He will try and resist eating meat for the longest time, mostly because he won't see Arcadia do it for a long time. He's emotionally attached to Arcadia in a special way (mostly because they can relate when it comes to being different with touch), and he'll resist his needs to eat meat as much as possible. One day, I want him to witness her snapping point and feel relief, succumbing to his natural diet. Children. I want his first breeding to be his only ONS, a result of his desperate need to feel anything. He'll probably insist on taking the kids back to his parents for help, and depend on them heavily. The kids will most likely end up viewing the entire family as their guardians, in the end. Everything else is up for RPing and development as he progresses!
RP Examples: xxx, xxx - Both ongoing. I haven't finished old RPs, due to the fact I learned about my disability and took a break from some shops to focus on it. I'm back now and actively seeking RP partners! It's going slowly, but I hope to get more interest and RP a ton.
Bonus RP: Bonus points and I only have two ongoing RPs. I thought I'd include this to help. Prompt: It's the foal's first solstice ceremony, and it's time to declare its commitment to the family! <3 )
Response:
If wasn't the blade he was afraid of. He knew once the blade would slice he'd feel nothing, not even the warm blood spilling from the cut. No, his fear laid elsewhere, deep in the back of his head. His family watched eagerly, eyes locked upon him as he stood before the totem, uncertainty washing over and clouding his thoughts. It wasn't his family he was frightened of, either.
It was himself.
While he lacked the ability to feel physical pain, he had an abundance of emotional suffering. He was uncertain, perhaps even doubtful of his ability to make his family proud. He was not much. Reincarnation, while sharing a name that fit the theme of his siblings, often felt like he did not fit. It wasn't his families fault; they did everything in their power to ensure he was loved by each and every one of them. It was his own. He did not feel powerful enough to protect them, nor smart enough to ensure the herd would remain safe. The power to protect the herd did not lay on his shoulders alone, he knew this, but he wanted nothing more than to defend the ones who gave him a meaning. He would fail them, he worried. Some day they'd need him and he'd stumble, losing his beloveds in an instant.
That fear swirled deep within his head, suffocating each time it beat. His eyes raised, locking on his family with a hesitant blink. Did they trust him? Did they believe in him? He could only wonder as he held the blade, eyes locking on the cold metal with a furrowed brow. He did not trust himself, but did he believe in their judgement? They loved him. They wanted him in the herd. Who was he to say their judgement was false? He didn't trust himself, but they did. He had to honor their choice and love for him. If he truly loved them as he claimed then he'd put faith in the decisions they made.
His mouth parted, voice clear despite how tight his chest felt. "I will make you proud." Was all he said, sliding the blade against his leg and dripping the blood upon the totem. He was still terrified, but there was no where else he wanted to be. He would make them proud. He'd become the protector this herd needed, even if he died trying.
Answer: He feels the need, that much is for sure! For the longest time Reincarnation hated his need to hunt. It was not the fault of the herd, either. He has held a special connecting with Arcadia, and seeing her "resist' her urges for so long left him feeling like he needed to, as well. If she should do it then he needed to find that same strength. He hates hurting others (unless it's to protect his herd), and so hunting, at first, comes off as unsavory for him. However, one day when he sees Arcadia snap he'll suddenly realize it was always a part of her. She's suffered trying to suppress it, and then he'll give in. He'll become proud, even. He was given the need to eat meat by his beloved parents, why feel shame over it?
Question: How does the foal feel about art? Is it creative? Analytic? Indifferent? Answer: While Reincarnation is not talented with art he still greatly admires it, and even envies his mother. It is beautiful, in his eyes, but he cannot harness his emotions enough to fully create a piece that expresses himself. He would need to understand himself to do so, or let go enough control to embody it with art.
Question: What kind of relationship do you picture the foal having with its parents and siblings? Is it attached to any one or few of them in particular? What about extended family? Answer: He is, despite his reluctance to admit it, more attached to Arcadia. He feels, at first, bad for his attachment to her over the other parents, but eventually it'll make sense. They both suffer from the feeling of touch, in their own ways. She understands him, even if they are reversed. He doesn't feel as wrong when near her. However, he greatly respects and loves his other two parents. Vermillion will, in the beginning of his life, surprise him and often leave him distraught when her personalities rapidly switch, but over time he'll come to understand it and not blink twice. Vapor he would rely on to teach him how to use physical strength to protect, and may even start cursing as a foal before fully realizing what the words mean!
His sisters are special. He worships them, in a way. They are his sisters, and he will do anything to protect them. One has a prospective suitor? Time to be menacing brother! One hurts herself on a tree root? Time to set that tree on fire. One needs a hug after something horrible happened? He's ready and even has some tasty treats to add comfort. He will do anything for them.
Question: This foal has discovered, after a little observation of several families, that its own family does not have quite a "normal" dynamic. Does this upset it, make it feel special, question things? Or can such a thing be brushed off? Answer: He'd brush it off. His family is his. He doesn't care what others think, nor does he want to share. So what it's "different"? He's happy, and so is his family. Should someone comment on the dynamic and even say anything negative he might snap back. He's inherited enough of his dads anger to release a storm if someone dare mocks his family.
Question: Coming from such a complicated family can be hard and/or create bonds stronger than time. How does the foal feel about all the different idiosyncrasies in the group? Does it have any of its own? Answer: Reincarnation will do anything in his power to help any pain the others may feel, and comfort. He has his own issue (being unable to physically feel), and he knows how hard having something different is. He loves his unique family and will feel, usually, normal amongst them. Sometimes he'll be sad he can't feel a nuzzle, but at the end of the day they all have their issues and work to find a way to be a family despite it. He'll probably even feel more at ease with those like him!

Mad Hatter, or Just Mr. Hat? Username: Of The Epidemic Name: Redemption Sinclair Personality: Redemption, for the most part, is a gentle, sweet, loving, caring creature with a great well of understanding. He loves his family more than he loves life itself, he believes in them, trusts them, and protects them. He admires his mother Arcadia for her ability to overcome her disadvantages. It distresses him that he isn’t capable of touching her, but he bridges the gap by attempting to relate his entire day to her. He takes the time out to memorize every aspect of it so that he can tell it to her when she asks. He feels so terrible about her aversion to hunting and feeding herself that he often tries to do it for her. He believes that praying for the spirits of the deceased and painting an image guiding them towards the afterlife will help them get there. It’s his way of coping with his meat eating side. Though he has noticed his father seems to have the same aversion to meat as his mother and it troubles him. His father perplexes him, he can’t quite grasp why Vapor seems to have such troubles. It makes his heart ache that he can’t fix it so that his daddy doesn’t have to suffer; he has a bit of a bad habit of curling up under Vapor’s belly when he can tell his daddy is getting upset. Redemption doesn’t catch it all the time, but when he does he feels curling up and cuddling with his father is his way of helping him. Like maybe just having that close proximity will help soothe whatever devils terrorize Vapor, since he can’t understand that it’s simply Vapor’s natures fighting with each other. Vermillion is perhaps the one he has the easiest time with; he doesn’t seem to see any problem with Veri and Milli being the same person. He loves Milli to bits, finding she’s probably his favorite person to cuddle up with. She seems to enjoy it the most, which makes Demi all the happier to do so. Veri isn’t so bad either, but Demi has noticed she’s a bit huffy and sometimes he worries about exasperating her with his endless oddities. However, Veri is the one that protects Arcadia, most often anyway, so he respects her a great deal. He wants to learn to be as strong as Veri but he’s a little afraid to ask for her training. (Note that he does call Vermillion mom as well.)
Demi appears normal, mostly; if you met him in passing he’d likely come off completely fine. He has a bit of a hang up on redeeming oneself to achieve eternal peace, but all in all it isn’t so bad. However, there is a darker side to this boy, he’s a vigilante, a punisher of evil, who seeks forgiveness for this great wrong he’s supposedly done. If this wrong is real or just perceived has yet to be seen, but because of this he has a hard time handling those that won’t ask forgiveness for their crimes. He wields his butcher’s blade quite well, and is no stranger to using it on others. He can’t abide by those that would harm others at all; these are some of the people he tends to punish the hardest. This constant seeking of forgiveness makes him quite empathetic and emotional; he wears his heart on his shoulder, so to speak. He’s prone to long bouts of depression if he feels he’s hurt someone, which happens more than he would like due to his zealous attitude towards certain things. He will go out of his way for someone he’s hurt, even when it puts himself in peril. He’s stable, for the most part, but he has his moments.
Plot Ideas:
General Family Rp – I say general but I have some ideas. I know I want him to ask Resurrection about the afterlife and everything she knows. He’s worried that he’ll never reach his eternal peace when his time comes, so everything she knows would be helpful. Adoration getting into trouble and her siblings coming to the rescue also sounds fun. I imagine Redemption is fairly huge and could easily throw a blanket over her and shield her under his wings. Arcadia teaching him how to paint and so on and so forth with things like that.
Where we got our start. – I do at some point really want to see him track down and talk with the first generations of his lineage. Vincent will obviously be easy, but the others might not be. He might not even be able to find them all, but still he’d like to try. To see where he got his start, to hear their stories, to know what they have seen. For they are a part of him and would know much more about the world; he might be able to learn from them.
Sins of the forefathers – I want someone to actually question Redemption on his big sin that he has to apologize for. Be it a family member or not, doesn’t matter to me. Just someone to pry at just what it is he needs to apologize for. It would be interesting to see how his character reacted to that sort of scrutiny. Or even what he would say about the sin he harbors in him.
Size matters – Demi doesn’t see anything wrong with his size, for the most part. I’d love if he maybe knocked a flutter over or some other smaller breed by accident and felt just awful. He’d go around attempting to make himself super small for some time. I think it would just be adorable to see him fluffing around over itty bitties trying to make it all better and appear unintimidating. XD
Love is not brutal – I want one of Redemptions first vigilante ‘delivering of justice’ excursions to be him rescuing someone from an abusive relationship. Male or female, doesn’t matter. If the perpetrator is killed or not can be decided later, but the victim will be rescued; it’ll be this that causes a bigger harping of forgiveness and justice to happen for him.
The forgiven, the hero, the savior. – The mare or stallion that Redemption saves I want to become the dearest of friends. This person will become someone who forgives Redemption anytime he comes seeking forgiveness. Be it for his great perceived wrong or for other things he’s done that he is ashamed of. He needs that sort of grounding presence that can just wrap him up and let him know that he is forgiven and it is okay. I’d love to see some development over time of Demi actually getting a bit better thanks to this person. While he’ll never be 100% normal, it’d be nice to see him not so dependent upon forgiveness for his sins.
Response: It seemed strangely quiet in this area of the solstice ceremony, the festivities they had just passed through were so loud they had been deafening for him. Yet here, circled around the intricately carved totem, things were almost silent. He couldn’t even hear the normal nighttime sounds, owls, crickets; it was as if the world itself held its breath.
They were waiting, all of them, everything, for him to take the plunge and join the family officially. The soft movement of his mother Arcadia drew his attention to her as she offered him the blade. It was time; he carefully took the blade from his mother, making completely sure he didn’t brush her nose at all so as not to cause her any discomfort. With the knife now firmly in his grasp, he turned back towards the totem, taking his first hesitant steps forward.
It wasn’t that he was scared, or that he didn’t want to do it, but he was nervous. What if he did it wrong? Bled too little? Or too much? What if he made a mess of things and embarrassed his parents? Redemption chanced a glance back over his shoulders and at his sisters. They were up next and he knew it’d probably be stressful for Adoration, so he had to be strong. He had to show them that there was absolutely nothing to worry about!
After all, what greater gift was there than to officially join the family? Even if he wasn’t exactly sure he was deserving of such an honor. Still, he had to do this, to be strong for his family, he would make them proud of him, of that he was sure.
Redemption turned back to face the totem, walking forward with much stronger steps this time. He had passed by it before of course, but he’d never taken the time out to actually inspect it as he was now. It was fairly dark in spots, as if the blood had soaked in and colored the wood. The detail in the craftsmanship was rather amazing, and Demi could see how it would have taken human hands with their dexterity to create. Their totem was probably the best crafted out of any herds anywhere.
He lifted his front left hoof up, bracing it on the base of the totem as he brought the blade down it, quick and sharp. There was a burning sensation that quickly dulled into a throb as Redemption held it up, running the wound down the side of the totem leaving a dark red smear. It was more than a little blood, but Demi was pleased with it, proud of it even. Holding his head high, he turned around and pranced back towards his family; there was congratulations, cheering and festivities to be had after which made it all the better. Redemption wore his cut the rest of the night with pride, for he was now a true Sinclair.
Answer: Redemption does not hate his kalona blood, or the fact he needs meat to eat. He feels that everyone has a place, everyone has a job, and as long as you honor your food then there has been no wrong done. He makes sure to paint pictures of them ascending to their ever peace and prays for their safe passage.
Question: How does the foal feel about art? Is it creative? Analytic? Indifferent? Answer: Art is a way of expression, art is a link to ones soul, and it can show us things about ourselves that we wouldn’t always like to know. Redemption loves art, for what it means, what it can express, and how much it can show you about yourself. It’s something deeply personal to him even though he doesn’t do it all the time.
Question: What kind of relationship do you picture the foal having with its parents and siblings? Is it attached to any one or few of them in particular? What about extended family? Answer: Redemption is extremely attached to all his family. Not just Arcadia, but each member holds a special place in his heart. From his sisters he feels he needs to protect, to his parents whom he feels a great respect for. I’m not sure how this will shift when Vapor and Resurrection leave, but I’m sure he’ll never hate them. While he follows the teaching of his extended family he isn’t terribly attached to any of them at this point. I would love to get some rp from them though so that he could become attached! It would be something of great interest to see him speak with Vincent about his past and the tragedies he’s faced. I think it would make his views on his family shift to one of great respect even more and help really bring home the ideals of his family.
Question: This foal has discovered, after a little observation of several families, that its own family does not have quite a "normal" dynamic. Does this upset it, make it feel special, question things? Or can such a thing be brushed off? Answer: Redemption doesn’t quite see how his family dynamic is anything to really question. While it might not be what others do, it’s what works for his family, what is right for them. They all need each other and he wouldn’t deny anyone that for the sake of being normal. Normal is as normal does and he’d rather be special and happy than normal and upset.
Question: Coming from such a complicated family can be hard and/or create bonds stronger than time. How does the foal feel about all the different idiosyncrasies in the group? Does it have any of its own? Answer: For the most part Redemption doesn’t really see them as all that strange or odd. For Vapor and Arcadia he mostly feels worry and sorrow that they have these things they must suffer through. Especially when they seem to hurt his parents more than anything else and he just wants to take all that pain away from them. However, he does his best to find ways around their quirks so to speak. Vermillion doesn’t even seem off to him at all, while he knows it is odd for her to house two ‘spirits’, he doesn’t really see it as being unusual. He just accepts that this is who she is and doesn’t question it in the least. This is the parent he doesn’t have to worry about because it doesn’t seem to hurt her at all and that’s all he cares about. Resurrection fascinates him, he wants to know what she’s seen, anything she knows about the eternal peace to come. He loves listening to her and doesn’t see anything wrong with her at all. Adoration he worries for, greatly; he hates to think that one day she might find herself in a situation without one of them. It’s because of this that he sticks fairly close to her when he can. He has a habit of bringing her all sorts of blankets and things to help her.
He has his search for forgiveness, and his need to push people to seek it as well. Aside from that, he’s fairly normal actually, no problems hunting, nothing with touch, aside from a few texture issues. He’s not too bad off, all things considered.
Mad Hatter, or Just Mr. Hat? Username: UniWingdFox Name: Orthodoxy Sinclair (orthodox belief or practice; partial synonym for religion) Personality: Temper: Dogma (a settled or established opinion, belief, or principle) Orthodoxy Sinclair believes himself a holy stallion. It is his firm believe that he was born to set the world right. This was firmly cemented into his head when first hearing of his sister's birth trials. As such he also believes his family to be perfection itself. Any faults they may or may not have he is completely blind to. They are his normal and he'll defend them to the death. Those outside his precious family are considered impure and must be cleansed. He 'cleanses' them by their own blood. Orth does this by using his 'holy' blade of 'righteousness'. Many, but not all, of his victims die in the process and all the better in his book! Some of his victims are animals that he kills so that he might eat. As he attacks any prey, he'll spew forth his variant of a religious prayer that basically condemns them to the underworld. In fact, his normal speech is not too different. All in all, you could say he's a psychotic priest.
Plot Ideas: - Sibling foal RP and/or adult RP would be much sought after, particularly the foal RP. - Some kind of plot or RP with any of his family and how they handle him being pretty much a self-righteous murderous priest. - Some kind of plot for a violent encounter with someone 'unworthy' and needing to be 'cleansed'. - Far in the future finding him a mate that would fit into his perfect view of the world and his family. - Always open to more!
Bonus RP: Bonus points~ Prompt: It's the foal's first solstice ceremony, and it's time to declare its commitment to the family! <3 )
Response: Orthodoxy had eagerly been awaiting his first solstice ceremony as soon as he understood what it meant. He would give anything to be committed to his perfect family. His near sinister smile would undoubtedly be frightening to those who had yet to met him, but he would not notice. Eagerly he accepted the knife that would be his 'holy' weapon against the miserables of the world. Without the slightest hesitancy he sliced himself deeply enough to make certain he would have enough blood to perform this act. His cut gushed out of course, but he made it through the ceremony. Being young and inexperienced he ended up fainting from the lose with a smile on his face. When he awoke, healed, he went straight into honing his knife skills.
Answer: Orth fully embraces the need to not only hunt, but to hunt for food. Killing innocents for sport however is not okay with him. He is similar to Resurrection in that he prays over his victim.
Question: How does the foal feel about art? Is it creative? Analytic? Indifferent? Answer: He values art in it's entirety, especially the art he makes. On his self-righteous journey to rid the world of criminals and non-believers, he turns each into it's own work of art. Whether it be just the body or just the blood or a mix of both.
Question: What kind of relationship do you picture the foal having with its parents and siblings? Is it attached to any one or few of them in particular? What about extended family? Answer: Orth believes his family to be pure and holy. He might not feel love but will protect them and the ideals they represent for him to his death. They can do no wrong in his eyes even if they were to start killing merely for sport.
Question: This foal has discovered, after a little observation of several families, that its own family does not have quite a "normal" dynamic. Does this upset it, make it feel special, question things? Or can such a thing be brushed off? Answer: As stated above, he believes his family to be perfection itself. All other families are the abnormal ones and some even need to be purified and cleansed by his 'holy' knife.
Question: Coming from such a complicated family can be hard and/or create bonds stronger than time. How does the foal feel about all the different idiosyncrasies in the group? Does it have any of its own? Answer: He does not see any issues within his own family. They are the ideal after all. As for his own idiosyncrasies, he believes himself a holy man, a priest if you will, who has been set on the path of cleansing the non-believers and unrighteous. How he cleanses them is through their own blood as they die by his righteous grace.

*Disclaimer* Any spirits mentioned are only heard/seen in his head and are not actual spirits! Mad Hatter, or Just Mr. Hat? Username: LOLTERNATIVE Name: Devotion "Dev" Sinclair Personality: Despite his size and appearance, Dev is a gentle giant. His conflictions about hunting leave him wanting to make up for the blood he has spilt - even if it is a requirement of him living. For every kill he makes, he keeps a tally and performs good deeds in order to cancel the kills out - atoning for his sins, in a way. It can be as simple as helping a stranger with a task or putting his life on the line. Whatever it is, if someone needs him, Dev will be there. This isn't to say that it is the only reason he is kind. Even without his conflictions, it is likely that he would come to the rescue of those in need or lend a hoof when he was asked. In some instances, his redemption may bring him to stand up against his father's foul moods and colourful words in order to protect someone.
His spiritual side and the belief that he can see spirits - and is haunted by one - will leave him delusional and will often times have him talking to himself (though he believes he is talking to Agatha). At times when he's being bombarded with the presence of spirits he will cover his eyes in order to not see them - a placebo effect. He will also do this when he and Agatha are fighting in order to make her go away so he can't see / hear her anymore. As he grows, his contact with the spirits will change him and shape him as he learns more information. He may grow maniacal - thinking himself powerful and a priest or he may stay humble and use his powers to help those move on - it's heavily dependant on RP and who he meets as he grows. This means sometimes he can be a bit hot-headed and stubborn in his beliefs and his views of right and wrong are very black and white - to him there is no in between; you're either good or you're not. He can come across as judgemental - because oft times he is but it's not meant as an insult merely as a way for him to determine where everyone stands - he's likely to ask a lot of questions etc'.
Dev isn't talented when it comes to art but he appreciates all things that are created by those more talented than he. He will often be found watching his sister or mother while they are painting, admiring from afar and showering them with praise - whether they accept it or not. He's very proud of his family and is often talking very highly of them to anyone he meets - whether they're interested or not. This may be annoying to some while others may find it sweet. For this reason, he holds artists and those that create things of beauty in a high regard and always treats them with respect and honour.
At the end of the day, despite his odd behaviour and his righteous ways, Dev is just a big softy looking for his place in the world - trying to find meaning beyond redemption and trying to find life and happiness outside of his family. He's always down to meet new people - so long as they aren't what he considers 'evil' or 'bad' and is intrigued by the world and the secrets it holds. Plot Ideas: Foal Art Various RPs with those more artistically inclined in his family and Dev's frustration in regards to not seeming to have a knack for it. He'll get jealous at first but will perhaps find a hidden talent elsewhere. Agatha The arrival of his spirit/imaginary friend. He will, of course, keep her a secret at first but perhaps those close to him notice something different and try to get him to reveal the truth - talking to himself etc'. Various RPs in which Agatha helps him overcome internal conflicts. Hunger His revelations in regards to the fact that he simply can't not eat meat but wanting to keep it a secret from his family. Even though he knows they'd likely still accept him, the way his father acts in regards to eating meat will have him conflicted and torn. Eventually the need will feel so strong he'll eat (this results in Agatha). Eyes At this point he hasn't made the revelation of his eyes seeing spirits and so while they are there they aren't a huge part of him. Various RPs in which others react to the eyes and shape him. Adult Seeing Something happens and Dev starts seeing more spirits than just Agatha. Every kill he makes releases a spirit and before they carry on to the next life he speaks to them. At this point he meets someone who explains that it must be because of his eyes - they've given him extra sight. Hunting Various hunting Roleplays - him performing the ritualistic kill and speaking to the spirit before he lights its remains on fire. Learning various pieces of information from the spirit etc'. Missing Something happens and Agatha disappears. Maybe someone explains that she isn't real and they're so convincing that Dev believes them. She will, of course, come back eventually but Dev won't be himself during this time. It's likely that, without Agatha's guidance and conscience, he'll become a different person. Ink His love for art and allowing his sisters to use his body as a canvas will evolve and he'll begin to explore permanent art. Researching and finding a suitable technique as well as teaching it to his sisters / family. The ink will be a very special thing to him - for someone outside of the family to have ink added means they're incredibly special to him. Spirits Rumors have begun to spread of the stallion with eyes who see spirits. Soquili come looking for him - perhaps they are haunted or they simply wish for their loved one to pass on without any troubles. Funerals etc', Dev will be happy to help! Haunted Something happens to Dev and he kills a familiar that is bonded to a soquili - someone's friend, someone's family. The spirit of this familiar then joins Agatha though it is not friendly and it is not their to guide him. It is literally a haunting - his guilt/grief manifested.
Answer: Dev's confliction will come from those he is raised around more so than any diluted blood - seeing his parents reluctance will give him caution especially as a foal. He'll be a solitary hunter and will develop a phobia of people watching him eat - preferring to go off on his own to eat - people watching him eat makes him physically ill. He may grow out of this at a later point - I feel this will likely be in late teens / early adult and he'll grow to accept himself.
Question: How does the foal feel about art? Is it creative? Analytic? Indifferent? Answer: He'll be interested in art at first but will find he doesn't quite have the knack for it as other members of his family do. As a foal, he'll try and participate but will likely get frustrated and give up when realising his lack of natural talent. He'll not feel any ill-feelings towards his sisters or mother; instead cherishing the beauty they create. He'll grow to cherish it so much that he will ask his sisters and mother to creates pieces of art on his body - decorating his coat with bright colours.
I would /love/ for this to evolve further into more permanent solutions via tattoos and may even evolve into a family tradition of his - every new member adds a new piece of art to his body (or a member adds it for them if they don't feel comfortable).
Question: What kind of relationship do you picture the foal having with its parents and siblings? Is it attached to any one or few of them in particular? What about extended family? Answer: Because of his spiritual ways I believe he will get along quite well with Resurrection and may even have a closer connectio to her than other members of the family (dependant on RP / how personalities turn out of course). That's not to say he won't get along with other members of his family - his love of art will see him close with Resurrection & his mother and though he may sometimes find his father's attitude a little crass, he will still love him and hope to change his nature in some way.
To him, his family is everything but that won't mean he won't want a life outside of it.
Question: This foal has discovered, after a little observation of several families, that its own family does not have quite a "normal" dynamic. Does this upset it, make it feel special, question things? Or can such a thing be brushed off? Answer: It honestly doesn't bother him - he sees the love that is in his family and that's all that matters to him - that everyone is happy and no one is left out. It would bother him if people said something about his family and their dynamic - he would, of course, defend them.
Question: Coming from such a complicated family can be hard and/or create bonds stronger than time. How does the foal feel about all the different idiosyncrasies in the group? Does it have any of its own? Answer: Dev believes that everything has a spirit. He kills in a ritualistic manner, saying a prayer and burning any remains left behind so that the spirit can pass on. His first kill, however, he was unaware of such things and so he has the 'spirit' of an owl that 'haunts' him. The owl - who goes by Agatha - is actually more of an imaginary friend and Dev is attempting to find the remains so that the owl can pass onto the spirit world (an impossible quest and one neither of them are too fussed about completing any time soon as they enjoy each others company). Agatha is a guide of sorts - offering advice when Dev is conflicted - she's basically his conscience manifested into an imaginary being as a result of his conflicted feelings about hunting. She soothed him even though he took her life.
His delusions will grow and he will later begin to see spirits as they pass into the next life - and those who have not. He'll relate this to the extra eyes he possesses - believing they are what see the spirits.

Mad Hatter, or Just Mr. Hat? Username: Caitlyn Hellstorm Name: Resonance Sinclair Personality: Conflicted, Vivacious., Mercurial. Resonance Sinclair is one of those soquilis that is not sure what to do with himself because he's a blend of everything that went into this unique lineage and he's torn between the lust of the blood and love for the life itsself. It resulted in him have a very mercurial personality where nobody knows what is going on in his head or what he would do but at same time, his presence and the voice is loud and living up to his namesake, resonating throughout the surrounding areas. Resonance likes the company of solitude and songs of the nature so he's always found by himself with his eyes closed, listening to the songs that would bring him some internal peace from the war that rages inside him between the bloodlust and the love of the life.
When it comes to his family, he continues to keep his guard up as he treads carefully among his family members, showing them a measure of respect they deserved but when it comes to his mothers, they get to see a gentle and loving stallion that would do everything he could to provide for them. With his father, he understood how the older stallion felt because he's currently going through the same struggles so he interacts with him as much as he could because he views his father as one of the outlets to sort through his emotions due to the struggles. His sisters are his pride and joy and he will die for them, no hesitation at all.
To outsiders, he's a very loud stallion that doesn't know how to use his inside voice as he uses his features to make himself look more bigger and meaner because to him, the outsiders will be safe if they are far away from him (just in case he succumbs to the bloodlust). He's a very vivacious stallion that enjoys interacting with others that have gained his trust and sees through his guarded and judgmental side.
Plot Ideas: Torn between bloodlust and respect for life: Resonance, as a foal, would realize that he's having the same problems with his father after observing him for awhile and seeing that his father is having huge problems with killing. He would encounter another foal or another wildlife, the bloodlust will surge up to egg him on but other side (love and respect for the nature) would come into the play. He would be so conflicted to the point where he breaks down, mentally. I understand now, father- After realizing that he have two warring sides inside him, forever battling for dominance over his body, Resonance would resent his father for a good while until he turned an adult. When he's an adult, he will finally understand what it is like to be so conflicted about everything when you have two completely opposite enties inside you trying to tell you what to do. He would approach his father and have a heart to heart talk to him along with apologize for his negative feelings aimed toward his father when he was a foal. Why aren't birds singing to me anymore?- Resonance will have a lapse in his control and go on this mindless killing while drenched him in blood and sated his insatiable bloodlust but it have a devastating consequence for both stallion and the wildlife around them. The word of the massacre reached to almost all of the wildlife so now the stallion can't find his solace in the songs that nature offers like bird songs, calls of animals because when they detect him around, they go dead silent. It drives him crazy because he can't find his peace anywhere now I love you but I don't want to hurt you- After endless hunt for his ideal mate, he have discovered her but the problem is that he is too afraid to get too close to her because of that bloodlust that keeps rising up whenever she's around. He struggles with that and tries to keep the mare at the bay but it is tearing him apart to do that. In the end, he caves in to the love and be mated to her.
Response: Resonance have been mentally and physically preparing for his first solstice ceremony and he's very excited about it because he will finally become part of the herd but at same time he's very nervous about it because he knows he's very unstable due to two huge personas inside him waging war against each other for the dominance of this little foal. For days before the ceremony, Resonance took off to attempt to meditate and find the peace so he won't have one of his episodes during the ceremony because that would be very embarrassing for him. "I can do this... I can do this." He mutters to himself as he walks toward the ritual area where he would have to take a knife from one of his parents and let some of his blood flow in order to become a member of the herd where he will finally find a way to really contribute to the herd and be useful.
The voice floats over to him from the center of the group,"Come forward, Resonance Sinclair" and he does a little dance in the spot while quiet excited humming could be heard coming from him when he walks through the group, measuring his steps carefully so he could look graceful and strong when he's strolling up to his parents. Not being able to read anything in his parents' faces, Resonances steps almost stuttered as he is not sure what his parents are thinking of him right now but the sheer determination overcame the uncertainty and he lifts his head up, meeting each of his parents' eyes with almost defiant gleam in his eyes. The knife gleams wickedly under the moonlight as his parent hands the knife over to Resonance before backing away, all of the eyes are now trained on the colt when he makes his way over to the totem.
The surge of pride, savage joy, acceptance and protectiveness threatened to overwhelm the small colt's body as he stood in front of the totem, staring at it with the knife in his muzzle. His body trembles visibly due to the overload of emotions and he closes his eyes, listening to the songs that seems to start to reach the crescendo which means its time for him to do something that he is destined to do.
With a smooth motion, he made a small cut on his shoulder and leans near the totem to allow the blood drip down to the ground, he stood motionless and allowed the blood trickle down his body until the clot forms. "We welcome Resonance Sinclair into the herd." That voice spoke out again. One by one, different voices joins in, welcoming the little colt into the herd and Resonance turns around. facing his herd with his head held up high with pride and savage joy swelling up in his heart.
Now he's part of the herd.

Answer: Resonance is very conflicted when it comes to hunting because a part of him relishes the hunt and loves the adrenaline rush that comes with it but other part of him recoils at it and prefers to preserve animals instead of hunting them. He will hunt once in while to sate his bloodlust and get the meat he needs but he would have to deal with the aftermath of regret, remorse and self-hatred.
Question: How does the foal feel about art? Is it creative? Analytic? Indifferent? Answer: Art is one of Resonance's passions and he could see art anywhere he goes because he believes that if someone stands really still and watch things, the beauty will show itself to that soquili. He also likes to analyze various different things, figure out how those kind of pieces are made, grown and why they are grown that way. Art, in a summary, is a giant mystery that he enjoys.
Question: What kind of relationship do you picture the foal having with its parents and siblings? Is it attached to any one or few of them in particular? What about extended family? Answer: I feel like Resonance will be particularly close to his father, Vapor because of their similiar issues and they understand each other. He is particularly protective of his sisters and maintains a good relationship with them but there's always a gap between them that the stallion couldn't figure out how to bridge until later on. The stallion is mamas' boy and will do anything to see his mothers smile and being happy.
Question: This foal has discovered, after a little observation of several families, that its own family does not have quite a "normal" dynamic. Does this upset it, make it feel special, question things? Or can such a thing be brushed off? Answer: Resonance always knew that his family weren't normal and he embraces it because it just simply means they are unique and different from others. He's actually very proud of it.
Question: Coming from such a complicated family can be hard and/or create bonds stronger than time. How does the foal feel about all the different idiosyncrasies in the group? Does it have any of its own? Answer: Resonance is very indifferent about all the different idiosyncrasies in the group because he knows that the herd and family is not normal but there's an obvious love and care existing among the herd members and family so that's all it matters to him. He's very particular when it comes to his herd members and would be more restrained and watch his actions around them because he feels like he have a role he needs to live up to. With his family, he takes that down a notch but he still carries himself with a sense of responsibility and feels like he needs to protect them, help with parents with providing things.

Mad Hatter, or Just Mr. Hat? Username: Kamiki Name: Purity Sinclair (Agender - DMAB, prefers he/him pronouns) Personality: Purity is quiet, extremely introspective, and artistic; though he doesn't always know how to express the feelings he has. He's not mute, but extremely quiet. It's not quite shyness - he likes to be around others, he's just constantly observing and losing himself in his own head.
Purity is a masochist. His favorite sensations are ones of pain - slices on his skin from his blade, the feel of a hot coal under his hoof, or the satisfying tenderness that comes from a bruise. He's not suicidal - and even he has his limits on the amount of pain he finds soothing/comforting. That is to say that he wouldn't intentionally pick a fight with a skinwalker or such, but perhaps its the conflicting blood that runs through his veins that causes him to seek out pain.
To Purity, pain is an artform that you can feel. Just like music for the ears, food for the taste, or painting for the eyes. While all sensations (pleasurable and painful alike) can elicit very strong emotional responses from Purity - he finds himself gravitated towards pain as he gets the strong response from it. It's not generally a sexual or fetishized sensation: it's simply tactile art. There's a strong, intimate, emotional response from the pain, its just not generally a sexual one.
Plot Ideas:
* Finding My Place : Purity seems to absorb the world through osmosis - though he doesn't speak much he feels like he has to experience something before he can make a judgement on this. Because of this he would actively seek as many different Soquili as would give him the time of day, to see how he feels about their life, in which to better gauge his own.
* Sensation as Art : Its not that Purity can't find beauty in more "traditional" art forms, but nothing makes Purity happier than experiencing physical touch. Sensations paint a vivid picture in his mind; and as he grows up he'd spend quite a bit of time learning the limits of his masochism; focusing more on the physical than the psychological (i.e., he gets more pleasure from physical pain than psychological degradation or humiliation).
Bonus RP: [Reason for filling out:bonus points.] Prompt: It's the foal's first solstice ceremony, and it's time to declare its commitment to the family! <3 )
Response: Purity's hooves were shaking unsteadily as he reached the totem, feeling the weight of every eye of the herd on him. The pressure was unbearable, and though his nervousness wasn't apparent to the outsiders as it felt to him, Purity swore they all could see right through him: he was convinced they could sense the fear and uncertainty in him and deem him unworthy. Taking a deep breath, he stepped up and took the cleaver in his mouth, and closed his eyes.
A part of him felt guilty for focusing on this; this was one of the most important moments of his life but as he felt the weight of the cleaver in his mouth his heart began to pound with a pulse of excitement. He had purposely held off making himself bleed for a little while; using the promise of this to center him during the ceremony and to keep him focused.
The blade came down, touching the soft skin of his front foreleg; the weight of the blade resting on the thin hair for a moment; leaving just a small indention into the skin as Purity savored the moment; that perfect little half-second before the skin gave way. It was like looking over the cliff; thrilling and scary with so much promise of what was to come.
Closing his eyes, Purity pressed in and dragged the blade over the skin, his breath catching at the explosion of color and endorphins behind his eyes as the skin finally gave way to the blade, making a small but perfect little slice on his foreleg. It was only mere seconds, but to Purity it lasted for hours - feeling the cool wind on the sting of the wound, and the warmth of the blood as it trickled down his fur.
Centering himself, he finally let his eyes open. The shade of red - blood -red - was the most beautiful thing in the world. He watched, mesmerized, as the blood feel off his leg and splattered like perfect artist oils on the stone of the totem. There was no more fear now; only easy, comforting contentment as he realized he had finished. He looked up to the crowed and smiled at his family, tears of pride stinging the corner of his eyes.

Answer: Purity has no desire to kill anything. He's perfectly fine without hunting, and food doesn't hold much of an appeal to him other than survival anyway. He'd learn to live off the greens alone.
Question: How does the foal feel about art? Is it creative? Analytic? Indifferent? Answer: Purity wants to love art (at least traditional art) more than he does. He loves the concept of art, but it just doesn't get the gut emotional reaction from it that he wants. Unless, of course, its tactile or sensation based.
Question: What kind of relationship do you picture the foal having with its parents and siblings? Is it attached to any one or few of them in particular? What about extended family? Answer: Purity seems aloof and distant, but he's just quiet. He loves to observe everyone and would love to have an extended network of family and friends.
Question: This foal has discovered, after a little observation of several families, that its own family does not have quite a "normal" dynamic. Does this upset it, make it feel special, question things? Or can such a thing be brushed off? Answer: It would make sense to Purity. He knows he's an odd duck but he's comfortable with who he is and embraces his family's uniqueness.
Question: Coming from such a complicated family can be hard and/or create bonds stronger than time. How does the foal feel about all the different idiosyncrasies in the group? Does it have any of its own? Answer: He thinks everyone is a little weird, its just a matter of if your 'weirdness' is more traditional or not. He's thankful to be part of a herd that doesn't judge; he would feel a connection to his family, even if he didn't share their exact same "idiosyncrasies"
Mad Hatter, or Just Mr. Hat? Username: musicaloner7 Name: I'm sort of between two names. Destruction Sinclair{Would go by Des for short } Eradication Sinclair{ Would go by Era for short } Both mean the same thing.
If you guys want to pick which you'd prefer, that's totally fine by me.
Personality: { will be using Eradication for the time being. }
The complexity of this little foal will blossom right from the start. From the emerging of his basket, Era won't be one to make much sound, or noise, not even speak unless finding it necessary. Early on it'll be quite obvious how intensely he'll stare at someone/something, as he'll have a strong sense and urge to observe everything he encounters to the fullest. It's easily understandable that some might be creeped out by it, or feel his gaze unnerving, perhaps even rude, but it's his way of gathering information. He's overly analytical, to boot, as his mind is constantly on and constantly thinking. It's processing information, and running various possibilities, and perspectives, turning anything that it broaches as a topic every which way to make sure no side is left undiscovered.
However, the Achilles heel to thoughts constantly running through his head, is that he overthinks everything. This means he often looks for ulterior motives others may have when engaging with him, or trying to find some sort of "true purpose" for why they do what they do. Not one to see the intentions of others in the best of lights, more than likely he will assume there is some sort of greedy or selfish reason for why individuals seek him or others out. Era is quite serious and focused as a Soq, unable to find most of the light-hearted things in life. Due to his personality disorder, { mostly associated with Cluster A and C; harping strongly on the paranoid, schizoid, and avoidant branches. } Era struggles constantly with figuring others out, and understanding them properly. It's not uncommon for him to misinterpret others, and often times find himself alienating away from them for fear of worse things to come. It's a battle of wanting to be close, but also not wanting to be, but wanting company, and also not wanting it. He's at a constant conflicting sway, back and forth, of wanting to trust someone and be close, yet feeling certain their intentions are ill-intended.
This goes hand in hand with his frustration in trying to wrangle his emotions, which tend to overpower his logical mind. With his heightened sense of awareness, he is able to be ultra observant to things, or those around him. Did you just get your mane cut? Oh he'll know, even if it was just a single inch. More times than not, he'll notice the most "insignificant" of things, and be able to map out an entire answer that most would never be able to conceive. He can read facial expressions, or physical gestures and postures to get a better gauge of another. Even someones simple presence or energy and vibe can help him understand better.
For him, words are cheap, and ineffective in properly expressing ones self in any means. In fact, he has a great deal of trouble vocally expressing himself. This causes him to rely on using physical means to show what he means, wants, or to convey information to others. In fact, he gets quite anxious when pelted by talkative individuals, already having a hint of social anxiety.
Plot Ideas: { I don't usually come up with plots until rp actually happens. All of these are just rough ideas. }
- I'm an avid fan of family rp, so I would love to get as much of that as possible. With WHO ever possible, in the large fam!
- I'd love for him to meet some of my Twisted Medic herd members, as I think they'd get on pretty well together.
- If possible I want him to be able to find at least one person he can feel a real closeness with. Whether that be family member or someone from the outside, I would like him to be able to try and overcome a little of his debilitating obstacles.
- Someone who questions his way of thinking, and really causes more turmoil for his thought process would be an interesting means of development; either could hinder or help him grow.
- Maybe someone who doesn't even mind his quirky nature, and wants to be around him. I think it'd probably confuse him, and throw him for a loop, but would be good for him.
- It'd be awesome if he helped solve problems for someone, or use his "detective like" deductive skills to answer difficult riddles or unanswered cases.
- He finds someone he's quite taken with, either romantically or just admiration, who has no interest in him. Would be an interesting test for him, and another challenge for him to deal with.
- I want him to find other artists, and learn of their styles, techniques, and mediums. To go hand in hand with that, I want him to also broaden his knowledge variety wise in the art world, and get exposed to music, dance, and other modes of artistic expression.
- A fellow intellectual, or analytical individual to swap ideals and opinions with would be fantastic for him. Either of opposing views, or some that align, he'd probably like hearing their thoughts and maybe even speak from time to time.
RP Examples: [List at least five, if you have that many. If you have zero soquili or want "bonus points," see the next field.]
I do 99% of my rp via IM's, so this really isn't a good representation of my rping. Also not sure if Soq rps are the only allowed rps, so I used some non-soq rps too.
Bonus RP: [Reason for filling out: zero soquili or bonus points.] Prompt: It's the foal's first solstice ceremony, and it's time to declare its commitment to the family! Response:
The comfortable heft in his mouth, encircling the familiar shape he'd come to adore, was what he focused on and felt the most. Slick tongue brushed soothingly against the back-end of the handle within his grasp, in a praising sort of gesture to the blade that was equally a part of him as his legs were. The only bond he was successfully able to make was with the knife he'd been gifted from his family, that he started to form an unbreakable connection with. It was a quiet blade, like him, but it was cunning and brave, its sharp teeth incomparable to any other. There was such a beauty to the way it spoke, soft and delicate like a whisper, as it pierced through even the toughest hides with a clean carving. It was not greedy, nor merciless in its words, only providing just enough to balance with Era's motions.
Truly, the pair were in sync.
The multitude of eyes boring into his young figure made Era uneasy, nerves starting to rise beneath his pelt, muscles tensing in natural response underneath. His mess of wings folded atop one another, laying along his back, twitched ever so slightly in a means to exercise some of the anxiety that was starting to rise like a finely fed flame. While there was only a mild amount of pressure felt, there were the voices that murmured the possible outcomes, and thoughts that others present had of him.
Do they not like my way of holding the blade, so close to the hilt? Or maybe my stance isn't strong, large enough... they would begin, his posture giving minute adjustments here and there as if to try and make himself more presentable as the concerns and worries flooded in.
Vibrant red eyes would flicker to a few of the faces aimed at him, the assumed judgments piling in with abundance, his teeth clenching firmer.
Are they judging my blade? It's shape, or size? Perhaps it's not sharp enough to their liking... more fidgeting, and his additional eyes snapped back and forth to each and every individual that were in their field of vision.
No, no, no.... he had to quiet these never-ending thoughts for the time being. He couldn't let them deter from his mission, and goal; following in the hoof and pawsteps of his many kin before him. A sort of unity that even he, someone so fearful of closeness, yet yearning desperately for it, and unable to fully understand the actions, words and reactions of others... even he would be seen as accepted by them. A group to feel safe to be who he is, without consequence, or disapproval. Where support was thriving and flourishing unabashed by difference.
Thoughts grew quiet, distant, muffled mutterings and whispers that he tried hard to block out. White noise, that was akin to humming, he forced into the back of his mind for the time being. With a deep breath, he drew his precious blade down with a lowering of his neck, the gorgeous twinkle and glint on its smooth, reflective teeth so breath-taking under the nights mirrored light. A single wing untucked from behind him, drawing and curving around to present itself before he and his knife. Staring at it, he gave but a hearts beat in pause, before a swift jerk of his head was given to tear into the feathery limb, slicing open a fresh, clean wound. The sensation was electrifying, the dull pain as it split the delicate surface beginning to throb in time with his pulse. Dark, thick liquid oozed out, dying and tainting the surrounding feathers, trickling along an unmarked path.
Slowly, the wing stretched outwards, dragging along the totem, the blood composed of his ancestors and those around him used as a means of paint as his oath was silently fulfilled and sealed.
Answer: Era definitely prefers meat to greens. While he can go without eating meat, he finds it quite unsavory eating nothing but greenery all the time. In truth, he doesn't fully understand the way two of his parents try and repel their want for meat, but he doesn't question or fault them for it. But he doesn't share their same views on it. For him, it is just a natural part of life, hunting, as many animals do it themselves.
He does like to hunt, yes, but only does so when getting it for either father or omnivorous mother { should she let him }, or for himself when hungry for it. Never for sport. Hunting in and of itself is an art to him; the chase, the rush, the dance. He also makes sure to make full use of the meals he is graced with, often having the pelts or bones become part of his work. As he dose with the trees, he honors the dead of his kills, having a respect towards those that have passed on.
Question: How does the foal feel about art? Is it creative? Analytic? Indifferent? Answer: Era LOVE art. It actually really calms him when he's engaged in it, participating or observing it. For his own works, he typically uses paints from various mashed up materials, or likes to make abstract pieces with different items pieced together. This can come in the form of sculpture, collage, or sometimes he likes to do so along dying trees. Usually his work is affiliated to what he's observed, or what's been rolling around in his mind. They can be expressions of what he's seen interaction wise between others, or a way to create representations of individuals he's come across. In regards to the trees, he'll usually create what he believes their personality or energy to possess, honoring their life by decorating their decaying corpse.
Era also likes to learn of different mediums of art, from dance, to musical themes. And he'd certainly like to dabble in them.
Question: What kind of relationship do you picture the foal having with its parents and siblings? Is it attached to any one or few of them in particular? What about extended family? Answer: I feel he may be a bit more inclined to hang around his father. He'll feel a lot of connection in the conflict his father goes through, just as he goes through a constant battle of internal clashes between logic and emotions, coupled with his disorders. He'll also want to make sure his father is keeping healthy, at least physically, also assisting with providing his meals when he can. More than likely, he'll keep a sort of "close-distance" with the stallion, wanting to be around him, but not wanting to be too overbearing or intrusive.
His siblings he will more than likely prefer to observe than involve himself in their fun and games. Feeling that he doesn't fit in to the duet that they perform, with the trading off of energy and complimenting one another, he'll be just as fine watching from the sidelines, and taking any interaction from them that they should provide.
With his mothers, he'll be quite fascinated by them as well, and will more than likely toddle after them to watch their day to day activities, or going ons. He'll take pleasure in just witnessing their engagements, or interactions, interested in learning and absorbing as much as he can from their actions.
I would really like for him to meet his extended family a great deal to find out how he'd feel about them. I know he too would want to meet them, and get a more indepth sense of his lineage, and add more information to his knowledge thirsting mind.
Question: This foal has discovered, after a little observation of several families, that its own family does not have quite a "normal" dynamic. Does this upset it, make it feel special, question things? Or can such a thing be brushed off? Answer: Honestly, Era has no problem with it.While he is able to notice that it doesn't always fall in line with what he sees elsewhere, he also knows there is no code in what form love has to come in, or how it has to be. He doesn't view the relationship his family has with one another as anything more foreign than a "normal" relationship. It doesn't even phase him, in short.
Question: Coming from such a complicated family can be hard and/or create bonds stronger than time. How does the foal feel about all the different idiosyncrasies in the group? Does it have any of its own? Answer: He finds it all to be "normal" in his eyes. Growing up around it, he can't really see it as anything out of the norm, or of ill-meaning. To him it is a part of what makes someone who they are, and can either help them be stronger, or debilitate and hinder them. Era has his own challenges with his personality disorder, and anxiety, with the preference for physical expression than vocal. In fact, he's interested in learning of the different idiosyncrasies that his family possess in order to better understand and piece together that they are.

Mad Hatter, or Just Mr. Hat? Username: ~Twilight...Angel~ Name: Virgil Blessed Sinclair Personality: Virgil is outgoing and loud when compared to his sisters. Often speaking his mind and getting himself into much more trouble than he needs to. This doesn't mean that he's bad per say, just a bit over the top sometimes. This can especially be seen when he is trying to seem much larger than he is. Often resorting to smooth taking his way out of a situation rather than taking the fall. The only good thing is that he really doesn't get into enough trouble as a foal for his parents to have to worry about too much trouble. When he is first getting started it will just be there simple foal things likes wandering too far from the family or using something he isn't supposed to. This may develop over time however, into something he can use to get his way from others. This could turn into a good or a bad thing. But any fights hr gets himself into, he'll be able to stand his own and get himself back out of. His family will never have to worry in that regard.
As he grows Virgil will potentially get a lot more got headed, often losing his temper over the smallest things. This will slowly take form as a foal. But not to a severe enough degree.
His family will always be a central part of his life. Valuing them above himself at all times. This kind of thinking will lead Virgil to exact his own revenge against anyone who does wrong to his family. Though he would never allow his mother or sisters to find out about these doings. Any revenge he takes out in honor of his family will be done quickly and without word to the rest. He is not afraid of anything and will often have a sharp tongue when upset. Insulting others while having a pleasant smile across goes face is something he will specialize in later down the road.
Through all of his mood swings and fierce tongue however, Virgil is a darling and caring stallion. He would never do someone he loved wrong and will always stand by their side. Taking care of them through anything they might need. Through all the good and the bad. This will make him an excellent mate and father much further down the line. Though that streak of vengeance will still be there. Protecting house own with all he has.
In terms of his vengeance, this has the potential to lead him down darker roads later in life. Perhaps getting mixed up in something that goes wrong, or even leading him to do something he wouldn't normally dream of doing. Leading him to the collapse of himself. He would become much darker and twisted. Often taking out his own anger and frustration on anything and anyone around him. Coming back out could be possible, but it would depend on how deep he made it in first.
Beyond all of his personality, he enjoys sculpting. It makes him happy and frees his soul. Virgil will create his works out of sand, sticks and just about anything else be can find. Often using homemade tools to help him create the look he wants. The inspiration he gets often comes from his own day to day life. Either from places he goes, or even his own family. His sisters are actually his favorite to try and capture. All their various moods and such. As he hunts, he will develop a curiosity for taxidermy. Often stuffing small creatures with leaves and getting to pose them. He will develop this skill along with his sculpting. Often selling his pieces or even trading them for other mediums to work with.
Plot Ideas:
Foal -
First Flight: Learning to use one's wings is an important part of growing up! Certainly the basket mates can only go so long without needing a lesson or two on goes to properly use their wings. With so many, is hard to tell which was to move them and when. This will certainly be a long project for everyone...
Family Arts: A creating session with his mother and sister. Sharing each of their own styles and thoughts on each other works. A good way for them reach to bond and maybe learn a bit more about each other. Virgil will be excited to try both of their styles, but he does wonder if they would be open to his own, much different, style of creating new things.
You Look Strange...: Virgil meets a foal who thinks his many wings are far too strange. This certainly confuses him as his wings are a great source of pride. It makes him think about his family and how much their differences make them who they are. Make them better. And he certainly tells this uppity foal just that!
A Good Friend: Everyone needs at least one good friend and Virgil believes that he has found his! This foal is just as full of strange little quirks as his family and himself! This certainly pleases them both to find another oddity and they bond strongly over it.
Adult -
Right and Wrong: This is the first time he encounters someone being foul to his family. Certainly he can't stand around and just let that happen! He decides to tell his family what he plans on doing, but he doesn't know what they will think of him... (This would, of course, strongly depends on how the rest of the family reacts to his decision.)
Stuffing Needed: Virgil had taken a much more active role in his taxidermy now that he isn't around his family as much. This means more stuffing the small animals he eats. And sometimes he even stuffs other Soquili's animals when they ask. He's even able to put them in much better poses than before. Very proud of the work he's done, he decides is trying to set up a permanent shop.
Sculpting the Truth: He finds a muse. This other notices him creating something while he watches them. Though he explains that they have simply struck his interest, not necessarily that he is in love with them. He would prefer to stomp out anything that would make them uncomfortable before he continues with goes work...
Colorful Creation: Virgil is astounded by the amount of colors this mare contains! He needs to get closer to this mare. Be inspired by her coat. It certainly wouldn't be hard with such beauty in front of him. He might even try to make her his own...
Response:
Virgil couldn't believe it was finally here. The day when he would be sworn into his herd. Sworn into his extended family. This was beyond big for anyone who was pay off the family. It meant that you belonged someplace. Meant that there were many who were looking out for you, or at least knew who you were. That certainly wasn't a bad thing. Who didn't want to belong. Who didn't want others in as larger family to know who they were? It certainly seemed like a rather simple and small proceeding when he had first heard about it, but now he wasn't so sure.
As he came toward his mother, knife waiting for him, he really want she what to think. Virgil was beyond excited to be welcomed as part of the herd, part of the family. But those now seemed much larger than he had anticipated. Slowly approaching to take his own knife. To take his own oath in getting of them all.
He shook his head out. It was certainly not that he didn't want to be part of his family. He loved them more than life itself. Loved them more than anyone would ever know. And he would do anything for them. Even if that meant giving up his own life one day. Though he was sure it would never come down to something like that. As he thought this he came in range of his mother. Taking his own knife from her, he moved to approach the totem. He would make this oath no matter what.
Taking a deep breath, Virgil gently took the knife to himself. Creating a small wound. Something large enough that would bleed a good amount without leaving too much of a mark. Gently touching the totem and leaving his mark. Finally he breathed out.
It was done. He was a part of the herd. A part of the family.
Answer: Though he does enjoy the hunt and will often partake in hunting his own small meals, he doesn't need the meat or blood to survive. He simply thinks that it tastes good. Though he will refrain from doing it often in front of Arcadia and Vapor.
Question: How does the foal feel about art? Is it creative? Analytic? Indifferent? Answer: He often likes to watch his mother and sister paint, but he finds much more enjoyment in sculpting or carving. Trying to use his hooves and various tools around himself to create works that represent things that he loves our feels strongly about. Often this will lead to representations of his family of things he has seen that make him happy.
Question: What kind of relationship do you picture the foal having with its parents and siblings? Is it attached to any one or few of them in particular? What about extended family? Answer: The family is everything to him. He loves each and every one of them, even if he feels that they don't mirror his feelings. His sisters in particular are important to him. Being the brother is an important job in his eyes. It means he should take care of them, even if they don't want it. This will often lead to him bothering them rather than helping them, or at least while they are younger. When they get older only time will tell. The rest of his extended family he finds interesting, but he doesn't have strong love our hate feelings toward any of them in particular. Maybe if he spent more time with them he would have his opinion swayed one way or the other.
Question: This foal has discovered, after a little observation of several families, that its own family does not have quite a "normal" dynamic. Does this upset it, make it feel special, question things? Or can such a thing be brushed off? Answer: He believes that all other families address the strange ones. How is it that they can stand to lead such boring lives. Surely things like more personalities and other quirks makes things far more interesting. And you are much more unique that way as well! He isn't one to be ashamed of his family or where he comes from. Instead he feels bad for the others.
Question: Coming from such a complicated family can be hard and/or create bonds stronger than time. How does the foal feel about all the different idiosyncrasies in the group? Does it have any of its own? Answer: He feels that all of the different dynamics in their family (even just this small section), is what makes them better than the rest. It's what sets them apart from all the other families. It makes him believe in his family all the more when he encounters others. As for himself, he has a kind of morbid curiosity for taxidermy. He will sometimes take one of his smaller animal kills and attempt to make it look alive again. Though he sees this as another form of art and certainly another form of sculpture. He will probably improve his skills over time, providing his services for anyone who is interested.
Mad Hatter, or Just Mr. Hat? Username: Nikkichomp Name: Vindictus Sinclair Personality: Vindictus varies wildly between being spunky, confident, and outgoing and being sullen, withdrawn, and fearful. This is due to the fact that he frequently hallucinates. When there are no visions in sight, he is at his best. When the things he sees are dark, twisted, and terrifying, he is at his worst. He begins becoming a bit detached from reality as soon as any hallucinations appear, sometimes even talking aloud to them. However, no matter how terrifying the apparitions are, he has always made it a point to work as hard as he can to make sure he is not lashing out at his loved ones, for they are his world and he would move heaven and earth for them.
As a foal, Vin had a lot of difficulty describing and explaining his visions. Having seen Arcadia making art, he attempts to mimic her style and portray the things appearing to him. As he grows older, he continues to take after his mother by making art, but he moves from paint to 3-D objects, using rocks, branches, leaves, and any other movable objects to form sculptures of the hallucinations appearing to him instead.
Vindictus is attached to and cares for his family members, but his favorite is Vapor. From a young age, he has taken to verbally sparring with the colorful stallion, especially when he is feeling feisty. To him, the banter is a sign of endearment, no matter how rough it gets.
Plot Ideas:
FOAL: *The First Hallucination: Vindi has his first hallucination as a young foal. How does his family react? (this can be comprised of any combination of parents and siblings)
*Monkey See, Monkey Do: Vindi has seen Vapor fighting with just about everyone in the family, but only Arcadia and Veri stand up to him. He thinks that it is funny when his moms stun Vapor into silence and wonders if he can do the same. Vindi goads Vapor into a verbal sparring match. How does Vapor react?
*Oops...: By now, banter and bickering between Vindi and Vapor has become a common occurrence. But this time, Vindi decides to use a few bad words he has overheard Vapor using in the past. One of his moms overhears and intervenes.
*Sibling and Family Bonding (misc)
ADULT: *Secret Garden: Vin has decided that he wants to try to create sculptures of his most terrifying recurrent hallucinations. However, he doesn't want them to be stumbled upon by just anyone. Because of this, he needs to find a place off the beaten path to build them and keep them safe. (This will likely result in several RPs -- solo, while finding the place, and while building a variety of sculptures; he may also show the sculptures to a very select few, and there is always the possibility of another Soquili finding him and his secret place)
*Search for Companionship: Vindictus is often content on his own, but as time has passed he has seen more and more of his family members forming couples or other romantic groups. He wants to find that for himself, but not just anyone will do. He decides to go on a journey and see if he can find someone with interesting enough characteristics to fit in with his family. (this could easily turn into a family journey if either sister or other relatives also wanted to make a similar trip)
Bonus RP: [Reason for filling out: bonus points!] Prompt: It's the foal's first solstice ceremony, and it's time to declare its commitment to the family! <3 )
Response: Vindictus carried the knife carefully between his teeth as he walked toward the totem, a visible spring in his step. His hide nearly twitched with excitement. Today was the day that he would finally officially become a part of the family he was born into. He was sure that nothing would ever make him feel more proud than to be accepted as an official member of the herd. He had been waiting impatiently for this since the first day he heard of the special ceremony. Vindi stopped in front of the totem and looked around. It seemed that the fates were smiling on him today as well, for there were no objects appearing in front of his eyes which the others could not see. Carefully, he lowered the knife to the ground without disturbing the hat perched on his head. He lifted his right foreleg and used his hoof to pin the handle of the knife against the earth so that the blade was at an angle tilting toward him. His hooves shuffled against the ground as he slid his left leg against the knife, drawing a thin, red line of blood from beneath his skin. The line swelled and formed a droplet which slowly rolled down his fetlock and into the dust beneath him. Vindictus grinned and looked up at the totem, joy shining in his eyes. His smile grew even larger when the totem staring back at him winked, welcoming him to the family.

Answer: Vindictus only hunts when his visions force him to. While most of his hallucinations do not affect his predatory drive, there are some which give him a nearly uncontrollable need to hunt and feed. He has remained self-aware enough to direct that drive toward prey animals instead of any Soquili who are around him, but once the urges subside, he experiences immense guilt and shame. For this reason, he suppresses any natural instinct he may feel to hunt.
Question: How does the foal feel about art? Is it creative? Analytic? Indifferent? Answer: Vin picked up art out of necessity and has grown quite attached to creating it. He is appreciative and shows interest in the art of others, but his primary focus is his own sculptures.
Question: What kind of relationship do you picture the foal having with its parents and siblings? Is it attached to any one or few of them in particular? What about extended family? Answer: Vin is quite attached to all members of his family, both immediate and extended. He believes there is no stronger bond than that of blood; no other relationship will ever be as important to him as his familial relationships, especially those of his parents and siblings. He loves his immediate family dearly. His favorite relation is Vapor, and he would do anything to protect his sisters if they were ever in need of it. However, he is not overbearing or overprotective of them.
Question: This foal has discovered, after a little observation of several families, that its own family does not have quite a "normal" dynamic. Does this upset it, make it feel special, question things? Or can such a thing be brushed off? Answer: Vindictus would be proud that his family was not boring and 'normal' if he stopped to think about the fact that they might not seem quite right to an outside observer. In fact, he would feel a bit sorry for all the other Soquili who were not lucky enough to be a part of his family, because he knows that they are the most wonderful family any Soquili could ask for.
Question: Coming from such a complicated family can be hard and/or create bonds stronger than time. How does the foal feel about all the different idiosyncrasies in the group? Does it have any of its own? Answer: He accepts everyone exactly how they are, and seeks the same kind of understanding and tolerance from others. He is not the sort to try to change any Soquili; to him, doing his best to understand them is the only appropriate response. He does have hallucinations which vary widely from non-existent to absolutely terrifying. His mood is highly dependent on the things that are appearing before him.

Mad Hatter, or Just Mr. Hat? Username: techabyte Name: Advent Sinclair Personality: To put it simply, Advent is a to the point kinda guy. He is somewhat brash, and will say whatever is on his mind at any point in time. You could say he has no filter. If he thinks that you are being stupid, he'll tell you. If he thinks that you're adorable, he'll let you know. If you got hay in your teeth, yea, he's going to point it out. He doesn't like the fact that he just blurts things out, but at the same time, he knows that people understand this about him. He tries to appear to be tough and composed, but he is really a goofball. He'll keep his head up high and give you the "disappointed" look, before breaking down and just wanting to snuggle and teach you the right way to do things. He does take his "training" ( for lack of a better word ) seriously, in terms of protecting his family, knowing that without some training he'd be up a creak. But even then, he tends to get distracted in his own mind. His attention span is small, as he usually starts thinking of ways to compose a story from all that is going on around him.
Protective: He adores his family, and is very much a "family oriented" kind of guy. He's protective to a tee, wanting to ensure that no matter what his family is safe and sound. He doesn't trust outsiders to the Cleaver Family, and will treat them almost as if they are pests to be swatted away; though being reprimanded for the action can lead him to stop being so violent. He thinks of his sisters as shining stars, wanting nothing more than to ensure their safety and happiness, and will do whatever he can in order to keep them well. His parents, all three of them, are idols to him, and he wants to make them proud. Knowing his fathers history, and how his mothers saved him, Advent finds himself wanting nothing more than to shield them from the hateful world out there. He insists on protecting them from everyone that could dare due harm, and will do whatever it takes, even risk his own life, to do so. He is blindly hopeful to the world around him, thinking that so long as they are safe in the herd, no one can hurt them. You could almost say that Advent is scared of what the outside world could do to them if they traveled too far. At the same time, he sometimes happens to dream of exploring out there, and seeing if his blind faith in his family is nothing more than that; faith. Though he loves them deeply, and trusts them, he wonders what lay beyond the herd grounds. What stories can be told out there?
Story Teller: Speaking of stories, he loves them; adores them really. Advent isn't much of a story teller yet, but he wants to learn someday. He thinks of them similar to how his mother, Arcadia, thinks of her art. He practices in pools of water to see if he is being believing, and sometimes on young foals. He wants to weave tales that make people gasp and lean into the story to the point of wanting nothing more than to hear more and more and more. Though Advent is still learning, he also has a creative spark hidden deep inside of him.
Lover?: Advent is confused when it comes to romance; he sees his parents having it, and understands it's a thing. But he doesn't think it's a think for him. Possibly because he is very much so keen to protecting his family that he worries he may split his attention and be unable to do so to it's fullest. But, he also knows that someday, romance may hit him in the face with an apple or something, and he'll end up falling head over hooves for a lovely gent or lady. Plot Ideas: [ I generally plot as I go with other people, I find that discussing plots with people is fun! But here are some rough and tumble ideas I have! ] - Advent stumbles upon his sisters possibly doing something dangerous ( or he assumes to be dangerous ) and tries to get them to stop or save them, because that's what brothers do! ( Foal ) - While walking the herd grounds to ensure that everything is safe and sound, he discovers a hidden danger and learns just why the Cleaver Family has those blades. ( Young adult ) - After deciding it was time to meander out of herd grounds and explore a little, he comes upon a traveling Soquili who tells him a long story, and fascinates him; this sparks his want to be a story teller himself, and wanting to learn from others about how to do so. ( Young adult )

Answer: Advent has thought about hunting before; mostly when he was more so toward his young adult phase of his life. But after realizing that it wasn't a needed trait, and that he has survived without it, he no longer thinks about it. Though it could make for an interesting story....
Question: How does the foal feel about art? Is it creative? Analytic? Indifferent? Answer: Advent loves art. Specifically that in stories. He admires his mothers art, thinking that it is beautiful and amazing; but then wants to add a story to it. Or have her tell it's story, or something! He just wants to know more.
Question: What kind of relationship do you picture the foal having with its parents and siblings? Is it attached to any one or few of them in particular? What about extended family? Answer: Advent is very protective of his family ( specifically his sisters ). He doesn't want them to be hurt by anything or anyone. He's very loyal and adores them with all his heart, and would do anything for them. His extended family doesn't get as much of the protectiveness he feels, but he is still loyal to them, and wants to ensure they don't come to harm.
Question: This foal has discovered, after a little observation of several families, that its own family does not have quite a "normal" dynamic. Does this upset it, make it feel special, question things? Or can such a thing be brushed off? Answer: Advent isn't certain why other families are different. But the way he sees it is that he has another parent to love him, and more support than the world could give him. He doesn't mind being a little different. There are stories with different.
Question: Coming from such a complicated family can be hard and/or create bonds stronger than time. How does the foal feel about all the different idiosyncrasies in the group? Does it have any of its own? Answer: Where as Advent is healthy and doesn't really have any issues of his own, he does find that those with need a little more protecting. He feels like they need him more than anyone, and just wants to make sure he is there to help no matter the cost.
Mad Hatter, or Just Mr. Hat? Username: tefla Name: Artemis Sinclair [Artemis was the Greek Goddess of the Hunt] (( Yes, I know the name is feminine but I wanted a bit of a different tact for this stallion )) Personality: Artemis (never call him Arty) is not your typical Sinclair family member. The stallion clearly understands what his expected place in the family is but he cannot live up to expectations. He flinches at the smallest hint of violence whether it be directed at him or one of the family. He runs from the idea of hunting to provide food and every time he touches the blade that was given to him it almost seems like he is being electrified. Artemis thinks that when his name was given to him that the gods began to play the cruelest trick on him. Artemis is completely aware that his attitude is abnormal. He tries to blend in but in overcompensating for his "inadequacies" he makes everyone around him aware of them. Plot Ideas: Fearing the Knife's Blade: On a visit to the Sinclair herd lands Artemis, although deemed worthy of receiving a bladed weapon from the Weapons Mistress, cannot bring himself to utilize the thing. He feels something akin to an electric shock every time he tries to pick it up in his teeth. The problem is not truly a physical one though as the problem is all in his mind.
Balancing on the Blade's Edge: This plot will take place in Artemis's later years. He will have found a way to balance his inadequacy with temperance. The stallion will most likely find a way to stash his weapon in caches that he will make in order to wander the lands without it. He feels that it is not truly necessary as he has other weapons that he can use to defend himself. However when the urge to hunt overcomes him it will be the only time that he'll utilize the weapon. Once he is done hunting though the blade will once again be stashed out of sight until the need is too great once again.
What is Love?: (Foal/Young Adult) Artemis begins to feel a strange emotion deep inside. He fears that his condition is evolving into something worse but the truth of the matter floors him when he realizes that this feeling only emerges when he is around a certain individual. Unsure as to what he is experiencing he goes to Arcadia when the feelings become too strong to ignore. --------------------- ROLEPLAY SECTION ---------------------
Bonus RP: [Reason for filling out: bonus points.] Prompt: It's the foal's first solstice ceremony, and it's time to declare its commitment to the family! <3 )
Response: Artemis shivered briefly as his turn to bleed on the Sinclair family totem neared. The foal knew that he had to do this but something inside just didn't feel right. Artemis watched as other members took their own turn to make the tiny nick and bleed onto the stone sculpture. Even standing where he was the scent of blood made his mouth water but he pushed down the desire to act upon the need to hunt. In suppressing the urge Artemis lost track of time. Suddenly a loud "psst" from behind alerted him to the fact that it was his turn. The moment that marked his passage into the Sinclair Herd had come. It was too soon - way too soon. Feeling multiple gazes on him Artemis bit back the cry of frustration that threatened to erupt from his tiny frame.
The foal's legs buckled underneath him as he gingerly approached the statue. Artemis glanced at the reddish smears that adorned the totem already before feeling bile rise from his stomach. The knife dropped from his mouth as he hastily stepped away from the totem. Tears filled his eyes as he scrambled to get away. "I CAN'T."

How does the foal feel about hunting? Does it feel the need to hunt, or is its blood diluted enough that it can subsist on greens alone? Answer: Artemis quails at even the thought of hunting. Something inside of him rebels at the smallest suggestion that he needs blood to survive. Although knowing that his blade marks him as a member of the Sinclair Family he fears the sharp blade way too much. He unwillingly uses the weapon when the urge to hunt becomes too strong to ignore. The blade will then be hidden so thoroughly that it takes a long time to find it again.
Question: How does the foal feel about art? Is it creative? Analytic? Indifferent? Answer: Artemis doesn't feel the affinity to create art like his mother does. The stallion knows that staying in one place is a great idea but if it is in close vicinity to where he has stashed his blade he becomes agitated. The only way to calm down is to stay on the move. The need to create masterpieces would slow down his wandering ways.
