Annoyed and injured.

The stallion fell to the ground unable to walk any further. It was stupid of him to think he could take on a bear without any repercussions. It was stupid of him to think after months and months of being lazy about training all of a sudden he would remember everything his father taught him. Then again, he hadn’t thought about his father in a long time. He preferred not to think of him and how he pretty much used him as a punching bag. He didn’t have a choice and had to become a warrior or leave the family. He listened to his father until he grew of age to have his own mind. Then he decided to leave. He left without so much as looking back and he knew his father took the blow hard. He knew he was upset when he left, but he didn’t care much. He still didn’t. He wanted his own life and be able to have a choice in what he would do with it.

But look where it got him now? Bloody and damaged unable to move any further then this spot. The bear got a few good hits in and that was all it really needed. Of course, he took the bear down, but at a cost of his life. He didn’t even know if he was going to make it. He was strong, but he wasn’t strong enough to cheat death.

His breathing was labored and heavy with his vision blurring at every passing minute. He was too stubborn to call for help and he really wasn’t in a position to do so anyway.

“How could I be this stupid…You raised a dumb son, dad…too bad I won’t get to see your stupid annoying face before I die..you would probably tell me all the battle stances I did wrong…” He let out a choked laugh as he struggled to stay awake. It was hard when your body kept telling you to sleep. He tried to adjust himself and move on his side, but it wasn't working. The skull covering his features was a little jarred and nearly falling off his face. He didn't like anyone seeing his features. Once he retrieved the skull, it never left his face and he didn't know if it was because of a false sense of security or something else. He never thought that much about it.

“I miss your stupid face sometimes..” He said lightly under his breath, as the sound of ruffling couldn’t be heard. He didn’t know if it was a predator ready to eat him up or someone else. He didn’t have the energy to look letting out a disgruntled groan in protest.

Aimless wandering was something Shifa was starting to become accustomed to. Since he'd left his herd to strike out on the usual ritual of exploration for the sake of furthering ones personal growth, along with hopefully growth in their medical abilities, the young stallion had found himself absolutely, and completely lost. Not only that, but so uncomfortably alone. It was a rarity, for him, in a significantly sized herd, composed of various sorts that were always around. And while privacy was an easily achieved necessity there, it was nice to be able to know that someone was always around. But out here, in the expanding land, he found himself lacking any sort of companions, or company. The wildlife would count, of course, but they hardly gave him much mind. There was a faint sting to that realization, something akin to how he was sometimes forgotten or fell in the shadows of those back home. But he was never completely alienated, given his rather odd personality... at least compared to most he'd grown up with.

Alas, there was nothing to be done to quell his lonesome, solo adventure, but his acceptance of it didn't aid in quelling his anxious and neurotic nature. He was too nervous to stay in one area for too long, for fear he may attract some sort of unsavory characters, as he had been warned of back home. Ones that would tear the tender flesh of someone so dainty as him into pieces! And so he was almost continuously on the move.

Long slender tail behind him flicked and curled ceaselessly, the glowing tip brushing the grasses beneath it, his vibrant eyes on the canvas of black sclera always wearily looking around him, from behind those shining glasses. His steps placed with caution, but kept relatively smooth, if not hitching from time to time at alarming sounds. Quietly, a little sigh escaped him, ears dropping into his pale hair. How was he supposed to grow as a stallion if all he did was keep up this nomadic lifestyle without any sort of... encounters of any kind! Why was Risk so hard to find? His scent had been picked up on in small spurts in various places Shifa explored... but the elements would leave the trail unfinished, and leave the medic crestfallen.

It was just as he began to wallow on that fact, that his nose caught a very pungent, and familiarly comforting scent. Instantly, his head raised a little higher, and his eyes blinked with an alertness. Nostrils twitching, his body went still.

Blood....

A tingling sensation ran through him when the perfume was registered, butterflies rising from stomach to chest, an excitement quietly brewing beneath his pelt. It was so fresh and fragrant... he couldn't help but start moving again to venture closer towards it, desperate to find its source. Like many in his clan, he had an unnatural obsession and lust for the grotesque... and blood was his forte. Such a beautiful red that came in so many gorgeous hues... its sharp, distinct cologne unlike any other... the taste harsh, and strong... trotting briskly along, he pushed through a few shrubs that were in his path, before he arrived at the cause for his elation.

There, laying in a heap of obvious pain, and clinging to the strings of life, was another Soquili...! Upon first glance, Shifa was surprised, followed by his usual routine of nervousness and anxiety when meeting someone new. But other instincts kicked in much sooner, and quicker, eyes scanning over the battered body that was working harder than need be to sustain itself. A bit of heat prickled his cheeks, and his own breath shallowed a little, as he tried to calm himself, swallowing heavily as he pressed on to approach the injured stallion.

His working mind overpowered his intrigue, for the most part, looking along the tears, gashes, punctures, and bruises. A safe distance was kept, too, from the damaged male, only after his initial inspection did Shifa speak up, "y-..you are in grave need of medical attention... If.. if you do not mind.. I can provide assistance.." he meekly piped up, already stepping closer, and lowering his neck to get a better look. He'd need to work quickly... that blood loss was going to be the biggest contributor to the fallen stallions dwindling health.

He wanted to scare the other away or chase him off somehow. He didn't want to be bothered, but he knew if he didn't get help soon he was going to die. It was obvious that he bit off more then he could chew with that bear. He turned his head to face the stallion. He was oddly colored and even a little feminine, but he didn't have time to pester him about his looks. He didn't have time for any of that at the moment. He had to say something or this stallion was going to leave and then he really would be in hot water. "Just do what you got to do.." He said even though it came out as a mumble. He didn't know what else to say. He hadn't had a conversation with anyone in months and this stallion looked like he was afraid of everything. So in his mind, he tried to be less mean because there were over a hundred things he could have said instead.

He shifted slightly so that the stallion could get a better look at the gaping wounds on his body. There weren't many, but there was enough to make one die from blood loss. "I'm terrible at healing myself...I as never taught properly.." He coughed slowly rising to his feet in an attempt to make himself look less weak. He didn't want to give off the wrong impression. It was something his father always did. No matter how much Gabriel was hurt, he always looked like it didn't phase him one bit. He wanted that to be him.

He stumbled all the way up to his feet feeling his legs give out a little bit, but luckily there was a tree right there for him to slump over on. He was a mess and he could see the other stallion looking at him with probably some form of sympathy. He didn't want that. He didn't want anyone to feel sorry for him. He did this to himself. He chose to fight that bear and be an idiot.

"So what do you have to do? Is it okay that I stand?" His breath was ragged and his eyes were closing slightly to show how weak he was.

This wasn't good.

"If you do help me...maybe there is some way I can repay you.." He knew this was going to take a lot out of the smaller stallion so he had to give him something that was worth it. Maybe his services in exchange for the healing? He didn't even know what this male would want.

"What would you want?" He asked hazily as he looked over to him feeling blood trickle down his back leg. They had to hurry before predators smelt the blood.

Those gaping wounds were so lovely... the vibrant red that glistened from them, and the blood that dripped and spilled out like a ripened berry being squeezed or punctured... He only allowed himself to fawn over them only slightly, forcing his mind to keep focused on the task that was before him. It was a chance to finally put to test all his teachings and training, in the name of his beloved herd.

He waited patiently for the other stallion to accept his presence, and offer, taking a few steps closer as he was given clearance. A wince would show as the injured male stumbled and attempted more movement, making Shifa all the more concerned, and lock into protocol mode. There really wasn't time to waste with the moving the other was doing only aiding the blood loss process. Biting back his nerves, he trotted right up to the other, and set to work,

"P-please don't move so much.." he requested gently, eyes flickering about to the battle wounds, accessing which should be stopped up first, and which areas were less worrisome. Those eerie eyes of his flickered around briskly, and without hesitation, gathering information skillfully. But all this talking coming from his patient wasn't going to do the inflicted any good.. A small glance was made to the warriors face, to which Shifa only briefly let himself make eye contact, before gingerly letting his nose bump a spared portion of body that hadn't been marred by what ever did this.

"Y-you do not have.. to speak for now.. Please, reserve your strength, if you can." he spoke again, with the same soft, quiet tones, "I will just need you to stand a little while, so I can reach all the areas. Please bear with me, a little while." he requested, before he began the healing process. Trotting around the burly stallion, he would give brief, light touches to the opened flesh, his already glowing, clear horn glowing even brightly as his magic was utilized. This would assist the rehealing, and scabbing. Slowly, each puncture would ease its oozing, platelets kicking into action from the accelerated order given to them. Shifa traveled around the entirety of the stranger, making sure not a single one was missed.

Bruises were passed over, for now, as he came around to the injured stallions front, looking up to his face. He stared intently into his eyes, getting a reading, before walking back around to lightly nose at the four limbs, checking for any breaks. The same was done with even more care along the ribcage, testing there as well. With a glance towards the others face, he gave a few more brisk nosings to his shoulder, encouraging him to lay down, "Please rest here, a moment, while I gather some ingredients." he instructed, "And, in as few words as possible, tell me of any sharp pains you may feel on your body, that are deeper than skin." hopefully nothing was broken... It didn't seem like anything was lodged in the wounds, luckily. The cuts into the pelt were slash marks, which was better than impaling ones.
