Favorite Foods:
Burgers – Any kind so long as it has the essentials: a beef patty and cheese between two bread buns.
Crepes – Any sweet crepes, but his #1 choice is nutella with bananas and a dollop of whipped cream on top.
Donuts – Chocolate crullers are his favorite, followed closely by jelly-filled donut holes.
Coconut Water – Not technically a food, but this is his go-to drink aside from water.
Hobbies:
Fitness – As far as Rhys is concerned, fitness is what saved his life. He grew up hard and had to face a number of things kids should never have to face, and without this he probably would have succumbed to the stress of it all. His first exposure to it was around the time he started middle school, and it just snowballed from there. His high school football coach taught him to take his anger out on his own body in a healthy, productive way; use the extra energy to build himself up instead of tear someone else down. So he did. As a result, the activity became very cathartic for him, and after a while he simply defaulted to it whenever he started feeling that something was off. Even now, after entering Deus, it's still his number one coping mechanism. Over time and after plenty of research and trial-and-error, he's managed to develop his own workout regimen using Crossfit methodology and movements, though generally his workout for the day depends on whether he has access to the necessary weights the movements need or not.
Massages – This is one of those activities that benefits people he considers worth much of anything to him since he likes to give massages as much as he gets them. Sort of gets them, anyway. People's hands on him isn't really his kind of thing so his version of a massage for himself is a really good roll-out with an exceptional foam roller and a massage ball. It isn't unusual to find him spending a lot of time rolling out, especially after a brutal workout and in the days following, but he'll also just roll-out while lounging in his dorm. It is his second-most favorite way to wind down and he isn't shy about sharing his "passion" for it with the people around him, especially other athletes. Over time after realizing the benefits massages gave him, he also came to find that giving them seems to be relaxing in its own right. He learned everything he knows from videos and practicing on willing neighbors from before. He likes to think that he's rather good after working as a part-time masseur, but the skill seems to be wasted on Deus island.
Parkour – Youtube can be a very dangerous thing to someone who's feeling bored, indifferent and looking for something new and exciting to do. That was Rhys's mindset when he came across his first Parkour video on the site, and he just fell in love with it. It was a high-intensity cardio workout with the added bonus of the adrenaline rush. Now how could he pass that up? He saved up what he could, read up, took classes and practiced, practiced, practiced. After two years of semi-consistent practice he's become exceptionally skilled but, as with anything relating to workouts, is always looking to improve in order to expand on the sorts of obstacles he can take on. Typically Parkour, for Rhys, is less cathartic and done more for the rush than anything else. He enjoys the challenge and the various ways it can be applied to his new life as a Hunter. He does it when he wants to be reminded that he's actually alive. The relatively high risk involved is a small reassurance that yes, he can still feel something, even if that something is fear.
Skateboarding – It was his first ever "set of wheels," and he's just been attached ever since. He doesn't actually skateboard, per se; it's primarily just a mode of transport for him, but he does enjoy attempting the occasional trick if he's up to the risk of accidentally breaking his board and going for months on end without one because he needs to save up to buy a replacement. He also does a whole lot of thinking while on his board, so when he needs to brainstorm he just gets on it and thinks. Usually what he does is just try to balance on the back wheels of the board, or he rolls idly around while looking off into the distance. Both are, of course, very dangerous activities when one isn't paying attention, but thankfully he has mind enough to not do this out in the middle of any street. Usually he's just in his living room or some enclosed space with room enough to maneuver on a skateboard. Another thing he enjoys doing with his board and disassembling and reassembling it, particularly when it's late and he has a hard time falling asleep.

General Personality Description:
Rhys is seemingly mild-mannered and acceptably sociable, if a bit more detached than the average person. He is quietly angry with the world and everything and everyone in it, and his thoughts are often muddled with sarcastic, less than savory commentary as he goes about the day to day. He is also forever a cynic. His temper is quick to flare but he chooses to vent his misgivings either in the gym or on something equally productive.
Observed Personality Traits:
Trooper – Considerably one of his better traits, Rhys is what some might call a "trooper." He copes well and pushes forward to get to his intended goal. The move and subsequent adjustment to life at Deus, as well as the new daily duties and activities required of him, have done little to discourage him. He is able to take challenges on as they come, diving into them headfirst and making decisions aggressively, striving for completion of the task as quickly and efficiently as he can manage. Rather than the "get back up if you fall" mentality, he sports more of a "if you fall, don't even bother getting up--just keep moving" thought process. Difficult situations may knock him down, but they never deter him. He's also managed to find at least one effective means of stress relief, which certainly has helped him when dealing with surprises in the day to day.
Fit – He trains hard so he can fight hard. Rhys knows his body's limitations very well and has no problems pushing his own boundaries in order to get the most out of each training session. It doesn't matter how long he needs to work, or how harsh the conditions get. His background in physical fitness is primarily what lends itself to his ability to handle the difficult physical demands at Deus as well as he does (which, as a Trainee, isn't exceptionally well, but he also isn't typically the first to back down or get knocked out). Combat classes are a personal favorite of his, but anything involving physical training is something that he takes particular interest in. This trait is more a double-edged sword in that it has its obvious benefits, but it also has significant drawbacks that depend on how far and how hard he decides to push himself.
Detached – He can mingle with the best of them, look the part of the average person who is well about to socialize and make friends, but a closer look will bring about the observation that any and all relationships he makes are made with an arm's-length approach. No relationship he's ever had has lasted longer than a a few months, and no friendship has ever withstood any sort of test, be it time or trust or otherwise. Most of his relationships are shallow at best, with him often being the first to look at the negative aspects perhaps in hopes of finding a reason to cut ties with whoever he feels might be getting too close. He has yet to trust anyone with his personal life story and the struggles that came with it, much preferring to be thought of simply as the guy who had a tough upbringing and barely managed to make it out by the skin of teeth.
Reckless – Feeling alive is something he enjoys doing. It is something he feels he needs, which is why parkour is one of his most beloved activities. It is the perfect mix of fitness with a much higher risk of bodily harm that brings about an adrenaline rush induced high. His recklessness is not, however, limited to just his hobby. It extends to just about any activity that has a high risk for injury, which is why training is also something he spends more than his fair share of time in doing. Boredom is typically what precedes this behavior, though at times it may also come about when he is alone on a mission or assignment. While he enjoys the rush from taking risks in whatever situation he might be in, he is always careful to avoid involving anyone else besides himself. He like the rush, not the idea of recklessly endangering anyone's life but his own.

Mist Hunters are the toughest division by far to be in. They are expected to continuously update themselves with all the other division duties, though to a lesser extent. For example, if working with the Death Division, they would also be expected to gather intel, but perhaps not know as well the extent of why they are doing it.
Because of their jack-of-all-trades role, Mist Hunters are required to be extremely flexible in their schedules. They are the division that the other divisions call in when one member in their dispatch team is missing. They are the division that have the ability to "fill in" for other divisions.
Mist Hunters, due to their experience in all the other divisions, are excellent solo operators. If there are solo missions, usually a Mist Hunter is the first person to be dispatched, as they have the ability to understand all aspects of the division, not just heavily focus on one, and execute a small mission from beginning to completion with the most success. Because of their resourcefulness, Mist Hunters are also extremely valued in Deus Ex Machina, but few trainees graduate to being a Mist Hunter.
It is by far, required of Mist Hunters to learn all the activities of the other divisions. Instead, they simply must be prepared for the fact that they may need to learn extra roles and duties, or assume a filler-in role when the time is needed. While fast learning and adaptability is often an asset for their division, several Mist Hunters often begin to focus a little more on a couple of divisions.
Lastly, Mist Hunters are often proud of their adaptability and resilience: because of this, they are also known as the special-ops division.

Its style seems to be a mix between a glaive and a sword, with Zephira's race lending itself to the overall design's look and feel.

A vintage leather necklace (like so), but including a real Quetzalcoatl feather along with the metal feather, both of which are sandwiched between the two rings.
General Personality Description:
Zephira's anger is unbridled and untamed. She is spiteful of her situation and loathe to admit that she has to rely on Rhys to be her eyes and ears. She is of the opinion that mincing words is just a waste of effort, and so often speaks harshly and with a critical tone. Her feelings are not centered on Rhys, though, and are actually more generalized to the hunter world at large; he just happens to be the only one who can hear her.

General Room Description:
One room with a single sized bed, stand-alone temporary closet, desk. Lighting is poor, and in some rooms it's non-existent. No electrical outlets.
Previous Use(s):
Storage room. Contains roughly 40 boxes, the majority of which are average in size and filled to the brim with stuff while some are smaller file boxes containing paperwork and other such tedious things. Prior to its re-purposing, aside from dust and the occasional unpleasantly oversized insect there was nothing of much interest in this room.
Current Arrangement:
He's arranged it like a normal room, utilizing the cardboard boxes to make a half-wall and a makeshift table in the middle of his room (with two chairs, one he sets off the side) that he uses as a "dining table" when he brings food in (because he prefers to not eat at his desk if he can avoid it). The excess boxes he just stacks and keeps in clusters against the wall or to fill up space between furniture. [ click ]
