Entrance
The lucky attendants would each receive a handwritten invitation with gold filigree inviting them to what would be an interesting wedding undoubtedly. Finding the house hopefully didn't prove too much difficulty; it was the only house intact in the area and it was relatively large so it stood out. The house was an old victorian house that looked run down and well worn; almost like a haunted house. It wasn't decorated, there weren't signs, just a door that you were expected to go in.
As per tradition, Jack was in the entrance to greet people as they arrived while Chel was nowhere to be seen, hidden away somewhere with her bridesmaids (and Chris). Standing next to Jack was an enormous forest giant golem, shockingly large in comparison (which was saying something since Jack was a solid 6'7). In the background was a playlist of relaxed acoustic guitar songs played from a shitty set of speakers.
From the living room you can also see the backyard through a set of double doors that are left open. The backyard is set up with chairs that somewhat ironically have LIFE LAB 113 written on the back (they were borrowed; it wasn't like the island had a plethora of chairs). Also in the backyard is a set of repurposed Christmas lights hanging from the tree and a few paper lanterns hung from various spots.
There is also the kitchen and upstairs if you want to explore, but there's nothing particularly special about those areas. The master bedroom on the second floor is completely off limits, and any attempt to brooch the door probably results in a pair of very angry girls. Quote: Hi all! If you're quoted it means one or more of your characters was invited to this lovely wedding~. Treat it like you would any drabble RP; you can respond to any prompt at any time.
Everyone invited is also welcome to bring a +1 whether that be another hunter or a golem.
If you have any questions you can totally PM/IM me or medi.
Thank you and have fun!!

Bridal Party
Upstairs in the master bedroom was not all that different from downstairs actually. Chel should have been letting Abbi and Gretchen fuss over her, but she was far too lax a personality for hyper anxiety. She'd already done her hair and makeup on her own earlier so there was nothing left to fuss over. All she had to do was slip on the dress and put some shoes on. The anti-bridezilla.
Actually she was debating cracking a beer at the moment. Parties were more fun with a little buzz.
"Oh that reminds me- I got a present fer you guys," she said with a stretch, moving to her closet and fumbling around for a somewhat dented looking shoebox.

Bridal partyFor as fancy as the bride herself was for her special day, the rest of the wedding seemed to be fairly lax as far as style was concerned. There was no dress code, no particular outfits the bridal party was supposed to wear, no matching hair styles, nothing that one might find in a traditional wedding party. And that worked for them. As the girls(and Chris) were waiting, Gretchen was putting the finishing touches on her own hair. She'd curled it before she'd arrived, and now she was twisting back the sides loosely so she could pin them at the back of her head. Elegant but simple. Her dress was black and hung just over her knees, her shoes solid black ballet flats, and her jewelry was simplistic. The classic little black dress, it went with every occasion. She paused as Chel got to her feet and headed for the closet, brows arching as she drew out an old box. "Aren't we supposed'ta be gettin' you presents, hot stuff?" Chel might have been getting married, but that didn't mean Gretchen was going to stop flirting with her.

Entrance
Jack looked as stiff and formal as ever in his tuxedo despite the occasion, even moreso perhaps with his shorter hair and the angry scar at his neck. What offset it slightly was the flower pinned in his coat pocket and the far, far more jovial and literal giant at his side. Owain, with his flower-and-bird crown and warm smile and ever welcoming (if perhaps too pointy) fingers, was happy to reach out and gently take the hand of each guest, bowing and careful not to poke someone with his branched head.
"Welcome, welcome!" the forest giant greeted, sounding all the world like a proud father. "Please, this way to the yard. I was told there are normally seating arrangements for this sort of ceremony, but such restrictions have been lifted in lieu of the complications that would arise." Read: effort.

Bridal PartyThe conversation that made Chris a bridesmaid had been very simple.
Hey, you're gonna be a bridesmaid.
No s**t, what else would I be? A groomsman? Pfft.
And that's how he ended up perched on a stool in the master bedroom, looking pretty in his black suit and pink tie (it matched Chel's hair, not a coincidence). A pastel flower crown took the place of his usual snapback, because he should at least look the part of a braidsmaid. "I'm 100% okay with getting presents. I hope it's expensive."

Diana honestly hadn't expected to be invited, but there she was at the large Victorian house once more. She'd never been to a wedding, didn't really know the formalities and what not. It was part of the reason why she'd decided to bring a plus one. He was married once he'd surely know how to act. Though this was probably an unorthodox wedding compared to most. What with the giant greeting them and all the hunters milling about. "Hey congrats on getting hitched!" Diana grinned, tugging Max along behind her as she congratulated the groom himself. She'd really only talked to Jack over twitter a time or two, so it was nice to finally see the man in person.

EntranceYes. Nice. Nice to meet the giant of a hunter and his literal giant. Max was sure he had read something about weapons and golems and permission while he had been cramming as much Deus information into his brain as he could, but he never would have imagined this, not even after the undying. The creature was graceful, kind, concerned. Best of all, he looked like Groot. History Major Groot, now with more lifelike movement! Buy yours today! As if he didn't have enough to think about already, Caper was thrumming with excitement as well. He doubted he would hear the end of how excited she was before the end of the ceremony at this rate. Once his hand had been returned to him, he tucked it behind his back, dragging his eyes away from Owain and down to the groom. "Yeah, congratulations." Max smiled. He had no wise words about weddings or marriage, since his had been nowhere near this put together and had ended in divorce, but he was happy for them nonetheless. "I'm Porter from... twitter, I guess. I'm just the plus one. Diana was actually invited."

GiftAt some point in the day, before the wedding took place, Chel would find a lidded box, wrapped in silver and white striped wrapping paper, sitting atop the bed in the master bedroom. Inside she would find a pair of shoes, with a small, hand written, simple note on top. note Last chance to run away with me instead, darling. F

Gift
Much earlier that day (after breakfast but before makeup) Chel had retired to their room to get something and discovered the present.
It took her a solid minute or two to piece together what the note said, but when she did she cracked a smile and sent a text.seussi Text to Finn earlier that day: was that not stil the plan? wink

"Nobody said you wasn't gettin' me presents," Chel said with a skeptical look. She was looking forward to free stuff. There better have been free stuff.
"But you guys helped me out so I thought I'd get a little somethin'." She opened the shoebox to reveal two flower crowns that matched Chris' (he'd gotten his early because duh maid of honor privilege). Gretchen's was a mixture of white flowers and light lavendar flowers while Abbis was more white with pale blues and pinks. They didn't match, but Chel never matched. Chris on the other hand got a pat on the cheek and a promise that he'd get his present later. AKA Chris got nothing the end.
"Anyways let's get my tits in a dress, yeah?"

PodiumJason had not just been 'invited'. ooohh no, he was going to be heavily involved with the wedding, so much that he would what most would call the priest. Except he wasn't, he was just a moon hunter who may have had ancestors who had done this sort of thing before. Whether Chel had known about this he wasn't sure, but when she had approached and asked if he could do this the moon hunter was only to happy to agree. And then walk away panicking about how he was supposed to do this sort of thingCould hunters even perform marriages?? Regardless, he had turned up early wearing a three piece suit, papers in hand, then stood near the podium and tried not to look like a nervous wreck, offering brief smiles to Solia whom he had invited. Wait, she wouldn't find it awkward being invited to a wedding would she??

"Max," she laughed, nudging him with her elbow when he introduced himself by his last name. She happened to like his first name just fine and honestly didn't understand why he continued to call himself Porter. She wouldn't argue with his decision, but she didn't have to like it. She just hoped he didn't get too mad that she'd been telling everyone his name was Max. Oops. "I wonder if we get Caper into one of those golem things what she'll look like. Maybe something large and glorious. The size of a house even."

Solia had been offering Jason encouraging smiles and small hand waves each time she caught him looking at her. Yet she recognized the hunter and golem pair and felt a hint of melancholy at the thoughts a of them. It had been such a nice interview back then. To think, now the giant and the beanstalk were getting married. (Technically just Jack, but Owain was side husband as all weapons were park of a package deal to Solia). To Chel of all people, but Solia had lost much of her ability to maintain energy on feeling negative over their past rather one sided twitter tiffs. Then again, she'd lost a great deal of her ability to feel much energy at all, she was thin as a twig, and paler than what she'd been in the previous months. A small bandage covered her inner arm, and it was hard to hide given the light blue skirt and white frilled top she wore. With as much of her old enthusiasm as she could muster, she took her time to greet Owain and Jack. "Hi. I hope you both are not too nervous." she joked, letting herself relax. "It's nice to see you again Owain, I'm glad to see that you and Jack have come as far as you have." Jack got a wink. "Even if I'm a bit shocked that you would manage to get Chel of all perople to settle down. A secret skill- I'd never had thought you to be such a charmer." She giggled, giggled of all things. "But I can't chat too long, Jason is going to be reading and-" She gave the sigh only someone in utter love could give. "I get to see how he looks in a suit. You're making more than just a Bride's night you know!" poke mattix Jason you realize by bringing her here she's going to get ideas

"Yes, Max, if you want." He wasn't mad. The Porter thing hadn't caught on like he'd hoped it might anyway. And it was a hell of a lot easier to respond to the name he was used to, especially with all of the other things that were on his mind around here. He shifted to the side a little to get out of the way of any new arrivals, listening to one of those things as he did. Oh, no! I think I'm about the size of your van, actually! She'd seen it in his head before, and even though she didn't think using the human brain was the most accurate way to measure things, it would have to do. Max could fit inside the van. She could eat a person. Same difference. My school form was a lot smaller. I mostly want one of those body bags for the legs! Look at that guy's legs!Max snorted. "Maybe. She just said a lot of... I don't even know what... but I'd guess she's more girl-sized than glorious. I'm sure Akali's the one who's built like a house." His ego, maybe. Oh s**t, disssss. Diana's weapon was still a mystery to Max, but he got the feeling the demon wasn't as nice as she made him out to be. Until he knew for sure, Max thought it best to keep up the flattery.
